Constant crashing, can't follow these convoluted instructions
I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but ever since the latest update Firefox just continues crashing, usually in FB or Yahoo Mail. I tried following the instructions on here but keep getting lost. I really just want the old version back. Can anyone help?

I'm having trouble finishing an iBook download. I don't have an ios5 or later and my book is on my bookshelf but is stuck in paused. If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

Constant crashing, can anyone help read the report?

So I've had a macbook pro i5 15" since 2010. No major problems until recently, my computer will crash at random typically when media is involved. At the time of the crash the sound that is playing will repeat like a broken record and the screen will go black.
Example I'll be previewing hires .cr2 and .mov files and my computer will crash. It will also crash when I just have chrome open and I'm browsing the web, I'll copy a link to my clip board go to paste it and crash. Seems random but always happens when I perform an action.
I brought my macbook into the apple store for a diagnostic, they performed a basic one and said my battery had an issue on it and it could be replaced. However the crash happens all the time, my power cord is typically plugged in. The employee wanted me to leave it for a few days to perform an advance diagnostic and stress test, however I can't leave it there for a few days as I use it for work daily.

Probably the most important one to remove is Symantec. Their current Mac products are junk. Scanning your Mac OS looking for Windows viruses is not helpful.
Your version of Pace app is labeled as the snow leopard version. Pace app is installed by makers of expensive software packages who do not trust you not to steal them. You should contact them to find out how to un-Install or get an up-to-date version.
Also, yours is a 15" MacBook Pro 6,2 2010 -- there is a recall program in place for it. It is described in this article:

PRINT out a copy of the article as a hedge against "we never heard of this." and take it to your appointment at the genius bar. Do not leave until they have run the special VST test that ends in a remarkable PASSED or FAILED screen. [The typical "overnight bake" will NOT find this problem].
N.B.> Even if the problem is detected, the time for free replacement may have already passed.
If they refuse to accept it for free repair under the program, the store manager may have additional latitude to help you. You MUST be polite and professional at all times. Apple wants you to be a happy customer. Folks who shout and threaten to sue everyone will never be a happy customer, so all they get is to be shown the door.
If the time has expired and you are not willing to pay for the repair yourself, downgrading Mac OS X will make the problem far less likely to occur. -
Premiere Pro Constant crashing - can't get it to work

The app has been sorta working for months. Now, can't even finish an edit. It won't let me navigate a sequence, play a clip, crash, crahs,freeze,crash.
Have:
Trashed Prefs.
Rebooted so many times.
Repaired permissions.
Would really love to get this fixed as I have Clients/projects/deadlines!!!!!!
Have not installed anything new.

Newbie Here - Constant Crashing & Can't Load Files CS5.5
A complete newbie here....I have started a project, imported clips, everything works great. I edit my sequence, I've got a create basic edited video. I save the project. That was a great days work....
Now everytime I re-open a project, it sits there loading for what feels like eternity. The video never loads into the "program" viewing area, but I can see the clips and a thumbnail of the clips in the Sequence section below.
And then it crashes while trying to play the program, most of the time.
If it doesn't crash it's simply choppy and I cannot play the program still.
However, if I start from sratch, new project, load clips in, everything plays smoothly so I don't believe it is my hardware that's causing the problem. I'm getting tired of re-editing the same clips over and over.
Suggestions?Alright...I have some more info...I looked into the windows event viewer...

Photoshop CS6 constant crashes, can't save to server
We recently upgraded our Adobe Creative Suite from CS3 to CS6. Now I am experiencing issues with Photoshop CS6 I have not seen in previous versions, it seems it cannot save files across a network any longer. If I try to work normally, saving my files to a folder on our server, PS crashes constantly. The new recovery mode is handy but time and space consuming= inefficient for our workflow. My work around is to save files to my Mac, and then copy them to the server later, which is Archaic and also inefficient. When I try to save a PS CS6 .eps to the server, it does not work any longer, I get the message; Program Error or a freeze and crash of Photoshop CS6. Is this a permanent issue or is there someone working to resolve it? I am thinking I will need to go back to using Photoshop CS3 in order to continue working efficiently.
Most of the problems saving across networks are OS bugs and fileserver bugs.
In fact, Apple just fixed a handful of them in 10.8.4 (but sadly, not all of them).
Photoshop CS6 added more error detection for file saving, in response to lost files on fileservers (due to OS bugs). Older versions of Photoshop could silently lose files when saving due to those OS bugs.
Photoshop CC attempts to work around the known OS bugs, and has fallback saving strategies in case we detect a problem while saving the file. (but it took us a long time to understand all the OS bugs related to fileservers) -

Placing your device into recovery (DFU) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.

After a month of using CS6 Master, Acrobat ceased functioning. Many other customers with the same problem suggested deactivating Flash Pro to reactivate Acrobat. After following these instructions, the entire suite was deactivated and now dipalys a message that our trial that will expire in 10 days (in the middle of an upcoming charity event). Is there any way to reactivate CS6? Is the only option to delete all CS programs? Can we download CS6 again with the same product key?
In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

Can anyone help me connect my Macbook Air to a SAMSUNG TV. When I follow the basic instructions (Thunderbolt to HDMI connection) the screen on my computer goes grey and an error message appears inviting me to press any button to restart the Macbook. When I do this nothing happens. Only when I disconnect the computer from the TV does the Macbook allow me to login. The TV does not receive any signal from the Macbook even though I know the HDI port works fine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Do I need to enable something on the Macbook?
An update...
I downloaded Apple's (rather large!) list of software updates today, and I was finally able to recognize my iPod again. I did a restore using the iPod updater from 06-2006, and all seemed to work OK. (I'm afraid to try the new one again!)
Then I tried to re-load my music library from iTunes, and got stuck. It froze up after a while and wouldn't go any further.
When I disconnected my iPod from my computer, I find 2 podcasts and nothing else, though iTunes told me it had transferred 600+ songs. Those 2 podcasts do play fine, and the basic iPod software all seems to be intact.
So -- anyone get through this connection problem and have any ideas to share??

I’m trying to follow HP’s instructions to add a driver for HP Color Laserjet CP 1215 which is connected to my Time Capsule. However, in System Preferences I can’t “add” the printer to the print queue because I don’t have a driver and you have to select a driver before the add button becomes active. Therefore, the Mountain Lion software update doesn’t add driver software for the CP 1215 driver because I was unable to add the printer to the print queue.
This printer doesn't seem to be supported in ML:

You could try the 1515 driver or use the Generic PostScript Printer PPD when adding the printer.

I have a pc and downloaded a trial version of Adobe Acrobat DC to create pdfs. I have followed the simple instructions but what I get is an entire screen shot saved instead of just my document. The instructions seem so simple. I can't imagine what I am doing wrong. Have project I need to submit today. Please help.
Unfortunately, what you describe isn't a common problem. It is pretty surprising, but hopefully it's a simple as clicking or pressing the wrong thing. So, to find this out we need to know, step by step, at the most basic level, what you click or type EXACTLY and what you see. That should let us get to the cause.

How can I sort photos within an event? When I follow the Help instructions, I can sort manually in Photo format, but when I return to Event format, the original order is restored.
Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken.
You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
If you want to manually sort in an Event then you've outgrown Events as an organising tool. Now it's time to look at albums (Where you can manually sort) which are much more flexible than Events as an organising tool.
