Contacting apple with new product idea

I have an idea for a new product for apple and was just wondering if anyone knew a way of contacting them apart from the unsolicited ideas page. I am not prepared to give them this idea for free, seeing as they could make millions and millions of dollars off the back off it. I can see this idea being able to be sold for around $500 - $800 in america or £500 - £750 in the UK. The people that this idea is aimed at would be willing to spend that amount of money because they spend more on other things that go with this new idea. No new technology is needed everything already exists and just needs putting together
It is totally original and there is a market out there already for it. The market already exists and would be really easy to break into as there is not one major player in this specific market.
Any help would be great

If the idea is that good, run with it yourself, wait for Apple to steal the idea and then sue them.
And that is exactly why Apple doesn't listen to unsolicited ideas, the fear that a very rough idea will be presented, Apple rejects it, but will in the future develops some other method that bears a vague resemblance to the original idea and the person who first mentioned the idea sues.
So, Chopper, you do indeed need to give this notion up. Either just send your feedback to Apple, develop your own company or approach some other company to develop your idea, or just drop it. Apple will not listen to you.

  • How do I contact Sony with new product they might be interested in incorporating into their products

One of our strategic business partners has invented a circuit chip. It will eliminate the standby power consumption in all electronics equipment. Please note - NOT REDUCE standby power,  ELIMINATE standby power. This will work on all electronics that have vampire or standby power. TV, DVR, DVD, microwave ovens, X-box, etc. Also chargers of all kinds for power tools, personal hygiene products, cell phones, etc.
On Jan. 12th of last year, the California Energy Commission passed the first state mandated efficiency standard targeting vampire charging systems. The new standards begin taking effect Feb. 1st, 2013 for chargers with consumer goods, Jan. 1st, 2014 for industrial chargers, and Jan.1st, 2017 for commercial equipment chargers. It sounds like this mandate will be updated to include more products soon.
The U.S. Dept. of Energy is paying very close attention to this and encouraging all other states to do so as well. In addition (because gov’ts across the globe are stretched very thin), there is chatter among several global energy commissions to implement new international standards for all vampire energy consuming goods in the near future.
As of September 1, average electricity consumption of Energy Star qualified products are to drop to 97 kilowatt hours a year from about 138, and by the middle of 2013, they must decrease to 29 kilowatt hours per year.
To combat the problem of phantom load consumption (aka standby power), our clients have invented a unique power circuit which uses zero standby power. They are currently in the initial process of designing the circuit into chip form and for a limited time they are strategically seeking a select handful of companies interested in providing test verification assistance. Currently they are working with eSilicon in Carlsbad, CA to develop the actual chip.
This should be a perfect fit for Sony products but I am not sure who to contact. Any ideas/contact information would be appreciated.

  • Does apple change the old products such as new ipad 3 with new products?

Does apple change the old products such as new ipad 3 with new products?

If you mean 'Can I bring in my 3 and swap it our for a 4' no. They don't do that.
If you  have a broken 3 and take it in for a warranty replacement, you'll get the same make and model in return.
The only way you can exchange a 3 for a 4 (let's say, using those as an example) is if you bought your 3 14 days or less before the 4 is released. You can return the 3 and get a refund then use that to purchase the 4.
So for an occasional 14 days before the release of a new model. That's the only time for mixed model exchanges. Beyond that it's like for like.
If you have a 3 and want a 4, sell your 3 then use the proceeds towards your 4.

    Hi,
For custom forms and reports, you need to open it using Forms/Reports Builder 10g, compile it, and upload it again to the server.
For the CUSTOM_TOPs, make sure it is set in the custom<CONTEXT_NAME>.sh file under $APPL_TOP, and in default.env file on the Applications tier.

