Hello,
To confirm whether this issue is related to Visual Studio or your project, I would recommend you follow these tips below.
Clear all code and just place one line to output, then clean and rebuild your project, next debug it to see the result.
1. If it prints the same result, then I would recommend you check whether the project is set as startup project, you could right click on that project and then select "Set as StartUp project", and then debug it to test.
2. If it prints the right result for that line, maybe you could narrow down it to see whether your code always print the same result. If possible, you could share the code or even the project with us by removing all sensitive data.

  • Console not showing trace statement output

    Hello,
    I have set up Flash Builder 4.6 for the first time for an ActionScript project. All good so far except that the console window doesn't show the output from my simple trace statement for my first little Hello World tester? There wasn't a console window on the workspace so I added one but on Run it says
    No consoles to display at this time.
    What do I need to do?
    Any help much appreciated...
    Steve

    I don't see any attempt to assign text to any textfields in your code.  What code are you using that is not working? Where would you be trying to assign to these textfields in your code?  You need to create two textfields and give them instance names.  Then, in your code, you assign the x and y values to those textfeilds...
    tFieldX.text = String(mCoordPlane.mAlignment.x);
    tFieldY.text = String(mCoordPlane.mAlignment.y);
    I also don't see any code relative to checking the position of the mCoordPlane.mAlignment to show a message.  After that object changes position you should have a conditional to test if its x,y properties are 0,0, and then assign to a textfield for that message or make a moviewclip appear that has that message, or whatever your intention is for displaying a message.
    if(mCoordPlane.mAlignment.x == 0 && mCoordPlane.mAlignment.y == 0){
         messageField.text = "aligned";
    You may end up having issues with accuracy regarding geting a zero value since you are operating with decimal value changes... meaning you may not get exactly 0,0 values.
    Also, in the code you showed there is unnecessary repetition of these lines...
            trace(mCoordPlane.mAlignment.x);
            trace(mCoordPlane.mAlignment.y);
    If each conditional includes it, then you only need to have it once at the end after the conditionals

  • Console window is not showing up

    The console window for Java programs is not visible. Swing windows still working fine, and the program is still running (according to the Task Manager)
    I use windows XP.
    And yes, I've already tried going into Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced -> Show Console.

    Well, think of this test:
    public class A {
         public static void main (String[] args) {
              while (true){
                   System.out.println("Hey");
                   try { Thread.sleep(1000); }
                   catch ( InterruptedException e ) {break;}
    }If I run it from Eclipse, it's console box on the bottom will show the output, but if I export it as a runnable jar, it won't show up.See the previous reply about the difference between javaw.exe and java.exe

    Also, if I try to run it from DOS command:
    java HelloWorld.jar
    It throws:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld/jar
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: HelloWorld.jar
              blablabla
              blablabla
    Could not find the main class: HelloWorld.jar. Program will exit.I'm guessing the error is in Eclipse?Try
    java -jar HelloWorld.jar

  • Console window doesn't show on second start of java.exe

    I am building restart capability into my product.
    When the product is started for the first time, it is started through a Windows EXE using a ShellExecuteEx method. I simply launch "java.exe" with my classpath, etc. My Windows console window shows up and I am happy.
    When a do a restart of the app, I am inside of the original JVM. I have access to the exact same commandline that I used in the EXE to launch "java.exe" originally.
    With the restart, I simply call Runtime.getRuntime().exec(commandline) and pass in the exact same commandline that I passed in when I did this in the EXE. However, when I do this from within the JVM, I do not get my Windows console window. This is not good.
    Does anybody understandn what is going on here and how I can remedy this?
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    I'm not sure what is happening in your case.
    Do the images initially show in "Tools > Page Info > Media" or is that always with size 0px?
    Quote: ''but if i click on same link second time than size gets right and image is shown under preview box.''
    Is that with clicking on the web page?
    Can you load the images via the links that you see in "Tools > Page Info > Media" without any problems?
    Do you see the request for those images in the Network tab in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and what is the server response in that case?
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
    *Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • Having your program output to a separate console window

    I'm looking for a way to run my program(its just a console application)in a separate black console window(similar to Visual Studio). I'm looking on this forum. Someone said to go into Project Properties and hit a radio button that says "send output to console..." but I don't see it.
    I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3

    Andre,
    You were completely right. I'm embarassed to say that I outright forgot to add the fwsgood.close(); statement. Wasn't showing up as an error, so I missed it. Thanks for the answer, it really helped me out.

  • Console window is not showing

    Hi fellows,
    Today I found a problem with my built in console in Mac OS X Mavericks.
    The problem happens randomly. I'll explain it in steps.
    1. Click on the console icon - the console opens.
    2. From the menu - Console/Quit Console - the console closes.
    3. Click on the console icon - the console starts - but no window is displayed. There is mark under the icon, showing the the program is active, the top menus are present, but no window is displayed.
    4. After several quits and restarts at some point the console window reapers and there is log message in the sys.log saying:

    How can I fix the console and make it to appear every time I start the application?
    I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
    Kind Regards,
    Nick

    Do a backup.
    Quit the application.
    Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Console.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
    Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
    If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
    Thanks to leonie for some information contained in this.

