Contacts app stay open after ending an incoming call. Thats annoying!

Hi, I am using factory unlocked iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1.
This is what I'm facing. It is quite annoying.
1. On home screen, I press sleep button. Phone goes into sleep mode(as usual).
2. I receive an incoming call.
3. I/caller end it.
4. Phone again goes back into sleep/standby mode.
5. When I press Home button, then slide to unlock, I find 'Contacts' app opened. *Why? This is quite annoying!*

How do I save a contact after ending their incoming call?

I plan to use my new iphone for my business. When a potential client calls, I often want to save them to my contacts for future calls.
I can't figure out how to 'save' their phone # to my contacts list immediately after ending the call.

The contact in which the photo does appear (along with the contact's name as well) is one that I added myself. I have photos added for many of the people in my Contact List, but neither their photo nor their name appears to me whenever they call or text me.
I know how to add a photo to a contact's information within my Contact List. I need to know how I can make that photo (or even the contact's name) appear whenever I have an incoming call/text from them. What I am seeing is just their phone number, and I do not know everyone's phone number well enough to recognize from whom I am getting a call/text. It would be much easy if their photo or name appeared instead.

Printer app stays open after printing

even after selecting "auto-quit" with ctrl-click in the dock!
Is there a fix? (this happens on different printers)

Other users mentioned that it was necessary to delete and re-add the printer to get this to stick.

Some apps stay open when trying to close more than one app at a time in ios 7

I tried closing down 2 or 3 app at a time in IOS7 and there's always one or two that stay open. The icon at the bottom is still there but I've already swiped it up to close it. When I go out of the closing function and come back I see that they are still open and I need to close them again. I tried this on many ipads, iPhones and ipod touch and they all act the same way.

I guess you didn't know, but yes you can close more than one app at a time. You can close up to 3 apps at a time in the new IOS7 on the iPhone. Try opening at least 3 apps and then double click the main button to see what apps are opened. Then swipe to the left to see the three of them on your screen. Your not gonna see the ones on the side entirely but you can still put all three fingers on them, then simply swipe them up and it closes them up.
The thing is, when you have let say 10 apps open, and you start using this trick, some of them will stay open meaning you swiped them up to close them down but the bottom icon stays there. When you come back to your main IOS desktop and then go back to close the programs that you have opened, you can see that those apps are still opened. There is only like 2 or three out of all the 10 you had opened that stayed open, but none the less it's a bug in the system I presume.
You also asked about the icon at the bottom. When you are seeing what apps are opened, there is always a small icon at the bottom and on top you have a representation of what you were working on, and that is the part you swipe up. But often time the bottom icon will stay opened after swiping 2 or 3 of the apps to close them.

My app wont open after i have purchased it . how should i get it to open i have tried to come back to it later i have deleted it and bought it againand i have resetthe network settings and my ipod in general.

yeah that was a bit open wasnt it.. sorry..
i have 10.8.2 mountain lion, just did a reboot and pulled my original user from my back up back into the new system, opened a new user profile that is the same name as the one i had backed up.
now i cant open up anything in Iworks 09... or anything inb microsoft office 2011, plus i can open garage band.... i used time machine retore to retrieve those apps... but they come up with errors
any ideas other than trying to reinstall thses.?

Stop bookmark menus from staying open after I move my mouse

I just updated to FF 6.0. My bookmarks menu has multiple folders containing additional bookmarks. When I open one of the bookmarks folders (sub-menus) the sub-menu stays open after I move my mouse. In the old version the menu closed when I moved my mouse. This is a problem because when it is open it obscures the menu below. This means that I have to close everything each time I want to move to a different folder. It also means that I MUST make a direct hit on the folder I want to open - pain in the 'you-know-what'.
I can't find anyway to turn this feature off - and if I can't I will have to uninstall this version.

