Contact Lis Recovery

I need support about how can I recover my Contacts List due to I change the SIM card in my device and start the sync process with Blackberry Desktop software, something was done by mistake and this was not sync and the contacts were eliminated from my device, Is there any way to recver them?
I'll really appreciate any support. I hope there is a way to get this info.

Do you have the contacts saved on your PC or Mac? Did you create a backup prior to changing the SIM card?
You can restore data from a backup by following these steps:
1. Open BlackBerry® Desktop Software and click on Device>Restore.
2. Choose the backup file and click on custom.
3. Put a checkmark for Contacts and click on Restore.

Need to locate contacts on my machine. Lost all contacts in recovery.

So I have 2 PCs (old and new) and I was initially(for the last 2-3 years) using my old one with itunes for my IPhone. I just updated Itunes and the software on my phone and my phone went into recovery mode. The only solution that worked to get my phone out of recovery mode was to restore it on a different machine (my new pc). I have moved all my music and apps to my new machine with no problem. Now, I need to find my contacts on my old pc and move them to my new one so I can add them to my phone. The problem is, I do not know where to find them. I have looked in outlook and it has no contacts (possibly because i never used it). Also, my old PC will not recognize my iphone when it is connected, so i can not use that. Is there a way to force itunes to find a device?
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
This is driving me nuts!

You have the right idea but the wrong location. ..Apple Computer\Mobile Data\backup (I think; it's been a while since I used Windows). But the folder name is backup. And it's a folder, not a file; it is hundreds or thousands of files, depending on how many apps you have.

Received text message from 1000000000, contact lis...

I received the text message from somewhere using the name in my contact list. The content in message is 13235682605. I googled and found many people recieved text message or call from this number (1000000000) to their landline, but I haven't found anyone said about using name from own contact list. I use 5800xm US version, and recent update firmware. When I click on option>message detail; here is what I found;
From: Name in my contact list <1000000000>
Can anyone tell me what happened? Has my phone been hacked ; virus or mulware? Help, please.

Are you with AT&T? When someone calls you chooses to page you, you get an SMS from that 1000000000 number. In my case the dumb number translates to "Check Bill Balance" which is really odd & threw me off, but it's harmless. Just see the content of the message and you should have a callback number.
I wonder if the random "from" name is a firmware bug? I've seen this this v20 and v21 firmware.

Address book SEPARATE from the phone's contact lis...

I want to retire my Palm Pilot and keep all the data on my Symbian phone (5800 xpressMusic). The bulk of the data from my Address Book in the Palm Pilot does not belong in my phone book - mostly business entities for which I only need addresses and large notes. Plus, those familiar with Palm may realize that if I have large notes, the phones Contact list only shows the first line until I go in to edit.
Does anyone know of a separate address book / contacts app that can be downloaded to keep a list that's not in the phone's Contacts? I've been able to replace most of the apps, even my password safe.
Or should I just wait to see if HP, which bought Palm recently, puts out a good phone soon with the Palm OS? (yes, I am joking)

My old Palm had the "private" mask that hides all the private information. Such a simple idea.
I couldn't find a complete solution.
But, 2 alternatives:
1) In the Nokia QT Development website there's a simple address book project
2) The application DBViewerPlus let you build simple databases quickly.

NEED HELP with contact/data recovery from restore backup before current

My girlfriend synched her iphone 5 to itunes 6 months after purchasing it and wiped all of her data. Instead of clicking "restore backup", she chose "Backup now", which replaced the version we needed. Is there anyway of retrieving the data from that restore?

No, not unless she had a backup of the data she loss.

I get confused to restore my bbm contact on my new device. Previously I have BB Pearl 9105 but I sold it. and now I use 8230f, I got confused how to restore my bbm contact from 9105 to 8230? Please help me, I dunno what to do..
I try using BB Desktop but nothing happen, just phone contact has restored.

Restore Contacts and Calander

I was cleaning up my MBP to sell and deleted my contacts list and calander events from the computer. Well it deleted it from iCloud, my iMac and MBA. Contacts lis is still on my phone, any way to restore contact and calanders now? Any help would be great.

