Constant BSOD, Can't seem to fix

My board crashed so I replaced it and my memory with an MSI 970A-G46.  My RAM is running in dual channel with 8GB on each side.  I reinstalled Win 64 bit and it started crashing almost immediately.  It would run for a few hours but then crash.
It only crashes while browsing the internet.  I use Firefox and thought maybe it was my browser. I tried Chrome though with the same effect.   My Video Card is a GEForce 460.  Finally I decided to try a new hard drive and reinstall Windows
again.  This time it worked a few days and started to crash again. Same issue, only when browsing.  I have tried updating every driver I have to no effect.  Windows update tried to install a new service pack yesterday but that took forever and
got rolled back because of an error.  Basically the only hardware I have left is the Power Supply, processor and video card.  I keep my processor fan and heatsink clean, I have tried a different video card with the same issue so I really don't think
it is my hardware.
My last crash brought this up in Event Vewer:Log Name:      System

The other dump files showed the reason for BSOD is probably caused by some system files like dxgkrnl.sys, ntfs.sys and win32K.sys, which I think is related with(or caused by) the hardware failure.
For BugCheck information, please see:
Bug Check 0x3B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
Bug Check 0x1E: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Hope this might help

I really need this issue resolved it is driving me insane!!! How can the images appear perfectly fine on my laptop then when transferring over to a USB stick they just  corrupt!?

    Check out this site:
    http://osxdaily.com/2012/04/22/format-drive-mac-pc-compatible/
That will show you how to format a USB stick for use on both PC and Mac.
If the problem continues take it to an Apple store and have them check it out.

    From:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExFAT
"exFAT (Extended File Allocation Table) is a Microsoft file system optimized for flash drives.[3] It is proprietary and patented."
That first site explains it at length.

Yes, if you repurchase it you may lose your progress. The exception would be a game that stored all your progress on a server under your ID
If you want to retain your progress you have two choices:
    1. Don't apply the update.
    2. Use your fathers account password to update the game.

That is correct...  I know the Admin password but the password for my keychain is not correct and I can't seem to remember what the last password would have been.  Any ideas how to reset it?  Maybe delete and recreate?  I know I may lose some info.  Thanks!

I purchased a book in advance.  It is now in my library, but the word "paused" appears across the book and I cannot access. I assume the download did not complete, but I cannot seem to fix it.  Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping upward on the app window (not the smaller icon) off the screen.
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

If your F keys work when you press them along with the fn key (bottom left of your keyboard), then go to System Prefs > Keyboard > Keyboard and uncheck the box, "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys."

  • At a loss, BT can't seem to fix my problem.

I don't know if anyone else has any suggestions but I'm at a loss here.
We've had nothing but endless problems with BT over the last 4 months and I'm simply lost now.
It started when me and my girlfriend recently moved into our new ground floor flat early January and an engineer came round to set up our infinity connection (we moved it with us, had absolutely no problems at last address). He got the internet working and said someone will be round later to fix the phone line. The engineer came round and fixed the phone line but in doing so, broke the internet connection and then left. We then tried to arrange visits from various engineers, none of which actually showed up. I was even told on 2 seperate occasions that "the work will be done without anyone having to come into the property. Someone is actually working on it now" which I found out later to be a blatent lie as no one had been booked to come round. An engineer finally came out to fix our connection 11 whole days after it was initially supposed to be connected.
Unfortunately, that was only the first problem. Now, whilst the internet does work and we do get reasonable speeds (35/10 wired) the connection will drop anywhere between 10 seconds to an hour at a time at random points during the day, mainly at peak times. This will result in the DSL light on the white OpenReach modem flashing or going out completely or, since we upgraded to HH5, the light turning Amber/Orange. As someone who works from home and also enjoys online gaming in my spare time you can imagine how frustrating this can be and is starting to have a negative impact on my business. BT seem to be at a complete loss as to what the problem is, although they'd never actually admit this.
These things have so far been ruled out:
Our hub was upgraded to a HH5 with the builtin modem (not a hub or OpenReach modem issue)
    All wires have been replaced.
Phoneline from the flat has been fault checked which it passed.
The OpenReach socket (the combined DSP and Phonline one) has been replaced and upgraded.
Connection has been completely restarted several times.
I'm not too good with the technical side of things but I did notice in the HomeHub settings that I'm getting a Noise Margin of - 12.8 / 17.6. That isn't good, is it? From what I can tell it should be around the 6 mark? Could inteference from someone else's flat be causing these problems?
EDIT: Oh, just thought I'd add that the actual phone line has been crystal clear the entire time with no crackling or dropouts.
EDIT 2: Something I've just noticed: When my line is stable and working correctly, the first value in the Noise Margin drops significantly (currently hovering around 3.6 / 17.1). This is indeed starting to look like the problem.
After spending roughly 4 hours on the phone to BT in the last 4 months (they REALLY enjoy putting you on hold and moving you between departments) I've given up and refuse to call them again.
This is my last ditch attempt to get my problem fixed and any help at all anyone can provide would be very much appreciated!
    Thanks in advance.

  • HT201307 My iPad Mini has stopped working with my router.  I honestly don't remember how I got  it working when I bought it, but I can't seem to fix it!!!!

I need help from a person...  I bought this for educational reasons, it became handy when following the weather and such at home...  It disconnected from my home router, and I need help to reconnect it!  I don't remember how I did it, and I have no idea why it won't connect now....  Help, please.  I need this more than ever - working on a new teaching job, RIGHT NOW...  Need this or I could loose my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an iPad user to user forum, so you are not addressing Apple. Most US users are not on-line during the night.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netwhttp://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • Iphone 4, having a weird problem /: can't seem to fix it!

