Constant Gain in multiple breaks

I would like to find a way to add constant gain in multiple areas on my timeline on all the breaks I have between my clips. Is there a way to select all and paste this in one action? I have added an image that shows where I would like to add the constant gain.

Make constant gain your default audio transition.
Select the audio part of the clips and go to Sequence/apply default transition to selection.

  • Multiple breaks in a report

I am producing a report which has distinct values for all columns except one, for which there are multiple values.
The problem is that all the distinct value columns are displayed multiple times in the report.
I want them only displayed once. I can use "BREAK ON" to make sure the first of these columns only has its value displayed once, but how do I do this to the other columns? Multiple "BREAK ON" statements don't do it.

  • Multiple breaks issue

I have a report with the following layout:
Section on field - vertical table with 4 columns
    Section
    Column1 - Column2 - Column3 - Column4
    Section
    Column1 - Column2 - Column3 - Column4
If I have no breaks in my report, all results are shown correctly (with paging) but no additional white space between the sections
If I add one break (on Column1), my results are still OK (again with paging) but no additional white space between the sections
If I add a second break (on Column2), my results are not OK anymore.  My results are now shown in multiple pages with a lot of white space between the sections.  It is as if my report takes into account the number of vertical rows it can show (but I do not have this behavior when I only have 1 break in my report).
    How can this be solved?
    Kind regards,
    Lieselot

    Hi
The same problem arises when i used two breaks . so what i had done is i took obj from one break and applied as section . And then i applied break on second obj .
    here is an example
    continent  country  state      revenue
    Asia        china        aaa        111
    Asia        india        bbb         123
    europe    london    ccc          131
if you apply breaks on continent and country the problem arises . so what i had done is
    continent
      country  state  revenue
    ex:
    Asia(section)
    country sate  revenue
    china    aaa    111
    india    bbb      123
    europe(section2)
    country sate  revenue
    london   ccc    131
    Hope this helps u

  • Constant Gain transition problem in Premiere Pro CC

If I apply this transition at the begining of an audio clip/musical track, it produces at irritating sound before actual sound or music in final out put. This never happened in Premiere CS6. I have rendered final product in H264 & MPEG2 for broadcast and DVD & Bluray formats. Wether i directly export it from premiere, via abode media encoder problem remains the same. • RT - PID Gains - where and when to use them

The attached is example code for controlling a temperature chamber. The question is where and when to use PID Gains? This code looks as though the PID Gain is used for the variable/parameter temperature (i.e. the temperature is the controlled variable).
So would there be just one PID Gain per controlled variable/parameter (temperature in this case) or would each device controlling temperature in the system get a PID Gain?
In this example, the fan and lamp are controlling the temperature.

I came here for help as this is where NI pointed me in their failure. I did not come here to get my "mental model" attacked.
Can you accept that your model of the system might be wrong, though? In this thread from a few weeks ago, multiple experienced users told you that what you had on your block diagram was an array, and yet you insisted - repeatedly - that what you had was a cluster. Your model was that the item on the block diagram was a cluster, leading to the question "how do I get an index display on it?" which made no sense, because the item was in fact an array. And, when you finally realized you were wrong, you couldn't even admit it or thank the people who pointed out your error - it just "turned out" that the constant wasn't what you thought it was. I am trying to tell you that you are making a similar error here by asking questions about the system that do not correspond to what the system actually does.
"Parameter/variable" isn't clear. There is correct terminology. A PID controller has, as inputs, a process variable and a setpoint. The process variable is the parameter you want to control, such as temperature. The setpoint is the desired value of the process variable. Let's say you do have a temperature control system where there is both a heating system and a cooling system (again, not the situation in your sample code). The two systems could both be driven by PID and share the same setpoint and process variable. Some control options for this system:
    - a single PID controller with one set of gains, where a negative output drives the cooling system and a positive output drives the heater (or some variation on this), if both the heater and chiller have similar performance characteristics.
    - two PID controllers, each with a set of gains, one controlling the heating and one controlling the cooler.
    - a combination of these two: a single controller with gains that are selected based on the setpoint or process variable, which is known as gain scheduling. The advantage to a single controller is that you'd never have the two controllers fighting each other.
You could also have a code that controls several similar processes (for examply, multiple identical temperature chambers). In that situation you could have a single set of PID gains but multiple controllers each with a different setpoint and process variable.
So there's not a simple yes/no answer to when you need a separate set of PID gains or an additional PID controller. It depends on the characteristics and design goals of your system. Does that help?

  • Table breaking across pages

I have a table that flows to 4 pages through threaded frames. Is the only way to make the table different lengths on each page is to adjust the frame height? Or can you insert multiple break characters throughout the table to have it break where you want it?
    Thanks,
    Phil

Why not use a hard row break? It's the Table equivalent of page breaks. You can also set Keep with Next Row, and let these handle unwanted breaks.

