Contacts/Calendars Synched to Both MobileMe & MS Exchange Server?

I use MobileMe for my personal email and MS Exchange Server for my business (Lotus Notes) email accounts,nand this arrangement seems to work just fine.
I use MobileMe for my personal contacts and calendars, but haven't synced any of my Lotus Notes contacts/calendars to my iPad as I'm concerned I'll lose all of my personal contacts/calendar data if I do.
Is it possible to sync contacts/calendars with both MobileMe and MS Exchange Server sources?

Did you get any NDR message now when you send a email to outside? And vice versa.
In addtion,I recommend you telnet to port 25 to test SMTP communication.

BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

IPhone Contacts & Calendars not syncing with mobileme

Apologies if there is a solution to this posted already, I can't find it despite extensive searching!
My iPhone Calendars & Contacts do not sync with MobileMe. I can't find a way of exporting or saving the data on the iPhone and importing it into my desktop iCal & Contacts apps.
I have looked at all troubleshooting help I can find, and all is suggested is deleting/ resetting the phone & syncing from MobileMe. However, if I do this I will lose lots of contacts & calendar entries.
The data will NOT sync from my phone despite following all available instructions. My desktop apps are all set to sync with MobileMe & this works fine, it's just the iPhone data will not transfer to MobileMe.
Please help!!

Since you are syncing your iPhone with your Mac, it should be syncing your contacts and calendars with your Mac as well (and your bookmarks if you have it set up to sync). You should have Mobile Me setup on your Mac to at least sync your Calendars and Contacts, which should be updating your Mobile Me account. If you want to check to make sure that all of your contacts that are on your iPhone are on your Mac, simply open up the Contacts App. Once you check this, add your Mobile Me account to your iPhone and let it sync your contacts and calendars, it will delete all the contacts and calendars that are currently on your iPhone, but the same data is on your Mac anyways. Once Mobile Me syncs with your iPhone you won't have to worry about it anymore.
If you are having problems where you already setup your Mobile Me account on your iPhone and it's not syncing properly, deleted it, restart your iPhone, then add it again.

Mountain Lion calendar and notes sync problems with exchange server via WLAN

After upgrading to Mountain Lion calendar and notes do not sync anymore with my exchange server via WLAN. There are no syncing problems via ethernet if WLAN is deactivated. Mail works fine with both connection types. Similar problems known? Solutions?

Exact same issue ... cropped up in the past 2 weeks. Constantly syncing and re syncing. Watching calendar events show up and disappear. Tried all the normal stuff including deleting and re setting up the entire acct ... no luck. It built out the whole calendar correctly ( from what I could tell) and then started to sync again and appointments randomly appeared and disappeared .....

Calendar can't save event to exchange server

Since moving to Yosemite I've been getting this error message with calendar - "Calendar can't save event "{event name}" to the Exchange server."
I'm unable to find any fix, including turning on/off time zone support. I've also re-established the exchange account more than once - each time the error eventually comes back (with a different calendar event).
Here's a link to a discussion on this subject, however, it was created under OS X Mountain Lion. I never encountered this issue prior to Yosemite. Thus, I created a new discussion here under OS X Yosemite.

I had this issue too. Since all my data was present on the exchange server, I decided for the "delete" approach. First i quit the calendar app, then I went into library/calendars. There i deleted all files including Calendar cache and several folders ending on .exhange and .calendar. After a reboot i reconfigured my exchange account and everything seems to work fine now.

Mac Calendar (Mountain Lion) cannot save to Exchange Server

My boss use iMac Calendar (Mac OS 7.8) to sync with Exchange Server. When he saves the modify to Exchange server, There following message appear :
Calendar can't save the event "xxxxxxx" to the Exchange server. The account "Exchange Server" currently can't be modified. to discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that's on the server. click Revert to Server.
This message is randomly. However, iPhone, iPad and MS Outlook without that issue.
Could anyone help to solve?

Started experiencing this same issue with new Macs on Moutain Lion connecting to MicroSoft Exchange Server.
ERROR Says:
Calendar can't save the event "event name here" to the Exchange server.
The account "describes calendar name" currently can't be modified. to discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that's on the server. click Revert to Server.
Then gives the buttons "Revert to Server" "Try Again" or "Ignore"
!!! Somehow it seems like this is a known issue, otherwise WHY would Apple have given us those 3 buttons to click on?
Needless to say this is causing productivity problems as it disrupts the very busy schedule of many users. Apple needs to provide some workaround for this.

Calendar/Mail not syncing via Microsoft Exchange server

I know, I know. Not another Exchange server question....
But here goes....

My iTouch has all the right settings from my IT department who uses a Exchange 2003 server.
User name, password, server is right - at least we think it's right.
Once I try to get Mail on my iTouch, it comes up with a "Cannot Get Mail - the connection to the server failed' error.
I'm actually trying to sync my Entourage Calendar mostly. All setting are right under the preferences in Entourage for syncing. And my iCal on my computer creates a mirror image of my Entourage calendar.
I can sync up the Calendar through iTunes, but don't really want to do this. Would rather have this happen WiFi.
Is there anything I'm missing?
I've reset my setting on my iTouch too. Done all that...read all the discussions, articles...
The only level that it stops me at is getting mail. The odd thing was yesterday it sent a couple of test emails I created last week. ODD!
Trying to get at least 75% of the capability out of this great technology.

