Contact Forms in Muse

Hi,
I am trying to add a simple contact form to Muse but when I preview it or publish it the submit button doesn't do anything. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello,
Submitting a form in "Preview" will not work and you'll get this message: http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-09-10_0408.png
However, when you publish, it will work and you'll see "Form Received" written below the form, and you'll also get an email with the form submission details if you've added an email address in the form options here: http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-09-10_0411.png
You can also choose to redirect to a page after submission as shown here (this is useful where you choose to add your own "Submission Confirmation" page): http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-09-10_0412.png
Hope this helps.
Cheers

  • How to create a contact form in Muse?

I have created the contact form in Muse...from going to Widgets>Detailed Contact...how do I set the "Submit" button to send to a current email address? When the site is live the button isn't clickable. Does anyone have a step to step process on how to make this contact form work?

    Hi,
May I please have the URL of the site and any specific pages you'd like me to take a look at? Let me check before suggesting anything.

Can I upload a php file to my host with an embedded html contact form in Muse for it to work?

That would require to know your hosting provider and his requirements. And therein also lies the answer: You cannot blindly design a form in Muse and just hope it will work, you have to know this stuff beforehand and design "to spec".

  • New Built-in Support for Contact Forms | Adobe Muse Feature Tour | Adobe TV

Add, customize, and style contact forms directly within Adobe Muse, for sites hosted with the Adobe Business Catalyst service.

So, now the video has been removed. Is this an indication that some pulled the trigger on the forms too early. That's not such great customer service. One of the reason I decided to go ahead and pay was because this was one of the features I need for a customer site. Of course, I can do this another way but I have been trying to consolidate everything under the Adobe prodict umbrella. What's the deal????????????????

    p_nath, hello
I had the same question for two days, before i find this thread.
You are described the impossibility of creating form without mandatory fields, but this was clear when i had work expirience in Muse. That's sad, because Muse is very helpful software for non-html users, or beginners (like me) and let not coding.
So, now question is that: will ever be possible to make these fields option?
    Thank you.
p.s. Sorry for my english, writing from big, warm (only now) and boozy Russia.

  • Contact form in muse without bc

Hello...i've a simple website, and i want to put in a contact form.
Is that possible without business catalyst? ( i don't know exactly what bc is doing...i thought hosting websites...but i have it already hosted)
I've found contact forms of 3rd parties, but i prefer a free contact form..
Does anybody have the same question or answer?
    grt marcel

I've used www.jotform.com to create forms like this. It's free for modest usage volumes. It's also very easy to use. It generates html that you can paste into Muse. It will send any responses to the form to any email address(es) you specify.

  • Add a Date field (with an icon that brings up a calendar they can pick the date from) to the contact form in Muse.

Have to build a form outside of Muse because of not having this.

    Hello Shivkumar,
I, though, want to enter a "date" in this additional field, hence feel that
Additional Data B needs to be updated with this customisation.
Can you please confirm whether this is the right path to take
Also whether there is any standard setting to configure this requirement?
Is some "development" work needed to map this requirement?
Please note any requirement of adding up custom fields at Sales order level can be achieved through the following User exits in the screens :-
1:- SAPMV45A8309, Sales Document Header - User Exit Header
2:- SAPMV45A8459, Sales doc. Item - User exit item
Please reach out to Technical consultant so that code can be placed in these user exit and kindly close the thread if you query is answered.

Vicky Quick: The contact form for Muse sites doesn't allow my clients to reply to the person who contacted them. It puts their address in the top requiring them to cut and paste the person requesting information. How can I change the reply to field in the contact form and is that even an option? If not do you offer a work around? I've put this question on the forum and no one has an answer. PLEASE HELP!
    Sonam: Hi, welcome to Adobe
Sonam: Vicky, is your site hosted via BC, or a 3rd party hosting provider?
Vicky Quick: I have one on BC and one on godaddy both do not work
Vicky Quick: The contact form works, but the reply back doesn't
    Vicky Quick: hello?
Sonam: Vicky, this feature is not available via Muse or BC. Kindly share the link to your forum post, I shall forward it to the product team and ask them to get back to you at the earliest.
Sonam: If there is a work around, or if it is possible with any customization, the product team shall help you with it.
Vicky Quick: I have put it on the forum as well as third party sites like muse-themes.com and they don't have answer either
Sonam: Kindly share the link to your forum post
Vicky Quick: How do I share the link?
Sonam: Copy and paste to this chat

