Contact Not Being Shared from my Iphone 4S (IOS6) through message

Hi All
When I share a contact from my Iphone 4S (IOS6) through message then the recipients get a message " Attachment deleted from the message to adapt to your device capabilities". This is only happening with contacts and has never happened before. Kindly help.

Yes - I am aware of (#3) the SMS splitting issue - just thought it rather odd that they come in consistently out of order, regardless of what carrier they come from.
As far as iMesages and Apple system issues - This unforunately is shaping up to be another symptom of internal issues with Apple.  Steve would not have tolerated the inconsistent service.
I went to lunch and completely turned off "use iMessages".  I then sent several SMS messages, all of which were delivered as expected (though my wife received a photo that I had sent her two months ago at the same time!).
I then switched iMessages back on and tested it - and so far, all messages have gone through as they should.  I am wondering if Apple's server issues might have needed some kind of "reset" of my account by going through this again... who knows.
Either way - so much for the old Apple addage "it just works"....

  • SOME Contacts Not Being Pushed From iPhone to MobileMe

Some of my contacts aren't being pushed from my iPhone to MobileMe. Some aren;t being pushed from MobileMe to my iPhone. I have 51 contacts on my iPhone and 35 on my MobileMe. If i create a new contact on MobileMe it might be pushed or might not. Same goes with iPhone.
Anyone got any ideas or having the same problem? Im just using the internet based contacts because I'm on Vista

    One thing to try.
Export the photo, from iphoto, that will not sync to the iphone.
Make sure the file name has an extension. (something like .jpg or .bmp)
Import the photo back into iphoto.
Now try syncing the photo to the iphone.
    Hope this helps.

  • Sent messages not being received from my iPhone

Starting about three weeks ago, I began having sporadic issues with text messages (SMS) and iMessages not going through.  I don't appear to have a problem RECEIVING messages, other than they sometimes are delayed by as much as 20 minutes.
I have been on the phone with AT&T support - they point their fingers directly at Apple.  I have found no help from Apple on the issue (more finger-pointing).
Texts (SMS) to non-iPhone users are 99% working
Texts/Messages to iPhone users who have Messages set up - I can be having a "conversation" with them and the text bubble will change from blue to green... back to blue, back to green from message-to-message.  And about 50% of messages sent via "iMessage" are not going through.
Of interest - it appears that Messages sent via my MacBook Pro are not having the same issue.
One item of possible importance - I had to change my iTunes password right before this problem began (I had posted about an unauthorized movie purchase - which Apple took care of, but forced me to change both my password and to use a different funding source).
It was about that time that messages began to act odd.
I have tried all the settings in the "Messages" settings on my iPhone... turning iMessage off - still some SMS messages don't go through.  I read somewhere to turn off "Send as SMS" and that forces the issue... that imroved the successful sends somewhat.
I tried removing email addresses from the "Send & Receive" address list... no change.  I then added them back... no change.
It all also appears to be totally random. Sometimes all messages go through without a problem... at other times - the problem gets to the point I'm ready to throw my iPhone in the trash.
But all of this still doesn't clearly put the blame on either party...  Is Apple's software tring to swap to SMS for no reason, then not actually sending the message at all?  Or is the iPhone sending the message - but AT&T isn't handling them?  Neither party wants to admit an issue.

When I plug my iPhone into my Mac Mini running Lion my photos are not being transferred to my mac even tho the sync completes. The phone is running ios 5
    Help

I'm just clarifying here.  It sounds like you are using iTunes to sync your iPhone, which is fine, but iTunes isn't built to remove the photos off your phone and put them on your computer.  Try opening iPhoto and importing all your photos there.

Yes, you stop using the same Apple ID under Settings > iCloud.

  • When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.

    Problem:
When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.
Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
    Symptoms:
    1)   Sync:  It’s not completing the sync.  Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options.  I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
importing photos (step 6 of 7)
waiting for changes to be applied (step 7 of 7)
syncing apps / copying 1 of 4 (App name) (step 7 of 7)
    canceling sync
    apple icon
    2)   Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone.  All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto.  All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
    3)   Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list.  If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes.  But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
    Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago).  Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed.  I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive.  Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself.  However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive.  All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).
    Settings/Status:
    MacBook Air
    OSX v. 10.9
    iPhoto ’11 v. 9.5 (902.7)
    iPhone iOS 7.0.4
    iTunes v. 11.1.3 (8)
    Summary Tab
    Backups (This Computer)
    Options
Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected
Sync only checked songs and videos
    Photos Tab
Sync Photos from iPhoto (429 Photos)
Selected albums, Events, and Faces, and automatically include (no Events)
    Albums – 9 are selected

You need to download iTunes on your computer. iOS 6 requires the latest version of iTunes which is 10.7.

