Constant blue screen

So I just bought my laptop about two weeks now.. and the very first day i had a blue screen... now each day everytime i turn it on the blue screen comes on like about three times then for the rest of the time it's good.. then when i go on the internet.. the blue screen comes on the it restarts and then it's fine.... i scan the computer to see if there is any viruses but nothing comes up. and now all of a sudden some of my programs don't work, windows closes the programs but doesn't have a solution to why... please help did i get a deffect or what????
My model is Satellite L305-S5947
Thank you

The fastest thing I would do is pop in the Restore CD and Restore the laptop to factory, and see if the problem is cured, looks like a corrupted driver thats all, and once you update DONT connect to the internet just surf the computer here n there and restart it couple times, hibernate it, sleep it, test it play a dvd, cd, etc, etc
Then connect to the internet via wifi, or lan , then if the blue screen comes up then you know, its your network adapters...Try to find an update driver via windows update or on this website...
Return the product and get another one if possible would be the last option...hope this helps..

  • HP 100B All-in-One PC Constant Blue Screen upon wake up then Restart

Hello - I am looking for help since every time I wake up my desktop I get a blue screen error then it restarts and the computer works fine.  I have run a full virus scan with no issues as well as the cmd sfr/scannow  that I saw online.  My drivers and system appears to be up to date since I have no updates listed.  I run the trouble shoot tool once it restarts and  and it doesn't find any issues.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Hey BSmiles,
I'm sorry you're running into this issue with the blue screen.
By default Windows is set to restart the computer when it encounters an error, but you can change that setting.
Click the Start button > Type "system" > Click 'System' > From the left pane, Click Advanced system settings > Click the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery section
    Uncheck the Automatically restart box
This will keep your computer from restarting immediately after the blue screen. Some people prefer to do this so they can read the STOP error code.
Next I'll need the minidump file to see what is causing the blue screen. Navigate to C:\Windows\minidump. You'll need to upload the most recent .dmp file to a third party site, (like sendspace.com or filedump.net, or another site like those) since the HP forums do not allow this type of file upload. Just provide me with a link to which ever site you choose so that I can take a look at the .dmp file.
If you have any questions about that please let me know I'll keep an eye out for your reply

  • Blue Screens of Death - what can be the common thread

Whenever I use any PPC app on my system (running Snow Leopard 10.6.1) I get constant blue screen crashes. I've entered multiple bugs on Apple's bugreporter system about this.
Most of the crashes to date have occurred in a routine called UCKeyTranslate. Anyone can with ease determine if this is where your crash occurred. When you get the blue screen, open the Console App (in Utilities), make sure you have the list of files to examine on the left (Make sure toolbar button "Show Log List" is clicked on. Open the "System Diagnostic Reports" list, and see if there is a WIndowServer... entry at the bottom - if so click on it. About two lines down you should see something like this:
Thread 0 Crashed: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
    0 ...ple.CoreServices.CarbonCore 0x00007fff8735d2a6 UCKeyTranslate + 464
The first line after "Crashed" is the key - here you can see the UCKeyTranslate. Now, I know this is where the windowserver crashed.
If you see that. now click on system.log - its under the FILES container in the left list. In the search field enter UCKeyTranslate - if you see many entries, then you have this Carbon problem. People not having crashes don't have these error messages.
There are tens of threads here on this problem - but no solutions. This begs the questions - why do some people get the problem, and others not?
If you are having the problem (or even if you are not), one thought is use of non-Apple keyboards. I have two USB keyboards I use (one at work, one home. [However, I have had the blue screens using the MacBook Pro in laptop mode too, but the system was "exposed" to my keyboards first.]
    So, my questions:
    - do you get crashes just using a laptop, where you NEVER plugged in a "foreign" keyboard?
    - do you get crashes using just Apple keyboards?
    - do you NOT get crashes using PPC apps (like Excel 2004 or Eudora) and have a "foreign" keyboard?
Anyone have a good idea of an additional question to add, go for it! The problematic systems MUST have some file or resource hidden somewhere that is causing the problem - if we can find it we can get a workaround. Apple does not seem to be in any hurry to provide a work around or a fix...
    David

Although the WindowServer crashes have only happened to me when I have a Apple (non-extended, USB) keyboard connected, I occasionally (only rarely now) use
    http://pfuca-store.stores.yahoo.net/haphackeylit1.html
(In fact, I have two HH keyboards and at least one Apple USB keyboard).
Is there a way to remove a keyboard driver from OS X 10.6.1 ?

  • Blue screen crash constant loop

Apple has a serious issue that they are not addressing tech support said it was a hardware issue. If it is then ios8 broke millions of iphones. The person that answered my call said he had not heard of this issue. I said google blue screen iphone. He said yeah I see some threads. Apple needs to deal with this. It is a major problem and is costing me money when i cannot use square.

I Have done every sort of restart reboot possible. Sometimes it will even go into dfu mode while I am holding the home button. Sometimes in the reboot loop it will comeback on. Sometimes it won't unless I am holding a button it is all very random. For Apple to tell me it is a hardware issue is ridiculous. Especially when google shows loads of people with the same issue.

