  • How to print crystal report through DOS

Can we print a crystal report from report viewer in text mode for dot matrix printer through command prompt

    Hi
I dont think there is a specific method for printing CR in DOS.
    Try the following procedure:
first make a .txt file of the report and on the click execute a .bat file which should contain the command for printing to lpt1 the required generated .txt file.Use Shell() to execute the bat file.
I hope this works for you

  • What is "Report Background engine"and How to use it ?

    Hi
I see this window shows up when I run Report each time, what dose it do?
    "Report Background engine"

The Reports Background Engine waits for any command lines to run reports. When it receives a command line,
it places that report in its queue. Typically, the Reports Background Engine receives command lines from a form or
graphic using the RUN_PRODUCT packaged procedure, or from a report using SRW.RUN_REPORT.
On Windows, you can use RWISV60 to submit a report to the Reports Background Engine for execution.
This is a more efficient method because it incurs less performance overhead than Reports Runtime. The command
line arguments for RWISV60 are the same those for RWRUN60. RWRBE60 is only used to run reports locally.
    Thanks,
    Siva

  • Recomendaciones 2 empresas

    Hola amigos:

  • Including DOS commands in Reports10g?!

Hi. I know it's possible to call a Report using Command Prompt. But is it possible to introduce DOS commands in a Report? I'm using Forms&Reports10g. If so, could you please give me an example of this kind. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
You can call java since Reports 9.0.2. Here below an example of code ...
How to launch an executable from a Reports ?
Import the java class : java.lang.Runtime
then, use the function exec (to call this function, it is necessary to retrieve the
    "runtime" object)
    Example:
    function BeforeReport return boolean is
    rt ORA_JAVA.JOBJECT;
    proc ORA_JAVA.JOBJECT;
    begin
    rt := RUNTIME.GetRuntime();
    proc := RUNTIME.exec(rt,'cmd /c set > e:\temp\getruntime.txt');
    return (TRUE);
    end;

  • Primary Surface Test Failed

I recently purchased a brand new Lenovo T61 Notebook from Lenovo and downloaded the Lenovo System Toolbox.  After running the Diagnotics, the Primary Surface Test Failed under the category Video Nvidia Quadro.  The notebook was purchased with a Discrete Graphics Card.  Tech Support was contacted after the failure who stated that it could be a bad video card or simply nothing.  Tech Support also stated that it doesn't appear that I have a Discrete Graphics Card and that the card is  built into the motherboard.  The graphics on the screen appear to be fine.  It is still under warranty.
    1.  How do I determine if a Discrete Video Card was installed without opening the cover?  I paid extra for the Discrete Video Card.
    2.  Does anyone understand what the Primary Surface Test is because the Lenovo Tech Support seemed to be questioning their answers by asking me what I thought.  This did not give me total confidence in the Lenovo Support.
    Thanks!
    KALNH

I have the same failure with the latest version of PCDoctor on my T60p. using a FireGL V5250. This appears to be a new subtest of the adaptor as the version of PCDoctor shipped on my machine runs without error also the current Dos version does not report an error.
I guess it's another Lenovo  validation problem. (This really 'turns me off')  hopefully it maybe fixed in a future update. (at least they could warn users that the latest version of PC-Doctor may (?) report errors if run on older hardware (System Update)
I have no other problems with the video card running under XP so I guess I can ignore it for now.
I note that the original post on this thread was using a different Video Adaptor so  the problem would seem to be a PC-Doctor related  problem.
On further investigation  I find that this Primary Surface test will run  without error  with the adaptor colour quality set at the highest setting (32 bit)on my FireGL video Adaptor...... HTH

