Constant Loading Screen

Hi I'm hoping someone can help.
When I get into app world and try to download anything I click download and then put in my email address and password it then verifies that and goes to a loading screen where it will not go any further.
I have been in contact with vodaphone and they say it was not their problem as I am having no problems with my internet connection and my blackberry messenger.
My mum and 2 of my friends have blackberry's and they have not had any problems nor can they fix it ???

I am having exactly the same problem, have tried deleting it from my phone and downloading it again. Have jumped through every hoop it's asked me to and it still won't work!! Infuriating :-( have you had any luck with getting it sorted?

  • Applet loading screen

    Hi guys,
    I have searched the forums but can't find a suitable solution to my problem.
    I am using the following Applet to hide the standard java loading screen. My main applet consists of 3 jar files which are all about 300k. I would like to present a progress bar to the user while they download but can't find anyway to get this information. For example, number of bytes to download and the amount downloaded.
    public class AppletLoader extends Applet implements Runnable, AppletStub {
        //the loading thread
        private Thread _thread;
        //the applet to load name
        private String _appletName;
        //the applet to load
        private Applet _applet;
        //the loading screen
        private LoadingScreen _screen;
        //the loaded flag
        private boolean _loaded;
        public void init() {
            initApplet();
            //install the look and feel
            try {
                ChessLookAndFeel.install();
            } catch (Exception exp) {
                //print the error
                ExceptionUtil.printException(exp);
            //create the screen
            _screen = new LoadingScreen(this);
            //get the name of the applet to load
            _appletName = getParameter("applet");
            add(_screen);
            //if there isn't one, print a message
            if (_appletName == null) {
                _screen.setErrorMessage("No applet to load.");
            } else {
                _screen.setLoadingMessage("Please wait - loading Titan Chess");
        public void initApplet() {
            setSize(new Dimension(906, 500));
        public void run() {
            //if there's no applet to load, don't bother loading it!
            if (_appletName == null) return;
            try {
                //get the class for the applet we want
                Class applet_class = Class.forName(_appletName);
                //create an instance of the applet
                _applet = (Applet)applet_class.newInstance();
                //set the applet's stub - this will allow the real applet to use
                //this applet's document base, code base, and applet context.
                _applet.setStub(this);
                //remove the old message and put the applet up
                remove(_screen);
                setLayout(new GridLayout(1, 0));
                //add the real applet as a child component
                add(_applet);
                //crank up the real applet
                _applet.init();
                _applet.start();
            } catch (Exception exp) {
                //print the error
                ExceptionUtil.printException(exp);
                //if we got an error anywhere, print it
                _screen.setErrorMessage("Error loading Titan Chess");
            _loaded = true;
            //make sure the screen layout is redrawn
            validate();
        public void start() {
            _thread = new Thread(this);
            _thread.start();
        //the following methods delegate applet methods to the loaded applet.
        public void stop() {
            if (_loaded) {
                _applet.stop();
            } else {
                _thread.stop();
                _thread = null;
        public void destroy() {
            if (_loaded) {
                _applet.destroy();
        public void appletResize(int width, int height) {
            //resize the applet
            resize(width, height);
    }I have seen examples where they load each class but my applet is packaged in jar files (which download much quicker and are signable).
    Any ideas?

    to do that, make the VERY first thing you do in init() be to create a BufferedImage and draw your message on it. Then make your paint message look like this:public void paint(Graphics g) {
         g.drawImage(yourImageName, 0, 0, null);
    //and
    public void update(Graphics g) {
         paint(g);
    }Then call update(getGraphics() and that will put it on the screen, and it will redraw itself even if someone messes with the screen or hides it then comes back. You'll also probably want to have a flag "ifLoading" or something to check to see if paint() should actually do anything, because if you're not loading that stuff, you probably have a game loop running during which you're probably trying to keep a constant framerate. If you're doing that, you don't want paint() to do anything because it'll get in your way.

  • Unable to boot Z10, stuck on loading screen at 99% after a few hours.

    Hi, I am unable to boot Z10, stuck on loading screen at 99% after a few hours. I did not try to update, nor load any other OS versions.  Running a Bell Canada 10.1.  Tried to pull battery, leave phone boot for 5 hours, still stuck on 99%.  I tried plugging it in BB Link and computer will not recognize it.

  • My White Macbook is stuck at the loading screen, and disk utility, safe mode doesn't work either. What should I do?

    I went on vacation a few days ago and in El Salvador, they have this mobile broadband sticks. Well, I was using one until it gave me a network error. After that, it shut down my computer entirely. The first time it happened, I didn't think much of it. I took the battery out and put it back in for it could work. It happened another two times, and after the third time, my MacBook stays stuck at the loading screen, and it will take 5-10 minutes on that screen, before it shuts down, or it wouldn't turn on at all. I've tried booting into safe mode, but it appears to not boot into it. I've tried resetting the Pram, and using disk utility, but that still won't work. I don't know what else to do to make it boot into  OS X  Lion.
    I'm an AP student, and the majority of my work is in that computer, and it is very important! What can I do? Not only that, but I enter school in a few weeks and I need the AP work by the time I enter.
    What can I do? Can someone help?
    Thanks

    Reinstalling Lion Without the Installer
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alterhatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

    My iPhone 3Gs randomly shutting off at any given moment. I could be in the middle of a text, a call, or doing some games and it'll just shut off.
    Now here's the unique part. When I go to turn it back on, the apple loading screen pops up but it takes somewhere from 3-5 minutes for it to boot up. Then the lock screen with the time and whatnot shows up. From this point on, my iPhone has a chance to shut itself back down and I have to repeat the process over and over again. Most of the time the lock screen flashes and then goes straight to black (shut down) but sometimes I can make it a few menus before it shuts itself down.
    The only way to keep the iPhone on is to plug it into a charger of any sort. I'm fairly certain it isn't a battery charge issue because this happens at any % of power and sometimes my iPhone can use up all of its charge and not have this happen while other times I can be at 90-100% and it could randomly shut itself down. What can I do in this situation if some has some solution to this problem please let me know on [email protected] Thanks!