Phone is suppose to back up to the icloud, but there is nothing in the icloud. I have Time Machine as me main backup, but was unable to restore contacts, said that could not restore contacts because it was part of the OS and not availabel.

System Restore problem on Satellite C660-115

From my point of few we should consider two possible issues.
1) faulty image on the new recovery disk
2) problem with HDD as well as the partitions
In my opinion you should check the HDD firstly.
You can run some tests, for example you could try to install the Windows system using a clean Microsoft Windows CD (image)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit image can be downloaded here:

But of course, you will not be able to activate this system without a valid serial key
So you can use this image just for testing purposes.
In case the image installation would run flawlessly, your recovery installation problem might be related to the faulty recovery media.
In such case you should try to contact the recovery media provider in order to get another, new good working media.

Wasn't making any noises as i've experienced in the past so I tried doing disk utility via snow leopard's install disk. The disk (renamed from macintosh hd) shows up as media with zero bytes, isn't repairable either. I tried the freezing method but that only resulted in clicking. I hadn't backed up my drive in over 3 months due to moving and not getting around to unpacking my external drive...i'm just looking for other solutions to get my disk before i start contacting data recovery services and shelling out hundreds of dollars any help would be appreciated. This is the second drive i've had fail on my macbook in 3 years so the idea of shelling out money right now again is something i'm trying to avoid.

I'm writing this blog as I need to find resolution to an issue that is affecting my wife and she is very frustrated and upset. Please understand we are in the process of refinancing our house and this negative credit score is affecting our ability to refinance our house and I cannot continue to have this undo stress placed upon her.
We've followed the path of contacting both parties (Verizon and MCM) on several occasions with no resolution in what seems to be a very simple account to correct, I run some of the largest BPO call centers in the world so I understand in great detail how customer escalations are handled and when both companies are not talking with one another to resolve issues such as this the outcome is unfortunately what my wife and I are dealing with.
Summarizing, my wife previously worked for Qwest in their corporate office (now Centurylink) in Denver. She had a cell phone through them (303) 517-XXXX, that phone number and account was closed out. We found out when refinancing our home loan recently that their was a outstanding balance from Verizon that was affecting our her credit score. She has perfect credit above 800 and we were confused as to what this was. We found out that an account had been opened up under her name with two phone numbers with the address of the account at the Qwest corporate office (not our home address).
VZW usuage and bill was coming from two other numbers that we are not familiar with account 4713XXXXX - (303) 507-XXXX and (303) 437-XXXX. They referred to them as a Level 1 and a Level 2 (sub accounts) - neither company could tell me which was the level 1 and which was the level 2. Again, they couldn't give us numbers because the numbers had been erased. Below are the details:
VZW sent me to collection for a $395. The collection company (MCM) has limited information - only the last bill. And VZW has information, but can't see the numbers, only that the accounts were being used and paid for (PLEASE TAKE NOTE AS WELL MY WIFE AND I HAD MOVED TO AFRICA WHEN THESE NUMBERS AND CHARGES WERE HAPPENING). The numbers that are associated with the collection are: 303.437.XXXX and303.507.XXXX and had a billing address of 1801 California St. and being paid for pretty regularly. (NOTE THIS IS THE KEY PIECE, THE ACCOUNT ASSOCIATED WITH THESE NUMBERS WAS BEING PAID. IF YOU DETERMINE WHO WAS MAKING THE PAYMENTS THAT IS WHO THE ACCOUNT BELONGS TO-VERY SIMPLE RESOLUTION).
These numbers were set up August 25, 2008 - account 47132XXXX (303) 507-XXXX and (303) 437-XXXX. Below is the information that was relayed to us with payments made on the account. AGAIN - IF YOU DETERMINE WHO WAS MAKING THE PAYMENTS THAT IS WHO THE ACCOUNT BELONGS TO. We told that several times to many departments within Verizon and MCM.
September 2008 - no payment
October 2008 - payment made $228
November 2008 - payment made $353.23
December 2008 - no payment
January 2009 - payment $267.34
Feb 2009 - Nov. 2009 - consistent payments made $120.14
Dec 2009 - no payment
Jan. 2010 - April 2010 - no payment
April 2010 - VZW stops service
Simply what we believed happened is either someone at Qwest (now centurylink) accidentally set this up under her name or someone fraudulently set this up under her name. To me it doesn't make sense given the high dollar amounts they were paying consistently on the account that it was fraudulently set up.
Your companies are unfortunately putting me in a very undesirable position given the exposure I've had to how customers can use various media and social channels to bring to light issues such as this - especially given the things this is not allowing us to do with our house refinance and the stress it is putting on my wife. I'm demanding that this account be extensively researched and then deleted from all credit reporting agencies. My request is very simple, please assign someone from each company to look - and work together - into this extensively and resolve this issue.
If I do not hear from you and significant progress is made by Friday September 28th I will proceed with ensuring that is resolved through the appropriate channels as we feel we are being held hostage by this issue.