  • New product ideaI, time to start a headphone revolution(iHead)

The headphones( especially the big ones) are popular with  people of all ages with its cool look and function, the market is getting bigger and bigger, and I think it's about time for Apple to enter that market. We all know what Apple is most famous for taking whatever is already in the market to a new level, Apple's headphone will be different from the existing headphone. When I use my headphone, I don't like how I have to drag my phone or ipod around, so I've been thinking it would be awesome if the headphone can store music. In that case you don't need to plug it into anything when you use it. This kind of headphone is perfect for Apple to make, because Apple has been making ipod for years(which nobody uses anymore), and it has experience in making ear buds too, so the technology is already there, all they need now is a cool design, which is what Apple products are famous for. I'm thinking that they can simply integrate the existing  ipod into the headphone. This new product is a headphone that can function like an ipod, or in another word, a ipod that you can put over you ears, and lets call it iHead for now. How do you select music you might ask. I'm thinking they can make ipod a detachable part of the headphone with a little screen on it, you can take it off, select the song you wan to listen, and clip it back. A headphone like that would be too expensive you might say. To solve that problem, the headphone can be sold separately with the ipod, and is compatible with the existing ipod. If you already have the ipod or don't want it, you don't have to get it, iHead can still be plugged into other things like a traditional headphone.  I have no doubt that Apple can make superb sound quality headphones that can compete with the top brand headphones, and the extra feature will definitely let it steal the market share like how ipod did few years back. On top of that,  the sale of iHead can also boost up the sale of iPod too.  I can totally see this idea come to life. I don't know how to communicate my idea to apple, that's why I'm just putting it here. If any of you know how to submit idea to apple, please let me know and let me know how you think of it too.

  • Contacting Apple Support About Product

I have just recently purchased  a pair of the Apple EarPods with remote and mic. After three days of the purchase date, I had only used them twice, one of the ears stopped making any sound. There has been no damage to these headphones and I haven't blared music into them, so I have no explanation as to why this happened. I also purchased these directly through Apple. I am now trying to figure out how to contact Apple to notify them of this problem and see about getting a refund. I can't seem to find anywhere that deals with this. Where can simply tell Apple that they sold me a defected product?

If you purchased within the last fourteen calendar days, call the Apple Store. If it's been longer, call Apple Support. You can find phone numbers for both by clicking the "Contact Us" link at the bottom-right of these web pages.

  • How can i contact apple with a problem after 3 months of phone support is finished

My wife's ipad 3rd gen purchased in April 2012 has a problem with the home button being unresponsive 50% of the time. • Is there a way to contact Apple with concepts?

I have a valid concept that would utilize existing Apple iconsumer devices in a way that hasn't been presented yet. It could probably get mostly built into an app, but think Apple itself would benefit by writing it into their AppleTV coding. Many have commented on the uniqueness of the idea right under our noses. Even Apple store employees have marvelled at the fact it isn't out there yet.
Any idea if there is a legitimate forum for presenting ideas to Apple?

    Nope.
    I forgot about this link.

  • Contact Apple with a great iTunes idea

Does anybody have a clue how to get idea submissions for iTunes? I have a great idea that I would love to pass along to them that would hopefully get built into iTunes. I don't want money, just a better iTunes.
I have about 13,000 songs on my Mac, although a lot of songs have intros or are just 2 parts. It would be awesome if I could lock songs together, so if an intro or part one of a song would play, the second part would follow.
I would imagine that could be done easiest just like locking a number of songs together just like you do layers in Photoshop, then assign an order to the locked songs.
How awesome would it be if you didn't have to go through the trouble of merging songs together to get them to follow suit. Like for instance, if Eruption started to play, (by Van Halen), You Really Got Me would automatically follow. Any ideas? Feel free to email me at [email protected]

  • MacBook Pro Stuck at Grey Apple with New 8GB of RAM

So I recently purchased 8 GB of RAM to upgrade my 2010, 13", Intel Core 2 DUO, 2.4GHz with Lion MacBook Pro from the original 4 GB it had. But once the new RAM sticks were installed. The computer proceeds to but to the Grey Apple logo during boot and freezes every-time the wheel begins to spin. From that point I decided to put one of the original 2 GB sticks back into the computer and leave one of the new 4 GB sticks in as well. Guess what, the computer booted fine.
This makes no sense to me as I know this computer can take 8 GB of RAM but yet it will only work when I have one of the original sticks in making my total RAM 6 GB. Any ideas how to fix this issue?
Here is the exact RAM stick I ordered:

