Constant Gain transition problem in Premiere Pro CC

If I apply this transition at the begining of an audio clip/musical track, it produces at irritating sound before actual sound or music in final out put. This never happened in Premiere CS6. I have rendered final product in H264 & MPEG2 for broadcast and DVD & Bluray formats. Wether i directly export it from premiere, via abode media encoder problem remains the same. Let me know if you need more related information. Thanks !

  • Strange audio problem in Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi
I have encountered a very strange problem. I am editing a documentary film in Premiere Pro. All material has been shot on the Sony FS 100 camera - imported into PP with the Media Browser. In one interview the last part of a clip has corrupted audio. At one point on the timeline the audio stops playing, and it sounds like a scratch on a vinyl record - two words repeating themselves to the end of the clip (See screenshot of timeline). The images are as they should. When I open the Avchd source clip in VLC the audio is working. When i Import the clip into Final Cut 7 using Log and Transfer the audio is working. My only other option would be that there is a software problem with Premiere Pro CS6. Any ideas of how to fix this issue?
    Version PP: 6.0.1
    Source footage: MPEG-4 AVCHD (1080/25p - Sony FS100)
    Version mac: OS x 10.8
Model Name:     Mac Pro Mid 2010
    Processor Name:     Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed:     2.4 GHz
    Number Of Processors:     2
    Total Number Of Cores:     8
    Memory: 20 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 570 GTX
    Third-party I/O: Matrox MXO2 with Max
    Mercury Playback Engine: Software mode

One similar, potential problem, that can develop, is when the Conforming process is interrupted, before it completes 100%.
A quick way to rule that out, would be to navigate to the Media Cache files, and Delete the CFA and PEK (Waveform Display) for that Clip, outside of Premiere Pro. Then, when you launch PrPro and Open your Project, the program will recreate both of those files. There is a little progress bar, that many do not notice. Let it complete 100%, before even touching the computer. Test.
I hope that it is as simple as that.
    Good luck,

  • I have 64 bit windows 7 and CS4 Production Premium. I have a problem with Premiere Pro CS4, it keeps

I have 64 bit windows 7 and CS4 Production Premium. I have a problem with Premiere Pro CS4, it keeps freezing and Crashing. A simple thing like leaving the project idle for about 15 minutes, you come back and find that it has frozen. Also if you drag out a clip on the timeline you will find that the whole application freezes. Any possible solutions would be much appreciated.

  • Mask problem in Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Hello!
I have a strange problem with the mask tool in Premiere Pro CC 2014, and made this video to explain the problem.
    Hope someone can help me.
    Thanks a lot
    /Per Haar
Mask problem in Premiere Pro CC 2014 - YouTube

But the whole point is that I am not able to place the mask properly because of the strange way it behaving. The purpose of a mask is that it should affect the area it is located above and not somewhere else, and it should also fill the entire mask and not only a spot at the center of the mask area.
It has nothing to do with the order of things, or if I turn up feathering or extract the edge. It's all about the wired way it applys it self.
If I apply and drag the mask to the corner, it should affect the corner and not somewhere near the center of my footage. As it is right now I have to zoom out to 25% and drag the mask way out of frame to affect the corner of my footage.

  • Preview lag problem on Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Hi everything!
I have a big problem on Premiere, when I work on every type of file the Program monitor lag too much.
I can see one frame every few second!
    But the audio work well...
It seems that the computer have not enough power to show the video! And I have not modified or applied effect or transition!
I have got a MacBook Pro Early 2011 with the AMD Radeon HD 6750M (1024 MB) with the OpenCL 1.2 Engine, 2,2 GHz Intel Core i7-2720QM Quad Core (With Multithreading to 8 Core), 16 GB 1666 MHz RAM, with a Magnetic Disc (No SSD). The Machintosh is equipped by OS X Yosemite, reinstalled last week to try to fix the problem.
Before installing the CC 2014 I used the CS6 for 2 years without problem.
In Project Settings i have active the Mercury Playback Engine, and the other settings are not changed!
Someone had the same problem? Or know how to resolve? Because is not easy to use in this condition!
    Thank you very much, Andrea.

    Hi!
    Thank you for the answer!
My source footage is 1080 50p AVCHD (from Panasonic AC-AG160AEJ), but the problem is on every type of footage, because I tried with a 720 50p from a Canon EOS 6D and the ProRes 422 1080 25p of BlackMagic Production Camera 4K.
The problem doesn't change with the weight of the footage, with all of the footage type the problem is the same.
I use the original 7200rpm 750GB hard disk connected with the SATA interface. I think that is SATA 3 at 6 Gbit/s.
I have tried with all playback resolution possible (Full, 1/4 and 1/8) but the problem doesn't change, even if I change the resolution.
Unfortunately with the format of last week I lost the CS6...
I'm writing from Italy and I use the PAL standard!
I attach a video of the problem and a picture of my graphic card, if they are usefull!

