Contacts and scheduled appointments

I am not sure if there is a piece of software out there for the iphone that would do this, but I wish I could pull up a contact on the contact list and just press a button to schedule an appointment. Are there any options for this?

I've been looking for the similar feature - "appointment padding" - where you can factor in travel and/or potential overruns without creating multiple appointments. I usually resort to using multiple calendars - but a single entry that let you pad before and after would be a good feature.

Block Time and Scheduled Appointments

Does anyone know how to show block time (multiple hours together) and then schedule appointments within that block time? I reserve block hours each day for clients, and then I want to schedule actual names within that block time, showing the block time and names on iCal. I sthat possible?

BB Z10 - Syncing contacts and calendar appointments manually with the BB Link

When I sync the contacts & calendars, both with 2 way sync, on the contacts it performs perfectly but on the calendar all entries that I make on the Z10 do not get sync with the PC.

Try unchecking all the calendars except the one you want to sync.
Tap Calendar, swipe down from the top and tap Manage.

Sync Contacts and Calendar Appointments using Link; No folders are listed to select

When I go to Contacts or Calendar Configure in the "Select the folder you want to sync" window, there are no folders listed to choose from. I've tried re-booting, re-connecting and Reset settings for my Sync. Still there are no folders to choose from. Please help.

This is exactly what I am dealing with. Blackberry Link will work great for awhile and then something happens and I can not sync my contacts. I have spent many hours and days trying to fix this to no avail. BB support has been great but I still go through a long process each time. This week I finally gave up and started using the Microsoft Hotmail Outlook Connector since my company does not offer Active Sync or Exchange. It works flawlessly. I would dedfinitely check it out. If you swith to a Widows Phone or Android this is one of the options they recommend you use.
In a nutshell Link is awful and BB should be ashamed of the product they put on the market. I will only use it for syncing pictures and documents. Good luck!

Contacts and appointments lost to the iCloud

I recently updated my iTunes software for my IPod and it asked if I wanted to sync my information to the iCloud. I did... then later noticed that all of my contacts and calendar appointments on my PC were gone. I just figured I would sync my Torch to the desktop manager and put them all back... Not what happened. Now the information is missing from my Outlook on my PC and from my Torch. It is however, on the iCloud. The Verizon Blackberry technicians were not able to get the information back onto my Torch. Any ideas??? Since when did Apple and Blackberry engage in a data feud and start taking hostages??

It may happen that you've misconfigured Sync direction and hence such issue arises. Check the below KB article on proper sync setup -

Import contacts and calendar from outlook

I just got iPod Nano and try to put my contacts and schedule from my outlook. I am using Window XP. When I drag all contacts to iPod folder, the file extension was automatically changed to .msg and iPod didn't recognize it. How can I copy all of my contacts and schedule to iPod Nano.

I dont know why it wouldnt work. When I change the setting to sync Contacts from Outlook it does it just fine. I cant test anything right now, I had to send my Nano back to Apple for replacement. Mine was a 2gb in a 4gb body; I guess there are several of us in that situation. Apple quality??? I have sent 5 different iPods back to Apple due to various software, batter, and now memory problems. If they werent so great I would be upset.

All the planned and scheduled appointment can display in calendar view ?

1.I want to do some functions. For one day all the planned and scheduled appointments were displayed in the calendar view in backoffice . Whether SAP CRM standard provided this function? If yes, How to do?

There is no way to prevent the user from inline editing an appointment.

Can't sync Contacts and Calendar on my Centro

Palm Product: Centro (for Sprint)
Problem: I can hotsync my Centro with Microsoft Outlook for all of my applications except for the 2 most important apps: Contacts and Calendar appointments.
I have reviewed most Forum postings, and don't see one directly related to my problem.

I, too, have this problem. I have Office 2007, Palm Desktop 6.2/HotSync Manager 7.0, and a Palm Centro (with the latest Sprint rom). I can sync everything except my Outlook Calendar and Contacts. HotSync manager is set to have my Centro overwrite Outlook when there is a conflict and sync is enabled for all items (including Calendar and Sync). When I sync, the details view shows the sync task "Contacts (Outlook)" and "Calendar (Outlook)" and both are checked off as the sync completes successfully. The HotSync log lists Outlook Tasks and Notes (both of which actually DO sync) but does not list Calendar or Contacts. I have successfully set up an exchange account on the Centro and have many calendar items and contacts I'd like to sync. Oh, and I only have one Outlook Profile (which is selected under the conduit settings of HotSync Manager) and the correct "Calendar" folder is selected. There. I think I covered all the bases. It seems like I'm having the same problem as the OP. Any ideas?

