Contact not saving, multiple cards created.

Hello,
So I have a bunch of people I'm trying to manage for a project, and in order to keep their emails straight I tried adding them to my contacts so that their name appears instead of whatever weird email address they have. However in the case of one of them imail or contacts is refusing to display their name. I create the contact, open the contact card, type in their name and click done, and then when I switch back to the email the address is still there and moreover has switched back to a person not in my contacts and gives me the option to add them AGAIN. I've done this several times and it's driving me insane. What is going on?

Try going to Mail/Window/Previous Recipients and deleting the address that keeps coming up.

Adress book not saving new card

Since Lion my adress book cannot save a new card any more.
This is what i do, i add or make a new card manually or from importing a .vcf file
it appears fine in the adress book.
It does not update to MobileMe nor to the iPhone when syncing and when i close the adress book app and reopen the card is no longer there.
i tried to delete the user/Library/preferences/com.apple.AdressBook.plist and
user/Library/preferences/com.apple.AdressBook.abd.plist
but no change
Any thoughts on what to try next?

Yes, i can add a contact on MobileMe and it syncs to my adress book EVEN if i close and reopen...
(THEN i can edit the card in Adress Book and it stays in Adress Book!)

Amdcccle (Catalyst Control Center) not saving multiple monitor setting

I followed the wiki to the letter, but I cannot get any x window session to save the changes I make in amdcccle. All I am trying to do is get multiple monitors configured, and it works great with the catalyst control center but it never saves these settings.
I have done the following:
gksu amdcccle
gksudo amdcccle
also:
sudo aticonfig -f --initial=dual-head --screen-layout=right
and many other interations of aticonfig. The -dtop option complains that it doesnt work with RandR enabled.
I got this working a few weeks ago but can't remember what I did. If amdcccle could actually save the current configuration to file that would solve the issue but it simply will not.

When you updated the drivers did you install over top of existing software or uninstall beforehand?
First we should try ripping everything ATI off of the system, including software, drivers and CCC. You should be able to uninstall everything through Add/remove programs.
After you remove everything reboot and let windows reinstall it's own drivers and software. You don't need CCC to do dual monitors so we can do testing without it.
Once you let windows install see if your HDMI output no longer works when you switch to the TV.

Preview not saving multiple files

I sometimes have to crop a bunch of pics.Normally I do this in preview & just click 'save all' but recently this has not been working.It starts to save the first couple but then the progress bar just accelerates while making a blipping sound & the pics are left the same as before the cropping.
Grateful for any help

Contacts not saved in itunes

I just swapped my 3g yesterday for a new one...the other one was giving me tons of fits and bad service. Everything except my calendar and about 40 of my contacts tranfered to the new phone after I connected to itunes...luckily I was able to get my old phone back from the store before they shipped it out and got my numbers. Anybody have any idea why it did this? I've got the latest software and I synced it the day I took it back. I'm kinda confused.

Although contacts and calendar events are included with your iPhone's backup that is created and maintained by iTunes along with other data, it isn't a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for this data. Contacts and calendar events are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer.

6300 copy/print contacts not in sim card

guys i have a 6300 and dont use the sim card as i have more contacts then fit there. Using nokia suite i cannot see how to backup from phone memeory or print

1st connect your phone to your PC. to quote the nokia pc suite user guide
"To copy files/folders between a phone and a PC

2. In the Nokia PC Suite main window, click File manager to open Nokia Phone Browser,
OR in Windows Explorer, go to My Computer > Nokia Phone Browser > Nokia xxxx where xxxx is the model number of the phone. If you have given your phone a familiar name such as “My phone” the folder will have that name.
3. Drag and drop files or folders between your phone and a PC, or use copy-paste."
You should find a folder with your contacts in this menu, and you can then drag and drop it onto your PC hard drive.

Contacts created on iphone not saving to icloud

When I create a new contact on my iphone4 it is not saving in the icloud ... therefore not transferring to my PC. If I create a contact on my PC it is saving in the icloud and transferring to my iphone4. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

That must be the issue ... but how do I make sure when adding a new contact on the iphone that I am in the 'icloud' section? I am looking at the new contact screen on the phone and do not see that as an option.

I spent 2 days with Seth Resnick trying to correct this and we re created my catalog. It was ok, until I imported new images and same problem. Now I have a new problem, when I bring image to PS it saves it but does not bring back to LR. Am I the only one out there who has this problem?

Even if I create a catalog on laptop and import to my desktop on a thumb drive, the images are only accessible as long as the thumb drive is inserted.

Sounds like you may need to repair the Disk Permissions on your drive where your images are stored.

Contact picture not saved correctly

When I edit or add a picture to a contact it is not saved as edited. I usually get the left lower portion of the edit blown up. Any work arounds or solutions.

I have a similar issue, user has no photo in AD, yet when this user call another user incoming call toast displays his predecessors photo who has already left the company. We have already cleared photo cache folder....thoughts?

I also use a similar folder creation scheme (such a date naming is the default for the downloader). That way I never get a message about duplicates for the same file names.
However - I can't be the first or only person with this problem so I figure that some workaround must be known out there. Maybe the import action can recognize date taken or - well. Thank you very much in advance if you can help me out here.
You can alsways set the downloader to rename the imported files with a unique new name, there are many options in the 'advanced' dialog of the downloader. I don't know about Macs, but I don't thing there is a difference.

Thank you both very much for your assistance. I was able to figure out why the Adobe Application Manager kept failing on installing the patches. Idiot me didn't unzip them first. Once I unzipped the patch files, the installer worked fine. Both patches are now successfully installed; my FM version is now 12.0.2..
To answer some of your questions:
Yes, I have administrator privileges on my PC.
Yes, I had all of the files in the book opened when I generated and/or updated the LOR file. So that was not the issue.
With the patches installed, I opened a book and all of its files. I updated the LOR and all works fine – it gives me all of the Imported Graphic references. So there must have been an issue with that release of FM12 (12.0.0.329), which was fixed with the patches.