  • Problem exporting Premiere Pro CS5.5 projects with still photos and h264 video

I'm a longtime Final Cut Pro user and evaluating Premiere Pro for my workplace before making the switch. I have been running into several problems when I try to export raw h264 video from a Canon 5D combined with still images on a Macbook Pro. Either I receive an error in Premiere Pro saying, "Error compiling movie. Unknown error." or Adobe Media Encoder appears to continue exporting (the time elapsed bar continues to move) even though the time remaining stays frozen once it hits a photo it doesn't like. It's not always the same photo.
I've spent several days trying to troubleshoot the issue, including batch resizing all photos to 1920 wide (to match the video settings), and it hasn't work. The sequence is currently set to render in ProRes 422. I've also tried HDV 1080p30 and MPEG-4. I cannot find any consistency with the errors. Occasionally an export will work, but every couple still photos will look like green static. I've also tried batch converting the photos in Photoshop to PNG and GIF without any luck. I'd include my default export settings but I've pretty much tried it all. I'm just trying to figure out what's causing the error since the message is very vague.
    Couple other notes:
There's plenty hard drive space available for export
I can export the DSLR video (h264, 1080p30) without still photos no problem
I can edit the same still photos and video in Final Cut with no problem
I have the same problem with auto-save on and off
I tried re-installing production premium, deleting the preference files and cleaning the media cache - no luck. I also tried exporting under a different user account and it wouldn't work.
This is driving absolutely crazy. I'm affraid to use PP on deadline because I don't see any issues until it's time to export. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    - McKenna

Thanks Todd. Your questions were actually very helpful. I'm using a Macbook Pro with an Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics card. I'm running OS 10.6.8 and have the latest updates installed.
When I disabled the GPU acceleration, I was able to render and export without a problem. The problem only occured when using the GPU acceleration and mixing h264 with still photos. It also affected both rendered previews and the final export. I'm assuming its a support issue with the graphics cards, but it would be great if you had any other ideas. I appreciate your help.

  • Update problems with Premiere Pro and AAM (Adobe Applications Manager)

I am using Premiere Pro CS6 via a Creative Cloud subscription and am having a problem. AAM (Adobe Application Manager) says that Premiere Pro needs updating to 6.0.1 but if I run Premiere Pro and check it's version, it says it already is 6.0.1 - so how would AAM fail to understand that PP is at 6.0.1 when PP knows that it is already there??
So guess the real question is what does AAM use to decide what version the different apps are at and then tell you which updates you need to install? And how might it have gotten confused?
And most of all, how to "un-confuse" AAM?
Please don't suggest uninstalling PP - because with CC and AAM, then you have to re-download the entire app once again from inside AAM - it doesn't keep the install media around after it has installed it, but insists on downloading the same version yet again, and taking another hour or two to get back to where it was the last time it downloaded the app.
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks ...
    -Bob

    Hi Bob,
I was having a similar issue.
I was getting a dialog, when exporting from Pr informing me that there was a codec update available for Pr, and that I should update via help. But the AAM kept telling me that everything was up to date.
I just tried to repeat the problem to respond to your post ... and it isn't happening anymore!
It may not be happening anymore because I opened Adobe Media Encoder CS6 outside of Pr this morning. That is all I have done outside my normal rutine since the last time I had the annoying dialog...
    Kind of grabbing at straws.
    Cheers,
    DK

