Constantly have to reinstall latest flash player

I have a pain-in-the-***-problem!
I'm running the latest Internet Explorer (IE8) and the latest
flash player (on a Vista(32) platform).
Everytime my computer has been turned off, I have to
reinstall flash player eventhough it's activated, enabled, run as
administrator and everything else that normally may cause it not to
function.
Not only do I have to reinstall FP, but I also have to
uninstall it first before reinstall!!
Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

I use the uninstaller also but after restarting my computer
the flash player is no longer installed anymore.
I'm just using Firefox and Chrome until I can get this
working on IE 8.

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. You will either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or use the DNG converter to create digital negative copies that can be used with Lightroom 4.

  • Why do I constantly have to keep downloading Flash Player?

Why do I constantly have to download Flash Player?

If Flash Player is not installed, you need to download and install the same.
In the following page, you have step-by-step information on how to do that: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_heading_5
If you have already done that, ensure the following:
    ActiveX Filtering is disabled:

  • I have to reinstall the flash player everytime I reboot

Once again I'm having trouble with the flash plugin. Here's my previous question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/979513?esab=a&s=&r=0&as=s I had thought I found a way to keep flash from bugging up again by simply going back to an old version and waiting for another update. Unfortunately even that isn't working any more. Now every time I reboot my system the flash player plugin no longer works. It's their on the list and it says it's active. I've updated to the newest one and I've check to see if it's in conflict with any of the other plugins, it's not. I've uninstalled and reinstall both old and new versions but nothing seems to stick now.
I may like Firefox's set up better but this is getting really annoying.

Okay, do you know why both seamonkey and opera both have flash working as well? Firefox seems to be the only one that's having these issues consistently. I've also noticed that I need to do a manual install of flash rather than use the firefox plugin updater.
And yes I do use the start menu shut down.

  • I have to reinstall/update Flash player everyday?

Hi I am a Mac user (MAC OSX 10.6.8) and I use safari as my main browser. (safari version 5.1.5)
The thing is when I try to watch youtube videos, at least once a day my video just turns black, or it says 'plug-in failure'.
I found that the solution for this is updating the flash player, but since this happens everyday I am updating flash everyday.
Everytime I update flash player, the videos work fine.
Last time I installed Flash player was yesterday, the latest version possible, and yet the problem occurred just now.
When I install flash player, I do not uninstall previous versions , simply because it worked fine with them.
Could that be the main problem?
I'm just getting really sick of updating this everyday, force quitting all my browsers and losing all the tabs I had opened.
    Please help?

You don't need to uninstall Flash Player before installing a new version. Because you install Flash Player everyday, it won't be an update. You are simply installing the version that's already present in your machine.
Could you please go to the following page and let us know the Flash Player version displayed there? https://help-internal.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player. html
Does this issue happen only with specific sites or with all the sites?
    Thanks,
    Suni

  • Having to reinstall Adobe Flash Player over and over and over....,

I've ignored this problem for a while now and I really want to get this over with. It's really starting to piss me off.
So I have to download adobe flash player over and over because Steam tells me "You will need to Install the latest Flash plugin to view this page properly" (I'd like flash player to work so I could watch trailers from the Steam window instead of searching up trailers on my browser.) So I do and maybe in about a few days I have to reinstall another flash player. But what's weird is when Steam's flash player doesn't work I can watch Youtube videos just find on Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Try uninstalling it this way first.

  • Just reinstalled newest iTunes and still the program fails to open.  Am using Windows 7 starter.  It seems that the failure to open iTunes happened just after I updated to the latest flash player.  Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

iTunes will not open.  I am using Windows 7, and have had no trouble with iTunes until yesterday.  The only think I did yesterday was install an upgrade to the latest Flash player.  From then on, even after deleting and reinstalling iTunes, it still does NOTHING after the screen authorizing iTunes to make changes to the hard drive.  I have tried going to the applications and ending process.  I've also tried going to Control panel - and tried to repair the program.
If I don't get some help here... iTunes is toast to me.
    Thanks,
    GaryFromSeffner

    Repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the menu bar, quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
If that didn't help, install the v10.5.8 combo update.

    Hi Anne,
Your version of Safari is still supported.  Please see Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs for supported OS and browsers.
If the Flash Player plugin is in the Plug-ins (disabled) folder it's because it's an older version that Apple has disabled in Safari.  This has nothing to do with whether or not Flash Player supports the browser.
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i click on flash player itself i am told there is no application to open it."  Flash Player.plugin only works in the browser to view Flash content in the browser.  The plugin does not open files outside of the browser.  If you have SWF files you'd like to view outside of the browser, then you'll need the Flash Player projector. However, based on your previous comments this doesn't appear to be what you are trying to do.
Google Chrome does embed Flash Player in it, while Firefox does not.   Mozilla has also recently started blocking older versions of Flash Player in Firefox similar to what Apple is doing in Safari.
Following the 'clean install' instructions should result in you having the latest version of Flash Player installed that will not be blocked by the browser.

This is not a message that Adobe is providing, and I recommend that you not click on the link. It sounds as though you might have malware on your computer.

It is best to go to the source, Adobe, to get their software and updates. Sometimes malware can infect sites with messages that appear legitimate, but will, instead, install malware/virus/trojan on your system. Read the following carefully to install and/or update Adobe Flash.
There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only and a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox. On a Windows system, you should always update both individually. '''''You do not have Adobe Flash (aka "Shockwave Flash" in Add-ons > Plugins) installed.'''''
#'''Using Firefox''', go to the following direct download link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
#When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
#Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
#*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
#*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
#Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
#Direct link ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''': http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
