Consolidate and move only content originally created in project

I'm trying to discern whether there is a way to consolidate/move a project where content imported from elsewhere is copied but the original content for that project is moved. In other words, I make a project. I use a song from an existing itunes library. I use a photo from existing iphoto library. I do a voiceover into the project or a capture of a video and audio. I want to move the project and any cache/files whatever, to another drive etc.
I see choices to move or copy included media but not differentiate between previously created/borrowed media and project specific media.

No - I think You put the finger on a Major problem. I never solved it to 100%
But by using a more tedious way of working - I think I got it to work.
- one must use a Mac OS formatted (hfs) external hard disk - I prefere FireWire.
- Moving iMovie Event's and Projects - works great IF THEY ARE MOVED WITHIN iMovie - NEVER EVER on DeskTop/Finder
- Audio as from iTunes etc. I always convert to .aiff and export out to an Audio-CD. Files from this and other .aiff audio I then collect in a folder on DeskTop and named in reg. to the movie project. All .mp3 etc are converted to .aiff
- photos also only in .jpg and stored on DeskTop in a specific Poto folder.
Now the Audio and Photo folders also are copied over to the externl hard disk.
Then on second Mac/Workstation they are copied to this DeskTop.
And if all material that is used in Your Movie Project - was imported from iMovie Event's resp from the DeskTop folders - the new place will find it all where it's to be expeted.
As You've seen using audio from iTunes and photos from iPhoto - will not link OK when movies are moved externally. There is NO extra copy of audio or photos in Your movie project ( or movie either ) - only referenses on where to look for them and if they are left in iTune / iPhoto Libraries - they no longer are to be found when changing Mac.

I see. If you are syncing contacts with iCloud on both your Mac and your iPhone, deleting a contact from either device will delete them from icloud.com and all other devices.
What's really going on with iCloud is that your contacts actually reside on the iCloud server. Your Mac and iPhone are merely reading the current contact list as it exists on the server. When you delete a contact (or make any other change) on either device, you are making these changes on the server. As a result, all other devices "syncing" contacts with the same iCloud account will read this change. When you log onto icloud.com, you are viewing the server from your browser.

The audio is a .wav file created in Audacity.
The OS is Windows XP
The verison is CS4
I have included images of the Sequence settings and the playback settings because I was not sure what information you would need.
I am not sure what you mean by waiting for the Audio to conform but I know I have imported the audio and gone back the next day and tried to place it in the timeline and it still did not work.

Can I create two iCloud accounts and separate family and parent - only content?

I want to take my existing iTunes including music, movies and tv shows and put it on iCloud but also want to separate into family and parent-only accounts.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Unfortunately, you cannot transfer purchased content from one account to another. If you created a second account, for specific content, you would need to start purchasing again.

Best option to represent 3D Robotic structure and move only limbs not whole Body

I am trying to make simple 3D Robot with two legs and I want to move its legs and therefor forward motion of complete motor. I dont want to invlove reverse/forward kinematics.
I know little about following options
Soft Motion
3D Picture Control
loading solidworks vrml file in labview.
Is there anything better than this ??? Can anyone provide links, examples please.....its really urgent

Well m doing it as a part of my project........Micro Robot which has a Chevron beam exposed to Laser for actuation.
Here is the flow
Laser beam ON -> Increase in temperature -> Expansion of chevron beams -> Chevron beam pulls the conected shuttle forward -> Shuttle drags whole body forward ->
Laser beam OFF -> Back to initial temperature -> Back to original beam length -> Shuttle can move only in forward direction -> Body drags legs -> forward motion known as Stick Slip phenomenon.

Creating a project in iMovie and not being able to create a project in iDVD

I created a project on iMovie and published it to the Media Browser. Then, when I tried to start a new project in iDVD, it said "No Themes Installed". It gave me a choice to quit iDVD and install it again, or to look for the "Themes" folder. What do I do?

The themes are located in the HD/Library/Application Support/iDVD folder:
You can navigate to that folder to try to relink the themes to iDVD. If relinking doesn't do the job or if there are not there you'll need reinstall iDVD. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iDVD" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Then install iDVD from the disk it came on originally and apply the latest updater(s) as needed.
OT

When I restart my computer and hold the option key after creating a bootable usb with windows 7 and partitioning only the original partition shows up. Not the windows one or the bootable usb.

     Okay so first things first this isn't the newest macbook pro. When I open about my mac and go to system report it says it is a Macbook Pro 3,1 and the Boot Rom Version say MBP31.0070.B07. Originally when starting up Boot Camp Assistant there where only two options, the "create windows 7 bootable usb" was not there at all. So after some editing and helpful tutorials I was able to get the option show up and created a bootable usb with windows 7 and downloaded the support software onto a separate flash drive. Finally I did the last step and created a second partition for windows. Once the process is complete my computer automatically restarts.
     This is where the problem is. Once my computer makes the booting up sound it doesn't load up windows it gets stuck on a apple logo as if it's trying to reastart normally and can't. So I shut down and this time I hold down the option key during start up. It brings up the main partition and some recovery thing but no windows partiton and no bootable usb.
     I forgot to mention that I am running OS X 10.9.3. Okay any body want to help me out? Iv'e been at this for hours and can't get an inch closer to having windows. Please and thank you!
P.S. If I missed a discussion that answer my question just point me to it. Iv'e been looking for a while, but who knows i might have missed one.

The only known way to make it work on an external drive is by first installing Windows onto an internal drive, then cloning the install to an external Thunderbolt drive. Thunderbolt is seen as an extension of the internal bus, so Windows doesn't see it as an external device.

How do I duplicate a photo and move ONLY 1 copy to a new folder?

