Contacts, Calendar, and Podcast not Loading! (frustrating)

The native BlackBerry PlayBook contacts, calendar, and podcast  will not load! They all remain suspended in an endless load screen. I have tried restaring repeatedly but it has not worked.
I am incredibly frustrated since RIM seems to be unresponsive when it comes to helping out in fixing these issues! I have seen I am not the only one who is having these difficulties.
Solved!

I did have the same issue. Only thing that fixed was to wipe.and reinstall

  • Mail, Contacts, Calendar and App Store Not Opening in Yosemite

After 24 hours of buggy overall operation several of the apps stopped working.  Specifically Mail, Contacts, Calendar and App Store do not launch.  I had same problem with Omnifocus but was able to restore it after a fresh download.
I have tried the standard methods -- (multiple) restarts, Repair permission, fsck -fy, etc.  but now need to appeal to "higher power" for help.
I am assuming that without App Store, there is no way to re-download and install Yosemite.  So my first question would be -- how to I get Yosemite without App Store?  I need to sort this out for future updates as well, including the inevitable 10.10.01
Until that is fixed, I'd also like to know if there is a work around for getting Mail, Contacts and Calendars are restored.
    Help!
I am on mid 2010 Macbook Pro 15" 2.66 with 8 GB of memory, 256 GB SSD (OS) and 500 GB Hard Drive. (Data)

Update - Checked Messages, it too does not load.
Strangely -- Safari and Preview are both working fine.

  • How do I upload my contacts, calendar and notes from outlook 2007 to my new iPad with retina display

I just cleaned up my outlook 2007 contact files.
I have an iPhone 5, a new iPad with retina display, and a PC, which is where the outlook program is.
I also have an iCloud account
How do I get the contacts, calendar and notes from outlook to any of these devices, so I can have one synced contact file on all three devices?
I'm sure I am not the first one asking about this but I am new to Apple, and loving it.

With your device connected and iTunes open, navigate to the 'info' tab and scroll down. You'll see the option to sync contacts and such from outlook.

  • Contact, Calendar and Notes Disappeared after Sync

    Please help!
After sync Contacts, Calendar and Notes to pc (Outlook), all are disappeared in iPhone but can't find them too in the pc. Have opened Outlook to retrieve the data but still can't find there.
However pic, videos and apps are found both in iphone and pc after sync.
Million thanks for your great help!

Did you previously ever open Outlook on your computer before?
If not, you may have lost your information.
You could possibly restore your iPhone from a backup.
Check if there is one first.
You can do that by going to Edit-> Preferences in the iTunes program
From there, click on Devices, and you will see a list of backups that were created.
To possibly get your contacts back, you could restore from a back-up and attempt a sync again.

    Hi vichochile,
If you are having an issue with syncing your new iPhone with the information that is in iCloiud (and on your other devices) we should make sure that iCloud is set up correctly on the iPhone. See this page for directions -

Oh I also tried restoring my phone and starting all over again. That didn't work either!

  • Wiped contacts, calendar and notes

I wiped all of the above and have looked up ways of restoring them, I have found that iTunes backs up the iPhone every time its plugged in but can only sync to the most previous one. It has been said on several pages that previous ones can be found, is this the case? If so where are they and how do I put everything back on the phone? Any help would be awesome!
    Thanks

I will answer my own question.
I have 2 pst files and one extra archive file. I had changed the default PST file to another PST file that I don't have contacts, calendar and notes in. iTunes must look at the default PST file only. I did this awhile ago, but must not have rebooted Outlook in awhile. When I rebooted, I must have gotten the problem. I changed back to first default PST file with the contact etc. and all is good.

  • Error enabling "Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks with Outlook" in iCloud 3.0  Control Panel

Unable to enable option “Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks with Outlook” under iCloud 3.0  Control Panel.
Get following error when clicking checkbox to enable it under iCloud 3.0 Control Panel.
"Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."
    Have tried the following:
Uninstalled / reinstalled iCloud 3.0 control panel
Removed all mail accounts from Outlook 2013 except MS account
Confirmed Outlook was chosen for  “Always uses this profile” under Control Panel – Mail (MicroSoft Outlook 2013) – show profiles
Still get the same error when trying to enable the option under iCloud 3.0 Control Panel
PC is running Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
Outlook 2013 was just installed on the PC as part of new Office 2013 installation

    Two more things:
First, sorry for the bad spelling, grammar, and all of that. English isn't my first language and I'm so frustrated at this point I'm not paying any attention to it. Sorry!
Second, after trying to repair again the icloud 3.0 through the Control Panel of Windows, guess what? It made Offce to crash again! Now I will have to install it again.

