Consider subcontracting stock in MRP

Hello experts,
Does anybody know what customizing is necesary for a material to consider the subcontracting stock in MRP??
For that material, in in MRP3 view, I have assigned a checking rule for availavility check that has the flag w/o subcontracting unmarked, but it seems that it is not enought.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks !
Laura

Dear Laura,
Sub-contracting stock is a special stock and it will not be considered during MRP run.
You can define a MRP area for the sub-contractor and try to run MRP for that area alone.

  • Ways to consider the stocks provided to vendor on the MRP output

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where the business want the stocks provided to vendor to be considered when running the MRP in plant.
This is a subcontracting vendor and when checking the MD04, the stocks was displayed as special stocks. Is there any way that we can consider subcrontract stocks for MRP?
I have checked already the MRP areas, but I since we have a lot of existing plants in our system. I intend to not use the MRP area as it might cause issues to planning in our existing plants. Is there any other way?
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

    Hi Elen,
I believe by having BAdI- MD_SUBCONT_LOGIC implemented in your system, you can consider Subcontracting Stock in MRP.
Check with technical team to do the needful coding.
    Hope it will help.

  • Subcontractor stock in MRP

    Dear gurus,
    We use subcontracting procedure.
We send semifinished product to sucontractor and get FG. *The subcontractor (vendor) is a plant having different company code.
we dont send semifinished product wrt purchse order but we send bulk quantity of semi finished material at a time.
While running MRP system does not consider subcontracter stock and create planned orders for semi finished products.
I tried this by using MRP area but system is NOT allowing me to use SPK 45 as the vendor is a differnt plant.
So please help me to map this scenario.
    Thanks

    Dear,
In MRP system never consider subcontracting stock as  its comes under special stock type O.
If you want then you need to create MRP area  as vendor subcontracting area then it will work for you.
For Suncontracting with vendor you can use special procurement key 45 i.e. stock transfer from Plant to MRP area in MRP area segment. This SP key is used to provide components to the suncontractor i.e. vendor.
For the assembly that you getting from vendor, you can maintain SP key 30 i.e. Subcontracting.

  • How to make open sales order consider allocated & unallocated stocks in MRP

    Dear Experts,
MAT BOM, MAT TYPE, STRATEGY GROUP, PLANNING STRATEGY, Req-DM Req-CU
    3. TC180TK   fert                     20                                    KE                        make-to-order
    2. TB300TK   halb                    20                                    KE                        make-to-order
    1. TA300TK   roh                     10                                   LSF KSL                make-to-stock
As listed above, material in line number 1 is required to produce 2,  and
2 is required to produce 3.
I have open open sales order for material TF180TK(fert).
When I carry out MRP run, stocks of material  TB300TK (halb), that is allocated to this sales order is considered, but unallocated stocks are not considered.
I want the system to consider both stocks, allocated & unallocated stocks.
What settings do I need to effect, to make the System consider available stocks of  material  TB300TK , that is not allocated to this sales order during MRP run using MD01?

    Dear
For MTO scinario , any depedent will be either having Account assingement PR or it will pick up the speciall stock (E) based on the Individaul and Cllective Indicator as 1  in MRP4 view .It will never getting reservaed from un-allocated stock ( i beieve u r talking abou Un-restrited stcok ) .This is a standrad behaviour of the MTO cycle in SAP system .
As you have mentioned , that you are using planning startegy 20 -MTO and also you want depdents (SFG and Compoenets in SFG) to be from un-allocated stock .In that case you should not use Planning strategy 20 and also assing Indviaul and Collective Indicator as 2 or blank .It will be purely MTS and you can have sales order with item categoery TAN .
So please  keep Ind/Collective indicator as 2 in MRP4 and try
    Hope this helps

  • To run MRP without considering unrestricted stock

    Hi,
Is it possible to run MRP without considering unrestricted stock of the material?
    Best Regards,
    Sitaraman

    Dear All,
Thanks a lot for your response to this thread.
In fact i tried the option of providing value 1 to exclude the storage location stock from the MRP. But it did not fulfil my requirement.
    My requirement is as below:
The business wants to create the material requirement by manual reservations.
Also for this MRP run except this manual reservations all other issue elements, receipt elements and stocks should not get considered.
With checking group configuration i am able to exclude all other issue, receipt and stock elements. But in this settings there is no option to exclude the unrestricted stock.
What happened when i tried giving 1 in MRP 4 view to exclude the storage location stock, the system not only excludes the stock but also it excludes the storage location from MRP run. Meaning...
    Plant   XXXX
    SLOC YYYY
SLOC - YYYY current stock: 100
Manual reservation created (requirement) for SLOC -YYYY : 50
The expectation out of MRP run is, to create procurement proposals for 50 numbers with out considering SLOC - YYYY stock of 100 and not to exclude the SLOC YYYY itself.
    Best Regards,