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I hope you have return privileges.
Macs are notoriously 'picky' about RAM. Just because modules are advertised as meeting the specs doesn't mean they will work reliably.
I learned the hard way with a RAM upgrade from a manufacturer who did not guarantee Mac compatibility. They did replace them once, yet the RAM still didn't work without frequent Kernel Panics.
RAM from Apple, Crucial, and OtherWorldComputing (www.macsales.com) seems to work well for most people who discuss it here in the forums. With other brands, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

  • Syncing contacts/calendar with new computer

I am replacing my laptop, and I've found lots of information on how to correctly move my itunes library, but have one question - do I need to do anything regarding moving my contacts and calendar, which currently syncs with Outlook? Or when I first sync my ipod touch on my new laptop, will it just automatically populate the new Outlook with all of my contacts and calendar? I'm concerned (obviously) about losing my data, though I will backup my touch before doing anything. Thanks for any insight.

When you sync you iPod to anew computer the contents on the iPod will be erased and replaced with those on the new computer. Thus you have to also move your Outlook stuff to your new computer. I thin there is a way to export the info and then import it in the Outlook on your new computer. If you move the backup of your iPod to you new computer and then after it is erased, restore it from the backup. However, some other users have reported that it did not work. You can find the location of the backup file here:

  • Apparently my Mac is too old now to sync with newer products. How do upgrade the software/hardware so i can keep up to date. I love my mac and dont want to buy a new one. Is it possible?

Help! I am struggling and im really not a wizz with technology. I must have missed the morph into the new world! I have a macbook (i think!) and i found that im still running off the version 10.5.8. I have just plugged in my new ipad, and tried to get it synced with Itunes and it said i needed a newer version.
Am i able to upgrade to a newer version and if so, how do i do it...i really dont want to throw out this computer because it is awesome...can someone please help me?

To be able to connect with the devices that need a newer version of iTunes, you are first going to need to upgrade you OS X.  To do this from where you are at, first you need to make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements for OS X Snow Leopard which you can find here http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575 and then after verifying that it can, you then need to order the Snow Leopard CD from Apple to do the upgrade.  You can purchase the CD from them for $19.99 and when it gets to your house, you can insert the CD in the drive and press the "C" key while booting your computer.  Then you'll get the install wizard from the CD which will give you directions you need to install Snow Leopard on your computer.  After getting that installed, make sure you update the software on your computer and it will get you what you need to be able to Sync your devices.  After you get Snow Leopard installed, if you wanted to go further you could then upgrade to 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion if your computer can handle those as well, and you can do that right from the App Store that will be available to you from Snow Leopard and you don't have to order a CD for those.

  • Don't get support  of Apple with NEW MacBook Air !!

Since then i have problems with it.
Apple touchpad moving = ok but click on any place = NOK
    keybord forced quit don't respond
only solution was to powercyble the IMac
2 weeks ago i have buy also a MacBook Air with Lion
Yesterday i had a support engineer that told me to reset the IMac true cmd alt R and P keys
and to call back when it hapend again.
Yesterday night i had a "escalation" of the issue, on the top right corner i lost most of the icons , like wireless network date and time name etc....
If i go to system prefferences and open networks it hangs
tested with another admin user account same issue
Today a apple enigeneer called and the first wat he asked is when i have buy the mountion Lion software , i told it was 31 July but due workload only last week installed.
It is today 3 days over time and he will not give me support ! That when i have a 2 weeks old MacBook Air intront of me.
Do i need to go to Microsoft to get support ?
I'am on the point that the 3 iMac's here in house , 2 iphones, Macbook air airports (3)  and all other junk of apple wil go fly true the window !

It was a new and clean install of Mountion Lion , i don't like update/grade's of pref system
Mayby it was happend because i use VLAN's on my network, i had 5 VLAN's defined and there where working fine.
    until it screwed up
The only what i have now is a usb disk and backup manualy all my stuff
think i will install lion back instead mountion lion