  • Problem opening Premiere Pro project after upgrades to 4.1.0 and Shockwave

I cannot open my project. During this project which has many CS4 AfterEffect pieces and with the Premiere Pro 4.1.0 upgrade and with the installation of the Shockware and updating the Flash Player to 10.0., I am no longer able to open my project!! I have been working on my problem for a many days/weeks - talked to Tech Spt twice - and followed instructions - the KB408983 - and when they told me to uninstall my QuickTime and install the new Quicktime, this caused other problems later with Aftereffects for some reason...recreated the Plug-ins, but nothing worked - maybe all this created more problems.  When I finally found files in the AutoSave folders, they all opened last week but now, they are in the same situation - cannot open any of them now!!!  I finally found one file in the TEMP folder and was able to open it and tested each file which I had imported initially - then found one file that may have corrupted during this Update procedures - so I removed it and inserted another AAE file - but now, none will work after I initiated the KB408983 steps!!!   So now, I no longer have any files that I can open.
Problem:  Premiere Pro opens my project - goes thru the process of loading but gets stuck about 3/4 length - it will sit there forever, without any error message!!!  I left it for 2 1/2 hours and it just hung in there.  So, I believe now that with all these updates and changes to the Adobe products, I may have corrupted some of the AfterEffects files or maybe other files? I have worked extensively on this project and need desparately to open it so I can finish it!!
Last month, I had similar problems and Tech Spt asked me to uninstall CS4 Premium Production software and reinstall it.  During the uninstall process, it wiped out my CD Rom driver so I was unable to Re-install my CS4 software - finally found out how to fix the CD Rom corruption in my Register and was able to reload and it worked at that time but now, I cannot open it.  So, all this has been a nightmare.....!!
    Does anyone have any solution?????
    Thank you!
    Jean

It sounds like your app isn't activated anymore.  When it's in that state, the MPEG codec options aren't available, and unfortunately the RED presets
use the MPEG codec for preview rendering (at least on HD sized presets).  So the upshot is that when the MPEG codec isn't available, the RED presets
    fail to load.
Reactivating your serial number should fix the problem.  Or if it doesn't, you'll need to sort out with tech support why your MPEG isn't coming back online.  (You're probably looking at more reinstallation fun unfortunately )

  • Problem with Premiere Pro CC _ Will not start

I have the following problem, which I hope you can solve for me.  There are written the following text when the program started up:
"" Premiere Pro CC has stopped working and the Adobe Media Encoder has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows closes the program and notifies you if a solution is available. ""
What is wrong, can I possibly do anything to get it to work properly again?

  • Exporting problem with premiere pro

Hi again everyone.  This time Im having a problem exporting out of Premiere Pro.  I have noticed it trying 2 different applications.
1st, when I get the error saying that my video is to big to fit on a dvd, I go back and select SETTINGS and normally downsize it, however,
when I tried to do that after I selected SETTINGS, the program froze up and wherever I clicked it just beeped, even if I tried to close
Premiere.  It does the same thing when I try to Export with ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER.  Thats what I use to render video for youtube and
    such.
I don't recall making any changes to any settings that would cause these problems.  Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Tonya

already did that, its the only way to get it going again.  Have rebooted multiple times.  Its
almost as if the window should be coming up, but isn't, it just freezes the rest of the program
Im really afraid to uninstall and reinstall the whole program, because someone else helped me
set it up and I don't know if Id get all the setting right again.

  • Problem with Premiere Pro CS5 project files bloating

Has anyone had the same problem that we're experiencing? - we have Production Premium CS5 installed on a machine with Win 7 Pro x64. We have three separate edits all of which are experiencing bloating of the .prproj project file. Often this bloating seems to occur when no importing of assets has occured, just changes in the edits. A project which started at 5mb has bloated to 1.5GB and we can no longer save it. Another project has bloated to 200mb and continues to grow in size. We have not brought in any weird assets, although we are using hi-def footage.
We upgrade from CS3 and never had this problem using Premiere CS3.
We can't fix the problem by 'remove unused footage' as this doesn't reduce the project size, although it does remove the unused footage.
We can't fix it by importing the project into a new clean project as the problem and huge file size just comes with
We can't fix it by using the project manager to collect up the project as it requires to save before collecting and the problem files can't be saved.
A couple of points to note - these projects were originally on Premiere CS3 and were upgraded to CS5. The footage is either Sony EX3 or Canon 5D - both HD.
The machine it's running on has 8gb of RAM.
Currently the projects I'm working on are gradually grinding to a hold with no way to make the files usable again.
Any suggestions are greatfully recieved as I'm at a loss. I've reported this to Adobe, and will report back if I get anything useful.
    thanks.

    TClark,
I'm shocked that you are having the same problem on a mac. This seems to suggest a problem that could be really widespread. You've also beaten my 1.5GB file bloat size.
What the hell is going on with Premiere Pro? I'm surprised to have heard nothing from Adobe either via my support request or on this forum, save for Jeremys useful work around, considering how serious an issue this is.
I've had to break all the projects I'm working on which have multiple timelines in each project into a new seperate project per timeline in order to reduce the file bloat problem and reduce the risk of me loosing all my work in one go on a bloated file.
Adobe - we could do with some help here. It's frustrating to have spent so much money on licences for this software only to have virtually non-existant help when a serious flaw in the software manifests itself.
    Nat
Yeah...it's really a bummer that no one is acknowledging it.  It's pretty serious!

