Contacts appear and then dissappear

Hi All,
first time using these message boards. I've tried searching with no luck, so i'm hoping someone can lead me to a fix.
the last few days i've noticed in my hub that a contacts name will display and then dissapear the next time I check (just shows the phone number). when I go to try and re-add the contact the Z10 says the contact already exists but it isn't showing up in my contacts list. I'm not sure what to do but it is annoying to have to read thru to figure out who i'm talking to.

I just checked http://downrightnow.com/yahoomail and it shows intermittent service interruptions for yahoo mail over the last 24 hours. It goes between "up" and "likely service interruptions."
This is likely a Yahoo! issue, not a BlackBerry issue.
All that said, I highly recommend using Outlook.com which uses Exchange Active Sync rather than caldav and cardav that Yahoo! uses. EAS is much more reliable.

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

If it is otherwise working, you can change the battery. If you want to do it yourself, you can buy the part on eBay and other online sources. Just make sure you know the type of iPod you have so that you get the right part.

You can also have a repair business do the work.
If it is just the battery, if you do a Reset (using the Menu and Select buttons) while it is connect to your computer, I think it should still be recognized by iTunes.

Mail message appearing and then quickly disappearing

I keep seeing alerts for email messages pop up in the top right corner of my screen. They disappear before I can even see who they are from. When I check my inbox, there's nothing. Nothing in junk mail or any other folder either.
I am getting email alerts for the emails that do end up in my inbox, but these alerts that appear and then quickly disappear are driving me nuts. There are a few forums I'm a part of and other services I use like eBay that I am not receiving emails from at all (except password reset types of emails).
My guess is that Mail is deciding that these emails are junk and filtering them, but I have no idea where they are going or how to stop this.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure this will work, but try disabling Mail alerts in Notifications, log out/in, and then set them back up.

If MacKeeper corrupted the Recovery partition then even I underestimated its potential for damage. Garbage "cleaning" apps will cause misery but I have not found that the Recovery partition to have been affected by using MacKeeper or anything like it. I doubt that it did so, but I have learned not to underestimate the potential for such things to result in system corruption.
Before concluding your Mac has a hardware failure, try booting OS X Internet Recovery by holding command option r on startup (three fingers). That will force your iMac to bypass the Recovery partition altogether, and convey the ability to create a new one.
An Internet connection will be required (wired or wireless).
At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
Assuming the HD remains usable you can then use Disk Utility to erase it. Reinstall OS X, restore your essential software and other files, and don't reinstall the junk.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you can't do this on a computer, which would be much easier using drag and drop, then you will need to share the contacts with yourself in order to move them to the iCloud account.

Unfortunately this sounds like a hardware failure. Run Apple Hardware Test in extended modeat least 2-3 times back to back. If errors appear then you have confirmed my suspicion. However if no errors appear unfortunatelyyou are not out of the woods l yet because AHT is not the more reliable test. If you do know know how to run AHT please refer to:

The phone remembers recently used numbers just like how Mail remembers recently used email addresses. As time goes by the phone will eventually forget unused number that are not in your contacts as long as you do not use it. Same for unused email addresses that are not in your contacts.

I think it will remove the jailbreak but should not affect the unlock if it's truly carrier unlocked. Warning: many people believe they have an officially unlocked iPhone when in reality it's JB to unlock it. In this case, a restore will relock it.
