Contacts: can't see the number of cards at the bottom of the list

Question

Hello,
For once the problem is not complicated.
I can't see the number of cards in "all my contacts" or any group on ML. No probs on previous system.
Apparently some people have can see the number of cards, some other can't.
Does anyone might know where to problem come from and hos to solve
The ML version is 10.8.4, contacts 7.1 and ML is a clean install (no upgrade) and no import of old prefs.

Not that I know of, except running an Applescript to count them.
Copy and paste this into a new document in Applescript Editor, then run
tell application "Contacts"
          set theList to {}
          repeat with aGroup in groups
                    copy name of aGroup & ": " & (count people in aGroup) & return to end of theList
          end repeat
  display dialog theList as string
end tell
You could Save it as an application and run it when you need it.