As Anshul has suggested , this needs a Customer Case Management system , where your client can reply directly to submitters email.
With BC this is possible enabling CST( Customer Service Ticketing ) , you can define role responsible as which users should receive the submission emails and then reply to customers directly from email client used.
Level responses can be used such as First level with escalation level. Enabling this , form submission will create a case which will then get converted into a web case and will be triggered into role responsible mailboxes. Site users(your client) can directly reply to the customer from any email client used using this method.
In case you are using external server , you can use any third party ticketing system and setup on the email to which notifications are received.
Currently , with Muse when form is setup with email . Submitters form submission notification is received from that email and submitters email is included in subject line , which you can use manually to send email replies.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Is it possible to add an 'Upload Image' option to a form in Muse CC 2014

    Hi,
Im building a website via Muse and BC for a movie star client who has images of herself tattooed by ardent fans. Basically, the website is a gallery for fans showcasing the very best in inked images of herself on their skin. On the contact form in Muse, I'd like to add an option somewhere for the client to upload an image of their own tattoo to be included in the gallery (which will be added/edited manually in PS).
Is this possible without too much xtra code? Or, will I need a single page where folks can upload their image to us which will include some sort of widget? I'd like to be able to manage it though without giving out an email address if possible?
    Any help most appreciated.
    Cheers

Hi Rohit, thank you for that.
I do have a FormsCentral account and notice on a tutorial I found on AdobeTV, that you can specify file types. This is something I'd like to be able to do as they will be images so PSD, png, jpg etc. But just looking over on BC I see that you can add 'Attach File 250mb limit' to a form (as you advised) but I can't see where you can limit to type? Is it in there?
Finally, will the image be uploaded to the BC server-side (if I use BC form creation method and not FormsCentral) in some type of assets folder or, will the form simply send any clients uploaded images to the specified email account within the form?
Whoops, final finally: Do you think that it is better to use FormsCentral for this or BC? I want the page to be customised so the form sits on some b-ground artwork. The client has a famous image where she is holding a burning card invite. I have already used this and overlaid a contact form in Muse which has worked really well, so I want to create a (hidden from menu) uploaded page looking exactly the same and this page will be linked directly from the other Contact page, driving any fans there who wish to then upload an image rather than just send a general contact. I hope that makes sense?
I guess what Im trying to find out is wether FormsCentral data gets fed back to BC in the same way a BC-created form would be seen in the dashboard area.
    Thanks Rohit

  • "Un"configure Business Catalyst from contact form???

Help! I hope there is a way to have a contact form in Muse without it configured to Business Catalyst? Let me know your thoughts.
    Thanks in advance!

Only custom web forms in BC have an ajax / json response request, that will not work with the login form and some others in BC.
You will need to do your own ajax request but then you will not issues about the cross domain etc. You need to look at how the BC login works, your refresh and how to address that. (Its more complicated then you think)

  • Can you have multiple contact forms in a single Muse site?

I have a site created in Muse that needs to use multiple contact forms of a sort.  One is a simple contact form.  Two others are sign up forms. In two of the three forms I have to separate the First and Last names.  Also in those there are multiple Custom fields and Message fields.
The original simple contact form is working fine and has been.  However, I modified one of the pages by adding a second form, the first of the two sign-up forms.  It looked great in Muse, but when uploaded to the site, all of the fields were gone, leaving only the Labels in a single paragraph.
Does this mean I can't have multiple contact forms in a single site?  If I actually, can, then what might have caused the problem?  And what could you suggest for me to try to fix it?
    Thank you,
    Laura

Thank you for the information, but I cannot find anywhere in help where to find the field names (if that is my problem).  I changed all the labels and the corresponding text inside the field (remember, Muse does not give access to code as far as I can tell).  When I preview the page in a browser (using FireFox as default, but also tried with IE), everything looks good.  When I export to html and open the index.html on my computer, everything still looks great.  But when I FTP the page to the website, this is what I get:
    First Name:RequiredRescuer Email:RequiredOrganization (if any):RequiredSubmitting Form...The server encountered an error.Form received.Geographic Areas Covered:RequiredRescuer Cell Phone:RequiredRescuer Home Phone:RequiredRescuer Home Address:
    RequiredRescuer City:RequiredRescuer State:RequiredRescuer Zip code:RequiredRescuer Country:RequiredVeterinarian Name:RequiredVet Address:RequiredVet City & State:RequiredVet Phone:RequiredRequiredServices Offered:RequiredAdditional Info About You:Required Rescuer (available to general public) RequiredVolunteer (available only to Rescuers)RequiredPhoneRequiredEmailRequiredOtherRequiredLast Name:RequiredImage Verification:Required
How would you prefer to be listed?
How would you prefer to be contacted?
However, this is how it looks on the preview:
So, what is my problem?  And how can I fix it?
    Thank you,
    Laura

  • Muse do not allow to public site with my host's e-mail on contact form: info@теле.онлайн. Help!