Go to settings, safari, and delete history, cache and cookies.
then do a reset, by pressing and holding the sleep button and home buton at the same time until you see a silver apple. DO NOT do anything until you see the apple, ignore the slide to turn off prompt. KEEP PRESSING those buttons until you see the apple then retry.

  • Constant Power Transition Sudden Jump in Levels Bug

Sorry if the discussion's title is confusing – that's honestly the best way I could think of to explain what I'm experiencing. Here's a video screen grab with audio to illustrate further the possible bug I've run into: Premiere CC 2014 Audio Transition Bug - YouTube Do you hear that little jump in volume right as the playhead plays through the transition? It almost sounds as if it's doing the precise opposite of what the fade should be doing.
I'm just trying to add some small, two-frame, Constant Power transitions to some audio tracks to smooth out a cut – one of the oldest tricks in the book. I see this in many different kinds of projects, regardless of size, creation date, types/formats of media used, timeline settings, etc. It mostly just seems random to be honest.
This specific project is very minimal with all 1080p ProRes media being used. No .MTS, .MP4, or anything of the like. The project is all cuts, and no fancy VFX, titles, color grading, dynamic linked clips, etc. It's all quite simple.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance for your help!

I see you have a stereo track.  When I panned my tracks 100 I would get pops and glitches, when I panned them 99 the pops and glitches went away.  Adobe support also told me that Constant Gain is the least buggy of all the transitions, while Constant Power is the most buggy.

  • Multiple Libraries, Archive restore to Lib, a working procedure

The question arose in another thread asking how to restore images saved to DVD (archived) back to LR.
The answer was involved and covered the use of multiple libraries as well.
I thought that giving it a separate thread might be useful to others with similar questions. Note that this is the method I use at this time. No doubt others can offer improvements. Please do so.
As long as you have not modified the status of images in the DB--just changed the location of the actual images--you will have a record of them in the Library where they were originally located.
You can restore images archived to DVD, but it is not a built in LR procedure. The DB will not realize just where you moved the files, but if you try to access one (beyond just looking at the db record of it)it will indicate that it cannot be opened and ask if you wish to locate it. That will be your clue that you must restore the DVD contents (at least the directories that contain the images you want to revisit to your (untouched original) file structure--actually,you could restore them somewhere else, and then use the locate dialogue to point LR to them).
I don't know whether LR can be pointed directly to the DVD or not--I simply haven't tried that varaiant. Maybe someone with more experience can answer that.
Of course, all this should be built in, but it simply isn't at this time.
Further to this, you will note that there is constant reference to multiple libraries, both literal and implied, and that means that you can literally have as many as you want, but again, it is up to the user at this point to devise a way to keep track of them.
Here is the procedure I use:
    1. Move the existing db structure contained in the directory X:\Documents and Settings\(users name)\My Documents\My Pictures\Lightroom in its entirety to a new folder that indicates the nature of the library. For example 'LR Yellowstone assignments Jun 06'
    2. Close LR
    3. To get LR to see the Library named above, open the 'Yellowstone' directory, then the 'Lightroom' directory, and double click on the 'lightroom Database.lrdb' file, and that will start lightroom and it will see that db as its working library for that session. Or in the case of a backup of that particular library, double click the .lrdb with LR shut down.
This procedure for starting LR can be used to open any Library you have created. I work with relatively small libraries because LR bogs down when things get large (relatively), so I have a number of 'working' libraries appropriately named in separate directories--and backup directories for each as well. My work is my bread and butter, so I believe in Redundancy.
The first absolute rule I learned 30 years ago, and it has proved true so many times I can't count them: Never rely on a computer where everything valuable is not backed up VERY FREQUENTLY. EVERYTHING VALUABLE!
I also use a dual boot computer with two exact copies of one another for editing--I can' afford to lose time for an immediate rebuild should my boot partition crash--total redundancy insurance is my name for it.
I have LR on both sides, and can open Libraries created on either side with two mouse clicks. Obviosuly, if you just start LR the usual way, it will see the last library you had open.
    Hope this helps.
By the way, if you do get this to work using a DVD that has the file structure replicated, let us know. I use Archive Creator in my workflow to keep track of archived images at the present time. Very easy way to do it. No doubt there are many workflow variants out there!

