Contact Primary Account Address Shipping not Invoicing

In our contact layout we want the primary account address to be the Shipping Address not the Invoicing Address. This is because a number of our clients use a single billing agency to handle back-office transactions such as invoices and this is shown on the invoicing address. Shipping address is the physical location of the organisation.
Suggestions please?

Mark, the account object has two address blocks (Billing and Shipping) which can be renamed. The contact object inherits the account Billing address. The key is providing the proper naming of these two address blocks on the account object.

  • Contact pictures in Address Book not being displayed

    Hi,
    I am syncing my address book, calendar with Google. My "source" usually is the Mac address book. After having activated the "Mac <=> Google" sync, everything worked fine in the begining. But the last six weeks I seem to have a problem with the contact pictures:
    I have created contact pictures for nearly 95% of my contacts. These pictures were copied to the address book either from iPhoto or from the web. Via Google sync, the contacts are transfered to my iPod touch, my iPhone and my Nokia Lumia 800.
    Suddenly the contact pictures started to disappear from my Mac address book, but were still visible in my Google address book and my mobile devices.
    When I started to add the pictures to my address again I realized that most pictures are still there, they were simply not being displayed in my Mac address book. By switching to "edit mode" and opening the picture field I could see the pictures again. After clicking "OK" the pictures is visible again.
    I double checked all pictures, added the few missing ones and created an "address book archive". Yesterday all pictures gone again. I imported the archive, all pictures back again. This morning, the pictures are gone again. This whole thing doesn't seem to affect Google or the mobile devices.
    Any idea what the problem with the address book is?
    PS: Before you suggest to switch to iCloud. I need to sync my address book and calendar with all my mobile devices. If I would use iCloud, I would not be able to sync with my Nokia Lumia 800 (Windows Phone). And from comments in the forum, there seem to be similar problems with iCloud concerning address book information.

  • IPhone Contacts list missing Address Book Notes

    In my Address Book app I like to put a bunch of information in the Notes field. All other fields transfer over to the Contacts app on the iPhone but the Notes field doesn't show. How can I get Notes information in Address Book to appear in iPhone Contacts.app?

    Amendment: though some entries (if they're 5 lines or less) show complete, others appear truncated, others are repeated (two notes fields appear on the phone under the one entry) and still others are missing entirely. IOS 5.0.1, syncing using MobileMe.
    Is this a limitation of iPhone Contacts?

  • Contact Photos in Address Book Not Saving

    Hello,
    I am suddenly unable to save a photo to a contact in Address Book.
    I have run into a similar problem before, when Address Book stopped accepting changes to contacts altogether. I followed advice I saw on the web and deleted the .plist files for Address Book in the Preferences file in my Library. That worked like a charm. Now, that doesn't work.
    I have deleted the files, restarted my computer, verified and fixed permissions using Disk Utility, and let my computer rest overnight by leaving it off. Nothing works and I've tried several combinations of order.
    I am running Mac OSX 10.6.8 on a first generation Intel MacBook Pro. All software is up to date.

  • Transferring primary email address from one account to another account. Possible?

    Hi, I created my email address back in 2001 while still living with my parents. Since it was the first address to be created on the account, it has become the primary account address. Since then, I have used this email address for EVERYTHING. Credit cards, online subscriptions, social media, multiple websites that I operate... it is now a deeply-rooted part of my online presence. 
    However, I moved out and opened my own Comcast internet account in 2005, complete with a new primary email address. This hasn't been an issue, as my parents have stayed in the same place since then, and continued using the same Comcast account.
    The problem now is that they are preparing to move in a few months, and their Comcast account will be cancelled (and my precious email address with it!) I'm hoping there is a way to move my old email (the primary email address on my parents' account) over to my current account. I have not yet contacted Comcast customer support, as I don't want to accidentally have one or both of the accounts involved cancelled! 
    I suppose what I hope to learn here is what I would need to do to make this switch happen. Who should I call (I've read that the basic Comcast customer service line may not be able to do much for me...)?

    For this the account holder of the email will have to contact us to submit a transfer of email to a new account. If the names are different on each account, one of our advance techs will later call back and get both account owners on the line in order to authorize the switch. It can be done, but the whole process can take 3-5 days to be completed. Once ticket is submitted by call center agent, it usually takes 24-48 hours for the advance techs to contact you.   • CRM 5.2 - Account address not displayed under the address tab.

    Hi -
    For some accounts, addresses do not show in address tab or on contacts. Account does have an address that is displayed in the account overview section (BP_HEAD -> CorpDetailsEF) but it doesn't show in the address tab, or on any contacts created for this account.
    This seems to happen randomly as I have found no connection between the accounts that do not have the address displayed on the address tab of the account overview page.

    Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. The strange thing is every place I look it is correct. The mail account on my Mac is correct and functioning properly. The entries in the MobileMe System Preference is correct as well.
    Is there anyway to force iTunes to update the mail accounts listed or would i have to backup and then deleted the mail account on my Mac and redefine it. Would that work?
    The reason I am trying to get the sync to work is to try and get another problem resolved. My MobileMe Calendar and Contacts are not syncing wirelessly to my iPhone (although mail works fine). I've read in some cases syncing through iTunes will sometimes resolve this issue.

  • TS1389 Similar problem with our iPad.  Apps purchased with "old" USR name that is not an email address can not be updated.  Free Apps update OK, but purchased ones show box asking for the non-email USR ID which Apple no longer recognizes.  HELP

    Have tried to get Apple Tech Support and local Apple techs to deal with this problem to no avail.  Apple store "genius" throws up hands and says nothing can be done.  Root of the problem seems to be that the old non-email AppleID is stuck in their system creating a catch22 that it appears as the account purchasing Apps, then is not recognized as a valid ID, and then disallows any attempt to change it to a recognized email address.
    Consequence is that Apps appropriately purchased can not be updated.  Apple store advises us to delete them and repurchase, but this seems more Windowsian than Applian.  Any Ideas??

    Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.  I found an article that addresses Apple IDs that are different than the Primary Email Address on the account.  You will need to go to https://appleid.apple.com/ to "Make your Apple ID and email address one and the same."
    If your Apple ID and primary email address do not match, or they match but the email address is unverified, you can edit them.
    1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
    2. If you want to add and verify an email address that matches your Apple ID, follow the dialog box that says "Make your Apple ID and email address one and the same." This will automatically unverify that email address from any other Apple ID for which it was previously verified.
    3. If you want to change your email address to one that does not match your Apple ID, click Edit next to your Primary Email Address. If this email address is already associated with another Apple ID, you will need to sign in with that Apple ID and delete it before you can add it to your preferred Apple ID.
    Note: If you have an @me.com or @mac.com Apple ID and primary email address, you cannot edit your primary email address once it has been verified. To change your @me.com or @mac.com primary email address to another email address, contact Apple Support for assistance.

  • Forgotten password and primary email address does ...

    Hi, it seems i forgot my password and when i tried to reset it the program was asking for my primary email address to send an email to reset.
    My primary email address does not exist anymore and the program does not accept the secondary one.

  • Want to use I cloud but can't open primary email address for verification process

    Hi there, it's my first time to join the Apple community eventhough I have used Ipad for about two years I guess, n have loved it since then.
    Well, I have problem, I want to use I cloud, but I can't  as I have to give verification first by following the instruction from Apple which has been sent to my primary email address. The problem is, I have been unable to open my primary email address because I seldom use it. I use my rescue email address for all my email communication, instead. My question is: Is there any email address of the support staff  because I want the staff to send the instruction for my verification through my rescue email address?
    I have looked up the support page, though, and submitted question which I thought it was the best solution: I want to change my primary email address ( to the rescuer email address) but I was refered to the page " expresslane" which should have been the most convenient way, because all I had to do was just call n talk to the support staff. However, since I don't live in the US, but in a foreign country, talking on the phone is not convenient for me.
    I would really appreciate it if any one can help me with this because I can't wait to use I Cloud. Thank you.

    Suzy this usually means your apple id primary email address was not verified when you setup your apple id. What you will want to do is go to appleid.apple.com and try and log in under manage your apple id, if it tells you its sent a verification email you can change that email to something else by clicking edit (this cant be your rescue email though) once done a new email should be sent that you can verify and then use icloud. Hope this helps

    I'm afraid that once an address has been associated with an Apple ID you can't re-use it in any way. You will have to create another address (such as a free on from GMail or Yahoo for example).

    If you are only updating apps, that's normal  Apps and other purchased media are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them.  You also don't back up apps or music to iCloud, the only thing backed up to iCloud is your app data, which is part of your iCloud backup by default.
    Is your phone signed into the old ID in Settings>iCloud?

    Oops, I found the answer to my question. Great knowledge base! I had originally imported via the automatic popup dialog box that appeared when I installed TB, and didn't absorb at the time that there would be a way to do an import later, after TB install, too, and even for specific parts of OE (address book vs. mail messages, etc.).

    To change it, you have delete the existing account.  However you can avoid losing any pictures in the process.  To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.  (Camera roll photos are not effected by deleting the account.)
    Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
