Contacts and calls out.
Hi everyone. Having two main issues. 1stly, my contacts appear on the calls in/out screen but not on the text in/out screen. i added the aussie +61 prefix to all contacts and the opposite happened. how do i get both screens to show my contacts? 2ndly, i now cant make calls/texts from contacts as i get a message saying Call Forwarding - Conditional when calls are made and texts just wont send. If I dial the number manually, i get connected, please help, I'm getting frustarted.
Thanks for your pending help: texasholdem
Hi All! Through sheer will, frustration and determination I have solved my problems. Hopefully this may help other users who have the same issue in the future. In options, phone options, smart dialing, the country code had changed to the US. I simply changed it back to OZ and I now can make calls, send texts from my contacts and above all else, can see who the texts and calls are from. Cheers, hope this helps.

Link between contacts and call history / WhatsApp is lost
hello, can you help me please?
my z10 lost the connection between the contacts and the call history. What I want to say is: My contacts (synced from BES) are complete, there is no problem. But the call history shows only the phone numbers, I cannot see, to which contact the number belongs and I also cannot start a call from the contact-button underneath the call-list. Because in this view there are none of my contacts anymore.
The same effect with WhatsApp: I see all the chats, but name and picture of the sender are gone. I still can answer the existing chats, but I can't start a new one, because I don't find any contacts. a click on Favs shows me a view sying "none of your friends is using WhatsApp". So obviously this list is not connected to the contacs anymore.
Strange enough, SMS is working as usual, I can see the names of the senders there without problem.
This situation is new, it startet a few days ago after I found the mode where it required SIM PIN. After that the described effect was there. I rebootet the berry, which did not change the effect.
Do you have any ideas? Thank you very much!Hi again!
I saved the last message by accident which caused the reply to be sent off and so I had not finished what I wanted to write. Aploogies.
I didn't find the new iMac hybrid SSD/Disk system easy to understand when it arrived over a year ago. I eventually decided that the 256 SSD section would be best suited to having the Operatin System for greater speed and I must have decided to put the music files on the 1TB internal hard drive along with photos and raw video clips. I can't honestly remember. There was a lot to take in. I wasn't even aware until this failure that iTunes had a default location.
In addition to having the iTunes folder on the internal 1TB hard drive, I used Time Machine to store the entire computer contents on a 1TB Western Digital external hard drive. I had done my last Time Machine back-up on the 13 February and so I was hoping that by opening one or two songs on the back-up, they might reactivate the 'old' interface with the original playlists on it. That didn't happen but I then realised, while I was still in the Tme Machine back-ups on the WD external hard drive, that in the iTunes Media folder contained within the iTunes folder on the default Users/Username/Music location there was only an Add automatically to iTunes folder which was empty. While still still looking through the Time Machine back-upsI saw that the music instead was stored on the 1TB of internal hard drive as outlined on the first post:
'The music files are located in folders (name of artists), within a folder (iTunes Music), within a folder (iTunes), within a folder (Music), within a folder (username) on the 1TB of internal disk drive.'
The iTunes.itl file was last modified on Monday at 21:52. Created on 17th February, 2012. Size 386KB

Text Message, Contact, and Call log locks!!!
I want to know can anyone design an App similar to MyCalculator on the Android market? If you ever get a chance check it out. This app allows you to operate text, calls, and contacts without your spouse having anyway of knowing. Apple needs more privacy features for its products i cant hide anything from the eyes of my girlfriend!!!
PLEASE HELPYou can't hide anything from the eyes of your girlfriend? Seriously, if you have things to hide from her, you need to take a look at your own behavior. Why are you doing things you don't want her to know about?
In any case, every iPhone can be screen-locked with a passcode. Just don't tell your girlfriend what your passcode is. And if she "borrows" your phone to browse the web or whatever, ask her to respect your privacy and not mine your other apps. If she won't; or if you really have records of things she might see that would damage your relationship; the problem isn't with the phone - it's with one or both of you. -
Backup sms contact and call history to pc
Hello ,
I got the nokia 920 based on the camera hype at the time of it’s first unveiling. To my surprised it turned out my old Galaxy S2 took better pictures in my opinion.
Here is my question, I am trying to backup my entire phone (has to be sent in for repairs led light died) and **bleep** to my surprised the most common and convenient way for me to backup my previous phones, which is to plug it into your pc and backup “everything” is not listed.
With the pc option on the phon app it only allows me to save my photos, vids and music. I cannot comprehend why Nokia/MS did not add the option to save/backup sms, contacts, app settings and phone call history option to your pc. At some point and time MS/Nokia had to make a decision of phone users to backup your most personal information using their cloud, all the while forfeiting you from having the option of saving it to your “personal computer”. Let me think…hm it cost a lot of money to buy and maintain the cloud servers they use, and as far as I can tell you don’t pay a single cent, unless you want more cloud data ….ask yourself what’s in it for the perverted F**Ks. I think most of us won’t allow a stranger to just walk right up into your house and begin to observe your eating habits, tv shows you watch etc. Don’t tell me either that only you can access your info…it’s simply **bleep**.
Why am I being forced to use the “cloud” why would I want my personal info on someone else’s machine. I do not own the server and do not have admin rights. If they had advertised you could not conduct a simple backup of everything via pc, I would never have gotten this phone. I like the ability to choose/have a choice especially after paying $600 for a phone, just to have MS/Nokia to make the decision for me.
I can understand why some people would want to use the cloud, but not everyone should be forced to use it.
How do I back up contacts, call history, sms messages to my pc without being fingered in the cloud, against my will.
Thank you for your timeit is a wp8 device, so go into your settings/backup
and choose to have all that backed up to your ms account you have on the device.
this will back up your sms/phone log info and your contacts (so long as you are saving your contacts to your live account)
if your contacts are synced to another account, like google/etc. then that should be synced as well.
when you log into your new wp8 device, and start to set it up, use the same MS account you currently do and it should automatically connect and restore your sms/contacts (provided you use the MS account)
as for the applications...you can go to windowsphone.com and click on reinstall next to the apps you want to reinstall in your "my account"
if those applications do not save a file to the skydrive or their own server, then i cannot say how that data would be backed up. -
My iphone seems to not want to turn on the screen stays black no matter what you do pressing the home and power button....and at times while it is on it locks up and cannot navigate and call out like the touch screen is in active you have to shut the phone down to get it to work as intended.
Hello djgslimm
Start with the article below to troubleshoot your iPhone for not responding.

