Contact Birthday From Google doesn't show in Ipod Touch

Why the information of a contact birthday of google contacts is not transmitted to my Ipod Touch? Any suggestions?

I started to answer, and then backed away when I saw you were a Windows user. I use Mac and this may be a bit different for you. First, I assume you are syncing using iTunes.
1) I make sure I can see the Google calendars I subscribe to in my iCal program. My understanding is that the iPod touch via iTunes will sync with Outlook's calendar. Maybe with others also. So, first thing to check is if you can see the Google calendar entries in your calendar on your Windows computer. If you cannot, you must fix that first.
If you can, you need to add those to the list of calendars to sync in iTunes. You plug in your iPod touch, select the touch in iTunes, go to the Info tab, and make sure the calendars you want to sync are selected.
That should do it the next time you sync.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit doesn't show my iPod Touch 4

I have attached my iPod Touch 4 to my Windows 7 PC via the included USB cable.  iTunes recognizes the iPod.  It is nowhere to be found in Windows Explorer or Computer.  Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus controllers lists Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.  My iPod seems to be working.  iTunes and iOS are up to date.  I need to transfer music from the computer to the iPod.  What can I do about it?

The iPod is NOT a flash drive, hard drive or memory card substitute.  It cannot be seen as a drive in Windows Explorer (except for the camera function which shows up in Windows Explorer under your device's name)

  • Gmail sent from macbook doesn't show up on iPhone6

I activated my new phone today, and email I send from macbook doesn't show up on phone.  I can send/receive from phone.  All settings on new phone match old phone.

The messages are still downloading.  Just an FYI but changing that one setting (adding [Gmail]) to one account appears to have f'kd it up beyond what I can say.  First everything went away.  So I took it back out of the setting.  Now these are the messages trying to download.  I think I had archived alot of these messages and will have to clean out the box again???  The second image is showing in the sent folder.  Only a few old messages are there and now they have this weird blue 'From'?  Free storage is the only reason I use gmail and 'free' is looking pretty expensive right now.

Are you using POP or IMAP.
If IMAP, did you set it up correctly to sync all the standard mailboxes, Trash, Drafts, Sent, Junk?

When you go to the Google Maps app on the iPod does it correctly find your location? The iPod's locations service uses the location of the a nearby wifi router to locate te iPod.  However, not all routers are in Apple's database and as of yet nobody here knows of a way to add routers to the database.

  • ITunes 9.0.1 not showing my iPod Touch since I installed OS 10.5.8

    Your help, please...
iTunes 9.0.1 is not showing my iPod Touch since I installed OS 10.5.8.
Your ideas are welcome, because I'm out of them.
    Thank you,

It looks like part of the crash report is missing. But at the top of your message it states there's an issue with the xmlTextReader in Pages. I guess this means Pages is having trouble opening, closing or saving the document.
If this only happens with one Pages document then it may just be corrupt.
If this happens with any Pages document then I'd suggest deleting Pages, reinstalling it from DVD/Mac App Store, updating it and then trying to work with a document.
If this doesn't answer your question please provide more information eg what steps to take to cause the problem, if it happens with one or many documents, if you get any error message at all, etc.

  • Belkin stereo doesn't work on iPod Touch 2g??!!

    Hi,
I just bought that little Belkin stereo attachment for audio recording using my iPod Touch 2g, but it doesn't seem to work! Or at least I don't know how. The manaul for the stereo only has directions for using it on iPod nano 2g, iPod nano 3g, iPod 5g, and iPod classic! What the heck?!! I asked the clerk at Apple Store whether there's a stereo attachment for my iPod Touch, and this was what he gave me.
The last day for me to return this thing is Thursday, so can someone please help me out. I'll call the place tomorrow but for now, does anyone know if these 2 devices are compatible?
    Thanks a lot!

Why don't you try contacting Belkin - as they make the device, they would be the obvious people to ask for a definitive answer. You'll probably find Belkin's contact details, web address etc. on the box, or in the instructions.
However, if the manual doesn't mention the iPod touch, that suggests its only compatible with the iPods they have listed.
If it is this product that you have bought:
    http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=277661
then as it says on the web-site, it is only for iPod nano 2nd generation & iPod 5th generation (video). Belkin don't make a microphone compatible with iPod touch according to their website.

  • I have a new computer. I've installed iTunes. I don't want to lose the calendar and contact data nor the apps currently on my iPod Touch. Will that happen when I sync?

I have a new computer. I've installed iTunes. I don't want to lose the calendar and contact data nor the apps currently on my iPod Touch. Will that happen when I sync?

I don't think so. When you open iTunes, go to "Store" on the top and click "Authorize this Computer." Type in your email and pass, and click authorize. Then, when you connect you iPod for the first time, it should tell you "this iPod is synced with another computer, blah blah." It should give you the option to either "Erase and Sync," or "Transfer Purchases." Click "Transfer Purchases and your content should go into your new iTunes.
If this doesn't work and you still have your old computer there's another thing you can do. I know this works on windows, but I'm not sure how to do it on a Mac, maybe someone can offer some help. Assuming you have Windows, go to Start>Music>iTunes Media and you should see Music, Apps, Movies, etc. This is all the stuff in your iTunes. If you have an external hard drive or your iTunes library is small in terms of file size, you can do this in one go. Transfer the content (as much as you can fit at one time) onto the external storage. Then, put that content on your new computer on the desktop or somewhere where you can find it again. Open iTunes, and folder by folder highlight everything in the folder and drag it into the iTunes library. It should say "importing (content)" or something and then it should be in your library. If you look in your Music folder again, there should now be another "iTunes" folder there with all of your content back in it.
Hope one if these options works for you. Best of luck!

  • HT1386 how do I use iTunes to merge my calendar from my old 3.1.3 iPod touch to my new 6.1.3 iPod touch ?

I have been reading the instructions but no where does it say how to sync the calendars between an older iPod Touch version that can't go on the cloud with the newer one one that does. I have not even been able to sync my calendar from my old iPod with my desktop. I need my old information to merge with the new info I have manually added to my new iPod calendar. I find the iCal very confusing.

  • IOS 7 doesn't work on iPod touch 4g, so does the mean its the end for this device? Or are they going to make updates specially for lower devices an apps that are compatible ??

iOS 7 doesn't work on iPod touch 4g, so does the mean its the end for this device? Or are they going to make updates specially for lower devices an apps that are compatible ??

Which apps remain compatible will be up to the individual developers who sell those apps. There will be no further iOS updates, but those aren't really necessary to continue to use and enjoy your device. I still have an iPad 1 running on iOS 5, and it is fully functional.
The App Store has an app called VintApps 3.1.1 that is specifically geared toward iOS 3.1, however, you would probably be able to run most of those apps on your iPod, and considering that there will be a rather large market for iOS 6 apps users, it is not likely that you will see a significant reduction in choices any time soon.
It is not the end for the device in any sense except that it is at it's ultimate iOS level. And again, I have an iPad that is at it's ultimate iOS level (iOS 5), and I get new apps all the time that work for both my iPad and my iPhone that runs iOS 6.1.1
    No need to fret....
    Cheers,
