Contacts do not get synchronized

Hi,
I'm using PC-Sync to synchronize my 6110 Navigator with my Outlook 2003. The configuration of PC-Sync is set to transfer data only from my mobile phone to my PC, not both directions. This is working fine for calendar data and files. 
However, for some reason, existing contacts do not get updated in Outlook, even if one or more details changed, only new contacts are transferred.
In order to work around that situation, I have deleted all contacts in Outlook. Even now, not one contact is being transferred into Outlook, although there are 0 contacts on my PC and around 250 on my mobile phone.
Can anyone help me to find a way how to synchronize my contact data?

Check the type of synchronisation that your phone contacts have. If set to 'private'on the phone, they will not be sent to the host. Avoids that your mistress's name gets spread. If set to 'public' (or similar) my phone contacts finally (took 3 months to figure) in exchange on PC. Hope this helps. It sorted half of my sync probelms for contacts.
The other half is that sub-folders that you keep under your Contacts folder are *not* recognised by the phone applications.The funny thing is that all details of contacts in these subfolders are fully automatically deleted from your phone. Really annoying and I can't figure out how to correct without sacrificing sub-folders on PC.

    Your entire second paragraph is so confusing I am going to ignore it.
    But I may be able to answer your first and third paragraphs, which seem to address the same question.
    I wonder where your iPhone states it was backed up yesterday.  I am going to assume that you see this under Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
    If that is true, then the backup from yesterday is in iCloud.  The one and only way to restore an iCloud backup is to do this on your iPhone:
    Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
    That will cause your iPhone to begin a setup process.  As part of that process, assuming you enter the same Apple ID you used when you created the iCloud backup, you will be offered the opportunity to restore from it.

    Something must be wrong on Google's servers.  I have two accounts on my phone, one work and personal and for both accounts the contacts stopped syncing and actaully disappeared from my phone. The email and calendar appear to still by suncing, but contacts are not.
    It was working fine a day or two ago and just stopped.
    I also tried setting it up just using carddav.  Settigns>Mail>Other>Card Dav and entering google.com for ther server.  It won't sync and this always worked before.

    I know that if i delete or edit a contact on icloud.com it gets deleted or edited on my ios devices. I want to know if this works the other way round, meaning if i delete a contact on my iphone/ipad will it be deleted from icloud?

    Yes.  iCloud syncing is bi-directional.  Changes made on your device are reflected on icloud.com and all other devices sharing the same iCloud account, and vice versa.

    Make sure you have checked off iCloud contacts in your Contacts app under Groups in upper left corner.

      I've come across something odd with Outlook 2013 and was hoping for your wisdom.  When I create a task with notes on a mobile device (tested with WIndows phone 8.1 and iOS 8), the notes portion of the task will only sync with outlook (via Exchange
    2013) if it's in cached exchange mode.  Now we have several users who log in using RDS, and Outlook is configured for online mode only.  When Outlook is in Online mode, the notes field of a task does not sync correctly.
      Any help would be appreciated.

    It showed the notes in OWA, but still no joy in Outlook on our terminal server (in Online mode) after deleting and recreating the profile.
    Also repeatable on my workstation when I change outlook from cached exchange mode to online mode.
    Changes I make while in online mode sync back to the other devices, just not the other way around.

    It seems that the Task notes can be viewed correctly in OWA but not in Outlook on your terminal server. Please check whether there is any mail related scanning or third-party add-ins in your Outlook client and local machine.
    We can start Outlook in safe mode and change a computer without RDS to check whether the issue persists.
    Additionally, please create the Task notes with Outlook client instead of using Mobile device. Then check whether the issue can be reproduced.

  • When adding a new OU container to User Profile Sync the users does not get synchronized

    We have an OU that users on leave are located. These users would "fall out" of sharepoint when moved to this OU, so I went in the sync and ticked on that that OU to be synced as well.
    When running a new sync after this change, it only syncs one user, although the OU has about 30 users there. Same result if I do a full sync or an incremental sync.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Double check that the user really is being synced. The most common issue is caused by user error when people think a user is being synced but is not.
    Once you've validated that the user in the OU really is being updated in SharePoint you should check your synchronisation connection rules. Identify which filters you have set and check one of the non-importing users in the OU. Check each and every one of
    those filters to try to identify which is causing them to be removed.
    Finally you can also check the MIIS client which sometimes gives more information about why users are or are not being imported.

  • Sync w/outlook contacts does not include notes section

    Syncing between BB and Outlook works perfectly except that the "notes" section of a "contact" does not get transferred to the contact on my BB.  I have looked at the "mapped fields", address book on the BB desktop and find that "device - notes" is supposed to sync with "MS Outlook - body".  This seems backwards as Outlook has a "notes" section but no "body" section. 
    BB and desktop upgrades are current.  Computer OS is Win Home Premium 7 64-bit. Outlook is Office 2010.
    Any guidance would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Surely one of you really smart users has a solution to transfering the "notes" section of an Outlook contact to the BB when doing a general syncronization to BB.  The process used to work but has not worked with the latest upgrade on the BB.  Again any hints will be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Has your carrier been having issues with Call Display? Do the telephone numbers come up when people call, or does it just show 'Unknown Number' or 'Blocked' ?

    Have you talked to your carrier (or your friend to his)?  Could be an issue at their end.

    Need some help on Web User Management functionality.
    Sub: Contact person Relationship data not getting updated when we change the company (to wich contact person belong to) in ISA CRM 5.0 Web User Management.
    we are currently on CRM ISA 5.0 and using Web User Managment for our B2B scenario. New creation of users is working fine. But when we want to change the company (Sold to pary) for the existing contact person, the relationship data in CRM is not getting updated and the below are the details.
    Contact person No: XXXX (has a Relationship: "Is contac person for YYYY company in CRM)
    Company/Sold to Party: YYYY (has a relationship "Has contact person XXXX in CRM).
    When I chage the contact person's (XXXX) company  from  YYYY to ZZZZ,
    - Relationships of the new assignment for ZZZZ in CRM not getting updated.
    - Old Records in YYYY is not getting deleted (i.e. relationships.
    - There is No relationship data appear in XXXX.
    Appreciate any inputs on the same.

    Hi Rahul,
    I'd suggest you running a session trace / ABAP debugging to see if some information is not getting passed from the Java stack onto the ABAP stack. An alternate move would be to create a new OSS customer message.

    If you're using your phone as recommended, your contacts reside on your computer in Outlook, Address Book, or with a cloud service.  Just synch your contacts to your phone from your computer or cloud service.

Maybe you are looking for
