Connman doesn't reconnect on resume

Since an update about a week ago, connman no longer reconnects to network after system has been resumed. I have to manually issue
systemctl restart connman
to get it to reconnect.
The state of service is "running" prior to restarting it.
What could be amiss here?

Alad wrote:Are you still having this issue with 1.28 (released 18 Feb)? Works for me now with no hacks.
Yes, it does. In fact, I don't need to suspend the system. It's enough if in connman, I disable wifi and then re-enable it. 4 out of 5 times It won't come back on. Here's what connman says when I try to scan for wifi after re-enabling it:
We received a DBUS reply message indicating an error while trying to scan technologies.

  • RFC sender adapter doesn't reconnect after a R/3 down

    Hi everybody,
    We are in PI 7.0.
The RFC sender adapter doesn't reconnect automaticaly after a shutdown/restart of the R/3 system.
Theoritically, the system should retry after 2, 4 .... 3600 seconds  but it doesn't do.
Is there anybody who have an idea ?
    Thank in advance.
    Best regards.
    Eric.

After the restart of R/3 system , when I look in SM59, I receive the answer that the program is not registered ( RFC sender adapter) .
As I told in my previous post, since the RFC adapter has lost the connection, the RFC destination is not registered. Just try to stop/start the channel and reactivate. the destination should work fine then.
I read in documentation that is done automatically but that is not the case.
Thats right. but it doesn't happen usually. probably u can ask SAP to explan this with an OSS

That's probably BIOS bug, have a ask MSI here: http://ocss.msi.com.tw/ They can send you a new BIOS to try.
I supposed that this issue is caused by BIOS bug, and this speculation was confirmed. MSI Support has sent to me link with BIOS version 132, which solves the problem
Under this link you can find this BIOS: http://rapidshare.com/files/127845890/a7395ims.132.zip.html

  • Make VPN 1) reconnect to resume 2) reconnect on new connection

Currently the VPN connection get's disconnected if the phone is in idle state for a while. I assume it has to do with networking getting into idle state to preserve the battery life. However, when I resume working on iPhone the VPN connection should reconnect automatically. Right now I have to go through the menu every time to reconnect. That's a major security problem. If I don't reconnect it manually I am basically using the device without VPN. I am breaching security policy of our company and if data get's lost I will be on line for it. Back in those old Nokia days I could make the VPN encrypted connection mandatory and keep it permanently on.
Same happense in case when the connection (Wifi) get's lost and I reconnect again (same or different network). Same here, VPN would be disconnected and I have to manually reconnect. I can have the best secured connection SSL or L2DP/IPSec on the server side but what gives if the VPN on iPhone has the major bug above and poorly implemented. This has been persistant problem for many months and still not resolved.

Not sure if this helps, just an idea: in the iOS config profiles, when setting up the cisco VPN, if you use it in cert based mode, you can specify domains, which always invoke the VPN connection, even if was disconnected a while ago. I think this is a system wide settings, so if a third party app tries to connect to that domain, it starts the VPN too. We did not use or test this (only the mode which involves an RSA token and frequent reconnections ), but I am avare the possibility.

  • Loses Airport Connection when sleeping...doesn't reconnect automatically.

My MBP needs to be reconnected manually to my airport upon reawakening after a mac-nap. My iBook doesn't have this problem. Any suggestions on how to tweak this?

In the Network System Preference (Airport > Airport) try…
    1) Changing the "By default, join" preference to "Preferred networks" and then moving your most often used network to the top of the list.
    2) In the Options… of the same tab change "If no preferred networks are found" option to "Keep looking for recent networks".

  • Pool pairing : lync client doesn't reconnect to backup pool

    Hi
I'm currently testing lync 2013 failover via pool pairing. (IM only)
Once I stop the Frontend service however on the pool01 server, I get a notification on the lync client : "connection was lost. Reconnecting.."
However the lync client doesn't connect again (while it should reconnect with limited functionality)
Before simulating (shutting down the service)

    SRV records
1 with priority 0  and value _sipinternaltls._tcp.customer.com, which points to hostname pool1.customer.com
1 with priority 10  and value _sipinternaltls._tcp.customer.com, which points to hostname pool2.customer.com
I've upgraded the lync client to the latest build to be sure.
Anyone knows where to look? Settings seem to be correct.

I've left all defaults regarding failover.
    something to add :
    * the servers are installed in the domain a.prod.customer.com
    * the sip addresses of all users are @customer.com
    * the users can be situated in the domain a.prod.customer.com, b.prod.customer.com or c.prod.customer.com
I've just tested and when I start a Lync client, I can see both SRV records popping up, so discovery of these records seem to work correctly.
When I stop the frontend server of the pool the user is on however, I don't see any redirect in the logs.

  • USB Mouse / Keyboard doesn't work after resuming from hibernate

I am using a USB device that splits out to 2 PS2 ports, one for a mouse, one for a keyboard. It works great, but when I put my X61 into hibernate, the mouse and keyboard do not work when I resume from hibernate.
I installed all the relevant patches and power manager drivers from the driver downloads page, but my mouse still doesn't work.
Can someone point me to the correct download or shed some light on this?
    Thank you!

