Consequences of adding and smartform to output type in nace

Dear experts,
I have one doubt . I want to link one smart form to output type EF ie purchase order. When I am saving it system is asking for customizing requests. I am doing this in development system to check the functionality of one smartform. Because we dont have any IDES System to test. Well I want to what are the consequences of adding an smartform to output type in nace. Whether it wil reflect in quality system without transporting the request. After testing can i remove that smartform which is attached to output type EF. Please confirm.

NACE is used to create output type while creating the output type you will mention forms, and driver program.
that will be maintained in the table TNAPR.if you create the output type using NACE then it will be automatically visible in table NAST and TNAPR.
so check in NAST, TNAPR table

Output types are represent how you want to output information. In SAP Script context it links the print program with SAP script. Output types are part of Output determination procedure which is linked to the application (e.g. Purchsing). Output types are also linked to Access sequence, which allows you to create condition records so that output types can be processed automatically.

By using NACE transaction we will assign Sap script and driver program to O/P type in an aplication for different mediums (like print/fax , mail) .
Example :
NACE--> Application EA --> means for PO > check O/P "NEU" (SAP standard)> Medium "Print" --> You can find the Driver program and Sap script associated to it.
If you have your Own o/p, Script and program. Then you will assign the by using T/code NACE. Then this will appear when you want to print PO or other.
NACE transaction
In this transaction you can attached your Form ad your driver program .
As you know you have got a Form say ZForm
and a driver program say ZDriver.
In NACE you assign an output type say ZOUT in which you attached these two so that you can identify which form is attached to which layout (Very important steps).

say in the transaction say IW32 , if you want to hava a preview of ur output , then it will ask for ur output type . then u can select ur output type ZOUT which u had created in NACE transaction and then u will be able to view ur layout preview.

Print quantity output type in NACE

Hi all,
we have created a new output type in NACE for the shipping notification (application V2).
Where can I configure the standard print quantity when using the output type?
We want to print out the document twice every time it is triggered.

Hi Anne,
Whenever we trigger a smartform, we normally get a pop-up window where we mention various printing options (no. of copies, device name etc...) But these options can be programmed in our driver program as well and also we can suppress this pop-up window. These printing options are part of a structure which you can find using F1 help on the pop-up window.
Now coming to your query, you can provide the number of copies you want in your program by populating the appropriate field of the structure and also by suppressing the pop-up window. So, after that each time when we print your smartform you will get the desired number of copies.

Smartforms PO - output type external send - for purchase order

Dear
I want to define a specific output type for example ZPOM, with medium 'External Send'. The communication Strategy is SMTP (MAIL).
The configuration of the Processing Routine is the following:
Program: - FM06P
Form Routine: ENTRY_MEU
SMARTFORM: Z_MM_PURCHASEORDER.
When we create this mesage in the PO, no mail is send. There is also no processing log available.
Is it possible to use the same smartform with print program that is used for Medium 'Print Output' for medium 'External Send'?

What you need to do is to create in SPAD Output device for E-mail ( in the Host Spool Access Method define M:E-Mail to Receiver/Owner) and then in the 'Print Output' assign this device.

Smartform for output type CHKL (count list ) as Inbound Delivery(E1)

At this moment, I know the Sapscript form RT_CHECK_LIST & program RTCHECKL for count list (output type CHKL) as inbound delivery (E1), but I need the PROGRAM and SMARTFORM for this output?!

I don't think we have a similar print program and smartform available, if you want to use it in Smartfrom.. copy SAPscript and migrate to smartform using SF_migrate and copy the print program of SAPscript and make necessary changes.

Printing issue in smartform with output type

Hi ,
I am facing issue while I am taking print from zebra printer.
I am trying to take a print from MB90 but its not coming but its giving status 'processed' and same from the spool, in spool its showing status complete but not giving any printout.
if I m attaching my smartform with another output type which already working for another label(smartform), then its giving print.
So, what I want to know..
Its can be a problem with output type config or from basis side.
Please help.

well i have seen setting are correct but having one issue it doesnt trigger automatically I do it manually from MB90 and rest of the things are correct becaoz i have seen while debug its going correct form from driver program, when i am runniing from MB90 manually .

