Contact sheets -- can you include metadata?

We need produce a contact sheet that includes a small amount of metadata, specifically image dimensions and dpi. Obviously I don't want to type all of this in.
Any ideas about how to do this?
Thanks!

Hi,
Contact Sheet II does not have the option to include metadata for captioning. Since you don't have InDesign, try the link below.

  • How can you create a contact sheet that you can email?

I see that you can print a contact sheet but how can you make a contact sheet that you can email where receiver can open the thumbnails and view?

    Hi,
You can either use Bridge and the Output workspace, or grab optional plug-ins for CS5 and run Ps on OSX in the 32 bit mode. (Or grab the excellent 3rd party script, Contact Sheet X, and run that in Ps. http://ps-scripts.sourceforge.net/ContactSheetX/csx.html).

  • Can you include navigational attribute in export datasource

Can you include a navigational attribute in an export datasource?  If so, how.
    Thanks.
    Sandy

    hi sandy,
i don't think so. navigational attributes are not available. you need to understand that in case of an ODS object the export data source is generated out of the change log table, so if any field missing in the change log table it will not be part of the export data source.
In case of cubes the characteristics and key figures reflects in the export data source.
but why do you need navigational attributes in export data source ? it conflicts the nature of nav attributes as you will be storing the history statically with reference to the data when it was loaded. if you really want the same nav attributes in your subsequent data targets then include the characteristic which has the desired nav attributes in your target cube and map it from the export data source of the source info-provider. Switch on the nav attributes in the target info-providers.
    hope it helps
    thanks

I received a message about having too many contacts?  Not sure what this means, didn't know there limitations on contacts.  Can you tell me about fixing this problem?

What were you doing when you received the message?
I have seen reports on these forums where there is a limit to how many contacts you can have in the "to" field of a text message. That is the only thing I can think of where someone has reported getting a warning about too many contacts.

Have you not been using your phone as designed?  Contacts should be living in the cloud (Google, iCloud) or on your computer in an app (Outlook, Address book).
The phone is designed to be a portable way to carry a COPY of your contacts with you.
Synch your contacts to your new phone from the computer app or cloud service you use.
If you haven't been using your phone as designed, then there's nothing to do.

  • Contacts & iCloud: can you have more than one iCloud account syncing with Contacts on the Mac?

I want to set up a shared iCloud account for multiple users in a (very) small office environment, where several new iOS devices and, for the moment, two Macs (2012 13" MacBook Pro and 2013 Mac Mini) will be able to read/write to a shared Contacts account – and at the same time maintain a second, personal iCloud account linked to the same Contacts app on one machine, which account's contacts data will remain private and inaccessible to the other Macs/devices which are likewise using the shared account.
Can this be done? (I.e., can Contacts app on a Mac include separate iCloud accounts?)
If so, how to set it up?
    Thanks

Thanks for your answer. There's no problem with others accessing that Mac – it's used by one person only – my question is can you add a second iCloud account to Contacts. Over the past two days I had tried to add the shared iCloud account to Contacts and kept getting failures. But maybe the server was down or the ISP was weird: your response assumes it can be done and so, to my embarrassment, I tried again just now and violá, it's done. Thanks again.
P.S. Finding a simple presentation that makes clear you can have more than one iCloud accounts syncing to Contacts at the same time was very hard to find, either from Apple or others on the web. Maybe I don't know how to search, but they could do with a clear explanation of this for the uninitiated.

  • Can you include two movies and formats in a keynote presentation?

One being a video podcast, the other being a clip from a store bought movie. And how would you include them? Thanks

As to the podcast, Keynote  would do this by opening a web browser at a specific page using a hyperlink, it is unable to show the live video stream  playing within Keynote.
Inspector > Hyperlinks > tick the 'enable hyperlink' option and type in the URL
Its actually better to just have the web browser open at the required page.
Using a retail video is fraught with problems; copy protection will block copying, digital rights management will block playing and it is illegal to circumvent these protections. It is also illegal to copy retail distribution video, unless you have explicit written permission from the distributor.

  • Can you include Norele in search engine list?

I was looking through the list of linked search engines in your list of 100. Could you include http://www.norele.com in the list next time you compile?

    Install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-to-search-bar/
Then go to any site which has a search field, place the cursor inside it and then right click and choose "Add To Search Bar".
You could also consider adding this one too: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/context-search/
This will allow you to highlight a word or phrase on a web page, right click it and then use your search engines to look for it.

  • Can you import metadata from an excel database to images (JPG, PSD, TIF) in bulk?

