Constant signing in to iTunes and the AppStore

I don't know what I did--maybe it was a week or so ago when I purchased something and the iPad got a little wonky on me as I was entering my password and went back to the home screen--but now every time I enter the AppStore, or launch iTunes, I have to enter my username and password. How do I turn this off?

Hi Rocky,
Tap Settings on the Home Screen. Then tap Mail/Contacts/Calendars.
Tap your Account on the right. In the dialog box tap "Account Info"
Enter your AppleID name if necessary, then type in the password.
Tap done.

Guess its not down but my iPhone needed a repar session software wise. After a re installation stuff worked fine. But this is the second time this week!
Does anybody else have the same problems?
- Apps won'tt install or update, only an empty progess bar..
- itunes downloads wont start

I keep downloading useless apps, so I made my own Apple ID.

Nothing would be deleted, but if you have enabled Automatic Downloads in Settings>iTunes & App Store, or have downloaded any previous purchases with your existing ID, you will not be able to do this with a new ID for 90 days from the time you originally enabled Automatic Downloads or downloaded a previous purchase. You can purchase new media, you just can't redownload it until this time has elapsed. There's more details on this restriction here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627.
Also, purchases are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. Even if you stop using the ID for new purchasing, you will still be prompted for the password for this ID when updating apps purchased with this ID.

I'm having the exact same problem. I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen. I can get my library content but the store is a no go. Is there any one out there with a solution?

Thank you very much for your answer! I have 2 Apple ID, and I have tried both of them and the problem continues. I founf several peolpe with the same problem in apple communities foruns and that really seems that there is some problem. I addded the links for 2 of those discussions.

I have plenty of room for them on the Air. We are taking a long flight this week, and I wanted to have something new to watch. I've read through lots of threads on this but I can't seem to find a good solution that I haven't tried.
If I can get them to download them on my iMac computer, can I then transfer them to my iPad? How is this done? (Please pardon an older lady's ignorance, and thank you for any assistance!)

You have to sign into your account and verify that you have a valid payment mendo specified in your account

Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them originally. It will always ask you for your old ID if they were purchased using that ID. The only way to stop this would be to delete them from your phone and your iTunes library, then repurchase them using your current ID.

This just started happening.. I open Itunes and the little round rainbow loading indicator just goes on and doesnt stop.. My itunes wont function.. It gets stuck. Then i have to force quit.. I tried to shut down and restart. also reloaded the latest itune

i use an external HD and thats fine.. all files are in there. But I have no idea why my itunes app is getting stuck.

HT4623 I bought an ipad from a friend and I was trying to put in apps and they won't go in because it says I need higher than the 5.1.1. I check for updates and it tells me it is up to date on both itunes and the ipad itself. I have latest itunes.

I have been trying to put in new apps but it says I need a newer ios version. It currently has 5.1.1. I have tried resetting it back to factory. I have tried updating it through itunes and the ipad and they both say it is up to date.

The original iPad can't be updated past 5.1.1.
