Contact list birthdays are off by 1 day

Has anyone else noticed that the birthdays showing for contacts are off by one day from what is entered?

I think I had a similar issue once. I discovered that my default time zone in my Google/Gmail account was set incorrectly. I logged into my Google account and dug through the account settings and eventually found it.
Hope this helps.

  • Birthdays are off by one

I am syncing my Hotmail contacts to my iPhone 4, and the birthdays are all off by one day on my phone (one day later than they should be). I check them in Hotmail and all is correct, but when accessing the contacts on my phone or in my calendars, they are off by one day. I am running the most recent software update for the phone (updated 11/8/12) and have upgraded to the current version of iTunes. I have had the problem for several months now, and can't seem to get rid of the problem. Any suggestions for a fix? Thank you!

Not that I've found, unfortunately. Apple must be too busy to bother with getting their calendars to work properly! Sorry...

  • Date range parameters are off by one day

I have a Start Date and End Date parameter in my SSRS report.  The results are off by 1 day.  For example if I enter 4/2/2015 and 4/20/2015 it will return a few results from 4/1/2015 to 4/19/2015.  I think maybe it's a problem with my date
conversion in T-SQL, but thought someone more experienced than me would have seen this before.
    Thanks

    Yes
The safest way to write a date range comparison would be as below
    WHERE DateField >= @StartDate
    AND DateField < DATEADD(dd,1,@EndDate)
If you want results with @EndDate inclusive

  • Software Update posted dates are off by a day?

05/20/2008 was yesterday and today the Logic Pro 8.0.2 came out. How in the world did this come out today and not yesterday?
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
    Thanks!

    needsomeihelp,
Perhaps you can tell us why this makes a difference to you. If you have Logic Pro 8.0 it is just an update which was posted yesterday and not today.
Software Update and listed downloads are not always simultaneous.

  • Why are my "all day" events and birthdays suddently off by one day in my calendars?

Is this a bug in the apple upgrade that came out last night?

For different reasons, I have the same question, i.e., can an all day event be made to wrap around to more than one line in a monthly calendar?
Alternatively, can I make an event without a time included in the print out?
I'm trying to make a genealogy calendar that includes the date, year and place of births and deaths. Obviously, such events would not include a time of day...or at least not times that I would know.
Narwhales...did you ever figure out a work around?

  • Birthdays are set back one day (gmail exchange)

I am using gmail exchange for my email, contacts and calendar on my iphone. When I add a birthday to a contact the iphone (or gmail) sets the date one day before. It happens when I leave the addressbook and go back in again. Then the date is changed somehow.
Anyone know why or how to solve it?

Seems they are both set to norway.

  • Yahoo Messenger on phone will log out when person in my contact list is knocked off.

I have a contact that when they are kicked off of yahoo messenger from their blackberry, it logs me out of yahoo as well.  This contact is the only one that it does it with.  Has anyone ever had this happened and know why it happens?

    In iTunes, uncheck Sync contacts.
    Sync the iPhone.
Then recheck Sync contacts and sync the iPhone.

  • How to bring up "Favorites" contact list (& where are "Home" preferences)?

I see this in some on-line pages about how to use the iPhone:
"your list of favorite contacts is only a double-pressed home button away"
but on my iPod (4G Verizon), double-pressing the home button gives me a gray upper screen and shows me the currently-running apps in a row on the bottom. How do I get to the favorites list? I'd like to have a speed dial list accessible from the main screen as quickly as possible. Also, I saw this:
"As of iPhone OS 3.0, the home button can also be set as a shortcut to open the camera or search applications on the phone. As with the other settings, in the Home option of General settings, you'll find check boxes to set either the camera or search apps as shortcuts."
When I go to Settings and then General, I see: Auto lock, passcode lock, restrictions, date and time, keyboard, international, accessibility, and reset. Nothing about the Home option. What am I missing?
    thanks in advance!
    Mike

The Home Button functions changed in iOS 4 to support multi-tasking, and you can't any longer assign functions to the double-click.
To get to Favourites (or even Favorites ) yI always have the Phone icon as one of my fixed bottom 4 icons, and I click it once to open the phonebook and then hit the Favorites button. 2 clicks instead of one, but...

  • ICal Timezone support - Birthday off by one day.

I always used iCal's timezone support. I had it on since day one I got my computer running. I have been using the birthday calendar function for all my address book contacts' birthdays as well.
I have just moved from Vancouver (GMT -7) to Japan (GMT +9), and now all my contact's birthday is off by one day. I tried turning off the iCal timezone support but not much happened.
    What can I do?

