Contacts and Calendar not syncing

I know everyone is having issues with calendar and outlook but I am having an issue with contacts and calendar. Anyone else having an issue with both.

I sync'd my iphone and lost all my contacts, in the phone and in my address book on my mac. You are not the only one.
Hopefully someone can help to get my information back.

  • Contacts and Calendar not sync'ing with Outlook 2010

All was fine today until (maybe coincidental - maybe not) I had a Microsoft Exchange email account added to my Outlook 2010.  I have an iPhone 4, and I usually sync daily, especially when calendar or contact changes take place.  I am currently not using the icloud, so all contacts and calendar events would be way too outdated.
I have checked my Outlook settings under "info" and cannot get my contacts and address to load.  I even see the "Contacts syncing"..."calendar sync'ing" when the overall iTunes sync takes place with my iPhone.
    Help!!

Yes, it is. Do you have Desktop Manager v6?
    Download Desktop Manager from here:

  • Contacts and Calendar not syncing from phone to outlook

I am having a problem with my iphone 4 that I never with my iphone 3G and not sure how long its been going on.
When I had my iphone 3 whenevewr I would create or change a contact or a calendar event it would sync with my outlook info. Now if I make a change or add a contact or calendar event from my phone it doesn't change it in my outlook. But if I do it from outlook it shows up on my phone. For example I added a birthday for July 4th and its not showing up in my outlook calendar. Its created this new category on my phone for birthdays.
Same thing with my contacts. If I add a contact on my phone it doesn't sync with outlook it puts it under my iphone contacts on my phone. HELP!!

*Sync Your iPhone With Your Outlook Calendar Using iTunes*
1.Open iTunes and check to make sure that you have the most recent version. Do this by clicking on "Help" and then clicking on "Check for Updates."
2.Use the cable that came with your iPhone to connect it directly to your computer. This will automatically launch iTunes. Select "iPhone" from the iTunes source list. Click on the "Info" tab in iTunes.
3.Click on the "Sync Outlook calendars" option. Click on "Apply" in the lower-right corner of your screen. Your computer will now sync with your iPhone based on your settings.

  • Contacts and Calendar not sync across all devices

Installed mavericks a few weeks ago.  Just looked at a contact on my iPad and iPhone and noted that changes made on my MacBook Pro are not showing up on either of these 2 devices.  What is going on?  I used to sync manually using iTunes.  Tried this just now and does not update info in either calendar or contacts.  I used to see :syncing Calendar, syncing contacts in the window describing progress - this does not appear.
Very very confused. Syncing across all devices very important.  spend a lot of time in rural areas with no access to wi-fi.  Am I trapped in iCloud only? if so How does that work??   Help!

Still confused - now I have multiple copies of the same event on my MacBook Pro, and iPad, and not at all on my i iPhone,
Just created a dummy contact on my iPad, and it appeared on MacBook Pro but not on iPhone. turned off iPhone and turned back on and new contact appeared.
My calendar on iPhone has no data from the time I started using Mavericks until a dummy event I added this afternoon.  Do I need to turn my iPhone off and then back on to get it to sync? even with turning off and on the missing calendar items have not appeared.
I am a bit reluctant (afraid) to go to the web and look at my iCloud.com account for fear of sending yet another copy of the same calendar appointments  and duplicate contacts / contacts info to myself on my devices.  I have multiple copies of the same contact on my MacBook Pro. some of the contacts have 3 or 4 duplicates of the same information - example "home phone" or "e-mail address."  Sometimes I have 3 or 4 copies of the same contact card.
Hope you are having a better day, I am completely confused and more than a bit frustrated.  Has anyone written an app to replace sync services in Mavericks?  I would gladly pay for it!

  • Outlook 2010 Contacts and Calendar not syncing

I've looked thru the boards and can't find anything that helps me. My iphone syncs with iCloud but it doesn't sync with my PC.
I'm running Office 2010 and the icloud add-in are there. I've checked the Calendar and Contacts in the iCloud configuration screen and they show Outlook.
Any help would be appreciated. And does the iCloud acccount id [email protected] have to be know to Outlook and if so how is that done?
    Thanks

Same problem here. I finally went at it app by app. If you turn contacts off, then you can get the calendar to synch. If you turn on calendar and contacts, then they BOTH lock up and won't synch.
The problem seems to be in the contacts app. Synch your contacts with iTunes once, and then turn off contacts in icluod. This should work.

  • After reinstallation of Outlook 2010 on my Laptop, Contacts and Calendar did not appeared while they are exist in my iphone 5 by using icloud. What I should do to get Contacts and Calendars in sync with iphone 5? Thank you.

    Thank you.

So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

  • After iOS 8 upgrade, contacts and calendar strangely syncing

After upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 (and just recently 8.0.2, which I hoped would fix it, but didn't), I'm seeing strange sync behaviour with Google contacts and calendar. Here is what is happening:
    Calendar
Creating an event on the phone shows up on Google. However, I cannot edit it like I used to be able to.
Creating an event on Google does not show up on the phone.
    Contacts
Creating a contact on the phone does not show up on Google.
Creating a contact on Google shows up on the phone. Editing this contact changes it on Google too.  (this seems really strange to me).
    This is driving me nuts!

I have similar behavior. Contact sync with google works fine, not calendar though.
I connect to Google using Exchange protocol. Have worked excellent before, but after 8.0.2 (I suspect) calendar is only partly synchronized.
Not all events gets synced from Google calendar.
I used a workaround and connected to the calendar using CalDav, which is not nearly as good as exchange protocol

  • Contacts and Calendar not synching. (Centro, Windows XP, Palm Desktop 6.2.2) Please help!

