Contact groups not complete in Communication Centr...

I'm using Communication Centre 7.1.40.1 on Windows XP with SP3 in order to edit contacts on a Nokia 6300i via bluetooth.
Contact groups created on the 6300i are not displayed correctly in the Communication Centre, eg. a group with 17 contacts appears empty in the Communication Centre.
How can I fix this bug?

Hi,
Does your phone has got latest firmware on it?  Why not try Nokia OVI Suite 2.0.2.42 from www.europe.nokia.com/ovisuite and check this issue?

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases.  File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.  Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

  • Outlook contact groups not appearing in iTunes Sync

I was having trouble getting contact groups to appear in iTunes froma outlook. For awhile I got 1 group to appear and no others. I expermentally deleted that group and it remained while nothing else showed up. Apple support had no idea what to do and I stumbled upon a solution eventually. Since other people seem to have had a similar problem judging from the forums I thought I'd post my fix if nothing else is working for you.
When you create a new group in MSoutlook (by right clicking and selecting new folder) in order to keep your contacts orginized it makes that folder in a subfolder of whichever folder you clicked on. This doesn't display in MSoffice at all, all folders simply appear in a straight line with no way for you to tell where they are. The issue is that if you have these groups in any other directory besides Contacts they will not appear in iTunes. In my case everything was a subfolder under Suggested Contacts. In order to fix/check this simply click on your groups 1 at a time and select the "move folder" option, select Contacts, then hit OK. Rinse and repeat until all your folders are filed under contacts.
Once you've completed that open iTunes, go into the info tab of your device, and sync contacts with outlook. Just select sync all if nothing appears. After the sync all your groups should appear below for you to pick and choose which groups you'd like to upload. I hope this helps.
This fix was using Office 2010 on Windows 7 (64-bit) with iTunes 10.5.2.11

    Hi,
I would like to create two folders - one for me and one for my wife. So under 'My Contacts' in Outlook 2010 it looks like this:
    Suggested contacts
    Contacts
    Suggested contacts (email address)
    Simon's contacts
    Julie's contacts
iTunes has picked up these sub-folders - THANKS!
However, I would like to keep the 'Contacts' folder with all the contacts in and only copy selected contacts from there and place them into my wife's folder and mine. The 'copy' function does not seem to work.
Obviously my contacts are different to my wife's and she does not want hundreds of names on her contact list.
So, basically how do I copy contacts without moving them out of the contacts folder and manually typing them all back in my wife's folder (some contacts we both need)?
Hope you can help on this one.
    Many thanks,
    Simon

  • Contact Groups Not Showing In Outlook

As of yesterday morning contact groups disappeared from my Outlook 2010 contacts. Logging into iCloud.com The groups are all there with the right people in them. Is this resulting from an update to iCloud, or is something corrupted in my system?
    Thanks!

  • Contact Groups not updating

So I recently set up a few groups of contacts in my MobileMe account. The usual friends, family, businesses, etc. I had "push" set to on and the next day I checked my contact groups on my phone. I could see the groups listed, but when I opened any group, it was a blank list.
I double checked that I had properly set up the contact groups in my MobileMe account and found that they are still setup properly.
So my question is does anyone know why I'm getting the newly created groups pushed to my phone without any of the contacts that should be included listed?

There is an easier fix for this than creating a dummy contact. You just need to refresh the Mobile Me account on your iPhone. Follow these steps to do so and all of the contacts you put in the groups on MobileMe will show up on your phone.
    1. On Iphone go to "Settings"
    2. In settings, go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
    3. Under the Accounts, select your MobileMe Account
    4. Turn the Contacts button to "Off". You will get a pop up stating "Synced Contacts will be removed from your iPhone". Click the "Stop Syncing" button. This will remove all your MobileMe Contact data from your iPhone. When you select the button you will see a window with a spinning icon stating "Turning of Syncing". Wait for this to finish.
    5. Once Syncing has been turned off. Turn it back on again.
    6. Hit the home button to exit the settings.
    7. Open up the Contacts application. When you first open it, there will be no contact data, but the network activity indicator will be spinning. The phone is downloading all the MobileMe data again.
    8. Once it is done, you will see all the contacts (but the group button will be missing). Hit the home button again to exit the app.
    9. Open the Contacts app again. The Groups button will appear. Click on the group you created and you will see all the contacts you added on MobileMe for that group.
It looks like every time you add a new group you will need to do this. But if you only add a new contact to an existing group, it will update on the iPhone with no problem.

  • New Contact groups not appearing in iTunes

I just got my iPhone 3G and attempted to set up syncing with iTunes (v7.7).
I added a new group in Address Book, put some contacts in it, and then went to iTunes. I wanted to sync only certain groups from Address Book, so I turned that option on, but the new group I added does not appear in the list. I quit and restarted both Address Book and iTunes. I rebooted the iMac. I reinstalled iTunes. Nothing has worked.
    Any ideas?

Indeed, following the instructions from this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1614078&tstart=60
first led to iTunes finally clearing its cached information, but it still would not adop the new Contacts. They would only appear after following the instructions from the other thread mentioned above:
    http://www.ehmac.ca/mac-ipod-help-troubleshooting/64080-itunes-isnt-seeing-addre ss-book-contacts.html#post666662
    Thanks for posting these solutions.

  • Contacts Group not working in Mail

Prior to upgrading to Mavericks, if I wanted to send an email to a Group (created in Contacts), I would type the name of that Group into the "To:" bar, press enter, and it would populate with the corresponding email addresses. This is no longer working. When I type in the name of the Group and press enter, the text disappears and no email addresses populate. I have confirmed that the Groups still exist in Contacts.
    Any suggestions?

in fact its work like before, its just doesnt "show" and the text you enter just look like text and not like an blue bubble as before, so type your group in the to" field like before and send like before without seeing the individual name of the group member. clear ?!

