If your question is "Can I add/view additional fields in the Contact Group members display window?" - the answer is no. The details about what you will be able to see for any individual Contact Group member will be dictated by whether the contact
item is from a contact folder, the Exchange GAL or a one-off item (and in this case - only the name and email address are available).

How to update a People and group field using a sandbox solution

Hi,
I am creating a sandbox solution for office 365 and creating a custom form using visual web part, which will allow users to enter data in a custom list.
And that list also have a user field. I am able to get SharePoint user field on the form (using javascript) which is searching for the user and get a value (working fine).
Issue: But I am not able to save the user value. Because to save user value I require web, UserID and login name, to construct SPFieldUserValue object or string in "111;#TestUser" format. Moreover that user should be present in
SiteUserInfoList.
I tried web.EnsureUser() but did not work under sanbox solution.
Can you please provide any pointer or workaround to the problem? I may be missing something here.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update the people and group field in Sandbox solution.
In the sandbox solution, you can still use the web.EnsureUser() function to get the user information, see the thread below:

InfoPath - Populating People/Group field works on Create, but not on Edit

Hi- I have a scenario where there are a few data connections hooked up to a primary form. One of those data connections is connected to an assignment list. It consists of 3 columns (Warehouse(Text), Primary
User(People/Group), Secondary User(People/Group). This list is meant to be a dynamic source that my main form uses to determine assignments. I have a button that pulls in the data from that list onto my form. I am assigning the DisplayName to my DisplayName,
the Account ID to my AccountID and the AccountType to My AccountType. This works just fine when I go to create an item--> all values populate correctly, I can save my form with all of the newly brought in values.
For some reason, every time I open the form after that and try to use the same button, the query runs as normal, but my people/group fields do not populate - assuming they are not already populated. I
have validated that the rules are running and they are running with the values I want (I have written the values from the people/group fields to text fields and they appear to be correct).
I did look at the SP logs and it gave me this: Failed to get SPGroupName from GroupID. Error Message: Group cannot be found. Callstack: at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPGroupCollection.GetByID(Int32 id) at Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.PeopleEditor.set_SharePointGroupID(Int32
value).The StateManager is disposing and calling ReleaseLockedStates() (Count=0).
Any thoughts? I have not gotten any errors when interacting with the form. I had to pull this from the ULS logs.

The rules go as following:
1) Switch Views to a more specific view (less fields showing)
2) Query Data Connection for assignments
3-12) Set primary contacts
This looks at my assignment list and based on the location sets the display name, account id and account type on
my form, based on what exists on the other list
*I have the same thing happening for 10 fields based on location. I am using a filter for each one to identify the correct location populates that person field.
13) I am setting a field to true that identifies that the rule was just run with a sign and date of username.
I have verified that the values are trying to be populated by looking at bothe the default values of the display name, account id, and account type of my people picker fields, however they are not showing anything within the picker itself. Additionally
I have a view that shows my assignments data connection that is populated correctly.

How to sync Outlook 2010 Contact Groups to my iPad and iPhone

I am trying to figure out how to sync my Outlook 2010 contact groups to my iPad and iPhone. Also how do you manage the groups once on the device? Seems they can only be selected and not edited. I can get my Good contact group and my Windows Contacts contact group to sync but not my Outlook 2010 groups. Any ideas?