  • MRP Not considering Safety stock

    Hello
We have settings as 1000 for safety stock . if the stock went below 1000 , MRP is not pulling the stock for the confirmation of the Production order. we checked the safety stock indicator in the Availability check for the Prod order confirmation . What ever the stock are available ( only unrestricted stock we want to consider for the availability check )
    Any suggestion please.
    Thanks
    JJ

    Hi,
When your stock level goes below the Safety stock, then MRP will trigger a planned order to maintain the planned order. In your availability scope of check, if you checked the safety stock, the system will allow to consume the safety stock by posting the goods issue, if the tick is not there, it will not post the goods issue, saying insufficient stock is there.

  • Block subcontracting stock

    hello,
we would like to blocked a part of our subcontracting stock in order
    that the MRP will not consider it;
The movement code 344 for special stock "O" is not manage.
How can we blocked SC stock ?
    best regards
    delphine

    Hi,
for different reasons, the subcontractor can not use a part of material we've sent to him. A quality inspection is needed to decide if these materials can be used or scrapped.
During the inspection time, we would like to blocked a part of SC stock in order that the MRP generate new "Subcontractor requirements of material provided" .
If we transfer a part of the SC stock to the SC quality stock, the available quantity for the MRP element "MatSub" include the quality stock.
Even if we've managed an Availability check without the quality inspection stock (with checking rule "PP").
thanks anyway for the information regarding the 'subsequent adjustment' . I didn't know this operation, and it can be usefull for us.
    regards
    delphine

  • Open Purchase Orders not considered as requirement for MRP Run

    Hi ,
We are facing a issue of Open Purchase orders not appeared in Stock requirements list and also it is not considered as requirement for MRP Run against reservation.
As aresult for a reservation demand of 10 units we are ending with Open POs 10 units and a additional planned order 10 units.
    Material Type : ERSA
MRP Type : PD (or VB)
Lot size : EX (  HB if MRP Type is VB)
Could you please throw some light to correct our settings to MRP to consider Open POs?
    Saravanan

Can you check to see if there is a re-order point set up for this materia? That could be causing the problem too.

  • MTO Strategy consider the stock in hand

    Dear Experts,
AM new in MRP Field, pls advise me about pure MTO Strategy which consider stock in hand. MRP run should consider the available stock for net requirement calculation. I tried with strategy 20,but it is not consider the stock.Pls advise,
    Regards,
    Vijesh

    Vijesh,
MTO by definition will only consider Sales order stock.  This is the main planning difference between MTO and MTS.  Thus, if you have generic stock on hand (not sales order specific) it is supposed to be  excluded from MRP planning.
If you wish for MTO planning to consider generic stock, you have to first convert the stock to Sales Order specific stock (Special stock type 'E') using a Material Movement transaction.  Or, you can stop using MTO and use an MTS strategy, such as 40.
For more info about MTO planning see http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/EN/f4/7d2ed844af11d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm

  • Need to include Warehouse stock into MRP

    Hi Gurus,
We have an issue to include warehouse stock into MRP.
This is because We have stock in warehouse to cover the demand but the MRP creates line against the VSF.
Please help me to resolve this.
Is there any customizing chnages there for including the warehouse stock.
    Thanks in advance.
    Naveen.

    Dear Naveen,
    1) Normally we call un-restricted use stock as ware house stock.
    2) you can check the same in MMBE
    3) this stock is default considered by MRP in Net Req Calculation & Create Procurement Praposals
    4) Coming to Block stock, if u want MRP to consider this stock then
    5) Then Just Mark as Tick for Blocked stock in OPPQ & save
    6) Then Run MRP system Consider block stock also in Net Req Calculation

  • Stock in MD04 is also considering Blocked stock with Unrestricted Use

    Hi PP Gurus,
In MD04, the stock which the system is showing also considers Blocked Stock for Planning means stock= Unrestricted Use Stock + Blocked Stock.
We Dont want blocked stcok to be considered.
We are using 01 availabilty check with PP checking rule.
In OPPJ, the check box for Stock-Include Safety Stock is only Checked.
Can anyone Please explain why the system is considering blocked stock for Planning???
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Rakesh Wade

    Hi,
Pls check in OPPQ - Available stock tab - Blocked stock would have been activated and hence the system is considering the Blocked stock also.
This indicator when activated causes blocked stock to be included in the MRP calculation.
The indicator you enable in OPPJ will come into effect only when you carry out an avilability check.
    Regards,
    Sheik