I've had this same issue 2 times now (I'm also on the same setup as you).
What has worked for me is the workaround listed here:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20070313180838582
To simplify, copy the script shown in the last post into a text file called:
correctBirthdays (no file extension such as .txt is necessary)
and save it into your home directory. Once you've done that:
    1. Back up your Address Book with the 'File > Back up Address Book...' menu item
    2. Open the Terminal application
    3. In Terminal, type *chmod 755 correctBirthdays* to make the script executable.
    4. Type *./correctBirthdays -1* and hit enter. If you're coming back from Japan, you'll want to use 1 instead of -1 to move the birthdays forward instead of back a day.
    5. That's it. Terminal will report how many birthdays were corrected.
I'm guessing that this problem has been fixed in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, and that's why musicale can't reproduce the issue.
    Hope this helps!
(and I take no responsibility if you mess something up! It should work though.)

  • Why are messages being marked as junk when I have the addresses in my Contacts list?

Almost all incoming messages are marked as junk in two of my accounts. I have 3 other mail accounts without this problem and work normally.
I've added the address to my contacts list and turned off or deleted all junk filters and options. I've rebuilt the Global index and none of this has helped. A few messages have gone directly to my junk folders for these accounts but mostly they stay in the Inbox.
I'm sure its probably someplace in my profile but I don't know what it could be or how to find out.
    Thunderbird version 24.6.0
    Mac OSX 10.9.4
    Thanks.

All they seem to do is furnish the software you can download for Windows OS only. I'm using Mac. They may have something that filters their local email accounts but I've never set up the email account I have with them in Thunderbird. I'll check that account and see if there are any filters..
I have 3 different email accounts set up, two for 2 websites and gmail. One of the website accounts works just fine. The others have the problem.
    Thanks

  • Calendar entry off by one day

    Hi
I have a weird problem, I have one calendar in which the entries are off by one day only on my iphone, they are correct on my ical where I enter them and also on icloud website calendar but NOT on the iphone. They show as all day events on the iphone exactly one day prior to when they should be displayed. Any thoughts?

    (1) If your iPhone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPhone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
    (2) sync your iPhone to iTunes.
    (3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
    (4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
    (5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.

  • Sim Card "Glitch" Say Apple Geniuses -- Related to Contact List

So, you know how when you scroll to the very top of your Contacts list, you are supposed to be able to see your own cell phone number?
Well, that phone number is missing in my Contacts list.
I took my iPhone to the local Apple Store, and they said this was a "common" problem and the solution was to go to an AT&T store and have them give me a new SIM card, because the SIM card I have has a "glitch."
So, I went to AT&T and got a new SIM card. No change.
Went home and synced and backuped up iPhone. No change.
Did a complete Restore on my Iphone. No change.
Went back to AT&T store and they said, "it's Apple's problem, not ours. They always try to blame stuff like this on us."
My phone number is still not at the top of my Contacts list. I know this is not a big deal, and yet, it bugs me because I know it is "supposed" to be there (ok, and there is the fact that I had to give someone my cell # the other day and for the life of me I could not remember it, since my number has changed 3 times in the past 2 months...don't ask).
Anyone else had this problem? Anyone been able to fix it?
My iPhone is an 8GB. I have the latest iTunes software, and the latest iPhone software. Everything else on the phone seems to be working ok.

Thank you so much for your response. What you say makes sense. I went back to the Apple Store today and ended up walking out with a new phone (I didn't ask, they offered!), but I still have the same problem. Went to AT&T and they made sure all the info was correct in my account but seemed befuddled by the problem. We agreed to give it a few days because the Apple guy had said that sometimes it can take a few days to "show up" in iTunes and on the phone itself.
Apple even had an info sheet on this problem, but its primary focus was on whether or not you actually knew your phone number; i.e., they considered the problem solved if you found out your phone number, which they suggested you do by calling someone you know with caller ID. As if I didn't really know my cell phone number!
Can I ask .. what does "OTA" mean when you mention "OTA SIM info"??

  • Email contact list is 1/2 gone. I import and it's there again, then it's gone again. Contact list shows up in Explorer, but not Firefox. How to fix?

My contact list is half gone, the last half of the alphabet (all letters after "J"). I "import" my contacts from the same email account and magically they are all there again. However, when I click on Inbox and then go back to the Contact list, they are half gone again. When I open Internet Explorer, all of the contacts are there.
I'm In Firefox 22.0 and use Windows 7.
How do I get my contacts to stay put??
Thanks in advance for your help.