    Hello, staff!
My site (http://теле.онлайн) have a contact form and i can't public site even on bys.catalist by using e-mail for sending form by my host-provider: info@теле.онлайн. If i use another one, for example my own - [email protected] - it is ok on bys.catalist, but it not working on my host, becouse the terns only allow to use their e-mail - info@теле.онлайн.
So, what we got now if i try to use info@теле.онлайн:
    Can't public site on buisness catalist servise with that mistake - 400 bad gateway. (117007);
if i export site as HTML and load it to my host by using FileZilla - forms don't work with that message: theres mistake on server.
I've contacted with my host-provider and they say that only info@теле.онлайн are allowed to be used in form.
So now i need to know - is that possible to configure Muse with that e-mail?
What if not? I have a contract with Adobe for 1 year, what should i do now?
PS sorry for my english it's pure, but i'm trying my best

Create a New User Account, and as that New User try to set up this one account -- as it is POP, set to leave messages on the server after download. If not familiar with setting up a New User Account, see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html
This will be a useful test, and is not meant to suggest a permanent switch to the New User Account, but rather a test of the Mail application outside of your normal User Account.
Also in System Preferences/Networks click on Advanced, then Proxies and make sure no proxy selections have been checked.

  • How to apply Muse (webfont) styles to BC Blogs/Contact Forms?

    Hi all.
So my site (designed in Muse) is pretty much ready, except for my blog and a couple of forms. I've just gone through making it my partner site, replacing the so-called "bre-built" default site. That process was very, very simple, but BC Support told me it would be much more complicated than it needed to be - it wasn't! I was able to simply publish via Muse to my partner site domain and everything worked fine...
Anyway... Headers in my site use the "Bebas Neue" webfont selected from within Muse (I assume this is a Typekit font?), at 30pt and a custom colour #B10505. Body text is simply "Trebuchet" (a standard font) in black at 12pt. Now, I'm aware that not everything designed in Muse shows up "as shown" when doing any editing in the back-end of BC. I've just begun following through the tutorial for setting up BC modules on a Muse site and have gotten to the "Inspect Element" stage...
This is where I've hit a snag. This video: http://www.businesscatalyst.com/bc-blog/adding-business-catalyst-features-to-your-muse-sit es (with the blog part starting near the end of 19 minutes) clearly uses a standard font and not a webfont, so when I'm inspecting with Firebug, what's shown in the video doesn't show up the same in reality for me. This is because a standard font is applied in Muse designed sites where a webfont is in use, and the webfont simply "masks" the standard font (if I'm not mistaken?)...
I've read this topic: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5480712#5480712 which pretty much asks the same question I'm asking, but this guy clearly has more knowledge (or maybe more common sense) than me, so I'm asking it in a new topic here...
Can someone please walk me through (step-by-step) how to apply Muse selected webfont CSS styles to the relevant files in BC so that my blog shows up with a consistent look and feel to the rest of my site? I'll literally need every step walking through with minimal jargon if possible - this area of web design is not my forte!
I suppose I'd also like the same process walking through for contact forms if possible? Alongside the header font, I've got a custom styled, beveled button made on a standard Muse contact form that I'd like replicating on a BC-made form.
I'm sure once I understand this process, I'll be able to apply this to any BC module; I just need that initial helping hand that neither the BC team or the Muse team seem to want to reference in their tutorial videos!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Hi
So, are these links in lieu of a full walkthrough, to help me better understand until if/when you get the time to explain?
The cssbasics.com link isn't working, FYI.
Looking through the typekit page, it seems fairly straight forward. Is this the same set of fonts Muse uses?
If so, theoretically do I just need to copy the snippet of code from the typekit site for my desired font (Bebas Neue) and paste it into the modulestylesheet.css file? Where? At the bottom of everything else? Presumably commenting what it is? and define that I want to use that as a header font? Can you walk me through exactly what I need to put for that?
Then I guess I just need to follow the rest of the video tutorial I linked above?
Or is there a little more to it than that?
Would I need to do the same to define trebuchet as the body font, or is there a different block of code I need for that, since that's not a webfont?
Sorry for being so slow with it!