  • Constant flashing blue screen during operation?

I keep having the screen turn blue and then suddenly go back to normal. It's a quick flash, totally random, repetitive during operation, no noises, and nothing else is interrupted. It does not restart, log off, or try to. Is it about to die?

While she may be using the wrong hardware for this community, It might be a pertinent question for some folks.
I have a 2006 Mac Pro and I an experiencing the exact same problem. Random blue screens, I can still type and move the mouse (not seeing any of it on screen until the random blue screen goes away).

  • Constant Crash / Blue screen reboot

I just purchased this P505-S8010 2 weeks ago  Everything was great for the first couple of days.  Then it crashed and rebooted I didn't think about now 2 weeks later its crashing all the time.  Does any one have a clue?  Or should I just return it and start over.  I have installed Office 2007, Adobe Photoshop and Corel draw.  that's it.  HELP?

If you can, return it.  Run to the store to return it.  My P505 has been blue-screening since March and will be going back for it's 4th visit to the repair depot.  The longest I have had it before shipping it back was 2 weeks.  the shortest was 5 minutes.    I'm told they will not extend the warranty and until such time as Toshibe decides it is not repairable, I will get neither a replacement nor a refund, we just continue the cycle of I call, they send a box, I send to them, they take less than a day to fix, send back to me.  Only people profiting from this is UPS and ASUS, whom I bought a netbook to use while mine spends to much time traveling the country.

  • Constant restarting with a blue screen - Satellite A60-332

I've got a Satellite A60-332 for about just over two years now, recently I noted two major problems which I haven't had time to chase up:
    1. Sometimes the laptop just restarts by itself for no reason whatsoever. Suddenly when I'm working, a blue screen with white text appears for half a second and the system restarts. Rarely another issue occurs where after this it won't restart but will be beeping like crazy.
    2. I've had this problem since I bought my laptop; sometimes the laptop will not play any audio. What happens is after turning the system on; if the audio is working: all the "switches" in the volume control window will be present (wave, cd player, aux, phone line, etc.) However sometimes when the audio is not working it just shows three switches, no more.
I've had both problems for a while now, and I've reformatted my computer at least 5 times since I bought it, these problems never dissappear.
I also had another question; my hard drive is the 30GB supplied with Toshiba. I wanted to upgrade it, but heard that most laptops, including toshiba, have a hidden partition on the hard disk called a tatoo, this is where some of the system files are stored so that when you run the recovery disks, they work properly. Can anyone confirm this since obviously it's not a pop & pull job to install a new hard disk, considering I won't be able to copy that tatoo.
Thanks a lot for any help in advance.

    Hi
1.) BSOD mostly appears because of the serious software malfunction or because of the hardware fault. The notebook could also automatically shut down because of the overheating. In such case you should check your fans and if possible clean it with the vacuum cleaner. But be careful. If it will not work so test the OS with the clean OS installation. Maybe a 3rd party software has a bad influence.
Additionally check if the unit uses the newest version of BIOS. If not update it.
2.) Dont know why it happens but possibly due to the mentioned overheating.
However, you could try to reinstall the sound driver.
3.) Sometimes the notebooks are delivered with the Qosmio player or express media player. Such players are installed on the hidden partition. I dont think that there could be other reason for the hidden partitions.

  • Constant resets and freezes/ occasional blue screen

I recently tried to go from iOS 7.1 to 7.0.6. After that, even after hard resets, the phone would work for maybe 30 seconds, then freeze up again. I restored my iPhone back to 7.1 and restored my backup and it still freezes. Now, it constantly restarts itself and just sits on the apple logo. Every now and then, it will flash a blue screen and then repeat the cycle of repeating and freezing. I am using and iPhone 5s.

Did you go from 7.1 to 7.0.6 (downgrade), or upgrade from 7.0.6 to 7.1?
This restarting problem was common with 7.0.6, and has been somewhat fixed with 7.1 (e.g., my iPhone 5S no longer crashes, but my iPad Air still crashes, though less frequently). Now my iPad Air freezes. I've looked around and there seems to be no readily available solution.
If a restore doesn't solve the problem, you can either go to the Genius Bar and see what they say, or just wait for what seems to be another bug. I might backup my iPad Air soon and take it in since this seems to be a software/hardware issue. Sorry I really couldn't help, but I was surprised nobody has addressed your question.

  • Two PCIe-6537 read error and blue screen of death

    Hi all
I am reading two PCIe-6537 at 20MHz sample rate acquiring all 32 lines each with externally supplied clock and external trigger.
When operating separately, no problem, but when two are read I get
    a) on average of 25% of time error reading the data (time out error but happening before the actually time set by timeout, i.e. immediately after trigger)  and
    b) a blue screen of death after 1h or so of constant operation.
I have a feeling a) and b) are related and LV causes the system crash with so many errors. NI support seems to think otherwise.
I am using Dell Studio XPS 8100 and I have done all the firmware updates for the Chipsets etc. It has
    not changed anything.
Changing single line to whole port reading does not change anything.
Any ideas what to try else?

