    Greetings,
Does Lightroom support tethering for the sony RX100?
    Thank you!!

    No. See http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/tethered-camera-support-lightroom-4.html

  • Does Lightroom support camera tethering?

I looked through the forum and could not find this.
Does Lightroom allow digital camera capture by tethering the camera to a computer like Camera Control Pro for Nikon's and Kodaks Camera Manager?
If it does, this most likely will be our new and great workflow. Currently when using both Nikons and Kodaks we have to use four (or more) separate software programs to capture the image, adjust the image (if necessary) crop & retouch the image, and upload it to our laboratory.
    Looking for the vida loca.

If it matters, we too would like to see tethering improved, especially for Nikons.
Nikon has stopped supporting their Capture (V 4.x) software. Capture wasn't the greatest package but it served a purpose as the front line, 'real time' camera to screen program. Capture does not support the newest NEFs found in the D80, (and others?)! The replacement, Capture NX, does not support tethered shooting or browsing for that matter. NX has some interesting ideas but no tethering, no browser, it is useless to us? Nikon's new Camera Control Pro downloads the pics from the camera to the computer but leaves them there... no further processing.
We are forced to find another solution. There are not too many to choose from besides LR. Capture Pro is pretty dear, Bibble's capture, while slick, directly from camera to browser, it is not too stable or reliable! Sorry guys but we can not be rebooting / making excuses while the customer is waiting. I haven't found anything else for a Nikon.
Our business really needs good tethering as we usually shoot with the customer in the studio expecting to take home some prints. Besides 'real time' viewing, which is a real plus with the customers, tethering also eliminates the steps, and time needed to stop shooting and download images to the computer. It also makes for a real smooth two person operation.
So, I (we), hope the LR crew is working on a direct import for all raw formats. The LR tethering could use a speed boost. Just eliminating the third party capture software and extra file move would be a big help.

  • Does lightroom support the Nikon D5300 ...Tether.

Before I buy lightroom, I'd like to make sure it will tether to a Nikon D5300.  Thanks!

Why not download the trial version and see for yourself anyway?

  • Does Lightroom Support OpenType Fonts?

When selecting a font in the Lightroom Slideshow module no OpenType fonts are displayed, although they are available in other apps. How can I use OpenType fonts in Lightroom on Windows Vista?
    Thanks,

    No. See http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/tethered-camera-support-lightroom-4.html

  • Does Lightroom support RAW files from the Sony RX-100M2?

I use LR 4.4 with my Sony A-77 and Sony A-100.  I just purchased a Sony RX-100M2.  My current version of LR (LR 4.4) doesn't recognize the RAW files from my new RX-100M2.  Will I have to upgrade to LR version 5?  Will that even help?
    Thanks.

Support appears to be preliminary:  There is no RX100M2 Adobe Profile and the camera is not listed as being supported, so while it is true that you can open the M2 files in LR5, the colors appear slightly off and dimmer than for the RX100(M1).  I suspect Adobe may have given preliminary support by using the RX100(M1) profile for the RX100M2 but hopefully the support improves with the next version of LR5 comes out, hopefully later this week:
Here is a thread discussing the differences and some sample ARW files from both the M1 and M2:

  • Does LightRoom support Raw images and HDR

I am interested in creating a number of HDR prints and am looking for the right software to get.

HDR photos must be created by some other application (not Lightroom). Once created, Lightroom can edit the HDR and print it.

  • Does Lightroom Support EPS File Format?

We are thinking about switching over to Lightroom, but 95% of our 60,000 images are EPS files. I recently used a trial version and it didn't seem to recognize my EPS files. Is there a way for Lightroom to acknowledge these files? Is there a plugin to download and try?
    Thanks,
    Stacey

    Thanks, Geoff.
We work on files that have clipping paths attached to them and save them for print purposes to be placed in InDesign. Then we send hires pdf files to the printer for our catalogs.
We currently use Cumulus for data asset management. It acknowledges all file types. We were considering purchasing the Cloud and looking at using Lightroom to manage our digital assets. So right now, we are just researching to see if Lightroom could handle all of our files, file formats and how well it would search our large catalog of assets. We would switch from Cumulus to save money of the yearly maintenance fees that they charge and thought that if we could use Lightroom in a similar way then it would be worth the change.

  • [Consolidation-Locked] Nikon D600 Support

Hi, I have just recently purchased Nikon D600, and at the same time I found out that it is not supported by Adobe as of yet. My question is, when could I expect Adobe to release some type of an update to fix this issue?
Message title was edited by: Brett N

Lightroom 4.2 and Camera Raw 7.2 (Elements 11) are currently available and provide support for the Nikon D600.
Go to Help > (Check for) Updates to install.

  • Does lightroom support the Nikon 7200D?

i am unable to import picture when i connect to my mac computer… i recently purchased the 7200D and had no problems with the Nikon D5200
    any suggestions?
    Tom

You'll need LR 6/CC to import these files.
If you have an older version, download the free DNG converter, and convert you nefs to importable dngs.

  • Does Lightroom 3 support Panasonic DMC FZ200 RAW files?

Does Lightroom 3 support Panasonic DMC FZ200 RAW files?  I think the update for LR 4.2 does.  But I still have LR 3 and do not wish to upgrade right now.

Of course not.  The camera was announced 8 months after the last version of LR 3 came out.
You could use the free DNG converter.

  • Does Lightroom 4, or Lightroom 5 support Raw format from the new Nikon Df camera?

Does Lightroom 4, or Lightroom 5 support Raw format from the new Nikon Df camera?
    Can anyone please tell me?
If not, is there a way for me to get the photo's in to Lightroom in another manner?

LR 4 no. LR 5.3 support added. If you have used an earlier version of Nikon software to download the nef files to your computer this may have made the files unreadable in Lightroom.

  • Does Lightroom's brush tool support Wacom Pen Pressure?

Does Lightroom brush tool support true "pen pressure" from the Wacom Intuos tablets?  According to Weston Maggio and Joe Sliger of Wacom (in numerous Webinars), "Pen pressure has been supported since Lightroom version 2."  I have used Lightroom's brush tool extensively and find no difference between the Pen and the Mouse.  The FLOW slider seems to be the only thing that adjusts how much effect applied.  If you continue to 'paint' your brush adjustments over an area with a flow of 20% it will gradually build up with either pen or mouse but the amount of pressure on the pen appears to make no difference.  If there is "Pen Pressure" available how do I enable it?  Thanks

No, it is not. Wish it was for adjusting the "flow" in the adjustment brush, but that's really what Photoshop is for (meaning local adjustments). I perform all global adjustments in Lightroom and open the image as a smart object in Photoshop. Much better control, Lightroom is too limited as to local adjustments to be truly useful. Other than "flow," I see no reason for pen pressure so it's ok.
