Is there a way to contact sky without going through the automated phone service my home phone doesn't send out a button tone and I can't work out how to email them I know about the live chat but it never seams active I don't want to use my mobile because I pay enough to sky as it is. Tks

The pin is the last 4 numbers on your viewing card which you can find via SETTINGS > SYSTEM DETAILS on your Sky box, or you can set it to whatever you want via this link:

Connecting via airport to Sky broadband

Has anybody had any problems connecting to Sky broadband via their built in airport?
When I try to connect my iMac I am unable to do so unless I use a cable direct into the router. The message that I recieve is cannot find PPPoE host.
I have tried contacting Sky and they can only tell me that there is a problem with my mac which I know their isn't.
I would be very grateful if anybody can help

yes - i have the exact same problem - have been plugged in directly for 2 years now - cannot do wireless. I am moving soon - hope I can get router next to Mac lol

How can I get firefox to reconize my sky caddy

I have been trying to sync my Golf Sky Caddy and firefox is blocking it. It states that it doesn't reconize it. How do I correct this issue?

BT line slammed by SKY

Like other customers I have been advised numerous times my problem would be resolved each time I have been promised call backs guess what no call backs.
My problem is my telephone line has been slammed by SKY, BT have acknowledged this, they have also advised me that my e mail is on file telling them not to allow sky to take the line. On the 2nd January 2010 SKY slammed the line and took it over I only found out later when I received a detailed statement form SKy with telephone calls on it as from the 2nd January 2010. When I contacted BT first they were not aware my line had been taken over, and were adamant it was still with BT I faxed my copy of my SKY bill to them they soon changed their mind and admitted SKY had slammed my line this is the terminology they use for this.
They advised me to contact SKY this I did the guy at SKY admitted what had happened despite having a e mail from me advising I was not taking up the deal/offer they had offered me I was to stay with BT has they had now matched the SKY offer. The guy at Sky said he could close the account forthwith but said I would then be left with no telephone line or Broadband. The broadband is still with BT as I did not supply the MAC code to SKY, he advised me to contact BT who would then get the line back.
This I have been trying to do I have an incident number, I have spoken with a JO ANNE BISHOP a REF TERESA a Tim a Daniel and a Matthew all of which promised it would be sorted out. I have out of pocket expenses with SKY of £30 plus £11 line rental. I have also just had a direct debit taken from my account by BT in the sum of £213.32 which includes a £30 cancellation charge and a £165.20 broadband cancellation charge, I have cancelled nothing I still have my Broadband with BT my line is with SKY.
Can you please advise how do I sort this out I am talking to a brick wall at BT. I have advised them I am registered disabled with a serious heart condition, I simply cannot take the stress of trying to sort this out are you able to offer any advice please.

Can I install ths sky tv guide and safari browser ...

I am trying to install the sky tv guide on my Nokia E90 Communicator. It tells me it is not compatible with this phone.
Is there any way I can install this? Is it just a case of installing some other software first or upgrading something?
I would very much like to install this program as it gives the facilty to click on a program and send a message to my sky box telling it to record a program for me.(remote record).
I have tried doing the same thing from the "my sky" website and then clicking on the tv listings but it then asks me to install the latest safari browser in order to do this. When I try to install this it won't let me install that either.
I have contacted sky already for help on this but they are no help! They keep putting me on hold then coming back with no advice.
Please help.

Step 1: If you’re one of the millions with Sky+ or Sky HD at home. Head to Sky’s Remote Record registration page online and create a MySky account.
Next grab your Sky remote, hit the interactive button and choose Sky Active. Head to the customer support section and choose the option to select your Sky features. Click on Remote Record and seal the deal by hitting the ‘Sky.com user’ option.
Once it’s set up you can text instructions to your box. Just tap in the programme name, channel name, date and time of the recording separated by full stops, then send it to 61759. You’ll get a text back confirming the scheduled recording so you’ll know it’s worked. Each text costs 25p.
Step 2: If you’ve got a 3G phone you can use a special programme guide on your handset to send recording info to the set-top box. Log in to Sky’s website using the account you set up earlier. Follow the instructions to download Sky Anytime to your phone and run it from your ‘Applications’ folder. Once it’s loaded, choose ‘Sky TV Guide’ and pick a programme type. Find the show you want and select it. Choose record and your set top box at home will make sure it’s safe for when you get back. Make sure you set recordings at least 30 minutes before they’re due to start, or your instructions might not make it to the box in time.
Step 3: If you’re without Sky there’s still a way to set up remote recording at home. If you’re using a Mac check out Elgato’s Eye TV products, they’ll let you watch Freeview channels on your computer but best of all they come with a year’s free subscription to TVTV.co.uk – it’s an online programme guide that lets you tell you Mac to record from any computer with access to the web – you can even access the site on your phone’s web browser and set it to record from there. Just make sure your Mac’s Eye TV preferences are set to wake up the computer to check for recordings every hour under ‘Guide’.

