Contacts copy lumia 620 with broken screen

Hi,
Is there any way to get contacts copied from lumia 620 if the screenclass is broken and you can´t use the phone?
What i can do is to connect it to my pc via usb. Contacts are only in the phone not in skydrive etc.

You can't access the phone details unless the phon is unlocked when you attach it to USB. Then again contacts are not available through USB either.. If you did not sync contacts to skydrive at http://people.live.com or did not use one of the many backup tools/apps available you will not have access until your screen is replaced.
When sending the phone off for repair make sure there is a clear instruction with the phone not to reset or update it.

  • Nokia 1209 with broken screen i need contacts.

I have a broken screen and i need to copy the contacts from phone to screen. Does anyone know the keystrokes/steps to do this?

I think the ´up´on this answer is for a phone with a 3x3 grid. Does anyone know the key sequence to get into ´contacts´ with a list menu?
    Thanks

But why don't transfer them to the SIM card memory instead?

    hi
I have a lumia 620 and have set up email with my yahoo account - it can sync and recieve emails fine but if i try to send or reply to emails it comes up with "you need to update your account settings" anyone got any ideas? account name and password are correct so i just cant understand it
    cheers

iSync itself is only for syncing Contacts and Calendars to non-Apple mobile phones via a USB or Bluetooth connection. However the iSync application does provide access to a couple of settings that affect system-wide syncing.
To turn on the Sync menu, open iSync's Preferences, and then check the *Show status in menu bar* option

  • Does apple replace iphone 4s with broken screen?

I want to learn about the apple replacement program. thanks!

If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
ATTN: Beginning July 2013 Apple Stores are now equipped to do screen repairs/replacements in-house on iPhone 5s. In some cases while you wait. According to Apple this is the beginning of equipping Apple Stores with the resources needed to do most repairs for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches that would not require major replacements. Later in the year the services may be extended as Apple Stores become equipped and staffed with the proper repair expertise. So, if you need a screen repaired or a broken screen replaced or have your stuck Home button fixed, call your local Apple Store to see if they are now doing these in-house.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:
Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 or visit online Help for more information.

You will find respective repair costs in the appropriate link:

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task:
    1. iResq or Google for others.

  • Backup and sync iPhone with broken screen

I recently dropped my iPhone 5s and broke the display.  The phone itself is fine; I can still hear it receive text messages and emails but the screen iself is blacked out.  I am assuming that it is a hardware problem.  Anyway, my friend tried to reset by pressing the home and power button.  Now, whenever I plug the phone into a charger or my computer, the phone emits an incessant beeping noise every 5 seconds.  What is this noise?  And also, I can no longer use features on my phone like Siri and such after my friend tried to reset the phone.  Is my phone broken?  I cannot really tell if this is a problem that can be fixed with a new screen or if there is something worse wrong with my phone.
Additionally, I have tried to backup my phone by connecting to my computer but it doesn't allow a backup to take place because it needs a passcode to be entered on the phone itself which, of course, is impossible since my display is broken.  However, I was able to synchronize my phone to my computer.  My question is that, if I get a completely new phone, can I restore to a previous backup and then synchronize to the most recent synchronization?  Also, if you have any knowledge on the other questions, I would greatly appreciate some information.  Thanks!

    Hello,
I apologise if this is a really stupid question.
I last backed up my phone a few weeks ago, carried on taking pictures with it etc, and then dropped it, breaking the screen which turned black with a single white line down the middle.
I can receive calls by guessing where to swipe so it is sort of working.
A new iPhone is in the post, but I can't back this phone up because I get the following message when I try:
"iTunes could not back up the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be backed up."
I have been searching the web, but can't find a way to unlock the phone.
So (unless anyone has a genius idea, in which case I will love them forever), what will I lose if I don't sync?
I don't think I should lose the photos I took since my last sync, since Photostream should take care of that, no?
    Many thanks, C
There is no way for you to backup with a broken screen.
You will lose whatever wasn't backup.

  • Lumia 620 - Over sensitive screen, is this a fault...

    Hi
In certain situations the screen on my lumia 620 will turn mega sensitive. It will detect my thumb above the screen and input letters and characters I am not touching. Sometimes it will even input letters on the bottom row when my thumb is over the top row, or it will think I am long pressing- and I will get accented characters pop up as if I am holding the key.
Locking and unlocking usually solves it, but just now it did it twice In a row. Is this a fault, or just a quirk?

