Contacts Issue (Country Field)

HELP! I have tapped the Country field under one of my contacts when I was editing the address info. Now my contacts screen (under phone icon) is in regions/countries list form and I can't get back to my contacts list screen. I tried tapping anything available, but nothing...Any ideas???

Turning the iPhone off and back on fixed the problem. I tried this before and it didn't work. After fixing the problem, I tried doing the same thing again (tapping the Country field) and it worked OK, I was able to get back to my contacts. It must have been some sort of glitch.

Syncmyride. That's what's having the problem. If it were handing the data properly, it wouldn't be a problem. You should not have to remove data from your contacts in order for an app that is accessing the contact data to work correctly. This is a bug in syncmyride. It has nothing to do with iCloud or anything else that Apple controls.

Printing the "country" field on envelopes

I noticed that there is a setting to print the "country: field, but then another setting called "except my country". What is this supposed to do?
The reason I ask is that this option always hides this field, regardless of whether it is my country (United Kingdom) or Germany, or United States or whatever.
Is there somehwere I should set my own country so that Address Book knows which country I live in? My own entry in the Address Book already has this, but perehaps there's somewhere else?

I think I have got it working the way it is obviously intended to. It doesn't matter what you have on your "me" card, Address Book assumes that "my country" is the one selected in Preferences/General/Address Format. After that, it doesn't matter what you have in the country field of a contact, it will decide if they are in "my country" based on the address format selected for their card. You can change this in edit mode by clicking the type (home, work etc) label of the address field.

Country field mandatory when phone number is registered in BP creation

Hi all,
I have next question.
We are creating in IC Webclient Contact Persons not related to an account and even in configuration we put as "optional" country field, if we create them registering a phone number system shows message "country field is required".....do you know if there´s a way to put as optional or a default value to minimize this?...

Hi Gonzalo,
Telephone (and other communication data such as fax , email) can be of two tyeps :
1. Address dependent - needs you to first maintain the address If you delete the address, all the communication data maintained for this address is also deleted
2. Address independent. - does not need address. This data remains irrespective of the existence of any address.
In this case, you are attempting to default the address dependent telephone number - and this is not allowed in case you don't have an address( and since country is a mandatory field for address, you get the error )
The solution here is for you to simply create the telephone as an address independent number, in which case it is linked to the partner directly. This is how the link is maintained.
Address dependent comm data-
Find the address number from BUT020 for the partner, use this address number in ADR2 to get the address dependent tel num.
Address independent comm data-
Get the address number from BUT000 (field ADDRCOMM) . Use this address num in ADR2 to get the address indpependent tel num.
This will solve your problem.

Add the country field in the main details tab of the CRMD_BUS2000126

Hi Experts,
I have the following business scenario : Need to display the country field in the Details tab of the PCUI activity application which normally appears under the Location tab of the application.
This is what I have done uptil now:
1) Added the country field in the screenstructure CRMT_BSP_ACT_DETAILS
2) Added the field in the field group ACT_OVERVIEW
3) Regenerated the field group
Problem is that the field still does not show under the details tab.
For your information :
   1) All the tabs including the Location tab ( only excluding the Details tab ) have been hidden from display.
   2) In the debug mode , I could see that the READ method of the class CL_CRM_BSP_IL gets the screenstructure CRMT_BSP_ACT_DETAILS with the country field added correctly , so I guess this is not a interaction layer / application issue. But after that the field gets lost in the framework layer.
Any expert suggesion for the steps as well as the likely solution is appreciated.

       As you said that in Devbug you can see that filed is added to your structure perfectly bit its not visible on your screen !!! Correct !!!!
        For this 1st check for standard screen varint is set for that screen or not.
    and try to tick ur new filed as visible in STD screen varints for that screen..
i am sure that it will get done after using varint.

I have facing an issue : Balancing field "Business area" in line item 001 not filled
I have maintained material management small difference account (DIF), to post the small differences... between PO value and (vendor) Invoice Value....
At the time of posting invoice system giving this error... even after maintaining the business area and profit center in MIRO transaction...
Here we have activated Document splitting in FI, also Business Area & Profit Center are mandatory fields..
Pls give some inputs in fixing this issue..

There could be multiple reasons for this. Pls check on:
1. For the Expense Account assigned in DIF, have u made the assignment for deriving Profit Center & Business Area in T Code OKB9
2. Ask your FI Consultant to check the Splitting Characteristics for the MIGO. Check the Splitting Characteristics assigned to the Accounting Document Type assigned to T Code MIGO. Also check if all the GL Accounts have been assigned a splitting characteritics. The path is:
IMG> Financial Accounting(New)>General Ledger Accounting (New)>Business Transactions>Document Splitting
3. Do you maintain profit center as a default in material Master? If yes, check if the same has been assigned in the view extended for the plant concerned?
Pls check the settings. If any doubt, revert back.