Is there anyway to recover files permanently deleted in trash after a two month period?

I deleted some files that I thought I transferred to an external hard drive. However, after 2 months, I realized that all of the files did not transfer and I deleted them in trash about two months ago. Is there anyway to recover these files?

Probably not. All I can suggest is you contact a recovery service, but it's expensive and since you've been using the machine for over two months, most likely they're overwritten.

Can't find pictures after backup

I recently changed my HDD in my laptop. I first did a backup onto an external hard drive. When attempting to restore the files to my computer I only get the folders in 'My Pictures' but no files/pictures in those folders. I can't even find them on the

First, we can try to use SATA USB cable.
I also would like to suggest you try the following methods to check the issue:
1. Show hidden files, folders, and drivers. ( Open the Start menu and type 'hidden' in search box, Click on 'Show hidden files and folder', In the View menu that pops up, click "Show hidden files, folders, and drives")
2. In folder properties, check if any Previous Versions is available.

If only the jpeg files not showing in "my picture" folder, I would suggest you to do a check disk on the system and check whether the issue persists.
a. Click Start and then Run.
b. In Open, type cmd and then press ENTER.
c. Type chkdsk, and then press ENTER.

Software Update crashed my computer IMac

I am heartbroken! Need some input from you all. Yesterday I was on my computer and the prompt came on alerting me to new software updates. Proceeded to click ok, the update began and half way thru, computer rebooted and then bam. Blue screen of death and then my computer wouldn't clear out of that blue screen. I brought it in to the Apple store and was told today, that they tried to back up my drive with Disk Utility and some other back door process and were not able to make it work. Kept failing. They said they would replace my hard drive but can't recover my data and suggested if I want the info to contact a recovery company. Fool that I am, I know.....we didn't back up and now I am in a bind. Not sure what to do. My Iphoto info, my Itunes info, it all resides on that hard drive. And I find it hard to believe that there is nothing they can do, that my hard drive failed after software update takes place? Has anyone had this happen and give me some quality options to help figure out how to recover my data. I found a few local spots in CA that will come to my home and help, but I have no idea what to look for and the amount I will have to pay. I don't have a ton of things on that hard drive, so why would it cost much?

Hi, for the first time since I have been using Mac's the latest Update created issues on my computer. I ended up d/loading from the main Apple sdite.
Backing Up is a must, Recovery of info on your HD is possible but not guaranteed or 100%. I would visit your local Apple Approved Service Agent & speak with them.
I assume you have AppleCare & have called AppleHelp? In any event an Apple Service Agent or the local Genius Bar is I feel your best option. I would in your case ONLY deal with an Apple Approved tech.

Problem with my Iomga ez after update 4.1.106.31982

Hi, I recently updated my Iomega EZ Media to firmware version 4.1.106.31982 and when try to login it show me the message "The device is configuring storage". Some times it let me login but all options link to .../manage/restart.html and still show me the message "The device is configuring storage".

When you updated the firmware on your device, what firmware version was the unit running before? Also have you tried to use a different web browser such as chrome or firefox to try accessing the web interface? If so is there any difference?
If using an alternate browser does not seem to make a difference you may want to try resetting the unit via the rear pin-hole reset button, hold it down for 15 seconds while fully booted to reset the unit.
If there is no change, LenovoEMC support will need to be contacted about reinstalling the firmware. This step is data destructive so if you do not have another copy of the data on the unit, you may want to contact data recovery professionals first if you do not have access to the shares via windows explorer or finder.