    Hello Pawel,
I have looked over the service request you mentioned about acquiring 2 PCIe-6537 at 20MHz sampling rate on all 32 lines. In order to narrow down this issue, I think it would be best to try only acquire from both cards without doing any triggerring etc. Also when performing this test, I would only want to acquire from 8 channels on both cards to see if this reproduces it. If this works, we can slowly add more elements to narrow down what the issue is and make us more effective to solve the problem.
I also wanted to ask if you have tried this setup on another machine and if it worked.
Along with this, have you tried to create two Digital Tasks in MAX and try to acquire for the same amount of time to see if the issue reoccurs here? This would tell us if this problem is connected to the driver/computer or LabVIEW.

  • Reaching blue screen on start up - login window not appearing

I've checked the other threads on this, and have even posted about this previously without solution. The last time this happened I had no choice but to clone over my backup. Now it's happened again I need to stop it from happening a third time.
We've had two instances of my partner shutting down from within her user and finding the Mac hanging for so long that she's forced to hold the power button down to get out of it. The next day I run DiskWarrior, restart and all appears fine - no problem restarting or on shutdown. This morning I get to the blue screen and that's where it stays. The mouse appears, then disappears, then appears again, and this is all it does.
Started up in Safe Mode - same result.
Ran DW and TTP4 again - no issues and nothing to repair.
Every test I run shows everything is as it should be - yet all I get is blue screen.
The Crash Log shows an issue with the Security Agent. If anyone can interpret it and shed some light I'd be really grateful:

Unless you know of a specific log entry, I would hold off posting more that most can't decipher.
I understand that, but without knowing which specific bit of the log entry is relevant, it's hard to make that call. I'd hoped that by posting the whole thing someone could point me in a specific direction.
Most of the time it is a matter of trial and error and removing 3rd party devices, cables, and looking at 3rd party background processes, driver extensions, apps, haxies, and such.
The problem I have doesn't repeat itself after I've replaced the HD with my backup SD clone. Yet the SD clone was updated a week after this happened the first time, when I was sure that everything was working fine. It was then updated a couple of times after that, and 2 months must have gone by when it happened again yesterday, causing me to have to restore. So working on the principle of removing stuff in order to test whether its them, when they all seem to work fine for weeks, seems unlikely to be fruitful, as much as I'd like to know what it is.
You may need to reapply the combo update for 10.5.4, or do an archive and install.
    I'd already performed the former. I guess an A & I can't hurt.

  • Blue Screen of Death Please Help!!!

Hi Everyone. I'm having some major issues with my iPhone 5s (16GB updated to iOS 8.1.1). Literally every time I so much as look at the phone it restarts and gives me the Blue Screen of Death. This happens randomly. At one time it was just a minor annoyance (as it only happen occasionally), but now it is unbearable. My phone is on a constant cycle of Black Screen, Apple Screen, and then Blue Screen.
Before you ask, yes I have reset all of the settings, yes I have tried holding down the home button and the lock button, and yes I have tried wiping my entire phone (in the past) to get rid of this problem.
Please help! Nothing I have done or tried to do is fixing this problem.
Thank you so much in advanced.

If you have restored the device as new and tested it without using your backup and it is still malfunctioning, then you need to make an appointment with the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider, depending on your location, and have the hardware checked.

  • HP m8300f Blue Screen and Shuts down by itself

My 2 yr old HP m8300f 32 bit operating system AMD Athlon 64 X 2 dual core processor 6000+ 3.0 ghz with 3.0 ram Media Center with Vista home premium with SP2 edition PC keeps shutting down or freezes. Sometimes I get a blue screen, black screen,no signal or freeze up at current task. It also has a hard time at startup and when it does this a beeping noise is heard. Sometimes constant and sometimes a series 3 beeps stops and then repeats itself. I 've went through all the self helps short of system recovery discs. Safe mode has been accesed and all system seems to check out o.k.  Although it has shut down during some of the tests.  All drivers updated and many programs removed.
I have researched all over the web and some say it is a driver problem, while others say it is hardware related.  One person on another forum stated they took their same PC to a tech person and they said that the monterboard had some bulging capacitors.  I have not found any solution so I am at a loss! Anyone have an answer or fix?
    Thanks,

If it beeps then read this article:  HP BIOS beep codes.
Try this bootable memory diagnostic disk:  Download memtest86 iso file and burn it to disk using Imgburn.
    Try this procedure:
Unplug the PC and open it up. Clean out all the dust. Carefully remove and replace all the cables going to the motherboard one at a time. Do the same for the memory dimms and the video and sound cards if you have any. Plug your PC back in a give it a go.
You might want to inspect your motherboard for heat damage using a flashlight.

  • Blue Screen, then beeping noise?

When I turned on my MacBook Pro it produced a plain blue screen, followed by a constant beeping noise. Whats wrong and how do I solve this issue?

    Look at this link:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.7/en/mh21674.html
It seems you will have to take it in for service.
    Ciao.