So i have been having my iphone for a while, i have no warranty on the phone now. I have this weird problem that when i scoll down my messages and stuff i can see the outline of the message kind of show rainbowish colors that sort of show a bit when i scroll, right near the border of the message. its kind of annoying at times, also there are times when i press the home button, right when i get to my wallpaper, the outline of the letters when i text are there like very very faint, they disappear after for a while but then come back sort of like a glitch, and i cant fix it at all. then i would see faint horizontal lines, i would notice them when i use the camera, they disappear also. can anyone help me with this or suggest something?

Screen lag is normaly the LCD itself. But try restoring the iPhone. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

  • Problem hanging that I can't seem to fix

I generally leave my MBP on all the time. Twice when I've returned to it over the last three days, it is locked at the desktop. It has not gone into sleep mode and I need to press the power button in order to restart the machine. Of course, it then takes about 2-3 minutes to restart, with the Apple Logo screen showing the spinning thingy and the blue screen appearing before the desktop finally comes up.
The MPB is about 16 months old and seems to run well when things are up and running. It has 2 gigs of memory (that appear to be ok) and my hard drive seems to be ok too, according to the Disk Utility program (though I have not run that off of the DVD.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. I've had zero problems until the last month, but some little things are happening that have me concerned.

I do periodic maintenance and repaired the permissions. I also reset the pram and also the SMU last evening. I am hoping that will help. This has happened so randomly, it's hard to know what is making it happen or what will fix it. We'll see!

  • A complaint: Apple can't seem to fix rbuffering problems!

    Hi
Google the word "rebuffering" and you will get more hits about iTunes than anything else. Somthing's fishy.
ITunes is my preferred music player. I use iTunes and when working, listening to internet radio through my PC. It occurs on this computer, connected directly with DSL and listening to streaming radio. I also have 2 Airport Expresse's in the house and often broadcast my music to a couple stereos but again, the problem is NOT the wireless, it's right at the PC, hard wired to the DSL.
The dropouts occurs whenever I'm doing processor intensive work on my PC (my setup has lot's o' memory, speed, processor etc), iTunes rebuffers a LOT (even when not playing through the wireless network). For years I have been trying various fixes. Virus and malware scans. Disabling services, defragging etc.
Funny thing is that when I'm having rebuffering issues I switch over to Windows Media Player. Listening to the same radio station I NEVER get rebuffering with Windows Media Player so as a control WMP shows there's somthing wrong with iTunes.
I prefer iTunes. I like the GUI, and the way it organizes my music and it works with my IPhones and Ipods and other iThings. BUT, If I could stream Internet radio through Windows Media Player I WOULD because it works and is more robust.
So despite my Wintell setup I, like many of you have brand loyalty to Apple for several things and I respectfully request that Apple please FIX this problem.
    Greg

  • Slow laptop that I just can't seem to fix - Mingler issue?

So my laptop has been intermittently slowing to a crawl. It seems from viewing Activity Monitor that the culprit is Mingler which is related to syncing. At it's worst the machine is unusable taking 10-20 seconds or more to respond to a mouse click and pinwheeling endlessly. I've also been getting this message:
"Your mac os x startup disk has no more space for application memory. To avoid problems with your computer, quit any applications you are not using. Closing windows and removing files from your startup disk will also help"
Which is sorta crazy: I have 8GB of ram and I have two internal 500GB hd's striped in a 0 raid for 1TB of internal of which 650GB is available. The only programs running when I get this are: Mail, Safari, Finder and Activity Monitor.
Mingler is using anywhere from 5.47 to the full 8GB of Real Mem and 60GB or more of Virtual Memory. It's often taking 95-98% of memory.
Outside of Mingler I am running out of ideas for the machine being so slow. I've defraged the disk with idefrag, I've rebuilt the permissions with both Disk Utility and Disk Warrior and I've run Disk Warrior on the disk. I was getting SUID errors that were reporting damaged files that were not repaired. Finally I reinstalled the OS but it made no difference.
This machine is essential to my work and it's letting me down. Last week during a Keynote presentation it was taking 20-30 seconds to switch slides front of an audience of almost 200 people. I had to have the tech person run the presentation from my backup on their laptop. Next week I have a location job in Colorado where I have to shoot tethered to this machine. I need to figure this out.
I'm now scaling the size of the drive back in preparation of installing two SSD drives in a striped Raid to get the machine as fast as possible but I don't want to install a damaged system onto new drives. I don't want to have to do a clean install and suffer having to reinstall all my programs. That can't be the only option - can it?
What can I do to get my fast machine back? Help!
    G

What happens if you get rid of Mingler given what you've described? I've never seen a process called Mingler, but you may find help in this discussion.

  • Last 3 times I downloaded iTunes my Windows XP system locked up. CPU usage stays pegged at 100 percent. I can only seem to fix it by restoring to an earlier set point while in safe mode and then uninstalling I tunes. Any thoughts.

It seems like I can't load ITunes onto this machine anymore, although I did successfully use earlier versions

Just in case, let's check to see if we've got a LSP issue here:

  • I can't seem to fix the error 3212 with itunes on my pc

No one seems to have an answer to this.
I can not get iTunes to recognise my ipad or iphone, but it does recognise my ipod.
When i try to connect to iTunes store i get error 3212
But my internet is working and i can connect to Itunes store on all my devices and the internet too.
I have updated all my softwate and router firmware to latest versions, reset my router, unplugged nad reconnected all physical wires etc etc etc
    Does anyone have a solution?

found the answer in FAQ's.  Thanks
