Contacts Lost after IOS6 upg appearing in Outlook 2010 but not in iPhone
On Friday before upgrading my iphone 4, I had to use one of the contacts in the address book, then today, 1 day after upgrade I looked for the recent list and found that the contact had 'gone', then after looking around in the address book/contacts list I could not find any details of it at all.
It still appears in the Outlook address book (this is complete) but the does not sync to the iphone, even after completing a restore.....
does anyone have any bright ideas about this problem, and has anyone else had this issue.
...and I did not find it in the spotlight function.....
any help apprciated

I can't get the iCloud Contacts and Calendar folders to appear in Outlook 2010 using the iCloud Control Panel. Also the datafile share which ends in .aplzod is not created in Outlook. The Contacts and Calendar are sent to iCloud (verified on iCloud.com) but the iCloud folders are not created in Outlook in the Contacts and Calendar navigation panes. I get a message toward the end of the sync process indicating that there was an unspecified error. I'm using the newest version of the iCloud Control Panel, the 32 bit version of Outlook 2010, Windows 7 64 bit, an iPhone 3GS, and the latest version of iTunes. Hello. I have the same problem - I upgraded to iOS 5 and in the process lost my contacts and ALL my SMS. I know that we can use backups to restore the information. But the problem is that my back ups are May 2011 and the day I did the upgrade, so nothing helpful there. I don't think the system did a backup before the upgrade. I did the upgrade on october 22. And for that date i have two back ups. I restored the phone to the older backup and it restored my contacts but not my SMS. Is there ANY way I can get my SMS back????

Some iCloud mail folders are not appearing in Outlook 2010.
Some of my iCloud folders are no longer appearing in Outlook 2010 using Windows 7. I have the same identical missing folders on two different PCs. This is a fairly recent problem; I don't believe I had this problem until the last week or so. I would appreciate some help fixing this problem.
I found the answer shortly after posing the question. For whatever reason, I was no longer subscribed to the missing folders. I went to the View page, clicked on IMAP folders, subscribed to the folders and all is well.

i have updated my iphone to ios6 but when I receive a message it does appear in my newsfeed but not on the app. Normally there was a red sign with a 1 or 2, ... inside but that's gone, is it normal?

Exchange 2010's "Online Archive" doesn't appear in Outlook 2010

I recently installed Exchange 2010, and all is working fine but the online archive feature.
I activated it for 2 of my users, it appears correctly in OWA, but doesn't appear in Outlook 2010 (Tech Preview).
What I am missing ? The only howtos I found state that you only have to setup Outlook, and the main mailbox + the online archive will appear... But I just have the main mailbox.
If you've an idea... :)I did some testing on this whole Personal Archive thing as even when using a new version and new license key the archive wasn’t showing in Outlook 2010 (yet was showing in OWA).
So I setup two machines (VMs) running Windows 7 Ultimate.
One was x64 and the other x86 but vanilla installs.
Installed Office 2010 Professional Plus download from TechNet (the iso image with both x86 and x64 versions on it).
Installed the lastest Office updates published via MS Update.
Used the same license key for both installs of Office.
Exchange 2010 backend running SP1.
When the machines are not in a domain the archive doesn’t show in Outlook (both x86 and x64).
Pop the machines into the same AD domain as the Exchange server and hey presto the archive shows on both Outlook versions (x86 and x64).
Just to check things I removed them from the domain - archive folder missing again.
Re-added back to domain - archive folder shows.
It seems for the TechNet version anyhow the machine should be in a domain.
I can’t comment on other versions/license keys.

Tried Microsoft help but so far unable to identify problem.
Thought it might be connected to java but removal of java makes no difference
Starting in safe mode resolves problem but about 500 add ons suspectedIf it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.<br />
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

* If you have many extensions then you can first enable half of the extensions to test which half has the problem.
Continue to divide the bad half that still has the issue until you find which one is causing it. -
Outlook 2010 does not receive rss messages
Hi,I have recently uninstalled a freeware VPN.
After that outlook 2010 does not receive messages (bizarrely firefox works fine, but internet explorer does not)!
I keep receiving error code: 0x800c0008
I made sure that it is properly uninstalled.

Have you subscribed any RSS Feeds before? Please go to File > Info > Account settings > "RSS Feeds" Tab and check if all the feeds are healthy (connection successful?). Remove them to check
whether you would still receive the error code anymore.

Open the Finder.
From the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Typs this exactly as you see it here: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) to the Trash.
Relaunch either Firefox or Safarai and try downloading a PDF document.