My iPhone 4 with iOS 7.0.4 not synchronizing with Outlook 2010 contacts and calendar after upgrading to iTunes 11.1.4.62

For a couple of years past, my iphone 4 has been working with itunes and syncing with Outlook using USB for contacts and schedule. It currently uses ios 7.0.4. Recently, I think after updating itunes to 11.1.4.62, the sync is not working properly. The itunes backs uo the iphone, starts the sync of contacts which just goes on and on for hours. Asking itunes to sync only calendar also produces no results. I am very concerned as I have a very large >2000 contact list.
I tried a soft reset of the iphone; resetting sync history in itunes; going back to an earlier version of itunes. switching off icloud in the iphone settings; trying to sync through WiFi. Nothing seems to help. The same difficulty persists.
Can anyone please give me a workable solution, before my contact lists in Outlook and iphone diverge disastrously?

Hi - i tried the things in the link in your post and still can't see the iPhone4 in iTunes.
I did see the iPhone4 in iTunes PRIOR to upgrading to iTunes 11.1.4.
My Windows 8.1 laptop recognizes the iPhone4 as a device and the iPhone4 recognizes the laptop because it asks whether to 'trust this pc' or not. I click the 'trust pc'. I stopeed the Apple Mobile Services program and restarted it ... and the iPhone4 still does not show up in iTunes.
What's next? uninstall iTunes & all Apple programs and re-install them?

Contacts and Calendar unable to sync

Yesterday my iPhone started having a problem syncing Contacts and Calendars. As far as I know, I changed no settings on either my phone or my computer to cause this to happen. I'm using a Mac with OSX Tiger, syncing through the USB cable with iTunes.
I first found that my calendars would not sync in either direction (iCal > phone or vice versa). The "Sync calendars" box was definitely checked, but when I tried to sync, it skips over the calendar sync process altogether (it used to display "Syncing calendars..." for a few seconds in the top of the iTunes window back before it stopped working, but not anymore).
I did a restore on my phone, losing my contacts and calendars that were already on there, and discovered that the contacts weren't syncing as well (despite most definitely being set to sync in iTunes), leaving me with a blank contact list. Other things such as Applications and Photos are able to sync perfectly fine. Here are things I've tried after reading some discussions, to no avail:
-Restoring the phone (both to a backup and as a new iPhone)
-Unchecking/rechecking "Sync Calendars/Contacts" boxes in iTunes, including experimenting with "all contacts" vs certain groups of contacts and calendars
-Resetting my Sync history in iSync
-Creating a new user account, with test contacts and calendar appointments (also failed to transfer)
-Hard resetting the phone
None of these seems to have helped the problem. It's as if my computer doesn't realize that I've checked the boxes to sync anything under the "Info" tab in iTunes.
Any ideas that I haven't tried yet? Thanks in advance for your help.

Did contacts and calendar sync in another user account?
Have you installed any software that takes over syncing on your Mac? Maybe software that would let you sync a Windows Mobile phone.
If the issue is happening in all user accounts, try reinstalling iTunes as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224
If the issue is only happening in one user account, there may be an issue with the SyncServices folder which is described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1865

I have the same problem transfering Address book on iMac to contacts on iPhone (old version 3G - on iCloud). this is a hard wired connection

Might you have 200 entries in On My Mac groups and some of your appointments in On My Mac calendars?

I had the same problem too.
Yes, you can go apply for a new AppleID, which would be <your account>@icloud.com.
Then put this new AppleID into the icloud account field.
After this action, you will not be seeing the same contacts and appointments.
But for the itunes store, you still can use the same AppleID so that you can share purchases.
My wife and I use separate icloud accounts, and then we use a 3rd appleid for our itunes store. This allowed us to have separate contacts but still share itune purchases.

My contacts and appointments have vanished

I have an iphone 3gs and a pc running Vista and use Microsoft Outlook 2007. I installed iOS5 and icloud and now all of my contacts and appointments have vanished from Outlook. What should I do? I was due to buy a mac laptop this week to replace my pc but am disappointed with Apple for creating this problem. I have looked on Google and lots of people seem to have similar problems caused by icloud but no one seems to know how to rectify it.

Thanks for replying but I already have outlook on iphone. I have been syncing it all along via usb lead with no problems. Now the info is still on phone but not pc. Strangely some appointments (very few) have remained in calendar but my contacts have all vanished.

Yes, It is possible. You can merge contacts, calendars, and bookmarks between multiple computers.
When you sync the contacts and calendars to your iPhone from the new computer you'll see the option to Merge or Replace, just choose Merge.
