Consumption movement types

Hi Greetings
I need to develop a Z report for calculating the consumption for a given period.
Can you please suggest me the list of movement types to be considered for calculating the stock consumption for the given period.
Gobinathan G

  • MC.A Consumption Movement Types

    Hi,
Where can I see the movement types which are considered for material consumption value in the report MC.A?
Is there a way I can exclude some movement types?
    Sincerely,
    Puja

Consumption posting is controlled through table T156, field KZVBU (consumption posting) and KZSTR (statistics relevance). KZVBU controlled whether a movement type is considered planned or unplanned withdrawal. You can configure these fields through transaction OMJJ and double click on specific movement type.
Please note that the once you made the configuration change, the rule will be applied on future posting. It will not recalculate existing material document, unless you rebuild the info structure S031.

  • Info Structure S031 - Information on movement type categories

How can I find out the movement type categories for the S031 info structure? For instance what movement types add to the "Goods receipt" total or the "Goods issue" total.   Also, how do you "switch off the updating process for specific, individual movements" as mentioned in the SAP documentation below.
    The SAP documentation says:
"Goods movements are divided into the following types:
    Goods receipt
    Goods issue
    Stock transfer
    Transfer posting
    Inventory differences
You can switch off the updating process for specific, individual movement types in inventory management or in one of the subsequent applications in the logistics chain."

    Hi Sherry,
I had similar requirement. You have two options:
    1. Just as you've known you can use the field "Statistically relevant".
With this indicator, you control whether a movement type is statistically relevant for Inventory Controlling or not.
In the standard system, all movement types are set in such a way that all material movements for the valuated stock and for the vendor consignment stock are updated.
    2. You can define by statistic group:
As of Release 3.0C, there is a customer-specific enhancement that enables you to define a maximum of 4 statistics groups for each movement type. The name for the statistics group has four digits and is freely definable. With the help of the statistics group, you can individually update key figures of Inventory Controlling.
Example: Key figure Consumption and Range of coverage
In table T156, the movement types are characterized as relevant to consumption. Consumption is correspondingly updated in Inventory Controlling. In the information system, it can be useful for the user to interpret issue quantities (that is actually no consumption) as consumption in order to calculate the range of coverage of the material.
Example: A material is always transported into another plant by stock transfer. In the issuing plant, no range of coverage can be calculated because the stock removal quantity is not affecting consumption (movement type 351).
What is to be done in detail?
    a) Maintain table TMCA via Transaction SM31.
    b) Use SAP enhancement MCB10001 for Inventory Controlling.
Here, you can change the field contents of communication structures MCBEST and MCBEST according to your requirements.
In the above-mentioned example, the source code in the SAP enhancement would have to be as follows:
    LOOP AT XMCMSEG.
    * Kommunikationsstruktur Bestandscontrolling
    IF XMCMSEG-STGRP1 = '1234'.
    * Statistikgruppe 1234
    * Menge Gesamtverbrauch
    XMCMSEG-MGVBR = XMCMSEG-MENGE.
    MODIFY XMCMSEG.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
Please let me know if this helps you.
    Regards,
    Shawn.

  • Unable to do a goods issue with a movement type with no consumption posting

    Dear Colleagues,
I have a customer who sellls books, some of these books are printed on demand and hence no inventory is maintained and other books manage inventory as stocks are maintained.
SD Orders and deliveries are managed for these products.
However , the customer would like a process in the SAP delivery document to represent the goods leaving the printing plants, ie the goods issue.
As for materials that do not manage inventory are not visible from the VL06G ( Outbound deliveries for goods issue) transaction. I configured a 'dummy' movement type and assigned it to a schedule line.
The movement type has the setting 'consumption posting' removed.
After doing this, the deliveries show up in VL06G, but when attempting to do the post goods issue, I get the following error message  "Deficit of SL Unrestricted-use "
I have checked all the config that I know and there should not be any availability checks, but shome how it is being checkad at goods issue. Help!!! What am I missing?
    Many thanks
    Henry

    Hello
From my point of view you need to use a Non Stock Material  (Material type: NOST)  to manage the books .
then you sell books as you are selling service

  • Different Consumption Account for Movement type 201 and 261

    Dear All ;
Client want use different consumption account for movement type 201 and 261  .
How we canmap this in SAP
    Kindly suggest .
    Regards;
    Joydeep Mukherjee

This you can acheive by setting account assignment indicator is checked.
OMJJ >>> Movement Type >>>Account Grouping >>Check account Assignment
If this indicator is set, the system checks whether a G/L account or an account assignment has been specified on the item screen when user post transactional data. If so, the system copies this data to the posting line for account determination.
If this indicator is not set, the system always uses the G/L accounts or account assignments determined automatically.

