Contacts got mixed up help pls
i used an itunes account for 2 iphones, mine and my dads, then somehow all my dads contacts got on my phone as well, i was wondering how can i cancel it , like get rid of all my dads contact off my phone, i tried to look at setting andstuff and couldnt find a solution. any suggestions would be appreciated
Stop using the same Apple ID for iCloud on both devices.
Do not delete the contacts from your device, they will be deleted from iCloud and all connected devices.

The easiest way to delete the calendars on your nano is to click on the nano icon in the finder and put the 'Calendars' folder into the trash. (Then, empty the trash, of course .

I have an i-pad and have just got an i-phone but want 2 use a different I cloud? I've set up new email account and apple ID, but I can't change the I-cloud settings, can u help PLS??
The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.

I got 2 iPhones & an iPod connected to my laptop and I wanted to access my iPod iTunes library but only the iTunes for 1 iPod keeps popping up and I don't want the files on it to sync to my iPod. How can I separate the 3 libraries and open them separately? Please help. I'm becoming very frustrated.
There is only one library. The one on your computer.

Facetime contacts disappeared from my contacts. I cant access it. im using iphone 4s. Facetime and imessage menu from settings cant be tapped for turning on and off, my icloud is not working too. I cant log out to my apple id too because it is also cannot be tapped. All of these four turned into gray color in the settings menu. Help pls! Thanks!
Back up your music and install from the website. You probably won't need to do this, but if your library is erased, restore it from the backup.

Can anyone help pls...I bought an audiobook on my iPhone. This has now disappeared (after I had to do a factory reset) and I can't figure how to retrieve - either to my laptop or phone, altho it is showing in my iTunes purchases. Tks
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so it won't show for re-downloading. If you haven't got a copy of it anywhere (if it's on your computer's iTunes then it should be in the Books part of your library) and it's still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

I need to back up and sync multiple iPhones to a single iMac. Each iPhone has a separate Apple ID and the data from each iPhone needs to be backed up separately from the others. How can I do this without getting all of the contacts, etc. mixed? Tnx

For some reason out of the blue my contacts get mixed up by my BlackBerry q10
Eg. "Peter Miller"s details are suddenly (inconsistently) merged with "John Smith". Both are saved contacts. This keeps happening without my touching the phone.
I can get an email by "peter miller" and by the time I reply the reply to recipient becomes "john smith"
Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestion?
I'm on the latest OS release.

Do you synchronize your contacts with Microsoft Outlook or any other email accounts? Just to clarify, do the fields for the numbers and names change? If not, can you clarify what the contacts are doing.

Ever since i plugged my iphone into the computer, all of my music has been messed up. The songs don't have the right album cover i guess they all just got mixed up somehow. i dont know but its annoying and im not sure how to fix it.
If not this:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

How do i get icloud contacts back into Outlook contacts? My outlook contacts got wiped off in a pst export.
I think i want to tell icloud to sync with Outlook and make icloud the controlling account. NOT outlook to iclout. there are 6325 contacts in icloud. only 12 in outlook. about 10 days ago i had same amount in OL and icloud. i had to restore my computer PC. My iphone is correct. Try the below steps on your iPhone,
Go to settings>iCloud and Login with your Apple Id.
Contacts should be on, click on it to turn it off and choose keep (even if it shows you no contacts)
When the process is done go ahead and turn on contacts again, choose merge. All your contacts should show up if you had a previous backup to icloud.

Help. I have the same problem. I can receive email but can not send email from my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4.
I have been reading posts about this issue until my eyes are rectangular.
I have tried the following:
1. Removing the passwords from the keychain.
2. Trying the various ports (default set, custom 25 alone, custom 465 alone, custom 587 alone)
3. Unticking the Use SSL box. Interesting note, it sometimes self-ticks this box.
4. Supplying full email name in the userid box. Interesting note, it sometimes self-corrects to just the plain userid prefix.
5. Running repair disk permissions
6. Turning offline all mailbox accounts and then turning then back online.
7. Rebooting numerous times
8. Force Quit of Mail and numerous normal quits and restarts.
9. All software updates have been installed.
10. I may have forgotten some of the more bizarre things I have tried but I have not got to the point of deleting the entire account (and all of its 3 years of emails).
I have a sister MacBook Pro (same operating system, larger screen, same ISP, same email provider, same power source, etc.) sitting right next to this one and it is working fine - mail comes in and mail goes out. It is on the same network and I have dutifully copied all of the parameters and this still does not solve the issue. Surely, there is more witchcraft out there that I can try? New to this "posting" process. Not even sure how to get back to see if anyone has any further suggestions. Thanks to all those who have tried to provide suggestions. Much appreciated but I am still stuck with webmail! Arghhhh. Ron -
i try to burn cd and all i get is error 4251 i have tried to reduced the speed but still i keep getting this error message any help pls from anyone....

I burned one CD (there was an error message after burning) and it doesn't play properly. Subsequent attempts to burn the same playlist - and I tried a different playlist too, just in case it was that particular album - result in the error message mentioned in the above posting. It starts to burn, then ejects the cd with the message "error 4251", even when I select a slower write speed. Diagnostics show no problem, but it seems to test only for reading, not writing. Here's the diagnostic message I got:

The error probably occurred when you tried to launch the class as an application by entering "java PostfixInterpreter" The java application launcher looks for a method in the PostfixInterpreter class whose signature is exactly public static void main(String[] args)(except 'args' can be any legal variable name). I had an original X-Fi card that came with my Dell XPS70 3 years ago. Working perfectly, until I upgraded to WinXP, SP3 (from SP2).
BAM - lots of BSODs, always in ha20x2k.sys. Many times, all networking would just stop, and the BSOD would happen when shutting down the computer. Networking would fail 00% everytime I watched any kind of video (news, youtube, whatever).
Couldn't find more current drivers, bought X-Fi ExtremeGamer card from Frys. Could not get this to install off the package CD, new card was not recognized by Windows. Install would always hang on "On-Screen display" (I have a dual monitor system - should that matter?)
Eventually, downloaded more current drivers and console app from the Creative website and got audio working. Console will now launch but the moment I try to change something in the EQ panel, the console crashes, 00% of the time. Other Creative apps (e.g. diagnostics) fail with this error:? "The audio device supported by this application may not be present or may be operating in an unsupported mode..."
I haven't been able to "cleansweep" my system, the link in this (Creative) forum is broken.
REALLY hoping someone can help get this working... Have spent 2 days away from business to try to make this work properly, and am out of things to try.