Calendar Refresh Problem by Snc with Exchange Server

I sync my calendar from my IPhone 3G (OS 4.2.1) with an MS Exchange Server. That's no problem, every appointments are on the IPhone calendar. But when I open my calendar it shows at first all appointments for 2 oder 3 seconds and then they clear out and he shows an empty calendar for 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds every appointments come back. It doesn´t matter if I refresh the calendar with the server or if I´m offline. I guess the reason is the OS 4.2.1 becuase I think that I didn´t have this problem in the past. With an IPhone 4 I have also no problem when I sync with the same server.
Did everybody now whats the problem and if there is any solution for this problem?

You know, yesterday I deleted the entire Exchange account, rebooted, added it -- nothing... then I deleted it again, rebooted again, etc... after about the 3rd time of doing this and allowing the Internet Accounts to automatically discover the account, it started working again.
You might want to give it the brute-force-angry-uninstall-and-reboot-multiple-times-while-shaking-angry-fists -and-cursing routine and see if that helps you!

Let's say you have a subscribed calendar named "David"
Go into iCal and create a new calendar ("on my Mac") named "Davidcopy" with the same color as your subscribed calendar.
Repeat for any other subscribed cals you want to sync to iPhone.
Open the CopyCal script
Edit the first line of (uncommented) code which starts with property sourceCalendarNames:
Change the names of the cals in this list to match the subscribed cals you wish to copy
Edit the list on the next line to match the NEW cals you created ("Davidcopy" etc)
Next look at iCal and uncheck the subscribed cals.
Run the script and watch the copying take place.
Now to automate this, set up an event everyday (as often as you like). Preferably this can be in another calendar you don't publish - so everyone doesn't have it cluttering their view of your cal.
For example I have events named "sync" at 9:30am and 5pm every weekday. For the alarm, use "Run Script" and choose the CopyCal.scpt.

HELP!!!! iCloud synced all contacts calendar etc to both mine and my mothers account due to shared apple id HELP ME!!

Okay so me and my mom have both downloaded the new iPhone update and now she has both her contacts and mine along with my calendar info and more. We both think its due to iCloud seeming as it didn't happen before we set it up. It is a nightmare and we just want it FIXED!. We have tried turning them off individually such as the contacts and the calendar yet they still were there! next we tried pressing the option that deleted them all from iCloud yet it just deleted all of out contacts so we turned it back on.
What is going on??????

You will have to have two separate Apple IDs to keep each of your sets of data separate. I assume your Mom has her own computer and/or Apple ID so you can buy all that music without her knowing about it. Just go to "settings" and then "Mail, contcts, and calendars". Click on the icloud account and remove it from your device. Then create a new icloud account using your Apple user name and ID (assuming it is seperate from your Mom's Apple user name and ID. Your devise should begin syncing just your stuff to your device. This is all predicated (again) on you and your Mommy having separate contact lists, email accounts, calendars, etc. - and MOST IMPORTANTLY - (did I already say this?) separate user names and Apple IDs.

MobileMe and Exchange

I have read that an iPhone can sync its calendar to both MobileMe and Exchange at the same time.
1) Is this true?
2) If so, how are the two distinguished in the iPhone calendar app?
3) And, when creating a new event, which calendar is it pushed to? Both? Is it possible to designate which calendar it should push to?

2) Calendar hierarchy allows viewing of MobileMe calendar, Exchange calendar, both combined, or any specific MobileMe calendar. Contacts work identically with both MobileMe and Exchange on the iPhones. You basically press the Calendar button to move higher in the hiercharcy (simliar to switching accounts in Maii).
3) Calendar addition is added to whatever calendar is open when adding the event (Exchange, MobileMe category, or MobileMe default calendar if viewing all MobileMe calendars.) Yes, you can control push since you control which calendar receives addition.

Synching Notes with MobileMe?

I have been trying to set up Note app synch between my girlfriend's iPhone(3Gs) and iPad. Phone is updated to 4.2.1, iPad is new.
Here's the problem:
In General>Mail,Contacts,Calendars, I select her MobileMe account, and then select Notes ON.
No Default Account setting shows up under Notes settings or under Mail, Contacts,Calendars, so I cannot select MobileMe to synch.
Any suggestions?

If MobileMe is set up on both devices, then whenever you ad a new note on either the iPhone or the iPad, you should see the little spinning gear going right after you hit "done" when you a finished creating or editing the note. That means it's syncing back to the server.

3GS Sync Causing Double Sets of Contacts & Calendars?

I activated my 3GS this morning. I restored from my last backup. Then when it was up and running in did a sync w/ Mobile Me - now I have 'on my iphone' and 'on my mac (mobileme)' in both calendar and contacts - how do i get rid of the 'on my iphone' sets?!?! ie when I go to 'all contacts' or 'all calendars' I don't have to look at duplicates of everything and when add or edit something I know it's going to the 'cloud' and not to t he 'on my iphone' part...

Open "Settings" on the iPhone>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks>Accounts>your MobileMe account and turn off Contacts, when prompted delete data, and wait two minutes, then turn Contacts back on. When asked merge the data, make that choice, and wait patiently. You should no longer have duplicates. If you are able, I recommend using a Wi-Fi connection to make the change.