Does anyone have a quicker procedure for starting a new Library--my present one is to hide the Library last used in LR, start LR, and choose 'make a new Library' in the pop up requester that comes up when LR discovers its last Library is missing. TIA

  • NIDAQmx equivalent to SCAN_Start() & Gain settings

I have some questions regarding multiple sampling (sequential, not simultaneous) for a 6251 card we have ordered.
    I
am translating my Trad. NIDAQ code into DAQmx. I saw that
you can assign different "gains" to multiple channels within a task by
configuring the same task handle for different physical channels
independently. However, there doesn't seem to be much information on
the timing for sequential sampling that would result from this.
    1. Do the channels get sampled in the order in which they are configured?
    2.
If you choose a particular internal timebase and rate with
DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming, will the sequential channel sampling adhere to
    the same timing?
    3. If the answer to (2) is no, then how does one choose the data format which includes timing information (Waveform format?)?
    4. Is it possible to get unscaled integer output that still contains timing information?
    I
also had a question about the input range settings that have replaced
gain settings. I think the 625x cards use bipolar ranges. If I use
min/max values of, for example, 6.0V/10.0V, would the internal scaling
use +/-10V range or a +/-2V range with some kind of offset?
    Thanks in advance,
    Tanaya

    Hi Tanaya,
You can set up different scan lists by creating global channels that correspond with physical channels in your task.  The following Knowledge Base article addresses this issue.
Can I Sample One Channel Multiple Times Before Switching to the Next Channel In My DAQ Channel List?
However, rather than sampling the same channel multiple times, you would simply be changing the order of your sampled channels by using the global channels.
    I hope this helps!

  • EDL created by Premiere Pro causing import failures.

    Hi,
I am experiencing failures trying to import EDL's created by Premiere Pro CS6 into Speedgrade.
So far I have found 2 scenearios where EDL import will fail with (unsupported edit info:  'W00l' in edit 6) when I try to import the EDL
    1.  playback speed on clip is less than 100%, it will fail to import.
    2.  if 'constant gain' audio effect is applied it will fail to import.
    wondering are these by design?
    Thanks

    Edit:
I opened the .edl file and this is what is on line 35, I redid the export of the edl file, error changed.

  • Does time machine identify any file replications?

    Hi all,
I am wondering whether anyone knows more about this, looked into this.
    - I know that time machine does use links to ensure that files that belong to multiple snapshots (successive snapshots)
are not backed more than once.
However, recently I had to reset my Mac (MacBook Pro) from 10.7.5 to 10.7.4, because there were problems in operation.
(actually with time machine and Spotlight, but I do not think, this is the issue here).
I simply reinstalled the version from about two weeks earlier - in the meantime there were not a large number of changes.
However, the next time the backup was about 80 GB.
This made me wonder under which conditions does TM actually identify a file that it has already backuped before
and it does only need to link it and not back up it up again:
only if it is at the very same position and it has no modified change date (of course also no content change)?
         - this would mean the complete system actully would have been backuped again - not nice, but would roughly fit the size.
    or are there more conditions?
It also seems that any files that are moved lead to a replicate backup. - the file at the new position is treated as a new backup.
Also if temporarily some location was excluded from the backup and then the exclusion is removed, it seems the next backup contains
    an all-fresh replica.
In these and many other cases, a lot of space could be gained, if multiple occurances of files would be treated as a single file with
    a hard-link in the backup.
    a) It seems this is in no way addressed by TM
    b) It seems that this might be compatible with the way TM manages backups. (files can be hardlinks)
Thus, does an utility exist, which is able to identify such copies in a backup and replace the identical copies by a single
copy with hard links? Does someone know more about the inner management of TM-backups? Could this approach work?
I know that this is not directly supported by TM, but I am just curious whether something like this exists, it seems to me
that due to my restoration and the way I handle data (e.g., put everything for working on the desktop - later move it to the
final destination), there would be very many opportunities to thus compress the size of TM-backups.
    Cheers
    Klaus

It says it will notify you after a backup is deleted. That's the only option available. You will have to open the TM backup and see where the file dates you wish to keep are and manually track them if you need TM to store files you deleted from your current system.
If you delete a file from your current system that you need to keep long term, then I wouldn't rely on a TM backup to store it. You should either keep it on the computer and you will always have a TM backup. If you need to clear space on the computer, you should back up important files to another location such as a flash drive or external drive.

