Contact Images in Latest Sykpe for Desktop
I updated Skype from 6.21.59.104 to 6.22.81.104 today. In the previous vesion the images shown alongside contacts were square boxes. The new version shows these imagec clipped to circle.
I don't like that, because: first - it is just ugly and second - the images loose some detail and that make them less recognisable.
Is there a way to set contact images back to square?
While I am at that - is there a way to set the size of the contact images?

You can uninstall the 6.22.81.104 version and install the 6.21.0.104 version:

Even with an updated Nokia C5-00, I would have gussed, because Nokia Sync former Ovi Sync still works on the latest Symbian, the Nokia 808 PureView.

Cannot play voicemails on Windows 10 / Skype for Desktop
I have the latest Windows 10 and the latest Skype for Desktop. I have tried to uninstall / reinstall Skype and I have cleared the profile completely from C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Skype\ When there is a voicemail message, and I click play, it will look like it's downloading and then go back to the play icon almost immediately. Help!
Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool. Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post. Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

What is the latest version of Desktop Manager for the BB 8300?
JimSo i just did the same and yes, the sync error goes away, but i think another problem is occuring.
I use Entourage for my contacts and have a Blackberry to sync it to. Since contacts will only sync with ADDRESS i need to first sync ENTOURAGE with ADDRESS then it moves on to my BB. Since doing this exercise (above), it seems that ENTOURAGE is not syncing to ADDRESS...does this make any sense? -
I have just installed the latest software for the iphone4 - I have retained all the data EXCEPT the Contacts have all disappeared - can I get back ?
Maybe on outlook application if you use it with pc. If not try to restore your iPhone with a old backup from iTunes.

I just upgraded to the latest software for my pages. When I opened an old document it stripped out all the images I had in my tables. How do I get them back
Don't save. Close the documents.
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages 5 will damage/alter older files, something Apple didn't tell its users.
Pages 5 is a severely stripped down version with over 90+ features removed.
We recommend trashing/archiving Pages 5 after Exporting any files you may have saved back to Pages '09.
Also rate/review Pages 5 in the App store.

Also, Apple isn't here. It's just us users. If you want to talk to Apple, contact them through AppleCare.
Best I can understand is you want to download a 10.5.8 installer.
If that is correct, there isn't one.
If your original install disks are missing or damaged, you can contact Apple and request they send you replacement disks. Again, asking here won't get you anything.

I have installed the https everywhere add-on a while ago.
Since I've done this I've never been able to click on images each time I was doing a Google search from their first page of results ("search everything"), but I could still find images by going directly to Google Images search.
Since I installed the latest update for https everywhere this morning, I simply cannot search a single image with Google, which is a problem as I'm a professional art historian.
I get the message"Your search - rembrandt - could not be completed with the requested search options. Reset search tools".
But resetting the search tools don't change anything. I'm working on a Mac, if it helps.I had the same problem although it was a previous update rather than this one that caused the problem. Just hadn't got round to doing something about it - was using Bing images instead.
I searched for some answers this morning and seemed like most suggestions were a nuisance to try. Couldn't find 'Preferences button of HTTPS-Everywhere' as suggested above. Decided to check if No Script was blocking it. Sure enough. So problem is solved.
Thought I'd put it out there in case it helps someone else. Appreciate that people are so helpful on here. -
Latests ongoing 'upgrades' as they refer them IOS7, without announcement removed the feature that showed an assignged contact image appearing full screen when that contact called. Why ? brilliant feature Fast losing faith, thoroughly ****** off, moving on to another phone.
We are all users here. You are not talking to apple on these forums. There is no way anyone here can know the decision making process apple uses to determine what changes to make to the operating system. Also none of use care about which phone you might buy next.

I am trying to install a printer Epson xp-605 but when i try to add it, Apple says it can't find the software. I have downloaded the software from Apple website and also from the Epson installation disc! The message is: "The software for this printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer’s manufacturer for the latest software."
Try a reset of the printing system. This often resolves the symptom you are experiencing.

I have had a similar problem, except all of my text messages are gone too! My contacts have slowly started to come back, but it appears that my most recently added contacts are gone, and my messages are also gone still.

Image not showing up for Contacts
I recently added some contacts. All the info is ok, except the contact image which I uploaded on Microsoft Outlook (which appears on MO) does not appear on the iPod. Anyone know how to fix this?

Is this your own HTML DB installation? Do you see any errors when you try to bring up the image directly in the browser (by typing the full image path in the Location bar)? Do you see any errors in Apache's error_log?

My iMac runs bootcamp, so I have both OSX and win7 available. I run the latest Firefox on both as my primary browser. The printing looks like the ink is running low, but when the same image is printed from other desktop apps the printing looks fine.

Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
If the original drive in the newer Mac is a Western Digital, its jumpers may be set to Single, which WD drives often use when there is only one device on the bus. When a second drive is added, the jumpers on the original must be reset to Master.
OS 9's utility is named Drive Setup - you should find it in the Utilities folder on the hard drive. Run that. Select the added hard drive in the list, then select Mount Volume from the Functions menu.
You can also check with that utility to see if the OS believes the drive has been set to automount at boot. Again, select the drive in the list. Then select Volume Settings from the Functions menu - there's a checkbox in that screen to set automount (for freshly initialized drives, that's turned on by default).
Also, try running Disk First Aid (should also be in the Utilities folder). Let it have a look at the second drive, and repair anything it can.
Apple System Profiler should report the format of all drives it sees. Is the format of the drive from the old Mac stated as Mac OS Standard, or as Mac OS Extended? -

You can find the hosts file at: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC.
Select the hosts file. There should now be a duplicate of the hosts file named "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts-copy" (Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8).
Drag the original hosts file to your desktop.
Right-click the duplicate file and choose Open. You may be prompted to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
When Notepad opens, choose Edit > Select All.
Choose Edit > Delete.
Choose File > Save.
Close Notepad.
Right-click the duplicate file, and choose Rename.
Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