It is generally on the onscreen keyboard that is affected. It becomes impossible to type when it suddenly registers every movement of my thumb- as if I am dragging across the screen, when I am not. Do you imagine this to be a hardware fault?

  • Cannot back up iPhone with broken screen (asking for password).

So I have pretty much destroyed my phone in a biking accident.  It somewhat functions, but the screen is so badly damaged that I cannot operate it.  It destroyed the frame enough that it cannot read my sim card for what it's worth.  Anyway, I wanted to perform a last backup before I got rid of this thing and it is asking to put in my password on iTunes.  The problem is that I cannot type it in cause my screen is so far gone.  Any options for me?
Also, is there a way to wipe it clean without using the screen?

Same thing happened to me: broken screen on iPhone 5; iTunes prompted me to unlock phone when attempting to do a tethered backup & sync; same computer I always did backups/syncs on and didn't need to unlock phone before screen was broken. My solution, because the phone looked otherwise fine (doesn't sound like yours is though) was to remove my girlfriend's iPhone 5's screen and temporarily replace my broken screen with hers (followed iFixit tutorials).  Everything worked (good thing, otherwise I promised I would buy her a new phone) and sync w/ backup started without me having to unlock the phone, then I put the screen back on the original device and now I'm waiting for my iPhone 6 to come 9/19 and I'll restore from backup. So the broken screen was obviously the thing that triggered iTunes to not allow a backup without unlocking. Another sign something was wrong before I swapped screens was when I connected the broken phone to the charger:  I got a repeating charging-bong sound going off at about a three second interval between bongs.

  • Near new ipod touch with broken screen

I have a 2 week old  ipod touch 4 with a broken screen. Can anyone tell me if it is covered buy warranty (unlikely l know) and if not what are the costs involved in getting it fixed and are the do - it - yourself kits any good.

It's not covered by the warranty. Here are the costs for the repair by Apple: Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
But you can also search the Internet for 3rd party repair, but you'll have no warranty after that by Apple anymore.

  • Backup of an iPad with broken screen

    hi all,
I have an iPad of a collegue with a broken screen, it just gives a few brightly colored lines. I can't see anything and can't type in the PINcode. There's no current backup and I would very much like to make a backup. I now, my collegue should thought of that befare, it's probably a lesson ;-)
When I connect it to iTunes it asks me unlock the device but I can't see the keyboard and it isn't working at all.
Is there a way to enter the pincode on a different way? Can I connect it to the iPad keyboard dock and type in the pincode?
any help would be very much appriciated.

In order to save on shipping and repair costs, you might want to look up a local Mac expert. That way, you save on shipping and repair. Find one who offers a warranty, and comes with references.

  • IMac with broken screen

    hi guys,
my friend has an iMac 24" with a broken screen. is it possible to connect this to a normal monitor and use the iMac like a desktop computer?
    thanks!

There is a Mini-DVI output port with support for DVI, VGA, S-video, and composite video connections via adapter on the back to connect a second display. You would just need the correct cable and to set the second display to mirror the primary display.
The damage isn't covered under warranty?

  • Droid x2: how to access contacts with broken screen

My droid X2 screen doesn't work and it doesn't answer phone calls, so it's partly broken, but it does produce the 'Droid' sound when I get an email, so it's not totally dead.  Is there any way I can get access to my contacts info so I can input them to my new phone?  I don't care if it's a text file or xml or anything...

Broken phones are no fun georgeryoung! Let's get your contacts transfered to your new phone! If you had your contacts synced/saved to your Gmail account just setup the same Gmail account on your new phone & your contacts will appear on your new phone. If you had contacts saved via Backup Assistant, just run Backup Assistant http://vz.to/ISRJSK on your new phone and your contact will appear. Keep us posted.

  • Nokia 6133 - Transferring data with broken screen?

I clumsily dropped my phone last week and broke the screen. The phone is still operational, but the screen is totally worthless. I'm trying to copy my text messages and contacts from my broken phone to my new phone - but unfortunately neither were saved on the SIM card. The guy at the cell store plugged it into a reader, but it asks him to select settings for mass transfer, and since the screen is broken, he doesn't know which buttons to press or how to select the right settings.
Does anyone know what the correct key stroke combinations would be to copy the texts/contacts? Or know of somewhere I could find screen shots of the process? I'd love to be able to rescue my old info.
    Thanks!

I have this exact same problem!
Can anyone with the Nokia 6133 take pictures of the screens progressing towards the mass transfer option?  Or even just typing out a solution would be really helpful.  I would be eternally grateful.
    Thanks!
