Console Launcher No support Audio Device Available

Note: Creative SB X-fi is detected (without a yellow mark) in my device manger. My card is an X-fi Titanium Fatalty Professional.
The easiest way I can put this is by explaining the mistake I made. Without installing the card, I moved it from one PCI-e slot to another, the one below it. This caused a small annoying issue that I decided to fix by totally uninstalling the card (correctly I hope) and putting it back in it's original slot. After reinstalling it via the disk it came with, when the computer restarts afterwards I am told that no supported hardware is detected and most of what seems to have installed correctly doesn't even show in my programs.
I have tried uninstalling and driver sweeper for HOURS straight over and over and so far nothing is working. Has anyone had a similar issue or know what the problem is? I've already made sure I'm using the same settings I originally used before moving slots but no dice.
P.S. During SOME of the updates or even installations, I? occasionally receive the error I-00 (usually during Alchemy or Creative Control Console installations or Updates) and I am told the installation can't continue. It does though, simply bypassing these things/
I am using Windows 7 64bit

Update: I'm facing a new issue now during installation! -EVERY- time the install wizard finishes and I restart the computer, I see the volume panel icon on the task bar and Creative SB X-fi when I hover over it. However, when I double click to open the console launcher (Which installed correctly to my knowledge) I'm told no supported audio device is available.
Did I break my card or something after what I did earlier? Or is my disk screwed up now too? I'd really rather not use the motherboard's crappy audio, I can actually tell that the audio quality is lower.

Win7, Creative board is: sound blaster X-FI Extreme Gamer.
Creative Consule shows the subject message whenever i try to open it. The creative player would show the same message but i re-installed it and it works fine.
Trying re-install the driver gives the old "device not found" message. In device manager there are no problem devices found. It shows the creative card and 2 High definition audio devices as "Working".
These are the driver/programs I am presently running:

For recording I have Digital-In Creative SB-XFI as the default.
The music/videos plays just fine using any player that i have.
Problem is: No supported audio device available. How do i correct this and have a working console?

I've just received my Sb E5, and installed the software package (while the E5 was connected and charging) without "apparent" problems. If I disconnect, the software's volume indicator will max, and then if I reconnect USB the volume will return to ~15%.

Thanks for both the comments. I had looked all through the various BIOS settings, but hadn't gone into the OC area, because I'm not over-clocked. When my wife gets off her computer, I'll go into the BIOS and take a look at the Execute Disable Bit setti...

  • XtremeMusic and MediaSource 5 - NO supported audio device detected? HE

I have had my X-Fi xtrememusic card for over a year now. no problems with it so far. runs great. BUT i installed a new motherboard and new cpu, etc.
Now when I open mediasource player... and click on the SVM buttom or the AudioClean up button, the timescale, or cross fade buttons (essentially all of the buttons on the bottom) it gives me the Error: "This feature is not available because no supported Audio Device is detected."
Mind you, the sound works.. i can play back music, it works great. AND via the console I CAN enable the SVM and it DOES work... but it seems like the media source player doesn't "see" that i have the xtrememusic card?
I am running the latest and SAME drivers and applications (mediasource 5) as before. WinXP Pro service pack 3. THere are NO conflicts with any devices in device manager....
Can someone help? I tried reinstalled the application, and driver... still same issue. I really like the audio cleanup when i listen to my recorded lectures and it takes away the hiss...
    Help?

I noticed there was an?AuzenWDM .5 pack so I have tried that, but still the same problem none of the software will detect the audio device yet the driver installs fine.

  • Cant Log In - getty: dev/console: Operation not supported by device

Hello. My computer performance has dropped so I decided to run cron tasks and to rebuild the Launch Database. After doing this, I restarted my computer and all seemed well. I got to the login screen, clicked on my name, entered by credentials, and clicked login. I have my computer forced to use verbose mode for startup, shutdown, login, etc. So, at this point, the computer goes to the black verbose screen and I get a message that says:
getty: dev/console: Operation not supported by device
It hangs on that screen for about a minute and then returns back to the login screen. Same thing happens for all users, mine, the guest account, and the root account.
I tried safe boot. Of course that was all happening in verbose mode, and stuff was flying on the screen. I left the room for a minute, and when I came back, the computer was off, so I started again and still couldn't log in.
I reset PRAM and NVRAM to no avail.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would rather not have to archive and install because the space on my laptop is very limited and I might not have room for a complete archive and install.
    Thanks.

in my case I looked back at the system.log when things were good and out of the blue (no punintended), crashdump 'crashed' with a segmentation fault (signal 11). Then getty starting restarting and now this happens on every boot. I replaced crashdump from the install disk and the same thing happens. Bad data should not cause a Unix process to take a segmentation fault (if written correctly) since this is a bad instruction/memory reference. So I am skeptical if a reinstall will help.