Mac solution. No idea if works on PC:
Work Around:
On your mac:
1. Open a new email
2. Insert name of an existing group into one of the "To" fields as usual.
3. Highlight all the resulting names in the "To" entry
     [Highlight first name, and while holding shift, highlight last name and all will highlight[]
4. Copy (Command C) the highlighted emails
5. Paste (Command V) nto a pages document
6. Remove the name and anything else preceeding the first < and also the first < of only the first entry whixh will look like this:
     [email protected]>,
7. Remove the > of the last email which will look like this:
     , Jane Doe <[email protected]
8. Copy the entire altered list from the pages document
9, Go to Contact Book and click + to add a new entry
10.. Name the entry (XXX Group for iPad) or whatever you wish to call it
11. Paste all the copied altered list into any one of the email entry spaces
12. Click on "Done"
13. Create new email On iPad and click on + in any one of the "To" lines and search for "XXX Group for iPad" You cannot just key in XXX Group for iPad!!!!!!!, you must use + contact search.
14. Enter the selected iPad contact group into the "To" line.
15. All the entries will now appear in the "To" line and you are good to go.
Adding or deleting email addresses from the iPad group:
Easiest: Alter the original mac group in the usual way and repeat steps 1-14 above. It seems impossible to edit within the emai line of the iPad contact entry.
Rediculously simple once figured out.
Happy emailling, but please send Bcc so that you don't spread your groups' email addresses all over the internet for spam, viruses, and other unwanted emails. Be considerate and ask your recipients to notifiy you if they wish to be deleted from the lists you compose.

Sending mail to a contact group with a numeric name

Hello!
I have a problem when sending mail to a contact group. The contact group is named "1234", and in Mail the autocompletion of the address is not performed successfully.
However, if I rename the group to "A1234" then it all works. Sounds like a bug to me.
Also, I have 31 people in my contact group. And, when adding the "A1234" group in the To: field - not all in the contact group are added. (And yes, they all have valid email addresses)
This also sounds like a bug to me. Or, am I missing something?
I should also add that when - in the address book - I select the group and "Send email to group", not all people in the group are added either...

Your email provider limits the number of email addresses you can send to at once, so it's likely you exceeded that limit, thus causing their server to hang. Check with them to find out that limit, then try reducing the number of recipients your sending to in that group to that number or less.

Max number of persons in contact groups - Nokia Lu...

The max number of persons allowed in a contact group is (as far as I know) restricted to 20 persons. This seems very low and I wonder why this restriction is applied. A limitation of 20 persons in a group is not practical. Any explanation or any idea if this can be changed in the future?

As you've discovered the maximum number of contacts you can have in a contact group is 20. If you'd like this limit to be changed to a higher number you really should post a request or add your votes to a similar request on Microsoft's user voice fo.... This is the place that Microsoft created to field user requests for enhanced options for windows phone.

Unwanted contact groups in iPhone

iPhone4 showing contact groups that no longer exist in Microsoft Outlook10. Extremely annoying to see group folders with no data in them. I have tried resyncing and restoring many times. Can anyone help???

When I updated the latest version for the iphone, it has groups in it now, and you can select which groups you want to sync with. This may work with multiple phones, but not sure. With Outlook 2003, I figured out a way to create groups and put contacts into them which really helps since I have 400+ contacts. I'm currently using about 30 different groups, but haven't field tested it yet. You should be able to create groups in Outlook that have only the contacts for each phone in different folders which can sync to different groups in the iphone.

Managing contact groups in E71 and N97 mini

It seems that the E71 does not support groups like older models used to: apparently groups are listed alongside contacts, and it is no longer possible to see and search groups directly. I'd like to see my groups straight away (e.g. clients, business partners, friends, etc), open and search them, rather than finding them among the contacts. Actually, this setup misses the whole point of classifying contacts into groups! What on Earth was Nokia thinking?
Is there any way around this? A firmware update or a third-party app?
Also, how are contact groups managed in the N97 mini? Is it the same, or does that mobile finally allow you to see and search groups directly?

Have you checked if groups can be synchronized between the phone and Ovi? With older versions of Ovi it wasn't possible.
Can you manage, sync and backup groups from the PC using Nokia PC Suite?
What's the difference between contacts and Ovi contacts? I thought the whole point of Ovi was to sync data between the website and the mobile. Can you instead keep two different directories of contacts and access them separately?
I wonder if 'groups' is just another field in the contact database, which gets saved when you export contacts to a csv file with Nokia PC Suite, or if groups are stored in some other ways.