  • Directing std output to the console window

    I am trying to direct the standard output from a separately executed console program to the console window belonging to the running application. How can I do this?
    For example, in the following code, if I execute the simple Windows 'dir' command using .exec, how can I make the output go to the application's console instead of going to a separate window?
    import java.io.*;
    class dir
      public static void main(String[] args)
        try
          Process runprogram = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe /C start dir");
        catch(IOException e){}
    }

    First I will post the mandatory link for everybody who asks about Runtime.exec():
    http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html
    Read that and notice the bit about getting data from the process's output stream. You can copy that data to the console.

  • JNI: Reading Java output from console window

    Hi!
    Sorry if this is wrong place to put this topic, but I didn't know where to put it, so now it's here.
    I'm trying to make a launcher program with C++ which would start my java program. I'm using "env->CallStaticVoidMethod (romexisClass, mid, args);" and it works perfectly. But I'd like to read the text which my java program outputs to the console window and save it into a text file. Is this possible and how? It looks like I stdout etc. won't work.
    Or as other option I could use some Java Exe Wrapper, but I haven't found any which would allow passing arguments to the main() without -D option and I need to be able to read those arguments from a .ini-file. It should be a subtitute for the following command "java -Xss$var1k -Xms$var2m -classpath $var3 test.program host=$var4" in which I'd read $vars from a .ini-file.
    Thx,
    Lassi

    Hello, I have creative cloud installed on my Mac Book Pro - OS X 10.9. 5 When trying to download trial programs, a popup window shows the message " you have been disconnected"  Connect to continue. The same message comes after repeated attempt to entering the login and password info. How can I solve this?

    Here is the screenshot of the window which comes after any attempt to download a trial version.  It is in French, it means you have been disconnected, connect to continue.

  • JRE 1.4.2 Plugin - Error in console window

    I have just installed the latest JDK 1.4.2. When I run any of our applets I get the error below in the console window.
    Can't find bundle for base name sun.awt.windows.awtLocalization,
    locale en_GB
    I have tried this on other machines and get the same error.
    It didn't have this problem with the previous installation that we used 1.4.1_04.
    Has anybody got any idea what's causing it and how to fix it ?
    Thanks

    I have the exact same problem, and when i try to use the back space button in a text field in the applet, it either shows as Question marks or as rectangles...
    This is not an issue with MS VM...

  • Console Window keeps popping up for one second then vanishes before I can read it

    a console window (with white letters on a black background) keeps popping up for 1 second and then vanishes before i have time to read it - How can i
    stop that, or how can i capture what is written on the console before it disappears (so that I can troubleshoot it)?
    I use as x64-bit Windows 8 pro Lenovo T430s.
    Thanks in advance,

    Thanks Andre,
    I ran ProcMon and went to the ProcessTree window, but could not find any cmd.exe there (and hence could not see the commandline). (I also watched the video about ProcMon).
    The closest I could find in the ProcessTree window was conhost.exe, with commandline showing:
    \??\C:\windows\system32\conhost.exe 0x4
    I saved the capture trace, at:
    http://sdrv.ms/14Dfvjs
    Do you see any other leads in there that I could work on?
    In the result column, I noticed some "buffer overflow" and "name not found", many associated with "tunmgr.exe" the Blackberry Link Communications Manager.
    I also noticed that in the ProcessTree Window, the only two process lines with an End Time are tunmgr.exe and conhost.exe.
    the respective command lines are:
    for tunmgr.exe:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Tunnel Manager\tunmgr.exe" -Embedding"
    for conhost.exe:
    \??\C:\Windows\system32\conhost.exe 0xffffffff
     - could that be it?
    If so, how could one fix that ?

    Go to the link below.Enter your Product Number as listed on Service Tag attached to bottom of notebook (may be under battery). You can also get the Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key. After entering PN, click Next ,then choose Software & Drivers.On the next page use the dropdown to select your OS (probably Windows 7 64bit). A list will populate with drivers. Download & Save the latest Audio driver.

  • DLL cout to console window

    Hello all,
    I have a DLL which when run through eclipse returns what is expected. When it is run through labview the DLL does not return what is expected.
    The DLL has cout commands that print to a console window, and I need to be able to see these through labview so I can see where the DLL is falling over.
    I know the DLL is working because it does return a path (it is looking for a file) if the DLL fails to finish, it would return the files contents if successful.
    I have tried to follow the forum explanations here with no success (+ another couple of other forum ideas on the same subject):
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Access-to-console-output/idi-p/1765904
    (if i select stderror i get nothing returned, if i select stdoutput nothing is returned and when I try to abort the program it won't abort).
    Can anyone suggest a way to get access to cout/ know why the example above is hanging?
    I am not running labview as a built .exe, I am just clicking the run arrow from the front panel, which calls the DLL
    (I am on windows 7 if it makes a difference)
    Thanks

    Hi All,
    I am trying to tackle a similar problem.
    I have attached a simplified version of what I want to call from LV.
    The function "triple", takes an integer and multiplies it by 3.  In addtion, it writes some 'debug' text using cout (see source code within zip folder)
    I can call the function from LabVIEW without any issues, and see that it performs its tripling function.  However, I can't see any of the cout text.
    For info, the DLL was compiled in MinGW.
    Any help would be most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Dan