Email and Contact Issues

My emails are not coming through to my phone unless I manually refresh. I have three accounts setup (Yahoo! and 2 school email accounts). Both school accounts, when I sign on from a computer says something about Outlook: one says Mircosoft outlook and the other says Outlook live.
I contacted my school and got the correct settings for each account. They work because I get the emails as long as I manually refresh. I initially had my phone set to check for mail every hour but after realizing it was not automatically doing this, I set it for every five minutes. That still didn't help.
Out of frustration, I called Verizon who told me they knew nothing about such an issue. They connected me to Samsung who said the same thing. Apparently they were both lying as I have Googled this issue and see that it has been posted since Sept 2010. I just have not noticed a solution (possibly overlooking it).
The solution that they gave me was so a hard reset (didn't work), delete then re-add the accounts (didn't work) or use a workaround. My response to their last suggestion was that I did not feel it was necessary for me to do that when the phone I purchased was supposed to handle email. This has been an issue since I got the phone in Nov 2010 when I switched to VZ. I didn't really notice it until this month because I was having text messaging issues which they didn't fix until this month.
Samsung ended up telling me to send them my phone and they would troubleshoot it but I had to contact VZ about getting a loaner phone as they were going to have it for a week. When I called VZ back, they told me they would just send me a replacement phone and to not send the phone to Samsung because they could have given me a defective phone. The order wasn't placed because their system was down that Friday and the guy was supposed to call me back. He never did so I called VZ a third time.
The tech support rep told me that she was positive that if I got a brand new phone I would still have the same problem because its a known issue that Samsung has yet to fix. Also she had the same phone and also some other people she worked with. She told me to make sure I deleted junk mail, sent stuff, kept the inbox down, and empty the trash and that should help. She was supposed to call me back and see if it helped (which it didn't). She never called back....that was Monday and today is Friday.
Now I'm feeling like they are lying to me because they don't want to replace my device. Then on top of that they told me it would more than likely be a refurbished device instead of a brand new device even though I still have a warranty. Should I push for a new phone or is this really a known issue with Samsung that they have yet to fix? If it is a Samsung issue, what's the workaround until they actually fix it?
By the way, Gmail works almost instantaneously. They told me to forward all of my mail there but that didn't work for my two school accounts. I don't like that anyway.
As for the contact issues, I just noticed two weeks ago that my Facebook and Twitter contacts are unsyncing themselves. I don't have all of my Facebook friends or Twitter followers in my phonebook but those whose phone numbers I have, are linked to their Facebook and or Twitter accounts but I notice that both of these accounts unlink themselves. I have no idea why this happens. I keep having to go back into my phonebook and relink about 30 people to their Facebook and or Twitter profiles. Any idea why?

I uncheck the box and recheck it and then it turns green again. What I don't know is why it randomly turns red in the first place. I'm assuming this is the reason the Facebook and Twitter stuff unsyncs itself.

Vendor Country field attribute

I am setting attributes to certain fields on Vendor master to swith to DISPLAY mode for a certain accoutn groups.
Under general data , i dont see "COUNTRY" field.
If I want to make the country field to DISPLAY mode for certian account group , how can I achieve that?

You ar eright you would not find the Country field either in the General data, Company Code data or Purchasing Data
Country field settings are done Globally
path would be SPRO-> SAP Netweaver ->General Settings ->Set Countries -> ****
Here you could have some option to set up the Country only in the display mode
One thing is sure that you will not find out the infromation where you were searching earlier
and country is mostly taken as Manadatory field

Default country field for BP Account

Hello when I create an Account I want to default the country field to "US".
I have enhanced component BP_ADDR and view STANDARDADDRESS.
So what method or where can I put in code to default the country field (STRUCT.COUNTRY) to set the value to "US" upon creation?

No 'country' field in EQUI_ADDR

EQUZ
EQKT
adrc have COUNTRY field.

Is there a way I can extract VBAP-EAN11 from a different field dependent on the country KNA1-LAND1 or any other table where I should be able to extract EAN11 based on the country.

'Country' Field in Address

Is the field 'country' in Additional information > Address cannot be identified as an individual field? I cannot find 'country' as a field in 'Lead' record type. How can i get the pick list values of 'country' field?

In the lead record type field setup it is called "Billing". The country picklist which can not be changed determines which fields appear in the address block.

IOS contacts issue

After i upgrade my iphone from 4.3.3 to 5.0, its very difficult to view contacts. If I save a contact including country code, the names will not appear in incoming calls but name appear in message and vs.
So this is like old Nokia phones. I wonderwhether this is a bug or Apple just changed this whole thing. Its very difficult when this happens. I have to save every contact with country code and without. This is a temp solution i found. I think iOS 4.3.5 contacts works same as this. I kindly request Apple to fix this.

Not only the Verizon version unfortunately. We have the same problem here in some parts of the Middle East. I have heard reports from Kuwait and Bahrain, and I'm located in Oman and the problem exists here as well. And no solution except downgrading the phone back to iOS 4.3.5.