My iMac and Netgear Router from Sky Broadband are having problems

Hi, I've got a fair amount of knowledge in these area's. I not long switched to Sky Broadband a couple of weeks ago. The problem lies with the connection to the router that they supply for their service, a Netgear DG834GT. The problem is that my connection to the 802.11g network is extremely slow.
My iMac, even tested in the same room shows 20-30% signal. This compared 2 a Windows Vista laptop at 5bars and top speed downstairs, and two PC's (XP) either end of the house with the same normal signal quality.
Contacting Sky Broadband, they assume that the fault is with the iMac and are state that they can't really help because I am not using a wireless adapter supplied by them (If it's even compatible).
Does anyone know the solution to this? I've heard of many other users with similar problems on different Mac's but no-one seems to have a fix.
Also running bootcamp, ive found my signal strenth to me maximum, but my speed to still remain at 22Mb/s peak, and roughly 1-2Mb/s when browsing the internet.
Lastly I have WPA-PSK enabled, and i've tried adjusting wireless channels without having any luck improving the signal. I would be gratefull if anyone knew any ways to fix this problem, thanks

Buy the Wireless N adapter from Apple and install it. Even though the only specified effect is adding the N router capability, it fixes the problem you mentioned (worked like a charm for my friend).

Sky Go. iPhone/Macbook

Why has my sky go suddenly stopped working on both my iPhone 6, and my Macbook air? It was working fine a few weeks ago and now it tells me to check my registered devices (despite me deleting them all!!!). Operating system on Macbook - Yosemite 10.10.4 iPhone - iOS 8.4 Help?!

It is to late now but you should never delete all your registered devices no matter what the error is. This is because we are only allowed to register one device per month meaning that if you plan to still use all your devices it could take you two months or four months to get them added again depending on how ,any devices you are using.
What you should have done is to contact Sky by phone or Live Chat is it was telling you to check the registered devices when devices were registered. You will still need to do this if you are getting this error now.

Sky Anytime+ incredibly slow!

I transferred from Sky broadband to BTInfinity a few months ago. This past 6 weeks we've noticed Sky Anytime+ programmes take ages to download. For example last Sunday a film took 3+ hours. I've contacted Sky and they say becasue my broadband isn't with them they won't investigate....great! So Any ideas. The sky box is wired directly into the router, getting at least 15mb download. Are there any additional settings on the router I need to implement?

The core would not matter in this case. Its their content servers for the anytime+ service which cant handle all the demand.
Anytime+ has been incredibly slow for me but the speeds for content to download has gotten faster and items are ready to watch within 10 seconds now.

Ordering Sky Go Extra?

I currently have been with Sky for a few years and I have the multiroom extra as well, so I qualify for free Sky Go Extra. But when I go through the website to Opt In it brings me to a page where I have to confirm the change to the package. I just want a Sky representative to state to me very clearly that by proceeding here that I am simply modifying my subscription and not renewing it and therefore being locked in to a contract for another 12 months.

You are going to have to turn OFF Wifi on the Sky router device so its just a modem.
String an Ethernet cable off of the Sky router to an Apple Airport/Time Capsule device and have that create a stable WiFi network.
Using WDS protocols you can now add additional Apple Airport expresses as needs be to extend the Wifi signal area.
In theory you should able to extend an existing network however inter-operability between differing manufacturers is flaky at best.
Caveat using extenders Will degrade the performance of your network.
So its going to be more expensive - Need Two Airport devices and you my need support in creating the network (you may have to log in to the Sky provided routers advanced settings in the Java Control Panel and from a web browser to turn off features such as Wifi and IP addressing)
You may be better contacting Sky as they may actually have a compatible network extender (BT certainly do for their Home Broadband routers) available.

Moved phone to Sky - possible to move back?

We just moved home and moved from BT broadband and phone over to Sky. Long story, not happy with Sky Talk - is it possible to now cancel Sky Talk and move the phone back to BT? Broadband I guess will stay with Sky for now if that's possible.

How do I talk to someone from SKY re contract and negotiations

To find out how long left I your contract just login here to your billing section:

And look for the date you were first bill and when your Sky services were activated and add a year onto this.
There is no such thing as a recontract, we just continue as usual the only difference being once the 12 months is up we can cancel by giving Sky 31 days notice. If you want to recontract then it is likely you will be locked into another 12 month contract.
If you want to contact Sky then try using the sky service app as you can use this to request a call back.
