Hello all...I need some help.
I'm a Dreamweaver author and need new contacts for the DW
product team. Since Adobe and Macromedia merged I've lost all of my
existing contacts and feel like I need to start fresh. If anyone
has a contact I can have please send me an email with the
infromation. Unfortunately, it's my publisher's responsibility to
get me on the beta list but they're completely unresponsive and I
don't want to be left in the dark here. Thanks.

Creating contact folders for multiple users
Hi,
Im trying to create a contacts folder for all users within a domain. This falls into two problems I have come across:
Firstly how do I create a folder that is defined as a contacts folder using powershell. I can successfully create a folder using New-Mailboxfolder Cmd-Let but its a mail folder and does not appear in the contacts area of outlook as though you had created
it using outlook and selected the contacts item type.
Secondly how do I do this for all users using powershell. New-MailboxFolder appears to only work from the user I am logged in as (in this case administrator). I have found multiple sites stating this is the case but none that explain what we should be doing
instead or how to make it work correctly.

Hello,
I have tried to acquire a contact information for the executive office through phone calls and online chats, and no one will provide it to me.
When I voice my complains, I'm told I'll get a callback from a manager, and I never get one.
I can't find any contact methods on your site.
Isn't there any consumer protection acts requiring you to provide this information when requested? It's very unprofessional behaviour from Sony's part, and I'm very disapointed in a brand I love to use when they provide such poor support and customer service.
Can you post, if not on your site, at least in this thread, the method I can send my complains to the executive office or headquarters?
I'm extremely disatisfied with Sony, and may end my lifelong loyalty to you if I don't get the results I feel are acceptable.As indicated in my post, it's complaints.

I understand there are different reasons to communicate with a company, but the executive office is supposed to be available for contact, via phone, email or mail when requested by a customer. I may be wrong, but I think it's the law here in Canada, and in the USA.
If I ask to speak with the executive office, it could be regarding any of those, and it's not something that requries specific channels. I deal with an executive office agent, who takes the responsibility to handle my complaint and forward it to the proper channels for resolution. Once the resolution has been reported back to them as completed, it's then their responsibility to get back in touch with the customer to confirm the resolution has been completed and is satisfactory.
Every single company I've dealt with, and worked for has this line of communication.
Bell, Rogers, Telus, Hydro One, Hydro Ottawa, Embridge, Walmart, Canada Post, Mastercard, Visa...and the list can go on and on.
If I don't get contacted by the executive office, my next step will be to bring this to the ombudsman and better business bureau. -
In my email auto fill it lists addresses I haven't used in 2 years as "recent others". What causes this, the contact information for these people was deleted some time ago.
Mail, Window Menu, Previous Recipients.
Select the ones you don't want and delete them.
If you want to add them to contacts, click that button. -
Has anyone else experienced contact information for a blocked contact, appearing at the top of your email screen when opening your email?
I'm seeing this as well, but not everytime only evry so often. No idea why.

Edge Animate CC is not free for beta users?

I have been an Edge Animate user from the very start and I was really happy to hear that the initial release would be offered for free to us Beta Users. I noticed the Edge Animate CC is not currently being offered for free and I was really dissappointed. A lot of people have put a ton of time and energy into pushing Edge forward including: providing feedback, helping users in the forums and promoting edge to our friends. It would be greatly appreciated if Adobe recognized this and made it available for free to us.

Animate 1.x is offered for free. When we launched 1.0 last September Animate was offered with a promotional price of $0. It was technically a paid application, but offered at a 100% discount as a thank you to our users for helping us with the product. We made it clear with messaging that only the 1.x version would have this premium.
Animate 1.x is also a perpetual version so you can use it without paying for as long as you wish.
Animate CC is offered as part of the paid CC subscription, so if you're a subscriber it comes with the bundle or standalone at $19.99 a month.

You cannot contact the iTech Developer. This ripoff vendor has no contact info and I expected more protection from Apple then to allow such a shady vendor to sell to their customers. Their collage app is a complete ripoff. It does nothing! It's partly my fault for not reading reviews first! I know better now. Thought Apple would safeguard their customers as they have always done in the past! I am very upset right now!