Assigning SMARTFORMS to output types in SPRO

Hi,
I have created a test smartform and smartstyle, generated a function module, and temporarily put some code in a custom "test" program to ensure it is working, and it does (note calling the compiled version of the smartform function module name, by getting it's name from SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME) and all executes correctly.
Could anyone tell me however how I assign the smartform to execute from standard SAP via output type configuration in SPRO in SD as an example. Do we still need to specify a print program name and form routine to execute in configuration, just like SAPscript works ? I notice there is a field available for a smartform name, but then how would "whatever standard SAP is calling the smartform" know what parameters to pass into my generated function module for the smartform ? Also, does this have anything to do with the field "layout module" which is directly above the smartform field ?
Here's what I have tried: I entered the custom Z test program I created, entered the form routine name of this program which simply calls directly the function module for the smartform. (Now the smartform field in configuration is redundant) The standard SAP SAPscript print option window appears when I execute my SD transaction, and then the output option window appears which comes standard with the smartform function module call. As the smartform field in configuration is redundant going this method, I think I am going completely on the wrong route. Can someone help ?

Yes we already have this, and it works with the following issue:-
1) The default output controller window for print options which normally appears for SAPscript pops up.
2) The default output controller window for print options which normally appears for SMARTFORM output (looks slightly different to window in 1) appears also.
IMPORTANT: If I take out the name of the SMARTFORM in the "Smartform text box" it makes no difference and still works as above. This is because my driver/print program and subroutine is calling the function module to call the smartform, so it already knows which smartform to execute.
It is like the standard SD configuration is thinking my print program is for a SAPscript which is why I get both 1 and 2 above. Note: the SMARTFORM does output.

Navdeep, the notification is not an external document.. so you cannot do that.. moreover you are sending it as an IDOC and not through any regular transmission medium, so it ain't possible. Try looking at it from a recievr's point of view

Any smartform for Output type FUSI for billing

Can any one suggest me smartform for FUSI standard form.
In se71, the form is SD_Export_FUSI.
My requirement is to design layout according to client requirement.

Creation of Output type using NACE/NACT

I need to create a Output type for Purchase Order. I need the stepwise procedure for the same.

Goto NACE TCode
Selct the Application EF. Click on button output types .
then go chnage mode New Entries , You can Create You OutPut type.
You need other Details like Access Sequence etc has to be filled .

NACE and Smartforms

Hi All,
I have a requirement to configure a smartforms in output type using NACE tcode. The requirement is to generate a fax (smartform) based on an output type for shipments.
I tried different combinations in the output type, but cant get it to work - how do you set up the processing routine part of NACE?
What should be the values in
Layout Module = ?
SmartForm = Name of the smartform
Processing 1 -> Program = Program name of the driver program
Processing 1 -> Form routine = 'ENTRY' (since I have called the smart form function module within the 'ENTRY' subroutine).
Please help me.

Hi Jay,
Normally, the Layout Module should be blank for most of my config in NACE as for smartforms. The following is one of the example of how I input the values:
Layout module: Blank
Smartform: Smartform name
Program: Print Program name (Driver Program Name)
Form routine: ENTRY_NEU
Form: MEDRUCK

IMG settings after creating new output type for a purchase order smartform

Hi all,
Do I need to make changes in IMG after creating a new output type in NACE for a purchase order smartform?
I have customized a purchase order smartform according to the requirements and copied an existing output type and assigned the custom form name.
When I am trying to create a purchase order to test it, I am going to the message tab for assigning the output type and if I press F4 on the output type field or if I give the copied output type there, it says output type is not defined.
Do I need to make any changes in SPRO?

Yes. You have to add the new output type to the proper message determination schema.
Go to the IMG and select Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Messages -> Output control -> Message determination schemas -> Define message schema for purchase order -> Maintain Message Determination Schema: Purchase Order.
Select the proper schema, then Control Data and insert your new output type into the schema (eventually with any requirement that may be necessary... you probably want to use 101 like in case of the regular NEU message).
This should do it.

The Tcode NACE is used to link the Standard SAP forms (SCRIPTFORM or SMARTFORM) or the customized form or the new form to its respective print programs. Also the output types, Form entry are linked with their forms and print programs. In short term, i can tell u that configuration or customization of forms to print programs, assigning output types, form entry to the forms are done using this Tcode.

Please give me complete step by step process of output type cretion and configuration of a smartform.
I have the idea that it is created from NACE. But when I am creating the same..I am coming accross tabs like General DATA,Default Values,Time, etc. I want to know the exact meanings of each .
And what to be filled in each case.

Instead of creating a new one, you can copy the existing standard output type and then configure the smartform.
To copy the existing output type...Just select the application and then choose output types button. Now, just enter the change mode...then select one output type and click copy button... Keep the values as it is,change the name and save it.
