I recently got an error that my database is corrupted or something like that.I re opened skype nad when i logged i could notice that most of contacts were "removed" or missing and when i wanted to check my profile it didnt show 515 contacts like ussual it showed 715 which was very strange...I went into app data and renamed my folder into skype_old as i read on ur forums...
When i entered in skype again my contacts were at 0 and they are now at 200 (STUCK)and all of my history is deleted...can you help me please? I would like to restore all my contacts and history char,this is very important to me .

Installed Office 2010 yesterday on Inspiron 620, Windows 7. Contacts missing from PC but are in iCloud and showing up on iPad. Checked the icloud, signed off and back on. Still do not show up. Were there before the Office installation. I see iCloud on control panel but not in programs. It showed in programs before ioffice install as well as on control panel. I am having problems launching the standalone version of Lightroom 6 after I have gone through the install and activation process? Lightroom starts to open but "hangs" before any photos in the catalgue are displayed. I have contacted the chat support twice but they have not been able to fix the problem.

I went through the activation process yesterday and shut down my PC when I went to bed last evening. When I got up this morning and turned my PC on and then started Lightrom 6 (I upgraded from version 5) it started to launch but then just hung and became "not responsive". I I then uninstalled and then reinstalled the product today but the same thing happened. What is weird is that when I install from the standalone file I downloaded when I purchased the upgrade it looks like it's downloading the software again over the Internet? I have been having these problems for the last four or five days. I have contacted the chat support folks twice and they were able to get it working but whatever they did did not last as the problem reappeared again once the PC was shut down and then started up again.

Acrobat 9 Deactivate button greyed out, waiting didn't work, contacting Adobe chat support didn't work

I recently swapped a computer out. I need to move over the Acrobat install from the old computer to the new. I went to activate on the new computer and it said that the software had already been activated twice and would need to be deactivated on the old computer. I booted up the old computer and the Deactivate button was greyed out.
I read that waiting for a while will sometimes correct this but it did not after opening a document and waiting 30 minutes, still greyed out. Uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat on old computer, still greyed out.
I also tried contacting Adobe chat support and they pointed me here.

I tried to check with your account for the same email address that you using here on forums, but could find any order history.
Could you please tell me whether you have a retail or volume license for Acrobat 9.
So, I would request you to please Contact Customer Care and ask for an activation count reset, if possible in your case.

Address Book Contacts Missing with Exchange

I have seen this posted previously, but there has been little discussion.
My exchange setup in SL seems to work perfectly in iCal and Mail, but I am missing about 100 contacts out of the 200 or so contacts that should be there. I do not see anything common between these contacts that would make them go missing, except that most (maybe all of them) come from the same group. There are only a few contacts that synced over from this group, but most are missing. I have yet to determine if any contacts from my other groups are missing.
I have this same exchange account set up on a Windows machine and on my iPhone and everything syncs fine between those devices.

I am having the same problem. I updated to SL and about 1/3 of my contacts are missing. I still have them on my phone and am trying to figure out if there is a way to dowload them to my computer.

Contacts Missing from "To,CC" buttons on Outlook 2010

I recently restored Office from my backup to a different computer. Everything works
except my contacts do no appear when I click the "to" or "cc" buttons. All of the assistance that I have been able to find relates to Office 2007 and apparently does not apply to 2010 since there is no "tools" option with the appropriate tabs
or dropdowns.

Outlook 2010 have new interface, Tool tabs integrate into File ribbon.
If you have Contacts in the Contacts folder but they are not accessible when you click on the To button, check these settings:
Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is the box to enable as email address book is checked?
If this is grayed out...
Go to File – Account Settings, choose View or change existing directories or address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close
then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it.

HT204150 Outlook contacts missing address info

Since I started using iCloud with MS Outlook 2010, I am having 2 specific problems:
1. Essential info in the address field is now missing from my outlook entries. I have over 2500 entries in my contacts list, so I am really unsure how many contacts are affected.
2. There are multiple entries created for some often used contacts
I am sure many others would have faced similar problems. Can anyone advise how to fix these issues.