NO CONTACTS BACKUP FOR MAC USERS
Skype's Help pages breezily state that no backup is ever needed. Cuz Skype server cloud bla bla. You see.
Oh. There IS a backup procedure described, for Windows only. After the declaration that backing up is for sissies (Windows users? Sorry for the dig...), the Help article does then say clearly that NO such procedure is available for Mac.
We have been through a terrible experience in which my wife's Skype account was suspended -- for reasons never clear to us. The verification failed repeatedly; long chat sessions and multiple re-tries later somebody apparently realized this all was to no purpose and provided a path to reactivate her account.
BUT.
The loss, had that not been possible, was of her contact list. I am worried about the same in my case, because not only are some numbers uniquely stored there, but a whole world of personal habit takes me back to look at Skype to retrieve many numbers. And then, usually, to use Skype to call them. Skype should be ashamed for not providing for the very real eventuality of the loss of a contact list. Safely archiving them on its servers does the user no good when Skype also makes access to that person's account impossible.
So this is a call to Skype to get on the ball. Not much more to be said. This forum and third party internet discussion areas are bursting with sad and -- dare one say it -- very angry (with justification) tales of woe. We add ours, here, implicitly.
In an email reply to the Skype person who did at last provide the means to re-access the account, we added our thought that the disconnects and wasted time were, if nothing else, a perfect advertisement for Skype's competitors, especially for KEKO (keko.com) which provides similar services at similar prices, and adds functionality such as making a simple local call and having that be processed via KEKO to connect with an international number anywhere in the world.
I hope that by including the direct reference to another VoIP provider, one which offers superior service, may goad Skype into action. If Skype will fix the contacts backup issue I will remove what I have written about another provider; and continue to use Skype as a principal channel.
That is, until Skype also fixes the horrible and wasteful, and -- for us -- ineffective (until someone apparently stepped in personally to set the account straight -- but who knows -- perhaps we were just lucky and that may as well not have happened, either?) manner it has to re-verify accounts. That has to see a revamp, too.
My wife and I have manually created an archive of our contact lists. Just everyone will be able to profit from our magical method, here it is: we made screen shots on the Mac of every 'page' of the contact list; that is, scroll down, hit Ctl + Shft + 3, hit fn + down arrow, and repeat until all 'pages' of contacts have been saved as screen shots.
Then, open in Preview, select all, and Print, exporting as a pdf; which can just be saved and/or printed for a hard copy archive.
As an embellishment, having Photoshop, we also opened the files in a batch in Adobe Camera Raw, where it is possible to batch process to enhance clarity on-screen, and to crop the screen shots en masse so that in the pdf the hard-copy printout can be made on fewer pages.
It's a KLUGE.

Looking for Better User Interface Controls
I'm working on an Labwindows CVI application where a tachometer meter with a
programmable "red-line" affect to define safe running conditions is desired.
The controls available in the Labwindows palate provide a meter control,
however, no capability exists for customizing it. A conversation with NI
Tech support resulted in confirmation that my desire could not be realized.
Is anyone aware of additional user interface libraries (internal to NI or
available comerically) that may help me?

BobI'm not sure if this helps, or how you would drop it onto a CVI interface,
but I found something in National Instruments ComponentWorks which might
work. I did this in Visual Basic and ComponentWorks, and don't know if there
is a similar object in ComponentWorks++. What I did was open up a form and
add a CWKnob component to it. The CWKnob has several pages of properties
which you can use to customize it at design time, and you shuold be able
to access them and change them programmatically at run time also (like changing
the red line position). Instead of the default view of the CWKnob, I went
to the Style sheet and selected 'Dial', which makes it look like a meter.
Then I went to the Pointer sheet and added another pointer, Pointer-2.
I selected the Fill Style to
be 'Fill to Maximum', and the color red. This
puts a second point on the meter, where everything above the pointer to the
max value is a red band. To hide the pointer and only have the red band,
I set its Style to 'None'. You can set its value (red line) on the property
page, and I expect you can do this programmatically, too, although I didn't
take the time to try it out.

Verizon contact information for hit lines
We are a utility contractor out in Western New York. Would someone from verizon give us a phone number to call when we hit drop wires. Verizon locating does not mark drop wires out here and we can't call Verizon's 1-800 repair number because you need the phone number of the damaged line (which we usually don't have).
That's a temporary network event because they are doing upgrades.
Nothing to do with firewall because why the hell would VZW firewall HTTP/HTTPS which would make average users not able to surf the internet!?
I really hope you did the shut-off device, and reboot the device thing!?
Everytime it boots it re-loads config from LTE if any changes VZW automated DM (device management) provisioning from the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) wants to push to the device and SIM card profiles...
You should have acted dumb and told them you can't surf...
Don't try to talk about how it works because THEY AREN'T TRAINED FOR THAT! You should be smart enough to decipher that in the human condition. -