I am very new to working with metadata. I have a microsoft excel file with the IPTC Core fields I need for each image file.
(Creator, Headline, Description, Keywords, Title, Job Identifier, Credit Line, Source, Rights Usage Terms, Copyright Status and Copyright Notice)
Is there a way to get the metadata into the files without having to copy from a cell into each metadata field individually?
I am hoping some for sort of script, possibly...
Also, if only ONE of these fields needed updating in all of the files (i.e. Rights Usage Terms) can that be done?
I have Bridge 5.1 (and earlier versions CS3/CS4)

Yes Paul, exactly like that. Thanks for this - at least I know it's possible...
I am not such a script writing guru that I know how alter it to include all of the fields I mentioned in my original post tho'.
    Missing fields I would require:
Creator (bridge no longer calls this Author - as listed in the script - I guess that's an easy switch)
    Job Identifier (text field)
    Credit Line (text field)
    Source (text field)
    Rights Usage Terms (text field)
Copyright Status (this is a pull-down in Bridge CS5 that you select "Copyright" Public Domain" or "Unassigned)
    Copyright Notice (text field)
Is there a script that covers the "IPTC core" fields in their entirety - or maybe an easy way to alter the script to include the missing fields I need?

  • Metadata - Can you lock Metadata to prevent changes

Using Aperture can I lock IPTC fields so that once I input the data and export images...other people can not change my metadata? (Other then in the original file stored within Aperture) For example I would like to lock my contact info and copyright fields when I export the images and email them around etc....
When I open my jpg or any file in Bridge I can change all IPTC Metadata. Can I prevent these changes?
    Software:
    OS 10.4.11
    Aperture 2.1
    Adobe CS3
    Thanks

No, there's no way to do that. Once you've exported a JPEG or TIFF file, any image editor can change IPTC information -- there is no DRM equivalent in the file format to "watermark" this info in there.

  • How many sheets can you save in a Numbers file?

Hi folks.  I am desperate for help.  I have a very important Numbers file that I am working with, where I need to add 289 "sheets" to a single file.   Everythign was fine, until I am trying to add my 146th sheet.   When I add that next sheet, It will no longer auto save or let me manually save!
I can't find any file size or number of sheet limits.
What can I do?  I really must have each sheet on the same file.
    Please advise.
    Drew

    Drew,
According to the following discussion, Yvan Koenig states that you can have 255 Tables per Sheet and 255 Sheets per Document:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/7813797#7813797
In my opinion, anything approaching this order of magnitude belongs in an Office or Office-clone app. Numbers is bound to choke sooner or later with this much data.
If you are certain that you haven't hit one of these limits, there may be other reasons you can't save that we can't guess with the information that you provided.

  • Can you include ibooks in RSS to PSM?

    Hello all
We've tried to add an iBook to one of our Oxford iTunes U RSS feeds and have been surprised to discover it's not working for us in the same way that .epub files do. We are getting the unsupported resource extension error (text below). Could anyone tell us whether we: a)Should be able to publish ibooks in the feed? & b) Is there a mistake in how we are presenting the resource in the RSS?
    Many thanks
    Carl.
    Error text:
iTunes U could not update the content because iTunes U encountered an unsupported resource extension in the URL (http://media.podcasts.ox.ac.uk/internet/geographies/geographies.ibooks?CAMEFROM= itunesu) specified in feed (http://rss.oucs.ox.ac.uk/oxitems/generatersstwo2.php?channel_name=internet/geogr aphies-video&destination=itunesu). Until the issue is resolved, iTunes U continues to display the last downloadable version of the content. Verify that the feed resources contain only approved content types (mpeg audio, mp4 video, QuickTime video, PDF, mp4 audio) with appropriate file extensions (mp3, mp4, mov, pdf, m4a), and then try again.

    Hi Erik,
This doesn't make sense to us particularly. Course Manager provides a way of wrapping any resource on the iTunes Store (i.e. including iTunes U content), and that "wrapper" can then be published in the iTunes U section via the Public Site Manager webapp. We understand that Course Manager can act as a repository for ibooks, or they can be published to the iBookstore - but this doesn't explain why we can't have ibooks in our regular RSS feeds which already contain a mix of document types (including epub, even though that's not listed above as a valid option). We know the iPad is happy to open the ibook from visiting the RSS feed directly, so the only limitation seems to be on the PSM parsing....
Which brings me back to the two questions asked: Should we be able to do this, and have we made a technical error in how we've done this?
    Thanks
    Carl