Another issue is that the phone still has the info, but Outlook entry is missing it. If I add the missing info to the Outlook entry, it duplicates that info on the phone entry.
I spent a lot of time cleaning up some of the important contacts in Outlook (a few hundred of them), and now find that the phone entries are all messed up.
What to do???

Some contacts missing on both iPhone and Outlook since installing iOS 7.1

I have an iPhone 5S which I successfully sync to Outlook 2007 using iCloud, until recently when I upgraded to iOS 7.1. Most contacts are still there on both my PC and iPhone, but as luck would have it, the ones missing are mostly the important ones for my business. I have tried turning OFF and then ON the settings in both iCloud on my PC and also on my iPhone - as I have often seen suggested for this type of problem - but without any success. I have frequently backed-up but they do not appear anywhere and, strangely, they are random from within the contacts list. Can anyone please advise a method of possibly restoring them? Thanks in advance.

Try installing Microsoft Word for iPad and using that instead. It is free to use as a reader and if you want to use with all its editing capabilities, you can pay the Office365 license.

Some Contacts Missing when Texting

If I start from the Contacts App, I can choose any contact and send that contact a text message.
When starting from the Text Messages App, tapping Compose, and trying to add a contact, many of my contacts are missing.

When you are in the text message application how are you searching for your contact? Are you doing first name, last name, email, phone number etc.. ?

3GS + OS4.0: Contact fileds missing and contacts missing

Since I upgraded to OS4.0 on my iPhone 3GS, two things have gone wrong:
1. Many of my contacts have disapeeared from the Contacts list. I can only find the missing contacts if I search for them in Spotlight Search. The other thing that has changed is that now all contacts that have not disappeared from the Contacts list appear as as belonging to a group called "All Contacts". What can I do to recover all the contacts that Spotlight Search can find somewhere in the phone but that do not appear in the Contacts list? There is no use in recovering a previous backup in Itunes, because I didn't do a backup before this issue. All the contacts are in the phone, except that maybe 75% of them are lost somewhere and only available through Spotlight Searck.
2. Since the update to 4.0, everytime I want to add a new contact, I only have two fields available: Mobile (phone) and Home (email). All the other fields (such as Home phone, Work phone, etc.) are missing. Is there any way to solve this?

Yes, I've tried all that.
And I was already thinking of restoring as new, but I was afraid I would lose something on the way. Is there a way to restore as new and then go back to any OS version previous to 4.0? Will all my apps, music and contacts be available after restoring?

The basics from the manual are reboot, reset, and restore.
Have you rebooted the device?
Have you tried resetting all settings?
If neither of those works, the next step would be to restore as new and then re-sync your contacts, media, and apps.

Favorites and Contacts Missing from Phone App

When I go into the Phone App on my Iphone 6 I only see Recents, Keypad and Voicemail at the bottom. I used to see Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad and Voicemail. Favorites and Contacts are missing.
I still have the regular Contacts app and can see my contacts are in there so the issue is just related to the phone app.
This is what I see...

If the reset does not cure the issue, check Settings > General > Usage and make sure your available storage is at least 15% or so of your total storage.

Contacts missing/corrupted and calendar deleted on sync?

A couple of weeks ago I installed my new iPhone 4s - all straightforward, no issues, and everything worked fine. Yesterday I synced with my PC (to Outlook), and now have a host of problems:
1. Contacts are all missing the first names (the rest of the data seems to be OK). The problem is on both the iPhone and Outlook.
2. Some contacts are missing
3. Calendar was deleted - again on both iPhone and Outlook
I did a restore and a restor from backup, neither of which addressed the problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Contacts missing from Iphone 3GS after syncing

I synced my daughters iphone 3GS and then my iphone 3GS to the same itunes account on my pc. Most of my contacts were gone when I got done syncing but I had my daughters contacts. How do I get my contacts back? Ive synced my phone again to the same pc and it doesn't give me any options to fix my contacts.

I did set all my email contacts to be on the phone, and checked the iCloud. Re-synced the phone with itunes on my macbook. I have turned the phone off and left it turned off for 10 minutes and then turned it back on.
The contacts I am seeking are still missing.
One in particular I know had no email address associated with it.
I'm about ready to quit my iphone.