  • Contact Groups not showing up on Iphone when syncing with Mobileme

My contacts show up in my address book on my Iphone but when I go to look at my groups the page is blank and I cannot get back to my contacts without closing and reopening contacts but still no groups. I want my groups to show up. I have at least 4 groups that show up on my me, and syncs fine with ipad....
I THINK THIS IS A ISSUE with the new verizon iphone.
    Please help if anyone has

I am having a similar issue. As is my wife. I also believe that it is a bug in the current iOS on the CDMA iPhone 4.
It is just as you described, and I have to close Contacts completely in order to restore my access to the contacts list. And, like you, our groups show up just fine on our iPads (within minutes of making changes, as we sync over MobileMe).
It doesn't appear to be a letter-case issue, as at least my login is in all lowercase letters.
I sure hope that this is fixed in an iOS update soon! It's rather problematic for those of use who use their iPhones for business purposes.

  • Google Contact Groups not displaying

I just bought an iPhone, and installed iTunes so I could do some syncing with my gmail account.
I'm selecting "Sync contacts with google contacts", and when I click "configure" I am prompted for my username and password. It then flashes a dialog window for a split second saying that it is connecting to google before it disappears (I assume failing somewhere).
I'm running windows vista, and have the most up to date iTunes (9.0.2.25). How do I get the groups to appear?

I'm having the same issue except Im not even getting all the contacts coming through. The only contacts it now syncs are the ones that are not in groups in Google. This was working before to the extent that it pulled all my contacts but now nothing. A fix would be nice

  • IOS-6 contact "Groups" not working

After I installed iOS-6 on my IPhone-4, my "Groups" do not open on my contact list. Syncing doesn't help. What to do?

Was all of your contacts saved directly on your phone? I notice that now in the 'groups' there is no longer a way to display all your contacts - it only shows your existing groups. For Example, I have a lot of contacts on icloud and about 20 that I saved directly on to the phone (ios5) - now it only displays the icloud contacts and there is no way to display the contacts saved directly on to your iphone. I can however see the contacts exist, since when I try to send them a mms, it shows up in the messages app- it is just weird. Try and see if you can see your contacts in your 'Messages' app.

  • ICloud Contact Groups Not Working on iPad

I made a contact list on iCloud.com via my Mac Book (OS X Yosemite).  The groups I created there do not work with iPad Air 2 mail. They show up on the iPad, but I cannot send emails to my groups.  What do I need to do to make groups work?

    Maybe the backup is corrupted.
Turn off iCloud backup and try deleting the iCloud backup for the iPad.
iCloud: Remove an iOS device backup from iCloud - Support - Apple
Then turn it back on and try to backup.
You can also try removing your iCloud account from the device and then re-add it.
Note: This will cause you to lose everything but the last 30 days of photos in your My Photo Stream so take precautions.

  • PC Suite - Nokia Communications Centre is not Init...

I am running Nokia PC Suite v.7.1.180.94 with bluetooth on both a laptop (Win 7) and desktop (Win 8). Everything is fine on the desktop but, about a month ago, a problem started with the connection to the laptop. Bluetooth is working, the little icon on the taskbar tells me Nokia PC Suite is connected via bluetooth and, after starting PC Suite, my phone name (a Nokia 300) is on the list displayed. However, when I click on any option i.e. Contacts, Messages etc. Nokia Communications Centre (v.2) starts initialising, but never fully loads - sometimes it gets as far as 34% and then stalls.
There appears to be nothing wrong with the phone and it works fine with the desktop. The same software version is loaded on both computers and everything worked fine on the laptop until recently. No apparent changes have been made to the laptop to coincide with the start of the problem.
I'd be grateful for any help in sorting out this problem.
    Many thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Many thanks for the advice. I tried using the cable and everything worked okay. As both my laptop and desktop were using a bluetooth dongle, I swapped them. The laptop works fine now, so it must be a fault with the bluetooth dongle.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Rgds, SMM

  • Contacts/Calendar not synching

I sync with Exchange and also have personal contacts/calendar. Outlook has an Exchange mail/calendar account and I have two IMAP mail accounts plus my personal contacts/calendar. I can view both calendars in Outlook 2007 (Exchange & Personal). The problem is that my iPhone peronal calendar doesn't sync with Outlook personal calendar on the PC. If I add a personal calendar item to Outlook or the iPhone, I'd like the two to sync or merge. It's a similar situation with contacts.
I remember initially that I declined to merge these in iTunes. Is there a way to do the merge after the fact or do I need to try something else?

Actually, I see there are four calendars in Outlook with non descript names:
    - Calendar (Exchange)
    - Calendar in Personal Folders
    - Home in Personal Folders
    - Home (this is the one I use)
Unchecking the middle two leaves the relevant calendars. I did a test by adding something to the personal calendar in Outlook and the iPhone then sync'ed. That worked perfectly. But what are the references to "...Personal Folders"?
    Here are my contacts:
    - Contacts
    - Contacts in Personal Folder
    - Vendors
    - Family/Friends
    - Work
I have contact groups on the iPhone left over from when I used Windows Live Mail. Do contact groups not work with Outlook?
Any suggestions on why Outlook contacts aren't syncing?
There's some weird stuff going on with contacts. I have a certain person on the iPhone that I don't see in Outlook. If I select "All Contact Items" and search on the person's name, I see them. Otherwise, they don't show up in Outlook.