I have this same problem with this same device. It is a "composite USB device".
What I've notice is that the problem happens mostly with USB 1.1 ports. When the device is connected to a USB 2.0 port the problem doesn't happen always.
It depends on the computer though. I added a PCMCIA USB 2.0 adaptor to my laptop that has USB 1.1 only. And when I connect the USB-to-PS/2 cable to the USB 2.0 my mouse sometimes work after suspend/hibernate but sometimes doesn't.
However, on my other desktop computer, which has integrated USB 2.0 ports, this problem has never happened (I haven't tested it exhaustively though).
This is a Windows bug of course. Everything related to USB 1.1 support is buggy in Windows. One more example is the annoying (and possibly catastrophic) "Delayed write error" that appears when you use a external hard drive plugged to a USB 1.1 port.
I guess M$ is focusing their efforts on making USB 2.0 to work well and they have forgotten about USB 1.1. Or it could a problem related to "USB composite devices", hard to know.

  • My iPhone 4 doesn't reconnect once it says 'No Sevice' and should I update my phone to iOS 6.1.2?

This has happened before, my iphone will not connect to any network once I go out places with wifi, so I went to the Apple Store and they gave me a new one.
Now I have had this one since June and it started not reconnecting to any network and I have to switch on and off the airplane mode in order to get the network back. Do people in Apple Store know how to fix this or is there actually any way to fix it?
I am using 3 so I don't know if they could be the problem.
Also, will updating it to iOS 6.1.2 help with this problem? However, I have seen a lot of posts saying their battery die really quickly after updating it , so I don't know if I should update it. My phone is not insuranced anymore so I don't want to risk.

  • Mac Mini doesn't reconnect to wifi router

I have 2 mac minis - a mark I running Tiger, and a newer dual-core running Snow Leopard. They connect to my network wirelessly through the airport. I usually switch my Netgear router off at night for security, but when I switch it back on, the Tiger mini will reconnect to the network OK, however the SnowLeopard mini will not, and requires a reboot.
This strikes me as a bit odd. Is there something I can do to encourage my newer mini to reconnect automatically? I have it set up to "ask to join new networks and to connect to known networks", but it's clearly not doing this.

Have you tried just turning the AirPort off and on rather than going for a full reboot? I know that isn't exactly the solution you were after but it's a lot faster if it works.
On this particular occasion I'd say you're too paranoid and that you can safely leave the router on to no ill effect although it wouldn't be a bad idea to change to WPA2 as all your equipment should be capable of it at a guess.

  • Satellite L300 PSLB8A doesn't reconnect to net after log off or shut down

My son has the L300 which connects to the net via wireless to the router in another room.
When he logs out or shuts down, the next time he starts up he loses connectivity.
I am been able to get him reconnected by logging into the router and reconfirming the setting but this is tedious and quite often does not work.
His laptop often shows that he is connected but slow. I cannot find any sensible solution to all this.
It is not a problem with the signal as I have placed the laptop right next to the router but still get the same problem.
Any clues help you can give will be greatly appreciated

    Hi
Did you try a new Wlan driver?
You should definitely update the driver
I have no idea what WLan card you have but this Toshiba WLan driver page provides all possible WLan drivers for Atheros and Intel cards
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
You can also try to update the BIOS is one is available
Just one hint: my notebook has Atheros WLan card and Im using the Atheros WLan configuration tool in order to establish the connection
It connects my notebook automatically to Wlan

  • SQL Dev 1.1 doesn't reconnect when DB connection is lost

Sometimes I lose a DB connection when my VPN goes down, the DB instance is restarted, etc. In SQL Developer 1.0, I got some "connection reset" and other errors, but after running my query (F9) a couple more times in the same SQL Worksheet, it automatically reconnected. In 1.1 it just tells me "closed connection" every time. I have to go back to the "Connections" tab, right-click the particular DB, disconnect, and connect again. I don't see an option that might control this behavior. Any thoughts?

Kris, I'm very sorry to report you the reconnect option does not work.
The code is called, since the status bar does say "Reconnected.", but both the navigator tree and opened windows continue giving "connection closed" errors (vendor code 17008).
Upon invoking the navigator's context menu on the connection node, a logical exception is thrown, but including it anyway just in case:

  • Wireless connection drops and doesn't reconnect (netcfg, wpa_actiond)

    I use netcfg 2.5.4-1 and wpa_actiond 1.1-1, B43 driver (BCM4318 wireless card) with firmware.
    $ uname -a
    Linux vekta 2.6.32-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Mar 15 20:08:25 UTC 2010 i686 Mobile AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3100+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
Connecting works fine. I can connect using sudo netcfg <profile>, or it automatically connects me on startup.
However, after a few minutes (up to 15 at best, usually 3-5) the connection is dropped. dmesg prints:
"No probe response from AP <macaddress> after 500ms, disconnecting."
However, netcfg isn't notified of this event, and still thinks the profile is connected. So I have to use netcfg -r <profile> to reconnect. Isn't netcfg supposed to notice this connection drop and try to reconnect again automatically?
Also, is there any way to increase the 500ms threshold mentioned in the log? I don't think I ever had this problem when I first installed arch in november/december last year.
    Thank you.

  • DMVPN doesn't reconnect after reload

I have a (currently) 3 location fully meshed DMVPN.  This will eventually be a 12 location DMVPN.  The problem I'm having is if I reload the Hub router, the spoke tunnels never reconnect automatically.  The only way I have found to make them reconnect is by connecting to the spoke routers via the CCP and under "Interface and Connections" and disabling then enabling the DMVPN Tunnel0, at which point the DMVPN's immediatley come back up.  Obviously this required manual intervention is less than ideal.  Is there a config setting I am missing that will fix this?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
There is a know issue with GETVPN that's fixed in 12.4(15)T10:
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsv29424
This causes the router to not register with the KS after a reload. However, it's specific to a GETVPN configuration, which 12.4 mainline code does not support. I would suggest you open a TAC case to have it investigated.