  • Problems with Premiere Pro- Quits unexpectedly

    Hello,
I have several key problems on Adobe Premiere CS6"
The following problem happens when I not only edit, but save, and export my project into a video file.
"Adobe Premiere Elements Has Encountered A Problem and Needs To Close - We Are Sorry For The Inconvenience"
I dunno how to solve or prevent this issue. Is it that my Mac lacks to power to edit, or are any of my settings off?
I don't think its Premiere that's the problem...
I'm guessing that either my preferences are wrong, or I'm just using too much or too large of footage to use on my sequences.
The camera I use is a "Sony HandyCam HDR- PJ650V", and the average video file runs around 1GB.
The media format is ".mts" and the only software that can understand it is Adobe After Effects or Premiere.
I've already lost so much time trying to figure out this problem, also hoping that same generic error message doesn't appear and crash Premiere again.
    It always pops up!
    Please help!!
This error message appears randomly through the following tasks:
    1. Saving the project- It crashes w/ the same message after I click the save button.
    2. Scrolling/previewing my project on the timeline- It might be processing or a GPU disfunction, but After Effects CS6 seens to be running smoothly enough, along with other somewhat hefty programs, like Photoshop. given the graphical prowess it requires.
    3. Rendering the sequence, or composition (AE CS6)- I export my projects with the following settings:
    Format: H.264
    Preset: Youtube HD 1080p, 25
Audio format: AAC, 48000 Hz, Stereo
Also one thing to note, is the GPU is Mercury Accelerater engine, and I cannot change that to running off the CPU, not that GPU

  • Problems with Premiere Pro cc2014 on Yosemite

Macbook pro early 2013 2.7ghz, 16mb ram, SSD system drive, OS 10.10
    Issues:
    1) Premiere drops video in program monitor while editing. Anything will make it happen, changing settings, playing etc. This also happens in source monitor but less frequently.
    2) Severe graphic related screen tearup and garbage.
    3) Application crashes and OS kernel panic
    Remedies tried:
I switched between software only and cuda in the project settings to get the video signal back, I stripped the timeline of FX until I was close to export (extremely inefficient). At first I thought it was my graphics card failing. I had had a much better experience on Mavericks. I took the computer to Apple. They replaced the logic board and the screen. When I got it back I did a clean install of Yosemite. Loaded my work files manually, every app fresh off the the internet, repaired permissions. Depressingly the issues continued, initially no kernel panics, but they have returned as well. I did a service call with AdobeTech. He went through my system online, trashed preferences etc. I had forgotten to set the hard to never sleep and turn off automatic graphics switching, but after this the problems continued unabated. Today I had 3 kernel panics. I went to Apple store again and we looked at the reports I had saved on the kernel panics. The tech picked up that the cause seemed to be "BSD process name corresponding to current thread: WindowServer", this being Adobe Creative Cloud. I was going to have them reinstall Mavericks for me but I had made the mistake of encrypting my drive when installing Yosemite (this is the default) I have now run the computer with Adobe CC off, and edited for an hour. VIDEO DROPPING HAPPENS ONLY OCCASIONALLY NOW. So this is at least part of the smoking gun.
My feelings. I am a seasoned editor. I ran a CMX6000 disc based NLE before Avid was invented, I went through Avid's development and FCPs development. I made living from FCP version 2. I am proficient on Avid's NLE's, including DS and this experience reminds me of the 90's and early 2000 when NLE's were being developed and we were the guinea pigs. I do not expect to go through this again! Unfortunately I am operating on one computer at the moment. I could, and had intended to replace  the other machine but I am now on the fence. Maybe it's time I embraced FCPX. The last 3 weeks have been very taxing. I know that not everyone is having this experience, and I am an idiot for installing to Yosemite (after reading Adobe's post that Premiere Pro cc and the rest of their suite off apps had been thoroughly tested on Yosemite and were compatible). I am not even sure if I should go back to Mavericks. I can and I will, but I would like a solution here, I'm trying to run a business and I don't want to stumble around in the dark around any more.

    Hello WAP,
I have none of these issues, but I am on OS X 10.8.5 for my personal projects. I do suspect that OS X might be at the root of your troubles. Can you check my blog post on the topic of OS X resetting permissions in certain Adobe folders?
Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
The other issue customers have been having is updating project from 8.0 to 8.1. If you have done so, move back to 8.0 until your project is complete. Test 8.1 with a new project and media.
BTW, I have a similar glide path in my career as yours. An old CMX guy too.
    Thanks,
    Kevin