This detailed step-by-step guide was produced with the following article by Jason Price http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/price_10gws.htmlSuccess!!!
I had to grant this permissions:
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'getClassLoader', '' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'accessClassInPackage.sun.util.calendar', '' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'setFactory', '' )
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.util.PropertyPermission', 'HTTPClient.socket.idleTimeout', 'write' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', 'localhost', 'resolve' );
call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', '127.0.0.1:8084', 'connect,resolve' );
As I wrote earlier, WS_TEST is my user into which I load JAX-RPC client. Note that, if you load JAX-RPC client into user another than SYS, you have NOT to use -s -grant public option (wassam wrote about this too). Another thing is that I (finally) didn't load OC4J. To consume WebService I use utl_dbws.invoke(call_Handle CALL, request SYS.XMLTYPE) function.

A minor point, but it may avoid a little confusion if, instead of saying "black" in reference to the iPhone 5s, say "space gray":

Q10 search remains on a contact after search and call - any way to auto close?
Hi,
I'm just starting to try out a q10 for work purposes and one issue I ran into several times today...
After typing in a contact name (to search) and then selecting call or email, making call or writing email and the turning screen off:
The next time I turn the phone on to search for anything, the contact I had searched before appears. Usually after a few button presses I realize it and by then I'm stuck in editing that contact.
Is there a way to have the search close after the call/email ?
Or maybe have it reset after a while ?
Or, even better would be a gesture I can use from when the screen is off to activate screen and start a new ?
On that last point, depending on the state that I left the phone in it seems I must to do different things to perform a new contact search...
For example search is showing a contact already and I'm not on the search screen:
Swipe up or power button to activate Press a key to start a search Swipe left to leave the contact that was displayed by search
If search is not showing a contact then I just swipe up and type a name
Also, different topic but I am really hoping there is a simple solution here: is there a rapid way to jump straight into the hub?
Sometimes I need to swipe up to turn on, swipe up to exit an app the swipe right swipe right and swipe right to get into the hub. It feels kind of disorienting since it's not always the same procedure and I'd like these things to be "muscle memory."
Thanks,
Daveafter youve called the contact and it opens with their name again just tap cancel on top right of screen and it puts you back to the first person in your contacts list.
its the only way ive found out how to close the cotacts name. -
Contacts saved from messages and calls do not appear in contacts?
Hi, I've been having a problem with my contacts recently. Ever since I got my phone, I saved a few important contacts, however received messages and calls off people who were not in my contacts. I saved these from the messages, and calls but none of these saved contacts have appeared in the contacts app. It's really very frustrating. The contacts have been saved into my phone, as I can find them under spotlight search and in recent calls etc, they just do not appear in my contacts app. Can anyone help me sort this frustrating issue out? I'm on an iPhone 5c, under the updated software