  • AuzenWDM Pack 1.0 and "No supported audio device detected"

    Hi there,
I installed the AuzenWDM pack and have the driver working properly, however when it comes to using the rest of the software in the pack none of it works, I get the same similar error of "No supported audio device" or similar. Now I know this driver pack works because thats what I used before reinstalling windows recently.
    My specs are:
    Win 7 64bit
    AMD 4400+
    4Gb DDR
    A8N SLI Deluxe (nforce 4)
EDIT: It might help to tell you that i have an XFi Fatality (launch model with the front bay)
Any help with is would be appreciated?
    Thanks

  • Could not find supported audio device in AA3

okay so i know its not a good idea to use AA3 with Vista...but other people are doing it so why can't I? I've seen the topic posted before but the threads are pretty much dead and I still have no helpful info. I've scoured this thing with no affective solution. I've installed AA3 on several systems in the past and never had this much trouble--if any. This problem has gone on for over 2 months now!
Since I installed AA3 on my new computer all i can get and all i have ever gotten is the "AA could not find a supported audio device. Please check device settings" dialog--
press okay (or x) and Audition closes---never getting past the loading window --during "initalizing required components"
I have 3 audio devices/ with up to date drivers which all my other audio programs recognize (Audition 1.5, Sonor, Cubase + more) with no problem whatsoever--
    AA3
    Windows Vista SP1 64 bit
    Realtek HD Audio
+ Presonus FP10 digital firewire interface/preamp (kind of unrelated but aa3 still wont recognize it either apparently)
I have installed all updates including the 64-bit SP1 fix for AA3.
I've read the Realtek HD issue solutions and made sure my drivers are fine.
    IM DESPERATE----PLEASE!!!
I'm having a recording studio built right now & AA3 is my main DAW so this is rather dire.---All the other DAW's i've tried suck compared to AA3 (with the exception of stability). hehe AA3 is always crashing on me and yet i still prefer it over other DAW's.

I put the PreSonus StudiLive 16.4.2 plus Adobe Audition 3 setup instructions into a short write-up on my blog: Live Event Multitrack Audio Capture
Here is a photo showing how to set up the Firewire channels for input and output
    I hope this helps:

  • No audio devices available in late-2013 iMac

    Updated Mavericks to 10.9.1 yesterday.
Today there are no analog audio devices available for output.  Airplay devices work normally.
I have reset PRAM, disconnected all peripherals etc.  Have tried connecting audio devices to the 3.5mm output jack.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

This issue was resolved by re-installing 10.9 over 10.9.1.
Think I'll wait for 10.9.2 until I update again.

  • "No Audio Device Available" - Vi

My uncle bought the external sound blaster assuming it would work with windows vista, since it says this on the box... however as it turns out the disc doesnt carry the correct drivers... anyway, i've downloaded and installed these onto his laptop, and they all appear in mmsys.cpl with the heading "working properly" ... however, when I try to open creative smart recorder i'm told there is no audio device available, and the creative diagnostic says that hardware has not been detected, despite the fact that it is plugged into a USB port and the power light on the SB box is on. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to solve it's I've tried different combinations of inputs and had no luck and am running out of ideas. Also, when I play cassettes from the hi-fi, plugged into the line in on the sound blaster, then plug headphones into the phones jack, there is no output from that either. Any possible help that can be offered is much appreciated?thanks - dan

I've recently had the same trouble and still haven't solved it.
I have the "li've 24" usb soundblaster which worked fine on my previous computer running on Windows XP home. When I connected it to a new PC using Vista 32 bits it "created" all manner of problems, all of which I eventually resolved apart from the inability to use the smart recorder. It gives an error message that it can't find a device, which is obviously stupid as everything else works. I have tried running this part of the application in Windows XP compatibility mode but it makes no difference. I have virtually given up trying unless someone out there knows of a solution. As things are, it's a real nuisance not having this facility.