Currently 664 [exported from FFox Bookmarks to URL Manager for the count] abut never more than 4000: beyond 4000 bookmarks and FFoxs' Bookmarks respond slowly even without Sync active. I currently have 5 computer with FFox set up to use Sync. While I don't expect FFox to manage a huge collection of URLs, I would be nice to be able to access a Bookmark collection of 6000 to 8000 without noticeable delay. It's a simple text file after all, and as I'm only effecting one URL, why so long to update?
fyi: URL Manager tells me that I've amassed about 300,000 bookmarks, some from the late 90's which I still use for research.

Make terminator stay open after command completion? [SOLVED]

I'd like to execute a command into terminator from my Openbox menu and have it stay open after the command completes.
I know urxvt does this with a "-hold" option but I'd like to just use one terminal instead of two or more for different things.

Ebay App update on 3GS UK stops incoming calls

Hi,
I thought i'd post my findings.
I had an Ebay App update 2 days ago and without realising a connection with the update my 3GS started going a bit haywire.
This maybe a one off bug with the update and my personal setting on my phone.
The first problem i noticed was the battery level started to be eratic (50% to 20% then 40%)
Next day after full charge my phone lasted about 4-5 hrs before totally flat with no calls being made. (i thought it just didn't charge properly over night)
Later on that night i re-charged it and since then the phone is running pretty warm. (could be another fault and nothing to do with the App)
The next problem was i found out it would not receive calls (everything else working normally even outgoing calls apart from running warm)
After exhausting the net on iphone forums i finally went into itunes and clicked restore. After about 15-20 mins it was restored to factory.
The iphone was working perfectly and running cold again so i decided to sync back so i was back to where i was before restoring (all contacts and apps etc)
To my horror the phone would not receive calls (straight to voice mail) with this in mind i knew it was something i had loaded on to the phone.
Realising that the Ebay App was the last thing i put on, so i decided to delete the App and the phone works perfectly again. Reload Ebay app with update and it stops incoming calls again!
How can an Ebay App or any other App stop your phone from doing the basic thing like accepting incoming calls.
Like i said this might be freak happening with my phone and the combination of things i have on my phone but be aware that this can happen.
My 3GS is only 3 weeks old and is factory unlocked and its on Orange network.
Hope this helps somebody out there, but i was worried that my 3GS had turned into a £500 ipod

Before I came to the conclusion that the eBay app is the problem, I disabled all the connections (WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G), then I reset the network settings that didn't change anything. I was about to erase everything on my phone just before I read this page and thank Goodness! The moment the eBay app was gone everything went smooth. I still get calls when the WiFi is on and even though it uses the battery it doesn't drain it like when the eBay app is installed. I reinstalled the eBay app and all the problems went back... I took it off, everything went back to normal. Now I just go to eBay.com instead of using the app.

Even updating an older game app resulted in the original game icon changing to the new identical icon that all new apps are appearing with. This new icon is like a page with a ruler, pencil and paintbrush. Any tips on how to stop this or how to revert to the icon as it appears on the app store would be appreciated.

E52: Unable to END an incoming call

Hi,
In my E52, I am unable to end an incoming call inspite of pressing the END CALL button. The display still shows "XYZ calling". I have recently upgraded to the firmware version 034.001 but the problem remains unresolved.
I would appreciate any resolution for this problem.

try removing battery for tem mins and see if any change then try a reset *#7370# security code 12345
back up your data prior to this
then try a hard reset
Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key, Star key[*], Three key [3]
Do not let go the three keys until you see the WELCOME screen displayed and just let it complete the boot process
if its still the same its a hardwear issue and will need to be sent to a nokia care centre

Yes that is what they mean usually they have a quick online setup for mobile payments which you can use to login or you can write down the date from when the call was placed wait for you monthly bill and look for calls on that date and bingo you have your number but the only clear way to get such information is your carrier their is no other way in the sinario you have prosented us with.

One of my apps won't stay open after iPad and app both had update

After updating with the new update for the iPad I updated my nook app. Now my nook app won't stay open. I've restarted my iPad multiple times and tried it with and without wifi still won't stay open.

I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two. Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.