  • Z Movement Type as Receipts instead of Consumption in ML

    Hi experts,
A month ago, a MM consultant created a Z Movement Type. In Materal Ledger, this movement appears as Comsumption, however, we want consider this movement as Receipts in ML.  Is there some way to modify the configuration of this movement?
Maybe, other solution is create other movement type with copy of 101, because this is consider as Receipt in ML. Is it correct?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    José Luis

    Hi JL
Check OMJJ. In the Movement Type detail, check if is Debit or Credit. Credit (H) movements are consider as consumption. You can change this field and future movements are consider as debits..
    Check this example.
+ Z71 is Procurement if 'S' is set in OMJJ
+ Z71 is Consumption if 'H' is set in OMJJ

  • Movement type that does not register consumption

When my client regularly moves material from plant A to plant B and consumes it in the production operaiton at plant B. When they want to move excess inventory BACK from B to A it registers consumption at plant B - and makes it appear that they are consuming more than they actually are. This causes the reorder point for that material to increase and the buyers are given signals to re-order the excess material back to plant B! Is there a movement type that can be used to ship excess inventory back to the original plant, using a stock transfer order, that will not register consumption?
    Thanks,
    Ned

Hello Nethe, please tell us which is the movement type used to return the goods.
From a planning point of view it can be seen as a withdrawal of material, but it should be a transfer movement (i.e. 3xx)

  • Movement Type for Good Issue and Good Consumption in Table S032

    Hi Gurus,
Would like to ask what are the movement type used in Good Consumption and good issue in Table S032.
    Thank you in advance
    Best Regards,
    Julius Calugay

    Hi
If a goods movement is an goods issue and if its going to reduce the inventory stock/value (goods issue posting causes an update of the consumption statistics of the material) , then its going to be an goods consumption also - ex. issue to a cost center/order
If a goods movement does not affect the inventory value but change in stock, then its only a goods issue - ex. transfer posting
If a goods movement is not an goods issue, but it reduces the inventory stock/value, then its only a goods consumption - ex. receipt of materials in a subcontract PO, here the raw materials is assumed as consumed for the finished product receipt.
    Thanks !

  • Report MB5B for selected movement types

    Dear All,
When I am executing report for selected movement types , system givivng me message below " Movment type is reset"
After continuing that Movement type field turns BLANK, and report is executed with considering all movement types.
If there is a way for executing MB5B report for selected movement types, please suggest.
    Thanx..

    Hai,
1.The MB5B report will show the stock on posting date with all movements like Goods recipt from Purchase, production order, stock transport order, & goods issue due to consumption posting, stock transfers & transfer posting.
    2. This is designed to see the Opening balane+Goods receipt - goods issue = closing balance.
3.You can't take report only for particulat movement type.
4.If u want to get the details as per the movement type, then use MB51 report.

  • Different movement types in MM documents in SSR

    Hello,
How can I use different movement types in logistic documents for meter readings?
I set up additional meter event for own consumption and I need to get logistic document with other movement type (as standard we running creating logistic document types an 251/252 movement types for fuel sales).
To realize at least those two types of sales wehave only two possibilities in the system:
    1. Setup separate processing profile for location for purpose of own consumption.
The stop over point is only one processing profile can be assigned to the location at once.
    2. Setup a new process with new movement type.
The stop over point - restriction in the customizing - only one main process can be used for posting based on meter readings (error message OQ_C601 "More than one entry selected as main MM process for location indicator 01").
How can I solve this issue?
    Thanks and KR,
    Sergey