I am going nuts. After making a duplicate version of photo, I want to move the copy to a different file such that the photo can be in 2 locations. i.e. one copy in the original location, and then 1 copy in a separate location to be used for another purpose. i.e version 1 (summer vacation), version 2 (Daniel's high school). When I try to do this and drag a copy to the other folder, it keeps moving BOTH versions. So, I have 2 versions in either Folder but I can't get it to keep 1 copy or version in each folder!!

I did a little experimenting:
I seem to be able to copy a master to another project by option dragging if the image is managed. If it's referenced, it seems to copy a version that is still dependent upon the referenced master in the original project.
I can also drag just one of the versions to an album in another project which of course is also dependent upon the referenced master in the original project.
However, I can not copy just one version to another project. They both come, and all I can do is delete one of them.
NOTE: If I delete both with "move referenced files to trash" checked and they're referenced, the MASTER FOR THE ORIGINAL PROJECT IS GONE TOO!
I should also note that I did this as an experiment and have no need or desire to do this in my own workflow. IOW: I don't recommend it.

It's a book/novel, a fairly ordinary document to print professionally, exporting pdf 2002 standard. The numbers show up well and all. I'm just concerned that the numbers are too close to the safety limit of the pages and want to make them smaller and closer to the text. It's probably not necessary, but better safe than sorry. I'm concerned it may be rejected by the printer or print wrong, with missing or half missing numbers. I have done this before for a while, with several books, but not in InDesign. The numbering is at the bottom of the pages, shifting with even and odd numbers, left and right pages (spread)-
I use a new Asus laptop with top specs and Windows 8.1 and the newest CC.

Music album art and movie chapter shot mixed up

Hi I am new here.
I just noticed that the album art for my music and the shots in the movie chapter got mixed up. more details:
1) for the music, the album art are correct in the album view of iPod, and the blown up image when the music is playing. However, when I clicked the back arrow to get back to the main iPod screen, the album art in the lower left hand corner under "Now Playing" is messed up. it could be a) cover from another album 2) a question mark 3) a random shot in one of my movies (Monster Inc. if this is helpful...)
2) in movies, when i click on chapters, the chapter image for some movies which I bought from itunes are messed up. they could be some random shots from other videos (not movies) that i transfered myself. However, some movies (e.g. Monster Inc.) do not have this problem.
I didn't pay attention when this started to happen, but i am pretty sure at one point everything is alright... so... is there are way to fix this besides trying to delete everything and add again (I do not sync my library for music and movies, only pictures...)
any advise would be much appreciated... and oh... i have the most updated version of the firmware...

CK-7W and 6230i only connects via bluetooth

I have installed the carkit ck-7w and the phoneholder MBC-15S, but the only way my phone will connect to the carkit is via the bluetooth. When I put the phone in the holder (MBC-15S and the datacable)it starts charging but doesn't route the microphone or speaker to the carkit. The symbol that indicates a connection to the carkit (the symbol of a little car) does not appear. I have tried to replace the headunit of the carkit and the datacable, but without success. I also assume that the holder (MBC-15S) is not the problem because the problem is still there when the datacable is connected directly into the 6230i. Replacing the phone with an identical 6230i itself doesn't resolve anything, so I assume the 6230i isn't the source of the problem.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Have anyone experienced a similar scenario?
Could it be a software issue regarding the 6230i?

Hi! Just wanted to share the solution to my previously described problem.
It turned out that the CK-7W carkit wouldn't work properly as a result of an extension CAT-5 cable. During the installation ut turned out that the cable that runs from the phoneholder (MBC-15S) to the CK-7W was too short, so I decided to use an extension cable. The extension cable was an ordinary CAT-5 cable with 8P8C plugs in both ends, approximatly 50 cm long, connected to a free standing socket witch allows a 8P8C plug to inserted in both ends, making it possible to plug the male ends from the original datacable to the aftermarket CAT-5 plug(8P8C plug) together.
I removed the CAT-5 cable and used only the original datacable and the problem was solved.
I tested the CAT-5 cable and the free standing socket in a computer and everyting worked fine. So I guess there was nothing wrong with my aftermarket cable equipment.

Set up new iPhone 5 with iCloud restore, then iTunes created new library with only content already on phone. How do I find and sync everything in original library?

My daughter got a new iPhone 5 and we set it up using the option to restore her iPhone 4 backup from iCloud. This worked great and everything on the old phone showed up on the new phone. Because we were traveling, we weren't able to sync the iPhone 5 with iTunes at that time.
She purchased new apps and music on the iPhone 5. When we returned home she synced with iTunes, and it seems to have created a new library, with only the content currently on the phone. I don't know if it prompted her to do this on the first sync or not - she doesn't remember.
So in iTunes, the library now only shows the music on the phone. A sync isn't doing much now because when choosing the phone in iTunes and selecting each content type across the top (Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows) the box is unchecked to sync that content. When I check the box to "Sync Music", iTunes gives a warning:
Are you sure you want to sync music? all existing songs and playlists on the iPhone Becca's iPhone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library.
Same goes for apps, except that warning also mentions that the apps and their data will be erased and replaced.
At some point she was also getting a message that this iPhone was associated with another library, but I'm not sure how she had triggered that. She says she canceled out of that. I can see all of the music
How do we get iTunes to see the "old" library of songs, videos and apps without losing the ones she's purchased already on the iPhone? The music files themselves are still on the computer, and include music both purchased from iTunes as well as music ripped from CDs. Thanks for any advice!

Trying to create a new movie. It tells me to name my movie, and the only event choice is the last movie I made. I don't want it there. I'm lost and I'm just starting. Not sure I like the new version. Any help out there?

So it is cutting off the end at 59 minutes? How large is the file that is being exported? You may be running up against a file size limitation.

Don't do that - flag the photo and go to the target event and use the add flagged photo to selected event command to move it intact within iPhoto