I cannot call my contacts and their calls don't co...
Can someone please help me. I can't call any of my contacts via skype. I can text them and they can text me but we cannot connect via phone or video. Can you please tell me why this is happening?
I have read all skype's messages and solutions for help and none of them address this directly.
The only call I can make is to the Skype Test Call. I have checked my connection, my mic, video, internet speed and everything is working so I don't know what's going on. I logged out of skype on my desktop, tried with my android and still nothing. I restarted my computer and again nothing.
I have skype credit so can call mobile phones but I need to be able to video chat and call my skype contacts directly and for some reason, it's not working...most of my contacts are based abroad so it's vital I have this component; if not, then there's no point having skype.
Can someone please help!!!??!?!
Thanks in advance!I have had the same problem the last 3-4 months or longer. The only and fastest workaround I have for this issue is:
Ctrl-Alt-Del
Start tast manager
Find Skype and "End task"
Start Skype over again.
Then I can receive and make phone calls. No problem the rest of the day...
Do not like this workaround, but I have no other alternaitves.
Maybe the solution is to make Skype "Not start" automatically when log in. That I will test now
This can be changed in:
Tools - Options
General settings
Hook off - Start Skype when I start Windows -

C call-out and exception handling on HP_UX
Does anyone have experiencing calling out to C++ code which uses exception
handling on HP_UX? I'm having trouble getting this to work - details
below.
I'm trying to call out of Forte to some C++ code. The exposed functions
have been specified extern "C". This C++ code makes calls to the Lotus
Notes' C++ API. This API uses exception handling, as does our C++ code.
This all works great on Window NT. It's pretty cool, in fact.
It's not so cool on HP_UX. We're running 10.20, Forte 3.0.E. Apparently,
under HP_UX you have to compile and link using the +eh option in order to
use exception handling. So I did this. My test driver (which calls out to
my user object module) works fine.
So I fired up fcompile, passing in the +eh arguments, and the location of
one of Lotus Notes' shared libraries:
fcompile -cflags eh -lflags "eh /opt/lotus/notes/latest/hppa/libnotes.sl"
It works, giving me no errors.
Then I try to call the functions from inside Forte. It gives me the "Not
enough space loading library blah-blah-blah" error message. In my
experience, this message is misleading, and there's actually something else
going on. So I looked at the log file for the node manager. I saw these
messages:
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: __eh_Cqqsh_DynScope (data) from
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/userapp/conplus_/cl0/lnapifor.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: __eh_dt_count (data) from
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/userapp/conplus_/cl0/lnapifor.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: __eh_reset_dt_count (data) from
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/userapp/conplus_/cl0/lnapifor.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: __eh_Cqqlo_Object (data) from
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/userapp/conplus_/cl0/lnapifor.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: dealloc_object__18__eh_thrown_objectFi
(code) from /tools/forte/EdgeNotes/userapp/conplus_/cl0/lnapifor.sl
I don't know what this all means. In an attempt to replicate the situation
as closely as possible, I tried linking in the shared library (created by
Forte) to my driver program, and ran my driver program. It worked,
although it gave me the following warnings:
__link_incompatibility: Warning: Shared library
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/install/lib/libqqfo.sl was not compiled with +eh.
__link_incompatibility: Warning: Shared library
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/install/lib/libqqrpgs.sl was not compiled with +eh.
__link_incompatibility: Warning: Shared library
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/install/lib/libqqsm.sl was not compiled with +eh.
__link_incompatibility: Warning: Shared library
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/install/lib/libqqdo.sl was not compiled with +eh.
__link_incompatibility: Warning: Shared library
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/install/lib/libqqcm.sl was not compiled with +eh.
__link_incompatibility: Warning: Shared library
/tools/forte/EdgeNotes/install/lib/libqqknpthrd.sl was not compiled with
+eh.
Hmmm .... After further investigation, I found that the
"__eh_Cqqsh_DynScope", "__eh_dt_count", and
"dealloc_object__18__eh_thrown_objectFi" symbols are referenced from my
user object module, and not from any of Forte's libraries (via the nm
command).
My guess is that there's an incompatibility between the forte run-time, and
my code, and I'm further guessing that this incompatibility is related to
the fact that my code is using exception handing.
I'm in contact with Forte Tech Support, but I wanted to see if anyone on
this list has ever run across this.
Thanks,
Dan
[email protected]I did not know that the 9.2 Oracle ODBC driver was not certified for Oracle 7
In fact, when I read the help in the Oracle Net Manager that I installed from the same package (OraWin9204.exe), I can see that there is a normal conncection possible between the packed software and Oracle 7. Downward compatibility is something we should expect from astate-of-the-art RDBMS like Oracle.
I do not have the Oracle 7 ODBC driver installed, I was since two years using the Oracle 8 ODBC driver wich worked fine with both Oracle 7 and 8 but due to upgrading of one of our production databases to Oracle 9 I had to install the Oracle 9 software.
As I stated in my original mail, when testing the Oracle 9 driver in the Data source (ODBC) off my WinXP, it gives a perfect result while connectiing to the System DSN I configured for the Oracle 7 database.
But when opening Access2003 and linking tables, the ODBC call always fails
