Contact names will not populate

Since installing the latest iOS update on my iPhone 5, my contact names will not populate to Phone or Messages. Only the numbers are listed. All my contacts are still available in Contacts and Mail. I tried Reset All Settings as well as closing everything down in Task Manager. It hasn't helped. Since I've gathered this is a more common problem on Verizon, I should also note that I'm a Verizon customer. Anything else I can do to fix this? Thanks.

My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can i fix this without turning off iCloud?

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...

I updated my iphone software to IOS 6.2 yesterday and im not sure if it is a coincidence but now, my contact names do not show on incomming calls or messages. Also they do not show on past calls or recent history.
All my contacts in my phonebook still exist and are correct, the problem only occurs when receiving calls or messages. please help i need this fixing

Try to restore your iphone via iTunes or update to ios6.1.2.
If itunes gives an error with restoring (DFU/Recovery or just normal)
try this:
open your computer and search on windows; C://windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open up the hosts file in note pad you will see IP adresses and more add another line and put in this:
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
this is a by-pass to the cydia/saurik restore server, it has nothing to do with jailbreaking over voiding apple's warranty

I no longer have an email address that was also my Apple ID. Can I still use the email address as my Apple ID?
Apple recommends you change your Apple ID to your current, working email address. This will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address. See Changing the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
Note: @mac.com and @me.com Apple IDs can not be renamed. If you no longer use the .mac or .me email address be sure to add your valid email address as an additional email address.

Contact name does not appear after upgrading to iOS 5

I recently upgraded to iOS 5 and after doing so, contact name does not appear when someone calls; but text messages the name appears. I have saved all my contacts under +9 format.

This indicates that the phone was carrier locked and had been 'hacked' to unlock it. Updating the phone has re-locked it to the original carrier.
ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Not all do so. Contact the carrier and find out what their policy is.
If it's locked to AT&T, you may as well sell it and buy a new phone. AT&T will not unlock iPhones for any reason.

I am facing a problem, whenever I get a call contact name is not getting displayed, but if I check call history it will display the contact name. Can anyone help me with this please.?

Check this setting: go to your contacts > options > general options> make sure sort by is set up to first or last name. then check in address book options > filter and make sure you have no filters on...
If that does not help try this:
1) With the phone powered on
2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds.
3) Replace the battery cover and wait several minutes for it to reboot

I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.

After I updated to ios5 my calendar did not bring in dates and when I began re-entering dates after one or two it froze up and after I got it going again it will not populate an end time on the same date and will not save the appointment as a consequence.

After I updated my Ipad2 to IOS5 my calendar lost all appointments. After re-entering a couple of appointments it froze. After getting it going again, the calendar will not populate an end date for the current day and consequently I can't save the appointment. Is this a common problem as I have just purchased this ipad and the calendar function is very important to me.

Hmm... It looks like they are gone forever now then. I can't think of any other way of getting them back apart from restoring from an iTunes or iCloud backup. Somebody else might be able to help but I think they're gone forever. I don't know why they were wiped from your iPod but it could be something to do with security. In the future I would recommend syncing to iTunes or iCloud to prevent it from happening again. You can always make a reservation at the Genius Bar and see what those guys can do because it seems that they are still there, they are just 'hidden' from view. http://concierge.apple.com/reservation/gb/en/techsupport/

Address Book Contact Photos will not sync over to iPhone 2G

So here is the deal. I just bought a new 21.5" iMac w/ Snow Leopard. I had a iMac G5 with Leopard previously and rather than using migration assistant, i just copied over the applicable folders and files (per my research) so that my contacts would be present on the new computer. Everything seems fine except the contact photos will not sync over to my iPhone. Has anyone run across this? Help is greatly appreciated!