I originally posted on the Hotsync forum, and it was suggested that I post my question here.  Important information:  My office uses Microsoft Outlook Exchange, and I have my Centro set up to get my emails.  It also wants to sync my contacts and calendar; however, that is completely unneeded for my purposes.  I need to synch my Contacts and Calendar with my Palm Desktop.  If there is something I have to check or uncheck to do so, please tell me how.
    This is my original post:
"When I hotsynch, my memopad, my documents to go, everything seems to synch except my contacts and calendar.
After a few hours on the phone with tech support at sprint, we went for the nuclear option, hard reset, and the temporarily solved the problem, but now it has returned.
    Information that might be important:
I'm getting a failed to backup 1 file error>PmTraceDatabase>Protocol Error: Handheld file could not be opened (4004)>SYNCERR_FILE_NOT_OPEN.  This may or may not be relevent.
Anyway, I appreciate any help with this.  I depend on this PDA phone to keep me organized and there's a slight and embarrasing touch of panic to how I feel now that it is not working correctly."
    Post relates to: VisorPhone

Okay, I'm continuing to do research on this, and here's my suspicion, maybe true or maybe false.  When I set up versamail to get mail from my office's exchange server, it also configured my contact list and calendar to sync as well, and synching with the the exchange server and synching with my desktop software are mutually exclusive.
If this IS true, then hopefully there is a way to set it up so I synch my email only with the exchange server, and leave my contact list and calendar configured to synch with my desktop software.
Any feedback or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Contacts and Calendar not loading into Droid

I have my email set up and I am receiving email messages.  I have Calendar, Contacts, and Email selected in the account settings for this account, yet contacts and calendar entries have not downloaded.
Just noticed I had to hit the sync button while in the inbox view to get an email that was 15 minutes old.

Which email app are you using?  I use YAHOO and there is a setting in the APP that I have to set for the frequency of receiving emails ... unfortunately the lowest number is 15 mins.   You can check out other email apps that have more frequency - I think K9 is one of those that people seem to like.

  • Contacts and Calendar not Pushing

After doing a restore and update to 2.1 my contacts and calendar data are no longer in my phone. I have set the push switches for the email address to one (email works fine). I have changed the push settings on the iPhone to manual, then 15. I have gone back to the email account and cancelled sync and restarted it. The data is just not downloading from the cloud.
Any other ideas on how to encourage this to happen?
    Thanks

Looking into this further, I found that my email address in my iPhone had a double @me.com. The address was [email protected]@me.com. The second @me.com did not show until I deleted the address and tried to type it in again. Then immediately the @me.com would appear after what I was typing but before the @me.com.
I deleted the account and created a new one, and everything works for now.

  • Cant get contacts and calendars to sync to ipod nano

when I sync my nano to my macbook itunes, all music and photos copy, but my contacts and calendars (selected) look like they copy, but when done, the nano does not have any contacts or calendars. this happened occasionally for a while, but now it never copies. THis was a primary use for my NANO, HELP. btw, do any real APPLE people look at these issues?

I'm having pretty much the exact same problem- my Playlists and Photos sync onto the iPod Nano, but the Contacts and Calendars do not. Any help is appreciated!

  • Contacts and calendars not displaying

I've copied over my contacts and calendar items [from Outlook 2003] to my iPod and they are not displaying at all [blank] when I browse to them in my device - are there any additional steps I need?
    Thx for the help!

    Hello fellow ipodders,
I have an ipod photo 30Gb for about 3 months now.
Running first with Itunes 5.01 and now Itunes 6.0.
When I tried to sync between Ipod and Outlook 2003 SP1 at
the end there is nothing displayed in the IPOD. No contacts or calendar items. The sync seems to go fine, even granting for access to Outlook 2003 is asked and I permit that for 10 mins. But at the end nothing in my ipod.
Is this problem somehow resolved now. It has been posted for that long time now.
BTW: I feel that Apple is only a sales company. Selling pretty expensive portable mediaplayers. But the word support isn't in their dictionary....
    Brgds,
    Bas.

  • Contacts and calendar wont sync on iphone 4

I can no longer sync calendars and contacts on my iphone 4. Running the latest iTunes and iPhone software. Running all the latest Snow Leopard updates.
It used to work - not sure what caused it to break. I have spent hours trouble shooting, viewing forums, google searches etc.
I have recently upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard roughly about the same time the issue started to exist - not exactly sure when it first started to appear, so don't really know if it is the upgrade that caused it or not.
When syncing, it freezes when trying to synch contacts. If I turn off Contacts synching, then it freeze while trying to sync calendars. If I turn off both Contact and Calendar Sync, the rest of the phone syncs fine. Only occurs with Contacts and Calendars.
I have tried following the steps from this document: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2481
Basically exporting contacts, deleting them and reimporting them. This did not solve the problem.
I have tried whipping the iphone clean and restoring from backup - this did not solve the problem.
I have tried whipping the iphone and creating a new iphone account and synching was still an issue.
I don't know what else I can do to solve this issue.
    Please help.

Hi, could you specify what you did. It appears that nothing on my iPhone syncs any more. I have an iMac and iPhone 4 running the latest system updates. Thanks!

  • Ios8 - contact and calendar notes won't sync with Outlook

After the ios8 upgrade, I have found that any note in either a contact or a calendar entry made on my iphone 5 won't sync with my office Outlook account, nor will any changes made to notes in a Contact in Outlook, update on my phone.  All worked fine pre-ios 8.  Anyone have a solution - have tried deleting accounts, re-booting, etc?  Thanks

KB23978 should help you with the "calendar not installed" problem
As for removing the facebook calendar, just go into options > advanced > service books > find "Facebook [CICAL]" and delete it