  • Could not load iCloud preference pane and could not load internet accounts preference pane

after a recent not so succesful time machine restore, and after turning internal hard drive and ssd on my macbook pro late 2008 into a fusion drive, I get these error messages in the system preference : could not load iCloud preference pane and could not load internet accounts preference pane. I noted that Mail, Calendar, notes etc all sync to my various device, but on my mac, I can't access the accounts feature. Can anyone help me resolve this issue ? I searched all over the net with no success...
    cheers !

iMac (Processor 3.2GHz, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3, 3TB HD) Running Mavericks (10.9.4), I have the exact same problem. Local Apple Store unable to help. Turned to my AppleCare Program. They say their techs have never come across this issue this was what was done:
Have downloaded & new copy of OS X  = same issue.
Deleted OS X Reinstalled OS X on blank drive - restored all my data from backup = now have no MS Office, no Adobe Photoshop Elements, no iWeb, no Parallels, no VMWare, no iPhoto in fact, nothing of "my" machine. (but problem is still there)
Advised to do an "Internet Restore" from good Backup (over 24 hours to complete); when complete, machine restarts = a circle with a cross diagonally through it and the spinning wheel. (It goes no further no matter how many times you reboot)
Now on my own, booted using "Command + R" to start in Recovery mode. Changed all permissions in Disk Utility. Rebooted. = my machine is back - all data intact and all programs there & working BUT problem persists.
I have now turned to Communities. Followed everything people said worked for them but in my case, after a reboot, I still cannot load iCloud OR Internet Accounts Preferences panes!!
If I add a calendar item on my iMac it will not sync with either my iPad or iPhone. If I add a calendar item on either my iPhone or my iPad that item will sync with the other device but will not sync to my iMac. The same is true for Contacts as well. Extremely annoying to have to type it in all the time. This is Apple for heavens sake and therefore it should work!!

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here, so I've asked the hosts to remove your email address, postal addresses and phone numbers from your post.
I'm not entirely sure what you are saying, but if those apps are crashing then have you tried toggling them 'off' and 'on' via Settings > iCloud ? And if that doesn't fix it then try closing them via the iPad's taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
You could also try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    If it's a different problem ... ?

  • BlackBerry Link and syncing Contacts, Calendar and Tasks with stand-alone desktop installation of Outlook 2010?

I have used Blackberries in business since the beginning. Fantastic products!
Sadly after spending the better part of Feb 6th transitioning from Torch to Z10 I have had to abandon the effort and request an RMA number to return the Z10.
    Here is why:
"Link" appears to be focussed on syncing documents and media like content such as music and movies but does not, from what I can tell, sync Outlook Contacts, Calendar entries or Tasks. I have never bothered putting music or movies on a BB... never had the time to fuss with such... however, I use, edit and sync my Contacts, Calendar and Tasks between my Torch and my desktop PC every day... as in EVERY day!
From a review of postings on various forums there does not appear to be a solution in the works to this problem and the trend appears to be to use a Cloud based email or service to host such "PIM" information and then sync the handheld to the Cloud repository. This method MAY be suitable for some forms of info but it is not suitable to post such personal info on the cloud... it needs to stay on the desktop and in the handheld device, both of which are password protected and looked after carefully.
This is an odd situation, BB (RIM) cut their teeth on pages, emails, BBM and great cell calls, mainly in a business environment. Many small business users live and die on their BB. They do not run Exchange Server... they run Outlook stand alone on a desktop. To remove this functionality from the Z10 (BB10 overall perhaps) seems at best to be a serious oversight.
I wish BB the best with the Z10 and hope to see it do well. For me, I had to make a choice between the efficiency and effectiveness of syncing Outlook Contacts, Calendar and Tasks with the Torch, or hand feeding and maintaining thousands of constantly changing entries into what is undoubtedly a more powerful and wonderful looking Z10. Efficiency and effectiveness won over brawn and beauty. The Torch is back on line... It's a tool... a really great tool! Tomorrow it will process a hundred emails,  numerous SMS messages, a few BBM's, keep me on time and feed me a bunch of useful phone numbers and addresses as it has for a couple of years now. It will also spend an hour or so teathered to my laptop at a remote location where there is cell coverage but no internet. It will NOT display any movies, tweats, twits, or facebook stuff that I won't have time to look at anyway. The fast, powerful, shiny Z10 is heading in an RMA bag back to Telus.
I have a sort of sick feeling in my gut and hope to be able to sync again in the future!

my feelings and my situation excatly

  • Mail, Contacts, Calendar and other Things1

I am planning on doing a fresh Yosemite install on my 2011 iMac. When I purchased the iMac, I migrated everything over from 2006 a MacBook. The iMac has run sluggish ever since and, and in order to correct this, formatting my iMac HD and installing Yosemite is my only option. Some questions linger however. I know I need all my s/w keys to my 3rd party applications, which I have. However, my concern is with recovering my email, my contacts and calendar. I use iCloud and Dropbox to sync things with my other digital devices such as iPhone & iPad. I don't have email go to my iPhone so it resides on my iMac.
Can anyone tell me if my existing contacts, calendar and email will populate in the apps on my iMac in Yosemite from either iCloud or Dropbox?

In case it's not obvious, you absolutely must back up all data before upgrading, regardless of iCloud or anything else.

  • IPhone 4S contacts, calendar and notepad all missing?  Help!

My contacts, calendar, and notepad have all gone missing off of my iphone 4s.  My contacts should have backed up to iCloud but when I logged in through my computer it was empty there too.  My calendar was syncing to gmail and is still in my gmail account but not on the phone.  Does anyone know if there is some sort of system error or is it just maybe my phone?  How can I get my contacts back and make my phone start recognizing my gmail calendar?  I didn't make any changes to my phone before this stuff disappeared and to top it off the button on the top of my phone is broken and I can't turn my phone on and off.  Earlier in the week I did the latest software update but it's been a few days since that.  Help please!

    Hello Bonnie1213,
If you are not seeing your contacts and you are using iCloud, then check in Settings > iCloud to see if those options are turned on. If you are not using iCloud but another account that offers those type of syncing services, then look in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and find the account that you do sync with and make sure those options are turned on.