  • How to debug a report

    how to debug a report
    i am new to ABAP

    Hi
    <b>ABAP Debugger</b>
The ABAP Debugger is an integrated test tool within the ABAP Workbench. You use it to check the program logic and to find errors in the source code of an ABAP program. In the Debugger, you can step through the source code of a program. The running program is interrupted after each step, allowing you to check its processing logic and the results of individual statements.
As of Release 6.10, you can also run Business Server Pages (BSP) in the debugging mode. You can also display and set breakpoints here. Business Server Pages can be displayed in the Object Navigator when you select an appropriate application under BSP Application.
    <b>Features</b>
The Debugger provides an efficient means of identifying errors in ABAP programs. It contains the following functions:
    •    Ways of starting the Debugger
    •     Choosing different views
    •     Choosing different execution options in the Debugger
    •     Displaying source code in the Debugger
    •               Setting and deleting breakpoints
    •               Setting and deleting watchpoints
    •               Stopping a program at a particular statement or event
    •     Displaying and changing field contents at runtime
    •     Displaying ABAP Objects and references
    •     Displaying and positioning strings
    •     Setting and deleting database locks
    •     Opening the ABAP Editor, or Object Navigator
    •     System settings and runtime warnings
    <b>Starting the Debugger</b>
There are two possible strategies for starting the Debugger in the ABAP Workbench:
    •     By setting breakpoints then running the program
    •     By running the program in debugging mode.
    <b>Setting Breakpoints</b>
A breakpoint is a signal in a line of code that tells the ABAP runtime processor to interrupt the program at that line and start the ABAP Debugger. A distinction is made between static and dynamic breakpoints. For further information about the different types of breakpoints and how to use them, refer to Breakpoints.
Running a Program in Debugging Mode
You can start the Debugger without previously having set breakpoints. This is the best procedure to use when you want to test a program right from the beginning. It is also useful if you do not know the program very well and therefore are not sure where best to set breakpoints. You can start the Debugger as follows:
From the Object Navigator     Select a report or transaction and program and choose Program &#61614;&#61472;Test &#61614;&#61472;Debugging.
From the ABAP Editor     Choose Program &#61614; Execute &#61614; Debugging (or the Debugging pushbutton).
From any screen     Choose System &#61614; Utilities &#61614; Debug ABAP.
From any screen     Enter " /h " in the command field.
    <b>Checking System Programs for Errors</b>
To check a program or program component that is part of the ABAP Workbench (for example, the Screen Painter), you must use the system Debugger. To start the system Debugger, choose System &#61614; Utilities &#61614; Debug system from any screen. To stop the system Debugger, choose Debugger &#61614; Debugging off.
    <b>
    Displaying Program Attributes</b>
You can display the attributes Fixed point arithmetic, System program and Unicode checks active of the program that has just been executed by choosing Goto &#61614; Further Information &#61614; Program Attributes.
    <b>
    Display Modes in the Debugger</b>
When you are debugging a program, there are various display modes that you can use. All of the display modes have the same structure. The top part of the screen displays an extract of the program source code. The bottom part displays the information specifically available in that display mode. There are also pushbuttons on the screen allowing you to switch to the most frequently-used display modes.
go to se38->give ur program name-.execute->give /h at command prompt->execute->now debugging will start->
f5-used for line by line debugging
f6-used for directly executing function modules or performs i.e. control won't go into that block.
    f7-run to cursor
    f8-direct executing.
fileds: here we can check fild values.
click fileds option and double click on the filed or type the filen name beside filed
tables : here we can check the data in the internal table.
click tables option and double click on the internal table.
    Break points:
if you want to debug a particulr part you can use this.
place the cursor at any perform click breakpoint or double click on that line.it will be set.
if /h from report statement it will debug,so for debugging from particular point we will use break points.use f7 to traverse between multiple break points.
Watch-points: In some cases we need to check the data populated in the internal table for eample if we want to check the data of internal table record belongs to 100th vendor we will create watch point for this goto->breakpoints->create watch points->give filed itab-lifnr->=->100.
    debugging procedure:
Use '/H' in the command line and execute the report/program, so that it goes to debugging mode
    2. keep a hard coded break point in the code like BREAK-POINT and it stops there.
3.From the program Menu, Keep the Soft Break-points and do the debugging.

  • Rendering Error Message

In PP CS3, rendering with Adobe Media Encoder, I got this message:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [..\..\Scr\AudioRender\StackAudioBuffer.cpp-58]
Anyone know the cause and how to prevent this error? I'm doing test renders as I add sound effects to something I'm working on.

Not sure where in the Environment these Stacks might be, but I'd wonder if something is not getting in the way regarding your resources, in general. If so, the tips in this ARTICLE might be useful for starting an editing session.
Now, it might be useful to give the full specs. of your Project, and maybe a bit more about the Assets, especially the Audio Assets. You say "WAV," so I will assume that these are PCM/WAV's. Is that correct?
I do not recall of hearing of any issues with regard to Audio Transitions, but might have missed something. I regularly have hundreds of Constant Power Audio Crossfades, and have never gotten any errors. Doesn't mean that Constant Gain Crossfades could not cause such, or that there is not some limit on the number in a Sequence. I've just not encountered this.
Though I doubt that it would figure in here, you might also want to update your audio-card's/chip's driver, just to be sure.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
