Contact Pictures on 5g Ipod

Has anyone figured out how to get contact photos on Ipod? FOR WINDOWS, Not MAC. This is my last task. Everything else is working properly.

I've tried various things and nothing has really worked. By importing them one at a time from address book instead of using iTunes, I was able to get the pic for my contact to show up, but none of the others did. I tried trashing the file iTunes put in the contacts folder and resyncing... nothing. Tried selecting all contacts from Address Book and dragging into the contacts folder ... nothing. So I know it is supposed to work, but it seems as if it just doesn't want to.
Any ideas?

  • How do I export a picture from my contact list on my iPod touch?

I took a picture of a friend with my iPod's camera to put next to her information in my "Contacts book" on my iPod Touch.  I then deleted the picture.  She now wants a copy of that picture, and it seems the only place it is stored is in my "contacts."  Any way I can export it via email or directly through a USB port to an email, photo program, to her desktop, anything?  Thanks!

    - You do have iTunes version 11 on the computer, right. Saying the latest is not sufficient.
    - Have you tried everthing here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - You should

Your library/media will not be affected.

  • Pictures from my ipod touch do not show up when I try to import them

I am trying to import pictures from my iPod touch, but in iPhoto, nothing shows up except that it says "loading..." I'm not sure if this is a problem with my iPod or laptop.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all AB and resync
To delete all ADgo to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>AB and try deleting them from there
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • How to get contact pictures off iPhone

I saved a picture with most of my contacts on my iPhone. Now I'd like to get those pictures off of the iPhone and onto a computer. Can someone help?
So you know, I took the contact pictures from directly within the contact editor. I've tried sync'ing to my computer, but I only get thumbnails on my computer when I want the whole picture (I'm going to transfer the pictures to another iPhone).
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have no clue, but don't think resolution is all that crucial.
Even a low-res picture can help preserve an important memory. Or something that makes a good phone contact picture may likely also make a good avatar for flickr, twitter, etc, and it would not need to be full resolution for such purposes.
Nothing taken with the iPhone is all that high-res anyhow. IIRC, pix assigned on the phone show up full-screen, so it's probably not as low-res as the teeny photo assigned on the desktop and transferred via sync.
Incidentally, google turned up this method of retrieval, using the Mac:
If you click "edit" on the contact's entry in Address Book and then double click inside their picture, it will appear as a somewhat bigger version, which you can copy with command-C. But it's a far cry from full-resolution.

I can't test it, though, as I don't sync contacts, and really have no clue whether the iPhone sync contact pictures to Outlook on Windows, which I assume the OP uses.

  • Contact picture sideways

I'm wondering why my contact picture is displayed sideways in icloud.com but right side up when viewing my contact info on my iPod Touch?

But when you initiale a call to someone, the dialer is in normal view, not horizontal.

  • Contact Pictures

I see there is a small space for a picture of the contact in the Contacts vCard on the iPod. How do you add a photo to the vCard, and what size in pixels is generally recomended?
I'm using Microsoft Outlook to put the vCards together.

    Does this help?

I would imagine that they just have to be in the program you are syncing from. If you are on Windows XP, the pics would have to be in Microsoft Outlook.
You would add it here in Outlook...
If you are adding contacts manually (by dragging the vCard files to the iPod) then you cannot have pictures displayed. You have to be adding the contacts through iTunes.

  • Contact pictures in Address Book not being displayed

    Hi,
I am syncing my address book, calendar with Google. My "source" usually is the Mac address book. After having activated the "Mac <=> Google" sync, everything worked fine in the begining. But the last six weeks I seem to have a problem with the contact pictures:
I have created contact pictures for nearly 95% of my contacts. These pictures were copied to the address book either from iPhoto or from the web. Via Google sync, the contacts are transfered to my iPod touch, my iPhone and my Nokia Lumia 800.
Suddenly the contact pictures started to disappear from my Mac address book, but were still visible in my Google address book and my mobile devices.
When I started to add the pictures to my address again I realized that most pictures are still there, they were simply not being displayed in my Mac address book. By switching to "edit mode" and opening the picture field I could see the pictures again. After clicking "OK" the pictures is visible again.
I double checked all pictures, added the few missing ones and created an "address book archive". Yesterday all pictures gone again. I imported the archive, all pictures back again. This morning, the pictures are gone again. This whole thing doesn't seem to affect Google or the mobile devices.
Any idea what the problem with the address book is?
PS: Before you suggest to switch to iCloud. I need to sync my address book and calendar with all my mobile devices. If I would use iCloud, I would not be able to sync with my Nokia Lumia 800 (Windows Phone). And from comments in the forum, there seem to be similar problems with iCloud concerning address book information.
    Thanks for your ideas.

    I found this article online:

Export an Address Book Archive of all your contacts, then import it right back in. Worked like a charm.

  • Contact Pictures Jumbled Up

I use MobileMe and Exchange with contacts on both.
On my Mac all the pictures of my contacts look fine but on my iPhone the pictures associated with the wrong contacts. This seems to be only with contacts that come from Exchange.
Any way to resolve this short of deleting the exchange account from the phone and starting again?
    Thanks
    Ian

Same problem although it's the iPad that seems to do the jumbling. Never had a problem previously with my iPhone and iPod. And it's also only exchange contact pictures.

  • Apple Photo Stream is not pushing pictures from my iPod to my computer?

I have an iPod Touch 4g with iOS 5.0.1.
iCloud is set up on my iPod and computer.
When I take a picture on my iPod, it does go into the Photo Stream in the Albums, but when I go to check my Photo Stream Folder on my computer the picture is not there....how do I fix this?
I have restarted my iPod and computer.
In Settings>iCloud the Photo Stream is on.
In Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars the Fetch New Data is set to Push, it is ON, the fetch is for every 15 minutes, and under advanced the i Cloud is set to Push.
Why is it not automatically pushing my photos to my computer?
(I know it's set to 15 mins, but even after 30 minutes still nothing.)

Unless you chose to copy full-sized images to the iPod when you synced then all that’s there are tiny thumbnails and they are useless to you, even if you could recover them. They would print about the size of a postage stamp.
the pictures are still playing on my screen saver but I cannot find them anywhere on my hard drive.
These are simply cache files, and not recoverable.
Your best bet is to use a file recovery software on your Mac, such as File Salvage

I have an older iPhone (3gs) and need to upgrade to a newer phone (4S).  I need to get my NOTES, CALENDAR, CONTACTS, PICTURES, etc backed up on iTunes so I can get that data loaded onto the new phone.  But not sure how to do that.  When I open iTunes it has a button that say "Back Up iPhone", but I'm not sure what that does.  When I go into the sync options it say I have another user account and asks me if I want to merge of replace. I'm assuming it's trying to tell me I have an older iTunes Library, but don't know that.  Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.