    Not sure if this Term is Relevant towards an iPhone but, my iPhone won't Post unless if it's plugged into a Charger.

  • How to clear grey loading screen and animated gif (Dynamic Action with "Show Processing" on submit)

    APEX V4.2.3
    DB 11.2
    I have a classic report on page 1.  I have a region button called "Export" (defined by a submit dynamic action with "show processing=Yes") that submits the page and then via a branch directs me to page 2 which has a slightly different version of the report on page 1 (i.e. no breaks) which I want to capture as a CSV export.  Therefore I've set the report template on page 2 to " Export:CSV".
    Now when I click on the page 1 export button the grey screen and loading gif appears indicating that the report is executing and then as expected, page 2 doesn't appear but instead the standard open/save window's dialog box appears asking to open or save the generated CSV file.  All good..but the grey loading screen remains.  How do I clear this loading screen and get back to the context of page 1 ?
    thanks in advance
    PaulP

    Hi PPlatt,
    We would love to help but you left out one crucial part of the puzzle: namely how does your CSV report get exported. With the way it is setup (a redirect to another page), I'm going to assume you do that because you have some PL/SQL on that page that prints the CSV.
    Now there are two questions that are crucial here:
    - How do we stop the icon from bugging us on the screen
    - How do we communicate with the browser that it should no longer display the loading icon
    The first question is rather easy, two simply lines of codes can do that:
    $('#apex_wait_popup').hide();
    $('#apex_wait_overlay').hide();
    But when do we use this code? Quite simple when the document is downloaded. When is it downloaded? At the end of the PL/SQL code that prints the document to the browser.
    What you could do is at the end of that code give an application item a certain value. For example :AI_PRINTED := 'Y';
    Then all you need to do is let the browser ask for the value. You could do this by using JavaScript to continuously fire AJAX to the server using a JS timing event:
    http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_timing.asp
    Better would be a Server send event, but since you left out another crucial piece of information: your browser, I will not go deeper into this.
    Start this timing event when someone asks for the document, and end it as soon as the process returns that :AI_PRINTED equals 'Y'.
    Despite the lack of information, I hope I have given, or at least inspired you to get to the solution.
    Regards,
    Joni

  • Error message: "Unable to load screen : root. ChangeLocation.ChangeLocationStart"

    I paid for & downloaded zagat to go app from handmark & it fails to run on my bb tour. Here is the error message I keep getting on my bb tour - "Unable to load screen :  root. • I tried to update my iphone 4 to i07 but it's now just stuck at half way on the loading screen and I cannot get it to do anything

    So like a moron, I made the mistake of finally updating my Iphone 4's OS to the new one that Apple has been bugging the crap out of me about for months now. The problem is, my phone is now stuck on the loading screen and I cannot get it to do *ANYTHING*. It won't connect to my PC, Itunes won't let me get on it without the pin lock being entered on the phone which I CANNOT do because the phone is stuck on the update screen.. and Apple won't talk to me for help because I cannot get them the serial number which I CANNOT do because my phone is stuck on the update screen!
    Is there no way to just take the battery out or something? I looked for screws but they seem to be proprietary (because of course they are, because Apple) How do I force it to get off the update screen?!

    If you open it to take out the battery from the iPhone then you forfeit all service for whatever reason from Apple in the future.
    Have you attempt to connect it to your computer and then restore it from iTunes on your computer?

  • How do I make a loading screen like this one?

    Okay, so for my loading screen, I want a block to appear for every 10% loaded (so they'red be 10 blocks at the end).  I know how to make a loading bar, but I'm having trouble making this one.  Any help? Thanks.

    There are probably a number of ways to approach it.  One would be to have a movieclip with 10 frames where a new box is manually added in each frame.  You use the percent loaded information to tell that movieclip which frame to go to.

  • Is there a way to speed up the "Java Loading" screen time?

    Hi.
    I'm having a big problem with that. I'm running the JRE 1.6u3 on Windows XP SP 2, on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 3800+ (2GB of RAM), and the "Java Loading" screen time of web started apps is too high (about 15 seconds when I just restarted the pc, and 10 seconds after the first load... is that right?).
    What Web Start do when it is "loading" ? The loading time of a standard client VM is pretty faster (like, uh, 1/4 second?).
    Thanks.
    Hidralisk

    The Java Loading splash is only shown untill the Main class of java web start is invoked and can put up the download progress dialog. I don't know why it would be so sow, but this should be improved by the Java Quick Start featurew put in jdk 6u10 (see http://download.java.net/jdk6/)
    the bug 6506138 has been escallated and is being vigorously investigated. (it would probably pertain more to the time durring which the download progress window is shown or beyond)