  • Smart Recorder - Audigy 2 ZS - Win 7 - "no audio device available"

LSmart Recorder - Audigy 2 ZS - Win 7 - "no audio device available"nI've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and a Creative Audigy 2 ZS. They've worked fine together, but I recently tried to install the programs that come on the CD and I can't get Smart Recorder to work.
It has a message saying "There is no audio device available on the system. The application will now close."? I checked my control panel and it definitely shows a my Audigy 2.
I found an old post that suggested using the CTZAPXX.EXE on the CD, but it didn't do anything. I watched the CPU go to 50% usage, but nothing happened for minutes. (http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/Speaker-settings/m-p/40229)
How can I fix this problem with Smart Recorder?
    Thanks,

Is it time to upgrade to X-Fi or another brand?

  • Trouble with Audio Console "Unable to find Audio device.

I have an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum and run XP Pro. Recently lost my install CD when moving back to school (crap...)
I was able to download and install the drivers for the card from creative. Windows Hardware manager says the device is working properly (more accurately the many devices associated with the sound card) and I know the device is functioning (at least in part) because I am able to play music through the digital optical out on the dri've bay panel.
At this point I am trying to install Audio Console.
I have downloaded and installed Audio Console from creative's website and then restarted my computer. Upon trying to launch the program the following message appears in a pop up:
"Unable to find Audio device. Please make sure that your audio device is enabled and installed with it's driver. This application will be closed."
I have checked 'Sounds and Audio Devices' in the control panel and it has "SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [B400]" for all selected audio devices.
What's the problem here? Has anyone encountered this problem before?
The Audigy 2 ZS Platinum is listed as compatible with the Audio Console software.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

  • Audio Console: Unable to find Audio device

I'm running Vista 32-bit with SP with an Audigy Gamer. I've been running the same drivers since March, but somewhere down the road Creative Audio Console refused to run anymore when it previously worked fine. I get the following error:? "Unable to find Audio device. Please make sure that your audio device is enabled and installed with it's driver. This application will be closed."? The sound card works perfectly otherwise, just unable to run the audio console.
So I uninstalled the drivers, and installed the latest release. Same thing. Audio console throws the same error. Any ideas? This is incredibly annoying.

    Sorry - right, Audigy then.
When you uninstalled and reinstalled - did you uninstall the Creative Audio Console? Some driver packages have it as separate program?in the Add/Remove programs list.
Did you happen to notice any other upgrades or new software since the Audio Console stopped loading for you? Like a windows update or anti-virus program update?
Oh, and there is a [url="http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=&subCatID=205&prodID=237 &prodName=Audigy%20Gamer&subCatName=Audigy&CatName =Sound+Blaster">new Audigy driver package for you to try[/url]... wouldn't hurt.

  • TS1574 no audio is working on imac and no audio device available to choose from

I am receiving no audio out of my IMac and no option to choosing the internal speakers device.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Originally thought is might have been a virus but down loaded software and no fix to solution.
    Thanks,

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
    1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article.
    2. If your model has an audio-out (headphone) port, and a red light is coming from it, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
    3. Boot in safe mode. You don't have to log in; just reboot as usual when the login screen appears.
    4. Reset the NVRAM.
    5. Reset the SMC.
    6. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
    7. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.

What???? Why do you suppose I didn't open that page? If I didn't open that page, how could I have quoted from it?
As I quoted in my previous post, as you quoted in your reply above, the drivers on that page are listed as "Tracker Pre". (Excuse me, but I don't know how I could have known that it was described as such on that page, if I had not even opened that page? Strange assumption on your part, if I may say so!)
In any case, I asked you (or anyone who knows) what that designation "Tracker Pre" means. (Pre Beta?) That certainly does not sound like a final version. Especially considering that the driver of 4/23/2007 is also still listed on that page, it really does not look like the driver of 2/1/2008 is "final", full (non-beta) driver.
So, why does the title of this thread describe the driver at the linked page as being "Final"?
    Please explain.
And please, do not make silly assumptions, that I did not visit a page, when it should be quite obvious that I had done just that. Thank you.
