Contacts Button Lost from Toolbar

Just noticed, having upgraded to Yosemite, an optional button has disappeared from the toolbar in Mail :-(
A 'Contacts' button used to be available for the toolbar when writing new mails. This brought up a contact window but, importantly, it allowed you to cmd-click to select a number of contacts and then select To:, CC: or BCC:
Button has gone from Mail toolbar ...
And it isn't possible to do this within Contacts except by setting up a Distribution List which isn't quite the same thing.
And having examined this, it seems Distribution Lists can only be set up for iCloud contacts - I have several e-mail accounts, each with their own Calendar and Contacts but I can only generate a Distribution List from iCloud (and presumably local contacts on the Mac ...?)
I do get annoyed when "upgrades" remove for no obvious reason functionality that I regularly use :-(

I am a fairly confident computer user and I see NO Stop Go or Reload buttons attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
Also, I figured out how to Customize, but I don't see them in the Customize Icon view. They aren't there to add!
Am I just being overly stupid here (wouldn''t be the first time in my life...lol)?
Also, on one of the responses, it was mentioned that a picture was attached. How do I see this pic? I saw no little icon to do so

Address Book or Contacts button no longer in Mail toolbar

I realize the Address Book app has been renamed to Contacts but it used to be very convenient to have an icon for it in the Mail toolbar. I can't seem to find a way to do that now. Anyone have any tips on this? Thanks

Doesn't have the same functionality :-(
With the Contacts Button in the toolbar it was possible to cmd-click to select multiple contacts, with the + button, it is only possible to select a single e-mail address.
I do get hate it when "upgrades" remove functionality that I regularly use for no obvious reason :-(

IPhone 4: lost contacts! Restore from Backup only works for 30 seconds after restore job, then contacts disappear!

The last time I backed my phone up, my contacts disappeard. So I went back in and "restored from backup." When the restore job finished, I opened up my "recent calls" and the names of my recent callers appeared for about 30 seconds and then they turned back into phone numbers. No contacts appear in my contact list.
I called apple-care and all they're interested in is trying to get me to give them money.
I tried free support from this website but the person on the other end was clueless...utterly clueless....did not even understand what I meant when I uttered the phrase "restore from backup." I had to take him through the process I had just gone through step by painstaking step, and all he could do was ask me why I didn't have my contacts.
Is there anyone here whocan help with this?

You are absolutely correct, they are very much apart of the backup. I lost all my contacts and did the same thing as you, restored a previous backup. Upon completion of the restore, all my contacts were there. Like you, after 30 seconds, mine too erased. I tried to mess with iCloud with no luck, after re-establishing connection with either wi-fi or cellular, my contacts erased.
I tried several times and was able to finally get my contacts copied over from the restore, here is how but only works if you have the restore available with the contacts still present.
1. Restore from the previous backup (you must watch your phone because you have to be ready for the next step)
2. When your phone restarts, immediately place your phone in "airplane mode" to stop it from connecting to the cloud and wiping away your contacts. (Your contacts will remain until airplane mode is turned off)
3. Within iTunes, search for and download "My Contacts Backup" which is FREE and does not need to connect to the Internet to work.
4. Within iTunes, under the iPhone, navigate to the App's tab and find "My Contacts Backup" and click the install button to have it installed onto your phone.
5. After installed, run the "My Contacts Backup" and follow the prompts. Do not change any settings, they are already properly set up. After it copies all the contacts, it is ready to e-mail out. Email them to an address you can get on your phone.
6. Turn off airplane mode (this will delete the contacts as said above but we have a backup.)
7. Open the e-mail and click on the attachment. Follow the short steps and all your contacts will re-populate.
If you are like me, this fix also took care of my iMac and iPad contacts. I have all 400 contacts back. I hope this helps if you haven't found a fix or anyone that finds this page in the future. While trying to fix this, I stumbled across software that was over $100.00 to fix this problem. This is the free way

There are no contacts in itunes.
Your contact should be on your computer in whatever program you have selected to sync. Just sync them to the new one.

Changing the itunes account on nthe iphone is covered there as is restoring the iphone as new or from backup.

Custom Toolbar Buttons - built from my SQL - feature request

I would like to request a feature to be added to SQL Developer. I'm on EA, v 4.0.0.12. I would like to be able to create edit and add custom toolbar buttons.
I do have some of my SQL saved as Snippets. As long as I want to keep the Snippets pane open, I can create and edit snipped categories, add snippets to custom categories, and drag'n'drop a snippet from the snippet pane onto a SQL Worksheet (fills in with the SQL). This all works, although giving up "canvas workspace" for the snippets pane is a bit of an expense.
It would be cool to be able to create, edit and place and remove custom buttons on the Toolbar with SQL I like to (re)use often.

I found the Exchange and filed a request there.
For anyone wanting the URL for the Exchange feature requests, I used this:

Readability add-on buttons are not possible to hide from toolbar.

Ideally, I would like to move "Read" button moved to Australis menu and other two buttons hidden entirely, however, whenever I restart the browser, the buttons are kept in their initial position.
This was not the cause with any other add-ons I have installed.
There is no difference between right clicking those buttons and pressing "Move to Menu"/"Remove from Toolbar" or dragging them to desired locations via "Customize" button in Australis menu, the outcome is the same.
Please help.

Some extensions do reposition their buttons at startup but I haven't heard about this one before. Does Firefox have trouble remembering any other changed icons positions on the toolbar or between the toolbar and menu? Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service like Gmail, iCloud, or an Exchange server.
Have you failed to use the device as designed?

Remove "execute" button from toolbar

Hi, colleagues! Is there any way to remove "execute" button from toolbar on selection screen (in custom report)? I only found how to append custom buttons (using function keys).

Use EXCLUDING options of the SET PF-STATUS statement and insert the function code of the execute button into a internal table and pass it with EXCLUDING.

No, sorry, not from Protect to an iPhone.
If you can borrow or use another BlackBerry and set it up with your BlackBerryID, you can restore to that BlackBerry, and then backup to a PC and extract data from the backup .bbb file. Or you can export contacts/calendar/memos from that BlackBerry using one of various apps like InTouch Contacts, other apps.

Overnight my contact list went from 1492 contacts to 52.. With help from Apple support I retrieved all of my contacts. Here is the problem, I lost the groups. None of my contacts are sorted into groups as they used to be which is very important for me.

Overnight my contact list went from 1492 to 52. With help from Apple I retrieved the missing contacts using Time Machine. The problems is that the contacts are not in groups as they used to be. Any suggestions? I really need them grouped for business reasons.
Also, there are no longer pictures associated with each contact.
thanks for any help anyone can give me getting contacts back into the groups that I had established. By the way, the group names are still there, but they are all empty.

Perhaps by verifying that you are using "icloud group" of your contacts on pad and mac.
Open contacts and see if icloud is your default.

I have lost the toolbar at the top of screwen how do i get it back

i have google as home page, but seemed to have lost the toolbar at top of my screen which has bookmarks and other info stored up there to make it easier for me to get to frequently used sites. Iam not real computer savvy so all this has been set up for me to make it easier to operrate on my behalf

Instead of a contacts button, you need to enable the Share button
From your Safari menu bar click View > Customize Toolbar
Drag the Share icon right up to the menu bar (same the address bar, not Favorites)
If you want to send a webpage to a contact, click the Share icon then click Email This Page.