Ability to email contact group has stopped

I have a number of Contact Groups which I set up on my Macbook Pro that sync to my iPhone 3G via MobileMe
I've never had any problem emailing any of these contact groups. Just start typing the contact group name into the "to" field in Mail and it autofills.
Today however that seems to have gone toes up. If I type in the first few letters of my contact group, nothing happens. I just get those letters. If I type the complete group name in - nothing.
Typing in an "ordinary" contact in any shape or form autofills (or at least offers me the options) as usual.
Has anyone any idea what's going on or how to resolve this?

Can I make a paper group address list from a Contacts group list?

I can't find a way to do this now. It used to be a simple thing -- with the aid of a third party app-- to print all pertinent info for members of a Contact group in an compact list.
Anyone know how to do this, or how to post such info into the Cloud?

Select one or more contacts or a group. If contacts in a group have multiple email addresses, street addresses, or phone numbers, you can choose which to use. Select addresses for group members Choose File > Print. Choose the print style from the Style pop-up menu, and then set related options. If you don’t see the Style pop-up menu, click Show Details. Mailing labels: Click Layout and choose a label type from the Page pop-up menu. To set page margins and gutter space between labels, and how many labels to print per page, choose Define Custom. Click Label and choose the address to print from the Addresses pop-up menu (for example, print a label for each contact’s home address). Use other Label options to specify the print order, include a company for business mailings or a country for international mailings, or add a graphic. I haven't tried it because I don't use groups. I hope this helps.

Send Mail to Contact Group

I'm helping someone set up their new iPad. One of the most common tasks she hopes to use it for is sending e-mail to several groups. On her iMac she has the groups set up in Contacts. To send a message to them she opens mail, selects the group, and all the addresses populate the To: field.
The groups are there in iOS on the iPad too, but there doesn't seem to be any way to select them when you're sending a mail message. If you go to the + button, click Groups (little back arrow), and click the group it just adds or removes the little check mark by the group name. There's no way to chose the group to say "send to all these people."
You CAN select just the specific group, go to the contact list, and tap each name one at a time to populate the To: field, but with 50+ e-mail addresses... That's NOT a solution, that's a pain.
There must be some way in iOS to send mail messages to everyone in a contact group... BUT HOW?

Um, Apple... REALLY? Why on earth would they leave out something this fundamental?
Please tell me they added it in iOS 7. This is one of the primary reasons my friend bought the iPad. She's considering ditching it because it can't do something as fundamental as send to a group.

E66 where have contact groups tabs gone ??!

On my good old 7650 and N95 there were contact groups tabs in the "constacts". It was possible to browse only groups and select the contacts belonging only to the particular group.
On E66 all contacts along with all groups are dumped into a single list. My old trick with selecting group name starting with "_", like "_group1", "_group2" in order to have them on the top of the list doesnt work any longer either.
And how am I suposed now to navigate through a list of more than 100 contacts, with half of them on languages not supported (of cause) by the phone ???
The commucator UI leaves the impression of a raw **bleep** that somehow works, not mentioning the fact that the PC suite crashes trying to import textual CSV-file with contacts and looks like someone has stolen icons from the late Borland C++...

Open Contacts go to Contacts>Preferences>Template>Add A Field>Related Names

Outlook 2010 Contact Group restrict to only send using BCC

After spending a few hours online looking for an answer, I think it is time to ask creative minds. Basically, I send an email to 15 different contact groups all at once (700 email addresses). I need them to not be able to see the other email addresses
in the group and not be able to "reply all" to everyone on the email. The easy answer is just put them all under BCC, but sometimes I accidently send the email with the contact groups in the "To" field. I would like something
that stops my error permanently. Either by automatically setting those groups to the BCC field when selected (instead of the To field) or something else. Any ideas?

In your products listet, there are the two licence codes as provided via e-mail
and the SLES Licence Key only there, named SLES under Small Business Edition 2.
