Consistently being prompted to enter Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes

Hi, I have an iPhone 4 and an iPod touch 5th gen. I'm consistently being asked to prompted to enter my password for my Apple ID for either iTunes or iCloud. I never had this issues until I updates to iOS 7.0.2 on my iPhone. I have a different apple id for the iCloud on my iPod and it doesn't prompt me for that one just for the apple id password of the one I use for iTunes and iCloud on my phone. Any insights?

This came up when I tried to enable Notes. This may be the solution to my problem. icloud / me won't work when you change from @yahoo to one of those domains. Specifically it tells you no to use a Apple owned domain so I don't know.

My wife and I each have a new iPhone 5S. We share the same Apple ID for iTunes and the App Store.
In addition, we each have our own unique Apple IDs for iCloud. This enables us to use iMessage to text to each other.
Can the iPhone 5S be setup to use the Touch ID for iTunes and App store purchases when there are separate iCloud and iTunes ID on the same phone?
Currently, I can unlock my phone using the Touch ID, but the App store requests me to type the password to my wife's and my shared Apple ID whenever I wish to buy an app. I am not given the option to use the Touch ID.
I do have both the iPhone Unlock and iTunes & App Store set to "on" here: Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode > Touch ID
How can I use my current setup so I can approve App Store purchases with the Touch ID?

After down loading the latest upgrade on my 5s, the iCloud Apple ID (which is an email address I don't use) keeps asking me for a password that I don't have. When I change it to a new password (I've done it 4 times) it keeps going back to the password is incorrect. I've tried to restore the phone to factory settings and that still doesn't work. I have no problem with my Itunes ID or password so I don't know how to change the iCloud ID or password so it can be the same ID and password for iTunes. Can someone help me bc I'm about to go crazy!

I'm not entirely clear about which Apple ID you are describing. Is this the ID for Settings/iCloud? You say it isn't an email you use. But was it an email you ever used? Or is it one you don't recognize? If you used it in the past you can reset your Apple ID to it temporarily (https://appleid.apple.com), log out, then log back in with the new one. If you forgot the password you can attempt to find it at https://iforgot.apple.com. As a fallback you can contact Apple Account Security at Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support.

I would like to use 1 Apple ID instead of 2. I know that Apple ID's cannot be merged.
My original solution was to change my Apple ID, which is a Yahoo address to an iCloud address. However, you cannot do this since it is an Apple domain. So what I have done is put all I could on the Yahoo one. The only thing is I still need iCloud to do Notes.
Why does Apple appear to use 1 username to setup your whole Mac or iOS device, but then you are required to have always two to get all functionality. Of course there is nothing saying you need to, but I don't see a way around this.

Sir, your Apple ID can be used as an iCloud account as well. They are both the same thing.

Settings > Store > Sign Out.
Sign in with the correct ID.

No, perfectly normal to have a separate iTunes account for music/app purchases to the one you use for iCloud syncing of contacts, notes, etc.

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Myself and my brother have been sharing the same apple id for all the itunes purchases. We both have iphone 4. Since the introduction of icloud, we are little confused about the id managing process. Yesterday, we both updated our iOS to iOS 5. And, just after installing iOS 5, we were asked to enter apple id and password. We both entered the same id and password. Now both are iphones have overlapping contacts and other stuff.
Now, we have deciced that we want to make separate apple id's for ourselves i.e we want different apple id's for our iclouds (plus game center) and same apple id's for all our itunes purchases (if we are allowed to do that).
So now we have no idea how to do this after once entering the same id during iOS 5 installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're wanting to share content between multiple apple ids in the family I would suggest to use iTunes match.

What is the best setup for us to maintain ownership of our corp issued iPhones and iPads yet allow users their personal apps from their iTunes accounts? I have gone out and created a corp apple ID that we are using in the iCloud setup on all our corp owned devices. This keeps the end user from using their apple ID in iCloud and hence when employee's are unexpectedly discharged we still maintain ownership and don't have to ask them for their Apple ID & password when resetting the devices. It also does not allow them to do backups to the cloud or locally either way. We are very careful to turn EVERY thing off inside the iCloud set up area. Even turning off iMessage and share my location. We do keep the find my iphone or ipad on however. So how can I lock these settings to keep users from changing them? Or is there a better way to manage corp devices without having to buy into anything to manage them, we are a non profit.

That would be the proper thread to post, cause obviously just cause you setup the way above it will not stop users from turning off or on iCloud features like contact and then problems with entering incorrect passwords. You can also try restrictions to account changes, but that is not guaranteed to work either.
Guys on that thread may be able to point to different professional solutions, but those are unlikely to be free.

I used to use an old e-mail address as my apple id and I changed it ages ago and everything seemed fine but since I've updated to the new software it's showing my old e-mail as the apple id for iCloud and now I can't log in. Can someone please help?!

I've tried to go into manage my account it only has my current e-mail address and I can't click forgot password for the old apple id because that e-mail is no longer active.

Do a backup.
Try System Preferences/iCloud and sign out. Then sign in with your new Apple ID.

Apple ID for icloud and restrictions of use?

I have an IPAD registered under Apple ID NO.1 and I wish to buy the new IPHONE 5 for my wife which will be set under a new Apple ID NO. 2.
I want to send all pictures and videos from the new IPHONE 5 via cloud to the IPAD (and vice versa) who is under Apple ID 1. Is this possible?
Alternatively if it is not possible, can I set the same Apple ID for my wife (although it is my personal email address) and still have her email address set as the only one used for her IPHONE?

In this situatuin the best option would be to set up a shared Photostream between the two devices.
This way you can share the photos you want. Unfortunately you can't seamlessly share videos in the same fashion. You might want to email them to each other, or iMessage them. It can get complicated to share Apple id's (IMO)...

Family Sharing won't work because I have two separate accounts for iCloud and iTunes

I have two Apple accounts, one that is connected to my iTunes Store purchases, and another for iCloud. I had to do this for reasons related to transitioning from the old MobileMe service to iCloud a few years ago.
So now with Family Sharing, if I use my iTunes account, I can't share calendars or other iCloud type information, and if I use my iCloud account I can't share my music and app purchases.
Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Can I combine everything into a single account somehow?

Under "Setting up Family Sharing" here: https://developer.apple.com/icloud/documentation/family-sharing/ it says:
"You can accept a Family Sharing invitation from any compatible iOS device or Mac where you are signed into iCloud. Or, if the organizer is nearby, they can simply ask you to enter your iCloud Apple ID and password during the setup process. To complete setup, you will also confirm the Apple ID you use for the iTunes, iBooks, and App Stores so you can share your purchases with family members."
This suggests that you can specify a different ID for the iTunes store if you aren't using your iCloud ID for purchasing.

I cannot press one button without a pop up for me to enter my password to sign into iCloud yet it has my old apple id and when i go to sign into iCloud under the settings, it does not give me an option to enter my new apple id. My old on is grayed and unselectable. I have signed out and signed in with my new id under the app store settings and restarted the ipad but it is still having the same problem. HELP PLEASE!! I cannot use my ipad for work until this is settled!

I think I figured it out. I had to Delete the old account with the new password under the iCloud settings and sign back in with the new id and new password. Hope this helps someone else too.