  • Installation OID & OEM

After an ostensibly 'clean' install of 8.1.6.0.0 Enterprise Management Infrastructure; Custom option; all features, typical Net8 & Default DB settings I have problems.
From the services panel I check the box that allows the service to talk to the desktop and I get Could not start the OracleOraHomeOEMrootManagementServer service on \TAIM_SERVERNT4. Error 0203: The system could not find the environment option that was entered.
Also the DOS box for OEMCTRL reports:
OEMCTRL for Windows NT: Version 2.1.0.1.0
Copyright (c) 1998, 1999 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
    Starting the Oracle Management Server...
    D:\Oracle\admin\orb\resources.ora is not found!
VXA-3008 : Starting OMS Services, Wait.
The OMS is now started and ready.
[Thread-50][2000-12-11:12:32:10:302] Vxa - External Service cpservicedelegate no longer available
I search for a resources.ora and find one at D:\Oracle\orb\admin\resources.ora.
Note the reversal of the directory order.
It seems that no one would be able to run OEM from this install unless there were a fix.
Nothing appears to be mentioned in oracle816nte/install/READMEDOC.htm#761688
No reference to resources.ora exists in the Registry.
    References exist in the files
    D:Oracle\orb\bin\Uk.dll
    D:Oracle\orb\bin\yu40.dll
    D:Oracle\orb\mesg\ctlUS.MSB
    D:Oracle\orb\mesg\ydctUS.MSB
Someone must have this working somewhere the emperor cannot be that naked.
Any clues what my next step should be?
    TIA
    null

Also, Walet Manager failed to get past the splash screen.
Needing to get on with the project and able to do w/o OEM, OID, & directory sevice for a while I uninstalled, deleted all oracle directories and deleted all the oracle entries in the registry that were allowed ( "LEGACYwhatever" remained ).
I installed 8.1.5. Now Wallet Mgr. works. I wonder does 8.1.6 need to be installed into 8.1.5 for it to work completely?

    Hola.
Ok.

  • New problems syncing

out of blue, when i hook up my iphone to the usb port to sync with my macbook, it sometimes doesn't sync.
this has happened the last few times i've tried. sometimes i reboot the iphone &/or the macbook and then sometimes it will sync, sometimes it won't. eventually, somehow, it responds after a few tries. no problem syncing my ipods.
i'm not a fan of resetting my iphone to it's original settings. the software on my macbook isn't the latest so everytime i get a new iphone or have to reset, i lose stuff, like my notes.
anyone else having this problem recently? any solutions/
    tx,
    a-

I've had the same problem, and just within the past few weeks (perhaps in conjunction with a new iTunes install). When I synch, it appears to complete with no errors, but my calendar has not synched at all. This consistently happens, not intermittant.
As a workaround, I used HELP-Diagnostics, and selected iPhone synch (bottom check mark only), and it ran through diagnostics (in an open DOS window), and then reported SYNCH was working fine... and it did synch my iPhone! But the normal synch still does not work. Go figure.
I'm not a fan of a full restore either, so would really like to hear of any other solutions to this problem.

  • How to report possible Port scanning and DOS/Fraggle Attack??

I have been experiencing lag while surfing the internet. One temporary solution was to get a new IP from VZ but this fix was short lived. So I became curios and dtarted to log connection attempts to my router and noticed what I saw resembled port scans and even a Fraggle/DOS attack at times. I am posting my routers log below and would like to kno how to go about reporting this abuse and what I see as malicious activity?

You're getting hit from IPs from everywhere, so there's no true person to ask in regards to this. Whoever had your IP last was probably up to no good, or it's possible for some reason your IP was targeted. Might also be possible that whoever had your IP last was running servers. My Dedicated server gets hit with this nonsense all the time. Sometimes it's an issue with someone trying to DoS one of the game servers I run on it. Causes lag for only a few seconds before the hardware firewall in front of the server kicks in and handles the rest. China I actually wound up blocking access to entirely for a month or two since I've hardly seen anything that wasn't a port scan or an SSH/FTP hacking attempt.
A few of those IPs are owned by Google and Microsoft, which implies there was probably an HTTP server at one point running on the IP you're using now.

  • DOS batch command to call Hyperion workspace reporting batch job

    Hello,
Is there any method to call the batch job in hyperion workspace for exporting report ?
i would like to call the job batch by DOS batch. Is it possible?
    thanks

An option is to look at the SDK and see if there is a way for you to make a Java call to do what you are trying to do.
The SDK is part of the Services Install Package.
I have used the SDK to make a call to the External Event Trigger.
You may want to look at the Hyperion Workspace Developer’s Guide
