Considering to buy a white or black iPad Air 128 gb

...which one should I pick? I'd normally just buy the black, as I know it's less prone to color distortion, but are the white iPads prone to color distortion now? I remember iPad 2 white colored being prone to it.

I've had white iDevices in the past and still see no color distortion after two years. In the end, only you can make the decision.

    I tried to recreate your occurrence, could not recreate it.
    The Air monitor feed cable is on the RIGHT side, so its extremely unlikely (near impossible) it could be EMI or RFI
    There should no logical reasoning behind same.
    However the IO board is on that side, but the Ipad mini even with a tri-field meter puts out next to nothing

    Also they mention I can't return this because other function are work in order.
    In my opinion this is too big reserve. Either the system reserve (iOS and pre install app ) nor the some of HDD chip are damage. Sorry if my English not good enough.

    Will iPad 64gb WiFi+Cellurar from the USA work in the Russia?

    A GSM model should, but there are other considerations. The warranty is good only in the US so if anything goes wrong, you would need to physically get it there to an Apple Store or retailer for service or replacement under warranty.

    it seems too blueish...I only see the brighteness under the settings.

    thanks for your repy, bu not really, I calibrate all my displays, but I'm suprised there seems to be no way to calibrate the ipad so my photos if used for a iPad portfolio would look right. Color calibration should be available to  ipads as well.

    After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
    If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
    If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.

  • HT1766 Is anyone having crashes on IPad Air 128 gb?

    My ipad is crashing multiple times throughout the day.  There is no rhyme or reason (I.e. App, process, etc.).  I see the apple in middle and f then black screen unable to do anything for a while.

    So here's an update:
    1) I went to the Apple Store to have my iPad Air looked at because the "Genius" was certain I didn't follow all of the necessary steps to resolve the issue... and it couldn't possibly be a hardware failure [sarcasm intended] "Not if it starts back up", a direct quote. So upon arrival, I explained what was happening, repeated what steps I took to resolve any software-related issues, and presented them with 2 pages of crash logs.
    2) Next, I was told they would be happy to replace my iPad, but unfortunately, they didn't have a 128GB version in stock. (Even though their own website showed the model as available AND I was told my iPad replacement would not be a refurbished model.) Then I was given the choice of having my replacement sent directly to the store (resulting in another Genius Bar appt. and return trip) or cancel today's service ticket and call Apple Care for an immediate replacement. I chose Option B.
    3) So I returned home and called Apple Care and had to re-explain the entire incident because the operator didn't have access to the original support ticket. Finally I was told they did not offer "express return" in my area (even though the Apple Store is only 20 minutes away – strange) and the only way they would send a replacement would be if I sent my iPad in first. I would then receive a return label in about 2 days, take another 2-3 days for them to receive and verify my return, followed by another 2 days to receive my replacement. What part of "I use this every day and can't afford to wait a week for a replacement" was unclear. So after reiterating my point, I was told it would be faster to return to the Apple Store and have them order a replacement so I could continue using my "crashing" iPad until a "new" one was received. Yes, that meant yet another trip to the Apple Store.
    4) Now, after making another appt. and returning to the Apple Store a 3rd time, guess what? They have to start all over. All this technology and nobody seems to know how to access and reactivate a previous support ticket. "So let me explain what's going on... again!" Finally I leave with my old iPad and I'm told my replacement should be available in 2-3 days (again, brand new ones sitting in stock) but I will need to make another Genius Bar appointment to pick up my replacement.
    5) Finally, today I get called, the replacement iPad is in and guess what? It is indeed a refurbished model as apparent by the condition of the body. Unbelievable.
      So, in conclusion, I spent $800 for a brand-new iPad Air (kept in perfect condition), and 4 months into its 1-year warranty it up and dies and I get this kind of run-around from Apple? I’ve easily spent over 10K on Apple products in the past few years alone and this is how they treat a loyal customer? I’m sorry, but for a product under warranty and clearly not abused, they should have pulled a new one from stock and sent me on my way.

    It worked fine for a few days and suddently crashes every 10 minutes.
    Then it asked me to plug it to iTunes.
    Downloaded IOS 7.0.4 and the device was reset.
    After the reset - the same thing happens.
    It still crashes very often.
    I can't use it at all!

    Are you using the default settings applied for Background Auto Refresh ?
    Is it enabled ?
    Try adjusting some settings
      especially related to Background Updating..
    Review your configuration settings in the Settings App.
    Settings ->General ->(scroll down) Background App Refresh
      Try disabling particular apps from performing background refreshes.
        Even better, completely turn off Background App Refresh.
    Also, consider minimizing iCloud Activity.  Settings ->iCloud.
      Selectively enable certain iCloud Activity,
        then later disable it after iCloud synchronization has occurred
          (for example: Photos, Safari Favorites, Contacts, and Keychain items)
            Mail and Find My iPad are the only I leave enabled all the time..
    Also check if you have iCloud Backup enabled..
      Settings ->iCloud ->Storage ->Backup
        you might want to disable that too
          (turn it on once in a while but maybe you don't want it running all the time..)

    WE have both a white and black iPad and iPhones .
    White and black are both the same hardware, unless you get a bigger hard drive .
    Its a personal preference...
    I prefer the black because I find it let's me focus on the screen better, the white seems to stand out and is distracting and I think it looks kind of cheap.
    My wife prefers the white though, she likes to see its clean and she thinks it looks more high end.

    I have been told that Black Friday Doorbusters will be available online,  It even states in the ad to SHOP ONLINE EARLY.  When you click on the ad it shows the iPad Air 2 SAVE $100 and right below it, 2 WAYS TO SHOP, with the first option being ALL DAY ONLINE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.
    I just saw a question asked on a Best Buy forum saying that the iPad Air 2 may only be a Doorbuster available at the brick-and-mortar stores.  
    Can you clarify if the iPad Air 2 will or won't be available on Thanksgiving ONLINE with the $100 off?  If it will be available ONLINE, will it be at 12:00 EST or CST?  Everyone wants to know.  This should be an easy one to answer.

    My new iPad Air crashes with low memory error every time I try to use my Phrasebook in Google Translate Web site. This is rather disapointing considering that my old Nexus 10, that iPad Air is supposed to replace, works flawlessly in Google Translate Web site.     No, there isn't. For commercial DVDs you'd need to get digital versions, a digital copy if your DVD came with that promotion or buy buying them from the iTunes Store or other compatible download store. Home movies can be converted with software such as the freeware Handbrake.