  • I want to delete a few contacts, apps, pics etc from my iphone, but when I delete and connect to my laptop they sync and come back again. How can I delete those items and not get them back when I connect my iphone to my laptop?

I want to delete a few contacts, apps, pics etc from my iphone, but when I delete and connect to my laptop they sync and come back again. How can I delete those items and not get them back when I connect my iphone to my laptop?
Also where exactly on the laptop is teh data stored.
    Thank you!!

go to 'Edit' in the menu bar. Then choose 'Preferences'.
you'll see a pop-up and there's a tab called 'Devices' there. If you click that, you will be able to check a box that says 'prevent automatic syncing for iPods, iPads and iPhones' or something like that.
    Hope this helps
NB: if you don't even see the menu bar that has options like 'File, Edit, View, etc', first click the black/white square button on the top left of your screen, and then click 'show menu bar'. It should pop right up.
    Good luck

  • My deleted emails on iPhone 4s are not being deleted from server

I'm facing a problem with my iPhone 4s when deleting emails. Unfortunately, they are not being deleted from the server. I tried setting the account in pop and imap with settings to delete from server and trash ticked. Still they keep on appearing in Outlook which is a double work to do. Please advise.

I'm no expert by far, but have had issues with this before.
IMAP should allow your iPhone to remove messages from the server.
But have you made sure both the iPhone and Outlook are connecting via IMAP?
If your iPhone does remove the messages from the server, but your computer is using POP, then the computer may download the email before it is removed form the server by your iPhone.
This was my issue, that my computer had already downloaded the message, and POP does not check later if it is deleted.
If you delete a message from Outlook does it disappear on the iPhone?
Alternativly you may need to check the email server settings.
    Who is your email provider?
They may be able to check if IMAP allows you to remove emails.

  • Some photos not being synced from Mac to iPhone

Some of my photos are not being synchronised to my iPhone. This includes certain photos within some iPhoto albums and some entire albums. I have tried to see if there are any problems with the photos which have not been synchronised, but they seem to be fine. No unusual characters in titles and no corrupted images, they seem just the same as the photos which are being synchronised. Anything I should try before getting in touch with Apple support? I've tried creating new albums to synchronise, deleting photos them reimporting them to iPhoto and even re-setting my iPhone, but exactly the same problem with exactly the same photos.
iPhone is running latest firmware (1.1.2), using latest version of iPhoto and iTunes, synchronising with my Mac Pro running 10.5.1

    One thing to try.
Export the photo, from iphoto, that will not sync to the iphone.
Make sure the file name has an extension. (something like .jpg or .bmp)

  • Why are random calendar events being deleted from my iphone when I sync it with ical?

My settings are such that events entered on both devices should push to both devices when I sync. The events being deleted from my iphone are not consistent (ie. older than a certain date), they are random.

This happens to me INCESSANTLY.  I'm looking at my calendar events one second, and POOF!, the next second all of the events I've entered into the calendar- with the exception of birthdays that are on the actual contact information for a person- are GONE.  My calendar settings are set to sync all events- no timeframe- and always have been.  This happened to me nonstop on my old iPhone 3GS, and I was sure it was the phone causing this issue.  Now, I have my new iPhone 5 in my hands and same ol'   , different equipment.  I have done EVERYTHING I can think of to prevent this from happening or to restore the data- including rebooting, holding home button and on/off at same time, etc.- and NOTHING works to restore the data.  And then, just as magically as the data disappeared, POOF!- the data is back randomly sometime later.  That "later" may be 5 mins, a day, several days.  This is an absurd and EXASPERATING glitch that APPLE NEEDS TO FIX IMMEDIATELY!!!  I'm starting to hate the iPhone and Apple in general when I continuously experience HUGE glitches like this that have a profound impact on what you're trying to accomplish within a feature that you DEPEND on... yet Apple has "never heard of that problem before".  You suck, Apple.  Don't send your problems out into the real world, to users who just gave you $800 for another glitchy piece of equipment that never solves your software issues.

  • When I was talking on phone, suddenly the phone was switched off. i tried to switch it on but it gave the message....connect to itunes for set up.  when I connected it to itunes...it gave the message, itunes can not read data from this iphone, restore it

when I was talking on phone, suddenly the phone was switched off.
i tried to switch it on but it gave the message....connect to itunes for set up.
when I connected it to itunes...it gave the message, itunes can not read data from this iphone, restore it to factory settings. It also said while restoring ypu will lose all media data but you can restore the contacts.
I restored the factory settings....the phone was on recovery mode...it was verified by itunes and all that..but in the end it again said that iphone has some problem and can not function right now.
after that when ever i connect it with itunes, it gives the message, it can not activate the iphone further, try again later or contact customer service.
What to do now?????? Customer service people say..it is hardware problem

If it's a hardware problem, then the phone will need to be replaced.
There is no magic that can fix a hardware problem.
